Ceviche* side of Togarashi in the blue bowl
    Patricia K.

First time trying anything raw and I have to admit, I'm super impressed with what I had, along with a few go-to rolls (Bīto Maki 2.0, Cowgirl, Crunchy Cabbage, Super Asparagus) & charred edamame. New to me: Tuna Tataki, Philadelphia (Raw), and Ceviche. All of these were absolutely delicious! For the ceviche, we opted to have the spicier togarashi on the side--I added a sprinkling to a bite--yum, but am glad it was on the side! Kyla was our server and she was great; she explained the menu and was knowledgeable about the foods on the menu. We were celebrating a birthday--I had made reservations via Open Table--it was nice they added a card from the staff for the birthday Mom! We went Monday during lunch and it was nice because it wasn't too crowded and we could carry on a conversation easily. Now I have new favorites--too bad the Tuna Tataki didn't have an even number... ;)

Wow!!! The place was busy on this early Friday night. We walked in and were told there's a 1.5-hour wait!! I spotted a couple of empty chairs in the bar area so we quickly grabbed those and ordered drinks. It was still happy hour so we ordered a couple of appetizers as well. The place was lively and packed with hungry guests like us. We kept ordering 2 items at a time so it was a little crazy to see a $200 bill in the end. Lol. It was all worth it. Our server was very attentive and wasn't fazed by the business of his area. I recommend the Cherry Bomb, Cloud Nine 2.0 and the Spanish Fly. Calamari was just okay. I took pictures but the lighting at the bar wasn't so great so all my photos are red, lol.

The food - Very well done. The sushi was very good; however, it was nothing fantastic. At the cost of a roll, it should be able to wow the audience. I love sushi, and places like this tend to increase the price while not giving any additional value. Which drives up the price of the dish across the area. Food gets 3.5 stars for being good but not great. Service - Oh, wow. We had the friendliest waiter... that knew nothing about sushi, the restaurant, cocktails, or how to use his handheld machine... which he forgot at our table not once... not twice... yep... three times. - maybe a 3-star on the high end? Ambiance - The place is not uncomfortable... and they do have some neat things on the walls. But there is no sound dampening in the building, and dinner time was pretty noisy. The comfy seats, though, still give a well-rounded atmosphere - so 4.25 stars for ambiance. Loss of most stars is to a bar that can't make a good Old Fashioned. If all else fails, look it up on YouTube. I'll wait, and you can get it right.

Went to Blue Sushi during Restaurant Week, which was a great deal and a fun way to try a variety of items from the menu. The cucumber (comber) appetizer was excellent--fresh, well-seasoned, and a great start to the meal. The sushi rolls were very delicious, with the Thriller roll being the standout and my personal favorite. Everything tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared. The ambience was great as well. Dessert was solid as well--we had the chocolate spring rolls, which were a nice, sweet way to end the meal. The only downsides were the drinks and service. The cocktails didn't taste like they had much liquor, and service was very slow--we had to ask for things multiple times before receiving them. That said, it was a busy weekend, so it was understandable. Overall, great food and a good Restaurant Week experience. I'd definitely come back, especially for the sushi.

Came in and sat at the bar. The bartender was attentive and nice. Got the mango tango hi g was good and tarte. The sushi roll I got was ok. Not a big fan of their sushi rice. It was a bit soggy. But overall I'd come back for their drinks

Fresh, delicious food, great service, and excellent vibe makes this place stand out every time. Be sure to book a table bc they get busy. Calamari was def good and the mochi was on point. We'll be back!

This is one of my favorite places for sushi! I come here often for their happy hour and the service and ambiance is always amazing! Good date night spot as well. My favorites are their tuna crispy rice appetizer and the crunchy blue roll. I've also tried the crunchy LA roll, the steak hot rock, & the truffle salmon & all of those options are also phenomenal. Also is a good/safe area, and there are lots of parking spaces in the lot so no need to worry about street parking :)

So delicious! We were able to get in quickly without a reservation (though I do recommend making one - we got lucky) and our server was very attentive. All our food came out promptly, everything tasted so good and fresh, and the rolls came out beautifully plated. This is definitely going to be added to my sushi restaurant rotation! Bonus - I really appreciated how the menu was separated into "Raw" and "Not Raw" for those patrons looking for one or the other without having to guess!

Popped into Blue Sushi for a Friday Happy Hour. Love that it goes until 6:30 and you can make a reservation! Service was great, as usual, and everything comes up when ready so it very fresh. Lots of great options on the HH menu which is also awesome. The place was busy but it's always a good vibe in a really cool setting.

The atmosphere was very modern and was busy for a Wednesday. We sat at the bar as they had a 45 min wait. Bar staff was friendly and provided excellent service. The menu had many fusion items along with traditional sushi favorites. I really enjoyed the coconut crab soup as I wanted something different. The fish was very fresh and tasted excellent and had a great texture. Tried some different rolls that I have not seen before wrapped in a BBQ soy paper and it was good. Will be back

Stopped in for my birthday dinner, we were able to get in and get a table right away. Staff was friendly and quick to take orders. The food was amazing. The crab Rangoon was some of the best I have had. It was filled with crab and lite on the cream cheese. I could sit and eat sushi all day long!!! Nothing that go brought to our table stood a chance. Their cocktail menu was also really good with a few NON-Alcoholic options as well. I am always excited to come here to eat!!

