I've eaten at this cafe a couple of times and I know it has a reputation for being very good. It was after 2 pm when I ate there today, and they had a steady business. The menu has a variety of salads, wraps, sandwiches, and burgers and there's a good choice. When you enter you take a menu and order at the counter and pay and someone brings your order to the table. I ordered a bacon, mushroom, and Swiss burger and after taking a few bites realized that my burger had no mushrooms. I went to the counter and told the waitstaff and she asked if I had ordered the mushrooms. ??? I told her it was listed on the menu that way. They grilled some mushrooms and later brought them to the table. Personally, I would rate the food as being 'just average'. Blue Sky is in a convenient and has quick service. The prices are reasonable and there's off-street parking. read more

We stopped by for late lunch and we were not disappointed. The atmosphere is a little cheesy but the food more than makes up for it. We had two wraps that were huge. My bf did not complain about portion size which he usually does with wraps. It would be a great place to pick up a wrap to go and find a nice overlook. Great value and friendly service. Just had the best lunch here. We got off I26 specifically to come here. So much better than fast food!!! They are busy but that's because they're so good. We heard good things about this place so we decided to try it out one night for dinner. Big mistake! We sat at the table in the middle of the restaurant and never got waited on! Servers literally walked passed us the whole time we were there and NO ONE greeted us or came to the table to get our order. I can't remember how long we waited, but it was long. This place seems to have an identity crisis, some things it does extremely well, while others failed miserably. I debated as to whether to give only two stars or four stars and ultimately struck a notch in the center. The restaurant looks to be a former fast food restaurant and is not much to look at outside. But inside it has a cool hip vibe with a Bob Marley color scheme. What is really cool is a little alcove kids play area, my youngest found it immediately and it kept her occupied till the food came. The place was reasonably clean and well furnished. The food was mixed, my Greek Chicken wrap was fantastic, as we're the burgers my family ordered were also hits. The side order of black beans and rice was inedible, the fries appeared to be frozen and the carrots were so big and thick you could break a tooth. Dessert on the other hand was locally made and extremely good. (I mean really really good.). Service was pleasant and prompt. I wish I could be more definitive, but some things were incredibly good and some just missed the mark completely. read more

I agree with another reviewer who said that this restaurant has a bit of an identity crisis. Personally I think they just need to fine-tune their menu and narrow their selection a bit, but as food options go in Fletcher, Blue Sky is a great one. I had the deluxe grilled cheese and it was good; my companion had the Jazzy Turkey Melt, which was good as well but had a bit too much of the flavored mayo on it. I do think the food is a BIT overpriced for the middle of nowhere, but again, it's still oen of the better options in the area. You order at a counter and the employees were friendly and our food delivered quickly; however, we arrived at 11:30 AM on a Tuesday and within ten or fifteen minutes the [presumably lunch ruse] line was out the door. This family run joint is worth the trip off the interstate for some relief from the construction traffic around Asheville. It is very blue inside, as the name implies, giving it a cheerful calm atmosphere. They also have a nice area for outside seating. Their house made Tuna Salad made with apples was fresh and delicious. I had the onion rings to balance my diet and they did not let me down. Drive the extra mile, it is worth it. read more

We stopped here on way home from Greenville to try it out. The environment was clean and neighborly and it had an interesting menu. It was early evening and not very crowded. You are asked to order up front and pay and as usual, we included a decent TIP (short for " to insure promptness "). Drinks were self service and you get you own silverware and napkins. We had ordered onion rings to share which were hot and enjoyable and that's where the good part ended. I ordered their version of a club sandwich and my wife ordered a taco grilled tofu salad. Then we waited....and waited. As we waited, we observed that it appeared they were much more focused on their take out orders than folks in the dining area. It seemed extremely disorganized wth all of the non-cook staff doing all activities including putting together takeout orders, answering phones, manning the takeout window, and occasionally taking food to patons. After about 1/2 hour wondering how long it takes to make a sandwich and a salad. I mentioned to my wife, I think what appeared to be our order was sitting at the kitchen prepared food window and had not been noticed for a while. My wife got the attention of the "waiter" possibly the proprietor/manager and inquired about our order. He got the food that I had observed and her taco salad appeared unappetizing with cold side cup of black beans and the salad mostly consisting of lettuce and cold toasted pita wedges. My sandwhich was however passable. The server offered a quick " sorry about that but ticket didn't come up" and then rushed off. ?????? WTF! Recommend that if you are driving north on route 25 in Fletcher feeling hungry, pass up Blue Sky Cafe as better places are a little farther up. read more

