I liked the vibes here. They have interesting decor/art work that matched the atmosphere. There's a bunch of seating- bar seating, outdoor seating, and tables. I thought the service was excellent. The waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu and we were greeted upon arrival from the hostess. I got a few things off of the happy hour menu for lunch. The yellowtail Serrano was very salty. I think if it wasn't as salty it would've been a better dish. All of the other dishes just weren't for my palate but I think others may enjoy it.

Denisse was a PHENOMENAL server. Her attentiveness and ensuring we were taken care of was top tier. I also love how swiftly the food came out with such fresh ingredients. We had a plethora of menu options. We came in at 3:03 and were out by 3:40. The vibes were flowing, the service was amazing. I just truly love it here. Kudos to Denisse again for such an amazing dining experience. The Tidal wave has my heart. Lion King close second and Hotel Cali was good. I thought it would have had more of a kick with the jalapeño. However there wasn't a kick at all. Overall everything was phenomenal. The seaweed salad is by far my fav thing to order. The wontons were awesome as well. Just come in and allow your tastebuds to be the judge. We had a table full of delicious food and the bill was under $70 bucks. Well worth every penny.

Blue Sushi Sake Grill is one of the best restaurant in the MKT plaza! They serve clean, tasteful, and aesthetically sushi rolls that include unique ingredients. Additionally the food taste high quality and worth to try as much as possible. Ambiance is really clean, modern with a touch of luxury, and provides an uplifting friendly vibes. The service is very quick, attentive, and friendly. Highly recommend getting a reservation!

Came for lunch on Friday after a workout class with a friend! Service was great we were immediately sat and decided to sit on their outdoor patio because the weather was nice. I had the house salad, ceviche and lettuce wraps! The food is always phenomenal, from their rolls to starters you honestly can't go wrong

We love BLUE! It's our casual go to sushi spot and they have a phenomenal happy hour! No matter how busy they are we've never had to wait long for a table and their servers are always quick/helpful. We started with the Spicy Charred Edamame, Crispy Brussel Sprouts, Crispy Rice Cakes and Mango Crab Rangoons! We ordered the Cherry Bomb Nigiri which melted in your mouth! For the rolls we ordered an off the menu roll called the rodeo roll we love!!!! Along with Hotel Cali add cucumber in rice paper, Tidal Wave, Crunchy Red, Godzilla Bomb and the Crunchy LA! See y'all again soon!

Had a great birthday sushi lunch. The mochi flight was delish and tried the cowgirl pickle sushi which I was skeptical about but pleasantly surprised and will be getting again ! Happy hour is amazing. The service was so seamless and the food came out very fresh per usual. I love the vibe here always and have been a staple in my sushi recs to anyone.

I am in town and my friend suggested this place. Blue Sushi Sake Grill is a vibe. It is very chic and cute. The sushi tasted fresh and it was really good. Also ordered the chicken lettuce wraps and a whole lot of sushi. Our server was Trent and he was attentive. The hosts were kind and efficient. We came on a Sunday evening and there wasn't a wait. We sat on the patio. It was a beautiful day with ample areas to sit. The inside is too cute. They have plenty of booths and tables to sat at. Plus high tops as well as the sushi bar seating and the actual bar seating. It was a nice time. Apparently, it is dog friendly on the patio. There's plenty of parking as it is in a cute plaza.. Oh ALSO... Happy Hour Alllll Day on Sunday. Inexpensive food and drinks - for the win. However, they ran out of Aqua Panna water.

Came here for dinner to celebrate my friends birthday. I've heard so many good things about this place, yet I thought it was just OK. I ordered the rainbow roll and the tataki maki roll. I loved the tataki maki roll but I didn't care for the rainbow roll. Our server was amazing though. She checked up on us frequently and was so nice.

Blue Sushi Sake Grill was the perfect choice for our work Bite Club, and it absolutely delivered on both the food and the vibes. We came during happy hour, which is honestly the move, and immediately went all in on the ceviche. It was fresh, bright, and perfectly balanced! Exactly what you want to start the table. The spicy roasted edamame deserves a warning label because when they say spicy, they mean spicy, but in the best way. And the mango crab rangoons were dangerously good. If you know me, you know I don't discriminate when it comes to crab rangoons, and these did not disappoint. Despite being packed, the atmosphere still felt intimate with semi-private seating that made it easy to enjoy conversation without shouting across the table. The energy was lively, the service was smooth, and everyone left with full bellies and zero regrets. I'll include photos of the rolls we ordered, but I have to give a special shoutout to the salmon skin roll which was crispyish (I think I let it sit too long), flavorful, and easily one of my favorites of the day. Overall, Blue Sushi Sake Grill was a 10/10 Bite Club experience, and we're already talking about coming back for the next one.

