The drinks were amazing and refreshing; however, the male blonde bartender was pretentious and rude to three out of the five in my group. I asked my brother the next week how he liked it and he said he had the same bartender who almost makes him never want to go back. The menu is creative and the inside is great, but just a tip to not have that bartender to make your experience much better. read more

Delicious craft cocktails made with Bluebirds own liquors. They use only the best quality ingredients for their drinks, and have a wide selection of specialty drinks. Their bartenders are top notch and very friendly. Expect to have to wait for your drink - the drinks here are very intricate and take time to make, despite the bartenders' amazing abilities to multi task and make multiple drinks at once. It will be worth the wait. The atmosphere is cozy and they have outdoor seating. It's BYOF (bring your own food) and dog friendly. Lots of board games available to play and you are welcome to bring your own games as well. They also have 2 arcade games in the bar. Definitely my go to place to get drinks in Phoenixville and a place I recommend to all my friends! read more

Unfortunately I didn't get to taste any of them because, after 15 minutes waiting at the bar, no one had attended to us or even acknowledged our presence. Fantastic decor and atmosphere (leather seats, industrial vibe, incredibly neat sinks in the bathrooms) in a reclaimed laundromat. Their drinks (while a little pricey) are absolutely worth the cost. They change out seasonally with fresh, local ingredients and my gin snob friend loved their drinks so much he took a bottle home with him! read more

Incredibly rude nasty bartenders. We were in there last night before and after dinner with our friends and prob spent about 150.00 in there. The bartender became really nasty to my husband who was waiting quietly for our round of drinks because he didn't feel like making our drinks! No joke. Outright said his night was not going well because some people were waiting for him to make drinks. But in a really really nasty tone. We've been in there a few times and have money to spend and so do our friends but prob won't be back . Every time we've been in there the bartenders ( not the females) have the worst most condescending attitudes and are generally nasty. Too bad because they make good cocktails. If it's a shtick it doesn't work in this area. Get a clue. read more

Being a resident of Phoenixville, I have been to Bluebird a few times. I will never go back. This past weekend my friends and I received the worst service I have ever experienced. Despite the really uninterested and almost rude bartender we were hopeful this new spot would give us some great spirits. Sadly that was not the case. Clearly the distillers are short on experience and the gin they made was full of feints and fuel like taste. They try to cover up badly distilled spirits with alot of cocktail ingredients and flashy dancing around. Ok place to hang out unless you really want good spirits and know what you are tasting. The drinks were good however my whiskey sour consisted of half cocktail and half froth. For the $12 cost of the drink the liquor did not add up. The wait for a drink of 45 minutes at 7 pm on a Saturday night in August was just plain poor management. Being a bartender and working in the restaurant business, there should have been 4/5 bartenders and a bar-back/runner that makes drinks instead of standing around. I watched at the least 8 people walk out before even ordering. They truly need to restructure their staff. Maybe they can call Bar Rescue? read more

My husband and I have been patiently waiting for Bluebird to open, peeking in the windows like weirdos on a weekly basis. We finally got to check it out today! First of all, the place is beautiful inside. It's got a real masculine/cozy/industrial thing going on. Someone obviously put a lot of time into making it look amazing. Greg got the Blackberry Smash to start things off (so. good.) and then, it being Blobfest weekend and all, he felt like he had to try The Blob as well. It had a little blob of grape jelly in it! I got the Firebird.. and then I got another Firebird. Next time I go, I think I'm gonna try the Firebird. The bartenders were very friendly, knowledgeable, and excited about what they were doing. The atmosphere, decor, and noise level are all exceptional. This is quite possibly one of the nicest drinking establishments in Pennsylvania. The crowd is very nice, everyone is dressed well and friendly. As for the decor it reminds me of a refined Kentucky moon shine operation. There is a comfortable feel about the establishment and plenty of space for you and your friends to enjoy a drink - scratch that a spirit you and your friends can enjoy a spirit.., that will read much better than a drink.... Also the noise level is excellent and even when crowded it never reaches an unpleasant decibel. They selection of distilled alcohol is very diverse: Gin, Bourbon, Whiskey, Rum, and Vodka. I sampled the Gin because it's the only hard liquor I drink... I found it to be course and it didn't leave a good aftertaste. I generally only drink Hendrick's or the local Philly Gin favorite Blue Coat. While the Gin wasn't bad it wasn't what I was used to..., with that written their product is on par with Beefeaters or Bombay. While there I had one drink: "Lucid" and it was excellent! The bartender did an excellent job and I was very satisfied with the end product. Please note there is no table service and all drinks must be ordered from the bar. Overall I enjoyed everything about this place and I will definitely return! read more

We've been to wineries, we've been to breweries, but how often do us Northeasterners get to go to a distillery out in the burbs? They distill their own spirits, and since its a very new business, none of them are aged (yet, much is aging in barrels surrounding the tables). This is what sets it apart though - taking young spirits and making them taste good in a cocktail requires skill and the cocktails here are certainly among the most unique ones I've ever had. I've had a gin drink with muddled tarragon and absinthe thats lit with a match, and an old fashioned made with orange flavored bitters and brown sugar. Everybody I've taken here has become a convert - my favorite is when somebody says "I don't like gin" and the bartender just says "try this", makes them a cocktail and converts them to being a gin drinker. Definitely worth stopping in when out in Phoenixville. The only drawback is that drinks could take 20 minutes on average due to limited bartenders and a growing fanbase, but I have found that not be a major deterrent. No kitchen, but fear not, you can bring your own food. read more

I have tried SO hard to like this place. Honestly, the drinks are great, but the service is TERRIBLE. Not a single person that I've encountered has been nice in all the years ive come. I read the website which says they're "made up of fun, passionate people" and that's hilarious because they are the least fun people I've ever met. They act like they are better than everyone, and I'm pretty sure that's a terrible quality whether you're a bartender or not. When you're included in a bar crawl, don't just assume people are drunk. I was told to drink water and that I was "slurring my words" all because I asked for any drink made with vodka. I actually paid and gave my drink to the person behind me so I could leave because after years of trying to like this place I really just can't stand supporting mean people. To the bartenders, I really hope you all find some joy in your lives; for real, it's sad how miserable you all are. read more

Went with a group of friends, and mostly loved it. Nice ambiance, great drinks. Just have to warn you - stand safely back from the bar - I got sprayed in my eye by habanero. I went into Bluebird twice and unfortunately had the same bartender both times. I am not a picky person, love whiskey, and love supporting local businesses, but this bartender is unbearable. Direct quotes from him: "why don't we have big ice cubes?! This is a $2,000 ice machine. Look at these cubes, they are perfectly clear. You won't see that places." "We had the mixologist expert from Bar Rescue help design our drink list, so yeah, I think we'll be alright." And when asked when the aged whiskey would be coming out; "well generally aged whiskey needs to be aged... It's ridiculous people keep asking for that already."