This is a little bit of a odd spot. You walk in and just go right up to the counter and order your food. So it has a little bit of a fast food feeling. You wait around for your food then go sit down. The seating is reduced for social distance reason but on the warmer days they have optional seating on their covered porch. Now the food is amazing! It's not fast food I promise. This place has the best burgers in town and its on the down low. The food is well priced, great portions and good service. They are also very quick for turnover. I had the pineapple burger and it was the perfect blend of sweet and kick. The pattymelt is delicious too. The sweet potato fries could have been crunchier but thats about it. Beware of this place wouldn't want anyone to get sick because this place,obviously they are false advertising. Not to mention the owner treating the customers just as rude as the staff did. Then, the owner proceeded to blame the customer on having to come out during a busy time to talk. Proceeded to say we have just stop the entire line of food from being cooked. This place is funky, in a good way, and I like it. Great menu, super child-friendly (there's a children's area that holds toys, crayons you can take back to your table), and accommodating service. I don't usually post reviews, but this was probably the best experience I've had from a restaurant! I pulled up to the drive through 7 minutes after they had closed (I didn't realize this until after I left). The gentleman greeted me nicely and took my order without one bit of attitude or reluctance since I came after store hours. While I was waiting for my food (which wasn't very long!) another employee saw me in the drive through, ran over to the window, and asked, "hello sir! Is anyone helping you?!" When I received the food, the first gentleman even asked me if I would like a free refill on my coke before I left! This will be the reason I will keep coming back. Loved this place! We were traveling on a long trip, with two dogs, and wanted somewhere we could stop for dinner with the dogs. They have a patio, with plastic windows and heaters (it was cool outside, but perfect in the patio), and they let us bring our dogs. The food was excellent - we both had the smoked chicken with cheese and barbecue sauce and a few sides. Everything was great. The service was also wonderful. All of the servers were friendly to us and our dogs. We will definitely stop here again when traveling through. read more

Blue sky cafe is the best restaurant in the fletcher area. They offer a healthy variety of sandwiches, wraps, salads, & burgers. I eat lunch there at least twice a week. I recommend the blackened chicken wrap with a side spring salad! Their house mustard vinaigrette, and raspberry vinaigrette are both great choices. However, make sure to check for your salad dressing on a take out order as they have forgotten a few times. Definitely check it out! read more

Long have I been looking for a nice go-to place down south, because I have family down there, and now I've got it. Having heard the recommendation of this place from several who live in Fletcher, we decided to do it one night, and it won't be the last time that we go. The menu is, quite honestly, way too big. There have got to be like 200 things on that menu. I think you'd be better served to just say "These are the things we have. Think up a combination of them, and we will do that for you." It would save paper. But after navigating the menu, I found the page of wraps (seriously, an entire page of wraps). I got some salmon wrap, my sister-in-law a chicken caesar, and both were delicious. Everything seems to come with fries. Delicious, perfect fries. We also ordered some wings for the table, and they were fantastic as well. Also came with those fries. They're either seriously proud of those fries (they have every right to be), or they just have a lot of extra potatoes in the back. Either way, they're awesome. read more

I had the Baja Burger. Very yummy. Everyone is very friendly here, and its close to the park, so there is that... I tired to dad's meal, wasn't impressed by it, but everything I've personally picked was superb. Onion rings are awesome. Keep up the good work guys. Edit: I did want to add in the fact that they did have a kids area, coloring books and such. A good idea, perhaps a bit noisy during dinner service.