What a great restaurant! We came here on a Saturday night and it was busy but we had a reservation and got seated promptly. The restaurant is very nice, has a neat bar area and feels very trendy. Our server was great, attentive and had great recommendations. We started off with cocktails and I tried the White Peach Daiquiri which had peach boba and it was delicious! We tried the following: -Charred Edamame -Mango Crab Rangoon -Cloud Nine 2.0 -Hotel Cali -Spicy Tako Everything was so good! I cannot wait to go back!

Overall good experience. I visited for their Happy Hour and the wait time was roughly 45 min for a seat. Was it worth the wait? I'd have to say no. The sushi rolls I ordered, weren't that great and the shishito peppers were extremely oily and charred. The waiter did a great job checking in to see if we needed anything and clearing empty plates. I also liked the decor and vibe of the place. All in all, it was decent, but I don't see me visiting again.

Happy hour was alright. We heard about their amazing happy hour deals and came on a Sunday where it was all day happy hour. Majority of the sushi options were very limited - salmon, tuna, and 50% of the sushi options were vegan rolls. The price adds up quickly even if you go two people. We paid around $50 per person including tip which is pretty much the same as eating full price sushi at a middle tier restaurant. Flavor wise - nothing was remarkable. Everything was drenched in sauce and leans on the salty side, including any rolls with sauce, crispy tuna, and yellow tail caparccio. The remainder of the rolls we got were, again, ok, but very basic and not memorable. Go for any other reason, but don't go expecting a "good deal."

Upon arrival, I was told that I could not sit at the sushi bar and eat. If I wanted to order I had to go sit in the common area of this dining hall. After this discussion, I said fine and asked for a menu. They then told me I had to get up and order at the register and view the menu glued to the counter. They took the order of a couple who sat down maybe 2 minutes before me in front of me. I will never come back to this place. They seem to be the last man standing in this dining hall, and with this kind of customer service, they won't last much longer. It's a shame because I love the food and I am a regular at handies and aiko as well. Won't be back to any of them.

The restaurant itself was pretty packed - there wasn't any parking (but they do have an overflow lot you can use). Inside the vibe was nice & upscale. It was surprisingly not intimate & was a little loud. The bathroom hallway was very cool (as the other reviews have said) I got the three course lunch w/ an added chutoro nigiri. The restaurant week lunch was fine, but the nigiri really stood out. I wish they would've had even just one nigiri on the restaurant week menu. The kombu salad was good & had nice flavor without being too overpowering. The hamachi crudo was awesome!! I'm a big crudo fan, but this one was above and beyond my expectations. All of the flavors played so well together & my yellowtail was so fresh and light and buttery. I loved the creaminess of the sauce & how it balanced the acidity of the tomatoes & onion so well. I savored every bite. Honestly the hand rolls left a lot to be desired. The kani hand role wasn't super great. The flavor was mid & the texture felt a bit off. I also thought sake hand roll was just ok.. My chutoro nigiri was also awesome. The cut was beautiful & the fish was super fresh and had an awesome texture. It just melted in my mouth. I'll definitely be back to try the lunch nigiri tasting menu. I'd recommend trying this place, just make sure to get the crudo or nigiri

GENERALIZED REVIEW:…read more Came here with a friend from theatre after a full run--he had this place recommended to him by another theatre friend, so we're just passing on the word. The plaza was a bit confusing to navigate, and I'm pretty sure if the place weren't full of Asian parents and their kids, it would've felt like the shadiest place ever because you have to enter from the back. Otherwise, the plaza had a lot of great-looking stores overall. My first go-to: I've loved drinking Kirin Light ever since I discovered it in Chicago. The flavor is literally so light, with a slight acidity that brightens up my meal. The sake here was frankly also delicious. I didn't order it, but my friend did, and they had it warmed. The flavor was soothing and subtle, almost like tea. It was exceptionally easy to drink, and the ocean-themed ceramicware was a beautiful touch. We ordered two rolls: the Shaggy Dog and the Truffalufagus (a fun tongue-twister). I personally chose the Truffalufagus (which is not fun to spell) because it seemed like the most unique dish on the menu, and I enjoyed it very much. What I liked most about it was that it was subtle yet impactful. I also loved the textures--from the internal crunch paired with the fresh jalapeño to the softness of the fish. I'm glad I gave this roll a shot, and I would be excited to try it again anytime. The Shaggy Dog was great, but it appealed less to my flavor profile. It was a little too rich and creamy for me. I recommended this place to my BF as a potential future date spot--I personally think he would like it... if he weren't the type to enjoy AYCE sushi so much. If they had more unique rolls, I would definitely come back just for those. I was tempted to order the Surf and Turf for this round, but I didn't want to seem like a glutton, hahaha.
