    YELLOWTAIL & SERRANO
    Brandy C.

Such a great happy hour experience! They offer food and drink specials from 3-6pm and $5 martinis on Thursday for most of the day. Most of the items I ordered came from the happy hour menu except for the San maki roll. The San roll and the raw oysters were my favorite. The Yellowtail & Serrano Crudo was also tasty! If you're joining for happy hour, be sure to either get there early or grab a reservation. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Pricing is only offered in the bar lounge and patio areas, both of which were pretty packed when I arrived.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Azumi is a must visit for happy hour!

Love azumi's happy hour!! My go to's are always the spicy tuna crispy rice and the shishito peppers, and as you can see, we ordered a LOT! Love the grilled oysters as well. We tried a few new things from their new happy hour menu, the spicy crunchy salmon roll and yellowtail crudo, and also opted to try the calamari this time. I really liked everything, and a lychee martini will never fail!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]My friend and I went to Azumi for happy hour on a Thursday, and overall it was a chill vibe especially if you are going for drinks.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They offer happy hour daily from 3-6 PM, and on Thursdays they have $2 martinis from 3 PM to close, which is honestly such a steal. We had the lychee martinis and they were SO good, easily the highlight of the night. I would absolutely go back just for those. [[HIGHLIGHT]]A small heads up: it does get crowded, so the earlier you arrive, the better.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] When we got there, they had actually run out of menus, so we borrowed one from our neighbor until they were able to bring us our own. It was not a huge deal, but definitely a sign that happy hour brings in a crowd. They also mentioned they were running behind at the bar. The happy hour menu is on the smaller side, but the portions are fair for the price. We tried the chicken gyoza, Brussels sprouts, chicken wings, crispy rice, and the crunchy salmon roll. Everything was solid and tasty. The Brussels a d Gyoza were like favorites! I would not recommend going during happy hour if you are starving and looking for a full dinner. [[HIGHLIGHT]]But if you want some bites, good energy, and great martinis with friends, Azumi is definitely a good choice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I don't know how I was sleeping on the HH here. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Definitely fills up on the patio- no reservations for HH so try to get there early.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They do a special in thursdays with the martinis which apparently gets real packed. Good deals and options on the hH menu- and of course you have to get the lychee martini! Ended up also getting the chefs nigiri 9piece from the regular menu which was still a decent deal. Every piece was absolutely delicious. I'll have to consider coming back for regular meaning but I'll definitely be back for another patio Hh!! Parking is free in the garage!

Ya know no. This place is located in highland Village and they share valet eith like 3 other restaurants. I dont like to use the valet service because they literally park your car im a dirt lot. Like what am I paying for?? We had a reservation for 7. It took 10 mins to seat us... our waitress was pleasant but lordddd was she slow. That was likely in part because they appeared under/short staffed. The food tasted great, when we could finally get it. I mean the service was slow as molasses! Don't come here hungry because there will beva wait. I enjoyed my sushi rolls and the spicy edamame was really good.

I just want to say WOW about azumi. We went here for happy hour on one of my last nights in Houston. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We were just so impressed with the service, the ambiance, and the quality of the food.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] For happy hour you're truly getting a bang for your buck with their food and drinks. We chose to enjoy their oysters (fresh and Rockefeller), nigiri, spicy tuna crispy rice, spicy tuna roll, and the flaming king crab roll. The best thing was the spicy tuna maki and the crispy rice! So flavorful and fresh! The king crab roll was the only underwhelming item... for the price I don't think it's worth it. For drinks I enjoyed a lychee martini which was delicious! My husband got some whiskey on the rocks but they put something carbonated in it and when he asked, they said that's how they do on the rocks so we're not sure what was going on. Overall our experience was very good and we will be back again!

My friends and I made reservations here and were seated after about a 5 min wait. The waiter was good about answering our questions and recommending options. The food was good. I had yellow tail, Brussel sprouts, and waygu fried rice. It tasted fresh and I would order it again. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The interior is on the darker side, "moody". Would make for a nice date night.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    Sticky CRISPY RICE AVOCADO

We came for happy hour on a Monday. Happy hours starts at three and usually it's pretty pretty packed so I would come early, especially on Thursdays where they have a two dollar lychee martinis. They're happy hour is not better at all and they have a few options to go off of this. Shrimp was amazing. The crispy rice with avocado was everything you wanted you do have a minimum of three to order. They're Leche martinis were good. It was. I wouldn't say it was the best but for the price it was great. You sit at the bar for happy hour, but it is an upscale place so I would dress accordingly. Parking is in the garage usually it's free or there's valet Unisex bathrooms

