I love the staff here they are so kind and friendly. Usually I do takeout, never have they gotten my or my boyfriend's order wrong and it is extremely quick, once you order you can go pick it up within 10-15 minutes. The times I've dinned inside have been nice, staff is friendly and has great recommendations! I LOVE the ginger salad, the sushi is pretty good, and the mongolian beef is amazing!! I've been living in Gainesville for 2 years and have come here at least twice a month since moving, will be sad to move and no longer come here :( Honestly I would probably make the longer drive just to go here again!! The sauce was also wonderful and not just red sugar! *Gyoza (fried) It came out wonderfully crispy and delicious. *Sashimi Dinner Came with a nice selection of sashimi cuts, which all had wonderful flavor. The fish was so nice it didn't even need soy sauce. Also came with a side salad and miso. The salad came with a wonderful ginger dressing I was told is made in house. The dressing had great texture which I've not really seen before and the flavor was also lovely. The miso also was one of the stars of the show tonight as well. It had what tasted like smoked bonito flakes, and I haven't had miso with such nice flavor in a restaurant ever. This meal also came with a standard Cali roll which was just as good as ever. Simple but well delivered. Sushi Rolls: *Crazy Crab Roll The crab salad on top was super flavorful! Loved this one. *Caterpillar Roll Also great taste and texture was lovely! The avocado also was perfectly ripe. *Fantasy The cuts of fish on the top were slightly charred and tasted lovely. *Spicy Tuna Spicy tuna mix wasn't packed full of Mayo. And had just enough of a spice for great flavor. *Crunchy Spicy Tuna Also for my birthday, they brought out a slice of cheese cake and lit a candle for me. It was so very sweet. Staying in Dahlonega and we ventured out to a little bigger area for dinner. The service was great. Everything's clean. Tons of sushi and it was all great. Tom Kha and Ckn soup were awesome. Kids got sides of noodles. Chef prepared an avocado roll w no rice for my daughter and my son ate the spring rolls. Dad got the scallop and filet w fried rice. All amazing. For dinner I ordered steak, shrimp and scallops. The scallops cut like butter! Everything was fresh, hot and tasty. I also ordered a California roll and Shrimp Tempura roll. They were so good! The sauces I got were tasty as well. My waitress Emily was on point! Very helpful since it was my first time. I will be back again. I highly recommend eating here. I got their rainbow roll and salmon sashimi. Rolls are on the smaller side in comparison to the sushi places I typically enjoy, but the taste was good and I love the salmon sashimi. Ordered the Ninja Hibachi, I was eating and bit into a piece of chicken that came with it and it was wet, cold and slimy on the inside. NOT the consistency you want to feel in your mouth while eating chicken. Management came over and had a snotty attitude and said "well I don't know how. It's cooked at x amount of degrees" then walked off. I'm a long time customer of Blue Fin both in Gainesville and Rome Georgia. I've probably spent thousands at both of these restaurants, for this to be brushed off and made to feel as if I lied is NOT okay. Definitely will not be back. My first Time to bluefin on the north side of Gainesville because I live in Buford so I met some friends here to grab some sushi and get to see each other. More of a Chinese hibachi type of place we got a table and ordered some drinks while we looked at the menu. Pretty busy place, workers were practicing safe protocols, place was clean and welcoming. I'm a big sushi Guy it's just so still trying to get used to not sitting at the sushi bar where I can see the fish before I choose so try to make sense of the menu and get me some sashimi and one roll. We ended up getting about seven rolls in total including my sashimi plate - 5 pieces - So we had plenty of food. We talked and had a few drinks the food was quite good and under the protocols currently in place we had an enjoyable evening. Ordering hibachi at a table for four is also a good idea as you don't need to see the show and the food actually comes out quicker and is really tasty! With new options moving forward restaurants are having to accommodate social distancing which may stay in place forever so get out enjoy and get used to the new protocols. Lisa was our server tonight she was great! Kudos for keeping the restaurant open during the pandemic and be sure to tip your servers well! Remember 20% it is what is the norm as servers only make two dollars an hour and for them to make eight to $10 an hour in comparison they need 20% just to make a decent income. If you order to go tip the same. On any order to go or in the house if the service and food are spectacular and your evening was great 30% is the new 20%. Just a "tip"! I saw a table leave two dollars on a $40 tab so why I bring it up. And all you teenagers who got mom and dad's credit card please do the same. If the bill is $40 leave an eight dollar tip. Worst "hibachi" I've ever tasted. It wasn't cooked in front of us and wasn't fresh. Ordered filet and chicken and there's no way that was filet mignon. Everything tasted bad and the same-covered in bad oil. To make matters worse bill was $70 without tip. Tipped the waitress well. It wasn't her fault. read more

Absolutely delicious food and great service! All the employees were wearing masks and hand sanitizer was available at the front door. They followed the social distancing guidelines and sat us 6 ft away from the other customers. The restaurant and bathrooms were very clean. Our server was very attentive. We ordered the Hibachi Dinner (Filet mignon, shrimp, and teriyaki chicken) with fried rice and salad (with ginger dressing that was splendid). The serving size was big enough to share between two people. We also ordered the Alaskan Roll and Tom Kha Soup (very flavorful). Everything was very fresh and delicious. The Yumm Yumm sauce definitely lives up to it's name! Very yummy and was brought to the table in its own container so you can serve yourself as much as you'd like. Since the Corona Virus, there are limited options available but not here at Bluefin! A great place for good, quality sushi. From the minute you walk in you're greeted by everyone there. Everyone is so nice and accommodating. Even the owner came by to check on us a couple of times. We even saw him in the back helping to roll sushi too. It's not often you see the owner in the kitchen. The food comes out quick even while they had a full restaurant.
