    Whiskey and rye flight

Well, we had been wanting to try this place for some time. I'm happy to say the wait was well worth it. The place is small but very nice inside and out, not so much elegant but chic. It's in an old barn with stone walls and huge overhead beams. The bar seconds as a table to eat and there is a mix of tables throughout two rooms, some high tops and some regular tables. A few very nice slab tables as well. They had a 2-piece duo playing some soft contemporary music so we didn't have to shout to speak to one another which was a bonus. All of the staff we encountered were super friendly and attentive. Our server was a very nice young lady and we also encountered a young man who was the food and drink runner. They seemed to work well together, and we had the opportunity to meet Cheryl who manages the bistro. She obviously is the reason the place is so well run. We had the edamame and as others have noted it is terrific. My wife had the veggie burger which she enjoyed, and I had probably the best burger I've ever had. Hard to imagine raving over a "burger" but somehow they made it to perfection. The wine selection is well - sparse - one white and one red but it is a distillery. The wine pour was generous. I had a flight which included 3 whiskeys and 2 ryes. Just the right volume of each so you could enjoy it. Of the 5 selections I enjoyed 4 of them, the fifth a bit too sweet for me. If you have the chance to visit this establishment, I hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

A great place to stop for a quick lunch and a drink. The burger is amazing and the drinks are delicious! Had a smoked old fashioned and the burger. The drink was perfect, the burger was cooked perfectly and the atmosphere was awesome.

First off this place is super cute. We were visiting Pennsylvania last week and we wanted to try something local to the area. We came upon this place and thought the outside was super cute. Wish I had taken a photo but others have posted pictures of the outside. So everything on the inside was wooden. It was as if we stepped back in time. I loved it. They asked us what we wanted to drink. They didn't have soda so I got a lemonade and my husband got water. We got their edamame for an appetizer they were the best I've ever had. I wish I would have taken a photo but we gobbled them up so quickly. My husband had the bistro burger and he said it was the best he's had and I had the sauerbraten. It looks like they may have used precut sliced meat for it. I would give it a 6 in taste and texture. The potatoes were delicious. If I went back to the area I would go back again and try something different. But next time we may have to order our own edamames.

Great food. All local. Kind and efficient servers. Not cheap ( thank goodness or it would be mobbed) but you get what you pay for. A regular stop after golf. Always perfect

We were hiking at Warwick Park and wanted to grab a bite. I saw this place on Yelp and it was a great find. It was a beautiful day and they sat us quickly at a table outside. Our server came by with a menu of drinks and food. They have delicious crafted cocktails in plastic bags kind of different but with covid seemed safe and disposable. The drinks seem pricey but they are big and so worth it. They had a limited menu but I don't mind that if what they make is good. One of us had the pork chops with apple chutney, carrots and potatoes. Everything was seasoned nicely. My husband had the burger and said it was good. Between the atmosphere, food and cocktails it was a very pleasant experience and I will definitely be back.

First outdoor drink experience post COVID. Had an amazing time trying their amazing disposable to go cocktail. It was perfectly delicious. We also ordered different dishes. There was live music when a lot more people arrived. I feel slightly awkward/out of place being the only Asian in that area of PA but overall great experience.

Hubby and I had such a nice afternoon sitting outside, sipping our (very) potent and very delicious, "To-Go" cocktails. I had a salad and hubby had the burger. Inside is closed so we hope to go back to check out the full menu once we finally do away with this horrible virus. Very nice crew and we will tell everyone we know about the wonderful food and drinks. Thank you! Kim and Ed Downingtown

Here's a picture from a cocktail I made with their equinox this summer that reminds me of the warmer weather :)

I enjoyed the vibe of the old barn rehab. Great little place to have a meal and do some whiskey and gin tasting.

The appetizers were well worth the price and were served pretty quickly! I had the Ahi Tuna Nachos and my husband had the Kung Pao Brussel Sprouts. Both were delicious and the right amount for a heavy appetizer for a Sunday afternoon! To top it off, we also had some drink specials that included the Frosted Strawberry and draft Blue Moon. We topped off the afternoon with the recommended pineapple upside down cake and didn't turn back. It was decadent and the prefect size for two. The staff was pleasant, but I felt should have been more attentive for a sparse bar. The restaurant was unique in design and trendy, and had a nice flow of customers for a Sunday afternoon. All in all, would do again for the happy hour specials! Quality of food: 5/5 Service: 3.5/5 Overall cost and experience: 4.5/5

My wife got the same Chicken Salad sandwich again, it's still a winner, seafood chowder was satisfactory to good according to her, she took the balance back to our hotel & she had it in the morning as she had a early morning meeting & we had a microwave, she changed her opinion to great , saying it tasted even better in the morning I guess from it being dehydrated. Pretzel was great, I had a chicken pot pie which I though was ok, it was basically a chicken stew served with a puff pastry in there instead of the stew in a puff pastry, It tasted clean & light lacking body so I ordered a side of lime rice which worked for me. The star of this place is really their custom brews, I thigh think the food here is 4to 4 1/2 star but their brews make it a 5 star restaurant. Their birch beer & bourbon ginger are perfectly balanced flavor & refreshing & I also bought a bottle of their express Old Fashion to take home, 10/10 satisfaction. Even in you are not a alcohol consumer, the Location, atmosphere & quality of service coupled with good , clean food makes this a great restaurant. A definite must visit in Hershey.

My most memorable drink of the night was ironically my last one, Forbidden Knowledge. It's unusual to say the least, and most people might hate the lovecraftian ingredients, but I enjoy trying something that looks like there's a story behind it. One of my favorite game series is Elder Scrolls, and this drink just screamed Hermaeus Mora and the dark library within the Wretched Abyss. I didn't have high hopes for the taste, but surprisingly, it suited my palette. Sweet, a little bitter, with a tart bite and sharp herbal kick to the senses. Chatted with the amazing bartender who concocted the drinks that night, and he told me that some of them, like this one, came to him in a dream. He showed us the prep work it took to keep the ingredients fresh and ready for mixing. Gotta appreciate the creative energy and effort it takes to designing culinary experiences like this, so hats off to the staff here. They were so open and made us feel very welcome! Thank you, and I can't wait to visit again when I'm back in town :)

We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon to sample the wares. For the most part we were the only ones there - so we had the opportunity to have a long conversation with the owner: about him, his products, and what i can only describe as "passion" for crafting spirits. In fact, passion may be too weak a word... We ordered a fiight of 8 spirits - 5 whiskies, 2 gins, and a rum. Usually I consider myself lucky if I get one or 2 acceptable ones (my batting average on local distillers is not good lol). Springhouse is the exception to the rule. Each was good and unique in its own way - the gins were more in the Genever style - barrel rested, smoother and while the juniper was there , it was in the background. The rum was a winner as well. That said, the whiskies were my favorite - each with a distinct flavor profile. Of course I had to bring something home! Opted for their top of the line bottle: an American single (barely) malt that just screamed "have me with a big cube and a cigar" (i did later lol). At $70 a bottle its not an everyday pour - but it was firmly in the "upper category" of a craft spirit. Oh - and did i mention they serve craft cocktails? My wife loved the espresso-Carmel oriented one. The intersection between skill and passion can produce a product that punches above its weight. While we were not there for the food, we will make another trip to give it a try. its worth the drive. Trust me.