I've been hearing sooo much about Azumi's HH from 3-6, but specifically the $2 lychee martinis on Thursdays. I'm sooo happy I visited because it didn't disappoint. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance of the restaurant and patio is very inviting and warm.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We arrived at 5pm and it was an hour and a half wait so definitely be there before 3. We were still granted the HH for drinks but not food, which was odd. I ordered the drinks which has a max of 4 for the HH special. They are on point! For food, we ordered mainly starters such as the oysters trio (10/10), Brussels (8/10 because they're flaky vs cut in half), shishito peppers (10/10) and the yellowtail tuna roll (7/10 because it was too much avocado). I for sure for sure visit again very soon.

Came here for their happy hour and had a great time! We got there early around 2:45pm to ensure that we were able to get a spot, and the servers were so kind to seat us and let us wait for happy hour to start. We ordered the crispy tuna rice, the grilled oysters, the brussels sprouts, the crispy calamari, shisito peppers, hamachi maki roll, the chicken wings, and some lychee martinis. The crispy tuna rice was my favorite thing we tried. The tuna was super fresh, the rice was crispy, and I loved the flavor of the sauce. This is a must-get when you go. (8/10) The grilled oysters were just okay, they just tasted cheesy. Not bad for the price, but nothing special. (5/10) The brussels sprouts were also a miss for me. The flavor was good and they were well roasted, but there were barely any full brussels sprouts. It was mainly just the leaves. (5.5/10) The crispy calamari was not crispy sadly, and a bit bland. The sauce was a spicy mayo that helped the dish, but I would not get this again. (4/10) The hamachi maki roll was nice! The fish was fresh and I felt like it was very comparable to other hamachi rolls that I've had before. (7/10) The chicken wings had great flavor. My only complaint was they they were not crispy at all. The meat was tender though and overall a decent wing. (6/10) The lychee martinis were STRONG. I think it might be a bit stronger than I'd like, but the lychee flavor is there and for $2 you really can't beat it! (5.5/10) I loved the bright and lively ambiance here and can see why the happy hour can get filled up fast. I would recommend making a reservation beforehand or getting there right at 3pm when it starts to make sure you can get a spot. Also, there is a free parking garage in the plaza. Would recommend this place for those looking for a cheap and a cute spot to catch up with some friends!

Highly recommend this restaurant for lunch, dinner, or happy hour. Great service and nice environment! Calamari, chicken wings, and spicy tuna roll was all a hit. I'm still thinking about our food! Be sure to check out their happy hour specials.

    Facilities fee

Located on the westheimer facing side of the River Oaks District, the premium location is paired with a premium feeling experience. You can park in the garage if you're in the mood for a light walk before or after, but there is valet here too. The inside seating is spaced well enough apart as to not feel crowded, and there's a large traditional bar and a separate sushi(I'm sure there's an authentic name) bar to sit at as well. I appreciate the business being open for lunch and offering some lunch parings to get things flowing for newcomers. Our server was eloquent and knowledgeable about the menu, not overly chatty, but very polite. The menu had plenty of options, and balanced the act of having enough things to choose from while not overloading the amount of reading you'd need to do. Food was on the experimental side with the Crudo and cold prepared dishes. Pear foam on the scallop was interesting and tasty combination that I hadn't tried elsewhere. All the seafood was fresh and neatly prepared. Rolls were less exploratory in flavor combos I'd say, I didn't see the intention of trying to do something entirely new like with the tiraditos. Lots of hot entree type plates you can get into as well. My lone gripe was on the bill where a 3% facilities fee was added. Maybe there was a disclaimer on the menu that I missed, but this is Anti-Patron at the very least. What's the purpose here? This is on top of a meal for 3 that was $400+. Dishes can be priced appropriately or this should be removed.

Cute and quiet. I came in on a Friday and sat at the bar. And ordered off restaurant week menu! Which honestly it was really good and the price for it was amazing. Once I ordered my food I surely thought I'd still be hungry but I wasn't I was satisfied! And happy about the portions and taste. My bartender was nice and did everything she could to keep up with the tickets coming in for drinks. I ordered two drinks. The lychee martini was good but my other drink wasn't so good.. There's parking in front of the shops, a parking garage, valet and parking by the restaurant * which can fill up fast. They also validate parking but on that day it wasn't needed it just opened for me. Overall I'll be back to try more drinks and food

I eat, don't get a drink refill, and there's very little interaction or actual service after that. Then the receipt comes with the tip section circled, stars and smiley faces drawn on it, and "suggested tip" amounts starting at 18%. For minimal service, I personally don't think customers should feel pressured or guilted into tipping nearly 20%. Suggested tips are suggestions, not obligations. Customers should be able to decide what feels fair based on the level of service they actually received. The food was fine, but the aggressive tip expectation leaves a bad impression.