Blue Sushi Sake Grill will always hold a special place in our hearts -- it's where my husband and I reconnected, and also where he proposed to me during a surprise birthday dinner. Beyond the memories, the food is consistently amazing. The sushi is fresh and delicious, with so many great options to choose from. The service is always wonderful, and the atmosphere strikes that perfect balance of relaxing and inviting. Whether you're celebrating something special or just grabbing a casual meal, this is a spot that never disappoints!

Went here at the recommendation of a friend. Delicious sushi, try the lettuce wrap, and great customer service. Also the place is decked out in Godzilla artwork and other Japanese art. So cool.

It's located in a cool area in the middle of the plaza right underneath Chiefs Fit gym. As soon as you enter you get a feel for the great ambiance and fun variety of music. We came in during a cold snowy day and took full advantage of the FREE coat check at the front desk. On the first floor there's a mini golf course as well as a full bar and seating area. Once you go downstairs though, you'll see just how massive the place is. Theres TONS of seating and cool little nooks to hangout in which make it great for a date night or corporate events. Once you get into the mini golf there's some great courses to check out. Each one has a different theme and they make it super simple to track your points. Simply enter the names of all your players on the touch screen at the first hole, then enter the number of strokes afterwards. After that it will follow you throughout the course until you're finished and tell you who wins at the end! There's also a place to sit your drinks at the start of each hole with a menu of course specific cocktails that I highly recommend trying. Every part of this place is perfect to take pictures and have a great time. But in my opinion, the true highlight of the Puttery is the food. I had the pleasure of meeting the head chef while here and he truly puts his heart into the menu. Our server Mariah was also super helpful giving us drink and food recommendations throughout our time here. Everything sounded amazing but I had to go with the Cajun Chicken Philly since I'm a sucker for a Philly sandwich. It was one of my favorite sandwiches I've ever had. From the soft delicious bread to the unbelievably juicy and tender chicken, this was such a great dish. The combination of ingredients and the plating itself made it clear that nothing comes as an afterthought here. I also tried the loaded fries which were a great recent addition to the menu. Last, we finished it off by trying the Tiramisu, Raspberry Donut Cheesecake, and the Bourbon Bread Pudding. Each one was really amazing but my favorite was the Raspberry Donut Cheesecake, and I'm not even a huge cheesecake fan! I definitely plan to come back here just for the food because it was so delicious!! And on top of that, they recently started a meal prep service which I plan to take full advantage of! Overall you can tell that every detail is thought through at the Puttery. It truly feels like a luxury experience with an element of fun to round it out. The service is amazing and the food and drinks are to die for. If you're ever looking for a fun date night, a group outing, or even just a place for a solo dinner or drinks, you have to check this place out!

Nestled inside the ultra-luxurious Raphael Hotel, this upscale Restaurant/jazz club had our group feeling like we were heading to a high-society adult prom. The ambiance practically demands a raised eyebrow and a sophisticated toast. Naturally, the libations were flowing. On one end of the table sat a chocolate martini so decadent it looked borderline sinful. On the polar opposite end of the spectrum, I ordered an extra-dirty Chopin martini, complete with blue-cheese-stuffed olives. Look, it didn't reinvent the wheel, but it was executed exactly the way I'd make it at home--assuming I could ever actually find a bottle of Chopin in any of our local liquor establishments. (Seriously, who is hoarding it?) We kicked things off with the gourmet bread basket. Do yourself a favor and cough up the extra $5 for the super soft bread and whipped butter; your tastebuds will thank you for not being cheap. For my starter, I opted for the she-crab soup, which presented itself as a spectacularly rich crab bisque. Word on the street is that she-crab Is vastly superior to he-crab. This is a PG-rated review, so I shall leave the mechanics to your imagination. Then came the piece de résistance: the 12-ounce ribeye, flanked by asparagus spears and Delmonico potatoes. This sucker was thick. When I asked our waitress for a proper steak knife, she politely pointed to my standard-issue butter knife and confidently declared, "That's it!" I thought she was joking. She wasn't. Melt-in-your-mouth is an understatement; this medium-rare masterpiece yielded to a butter knife like it was soft brie. The sides were equally stellar. The Delmonico potatoes were a beautifully elevated, elite version of scalloped potatoes, and the asparagus was snappy, tender, and perfectly seasoned. The evening's only tragic misstep was the cheesecake. It, too, was incredibly thick--but in all the wrong ways. While fortunately not overbaked, the texture resembled a very well-flavored, highly gourmet paste. To add insult to injury, the graham cracker crust had completely surrendered its structural integrity, offering none of the classic crunch I crave. Minor dessert tragedy aside, it was a phenomenal evening. The service was impeccable, the vibe was unmatched, and that steak alone warrants a return visit. Next time, I'll just be exploring a different corner of the dessert menu.