I can't not wait to come back to Katy to experience more of what Akiko has to offer. For some people it could be very overwhelming as you don't know where to start. Now for me...I was a little intimidated at first but after asking the waitress what she suggested...she steered me to a few rolls and items I should give a try. And I opted for a few items off their $7 menu of fatty salmon and tuna which both melted in your mouth. I was sad they didn't have ocean perch a single as I really wanted to try a new fish. I also, grabbed an order of spicy edamame as I have to have some veggies when I dine out. The roll I finally decided to get was I can't remember the name right now, but had all my favorites: salmon, tuna, and cream cheese. I also had nigiri yellowtail as I can't go eat sushi without having my yellowtail fix. I really wish I had (3) stomachs as I wanted to try a few more rolls. But after the Cabernet Sauvignon (3) glasses and the nigiri rolls I had I was too full to consume anything else. I can not wait to come back because it was so much more to partake and try that I know I will have to make at least 3-4 trips to go through the entire menu.

Upon entering the area, there's complimentary valet out front and a nearby parking garage that's in walking distance. The place has a nice, intimate ambiance. It was not crowded and perfect for a 2 person meet up. For a place like this with a signature menu, I went for the chef's choice combo and selection to try out fish that I usually don't try. The lunch special also comes with a miso soup, salad, and hand roll. Everything was fresh and really good. There was one fish that was buttery to taste. Loved it and wish I could remember the name. (madai may have been part of the name?) It was different than the usual yellowtail and salmon for me. Sea bream was also new to me and tasty too. The other surprise was the crab hand roll. It had this flavorful, crunch and the crab was fresh with a slight sweetness to it. That was a great rec by our waitress! Between my friend and I, we also ordered other items to share. The yellowtail crudo was refreshing and we especially love the eggplant nigiri. When it first got to the table, it reminded me of unagi (eel) but it wasn't. The pairing of the eggplant with the sweet, salty umami caramel sauce - so good! I could probably order like 10 of these. For a drink, I got their lychee mocktail. It tastes like lychee in a glass. If you don't lean towards sweet, don't get it. As for dessert, we tried the Japanese Musk Melon. It was like eating a cantaloupe, infused in its own juices. Each bite was so saturated in its own natural juice, that it was like eating the perfect, ripe cantaloupe. For us, it was a great ending to all the deliciousness - light, refreshing, and sweet. Highly recommend this place for lunch on a weekday. Ps.) I have visited this spot for dinner, but the experience was different. I had my kid with me. While the restaurant did accommodate to my child's needs and have child seats, I didn't get to enjoy the experience as much as this time so I'm glad to try Hatch again and really enjoy what they offer. Fyi for anyone who may be considering bringing kids. Also, there is no changing table in the restroom.

I arrived about 20 minutes before opening and had to wait outside in Houston's summer heat 93'F. While there are a few benches, there is very little shade, and guests are not allowed to wait inside. When the restaurant opened, there was no clear system for seating guests. Even though I was first in line, several people rushed in ahead of me, making the process feel disorganized. The biggest issue involved a $300 gift card that my friend had received years ago. She simply asked the staff to check the balance. When the server returned, he told us the manager had cut the card in half and that the entire balance had to be used during that visit. What bothered me was the lack of communication. We were never informed of the policy before the card was invalidated. If that is the restaurant's policy, it should be explained clearly beforehand. As two ladies having lunch, spending $300 was difficult, so we ended up ordering far more food than we normally would. The sashimi was fresh but cut thinly than what I've had at comparable restaurants. The hamachi kama, chirashi, and lobster mac and cheese were good. The green tea soufflé cheesecake was the biggest disappointment. For $10, it consisted of three very small cubes and felt overpriced. The waitstaff were attentive, friendly and professional, which helped salvage the experience. However, between the uncomfortable wait outside, the chaotic seating process, and the poor handling of the gift card, this visit did not live up to my previous experiences. While I have many good memories of Kata Robata, I'm not sure I'll be returning anytime soon.
