A smaller location but cozy and accommodating. Agatha has been my SA lately and she's lovely. Champagne or sparkling water has been offered while I shop and make decisions. They are very gracious about pets and children in the store. But I only bring my daughter because she is well-behaved and respectful. The store is almost always busy and the associates are working hard to accommodate everyone's shopping needs. They are not babysitters. Pay attention to your children if you bring them here. It's frustrating to see pretentious adults treating the staff like nannies while they shop. All that being said, they are a gracious staff. Everything I've come in to buy has been in stock. Naturally, there is security at the door. Appointments can be made if you'd prefer a more dedicated experience with your SA. Hot stamping is a service offered for customizations. There is not a Palo Alto city-specific stamp, if you're wondering. read more

I checked online to see if the bag I wanted was in stock at the store before coming in. Yesterday I came in and staff didn't greet us until I looked around. I asked for the specific bag and tried it on. I also tried a couple bags but ultimately liked the multipass monogram more. When I said I'll take it staff then informed me that the display is the only one they have in stock. I told her the display has wear on it and it's peeling. The staff said no it's just glue and the bag is fine. She tries to push me to buy the display bag when it's clearly has fault. I do not want to buy a faulty bag even if it's just glue for the price point I expected better quality. Seems like the staff want to rush for closing. Won't be coming back. This is, hands down, my favorite Louis Vuitton store to visit!! Each and every visit is thoroughly enjoyed & this most recent trip was no different. After a very quick, in and out, trip to the Valley Fair LV due to the shrunken store [because of renovations] and the lack of variety when it came down to offerings on display, I made the decision to make the drive to Stanford. This store is open, clean, and the handbag displays are simple yet so pretty!!! Per usual, patrons entering are immediately greeted. I didn't expect to make an immediate purchase since I was contemplating between 2 different handbags- I was simply hoping for an in-person visual before making my decision. Our party made a quick walk through before stopping in awe at the On My Side. In comes Johnny... This was my first time at the Palo Alto store and the service was second to none from beginning to end. I spent a significant amount of time browsing and did not feel pressured to purchase. Bummer customer service. Walked in to look at a bag for work (and was fully prepared to drop the $4k) only to be stopped when I walked in and told I would need to wait for a sales associate. I get that this became the model during the pandemic, but now that we're past that, these luxury stores need to give it up. I bought a Speedy at the LV SoHo location last month and, guess what? I was allowed to freely browse without being tailed by a sales associate. And I *gasp* bought something because the buying experience didn't feel icky. I've had other times in this store where there was so much pressure to purchase so I don't know why I'm even writing a review. This has never been a great location. I was told I could bring in my bag to return on the last day it was allowed to be returned and I have only tried on the purse never wore it out etc and they claimed it had hair like ok?? It might of just fallen from my head and went into the purse there was nothing else wrong with it so ANDY said it was ok they will ship it and he would text me and email me with an update and he never did I had to call the store and I was told just to track it and then I find out that they rejected my return saying there was hair, dirt and sand and was ripping at the seams which was all lies Andy never once told me that once they receive the purse there was a chance they would return it back to me and customer service was no help. I had the worst customer service experience at Louis Vuitton Palo Alto. I went in to return a bag I purchased at the London Heathrow location. My receipt clearly stated I had 60 days to return it for a full refund if unused, yet the staff and manager refused to honor it. From the moment I arrived, the manager was dismissive and aggressive, offering no assistance. When I showed my receipt, I was met with indifference and told they couldn't help. Instead of providing any level of customer service and trying to find a solution, they simply shut me down and handed me a card for client services (shouldn't they be making that call and trying to find a solution?) After calling Louis Vuitton Client Services, I was informed that the return could have been processed--it was entirely up to the store's discretion. I was also initially told they couldn't ship returns internationally, only to later find out that was also false. It's unacceptable for a brand of this caliber to treat customers with such hostility and misinformation. A luxury brand should have leadership that embodies respect and professionalism - not arrogance. I will not be returning to this location or purchasing anything else from Louis Vuitton. read more

The store is pretty small compared to it's other locations. They have a "door greeter" ? He stands there and stares at you but doesn't say anything. He actually creates a negative and awkward environment- he should at least smile and greet incoming visitors. He also follows people around quietly which is also awkward. Client advisor, miss Perkins was the saving grace to the experience, I came here to purchase fragrances since you cannot buy them anywhere else. She was very helpful and sweet and gave me some samples to take home. She gave me her card and advised to reach out to her if any questions or issues arise with my purchase. I definitely do not frequent luxury stores but if I need to get a refill on my fragrance I may go to a different location. read more

I visited the store today and was super excited to see a piece I've had on my wishlist, it was my first time seeing it in person, so I naturally wanted to take my time to try it on. Unfortunately, the experience was completely overshadowed by the sales associate's attitude. She was noticeably passive and made a dismissive, rude comment while I was trying on the bag, then told me to call her when I was "ready to purchase." I was so taken aback that I left without getting her name. As a long-time Louis Vuitton client, I've always appreciated the elevated service and experience that comes with purchasing their products, but this interaction fell far short of that standard. It was my first time visiting this location. There is a line but it was closer to my turn. An employee introduced himself and he was so friendly. I asked to browse first before picking a bag and he let us browse and assisted us from time to time. Turns out my boyfriend's mom knew what she wanted after all. Unfortunately they have the bag but not the size she wanted. The employee told us which location has it and we left. I like how this location is not as busy and that employee was helpful although we didn't buy a bag from this location. Wish they have more stock though. I purchased a fanny pack from the Louis Vuitton store in Palo Alto Stanford and put some stuff in there to gauge if it was too small or not and it was too small because my phone wouldn't fit in there so I decided not to use it and I ordered a larger fanny pack and waited for it to come in. Then I returned the first one. When I returned it, the sales person opened the box and asked me if I had used it and I said yes I had stuck the things in there that I would normally put in there and it didn't fit correctly so I decided to order a larger one and returned it. She said that it couldn't be returned because it was used and it wasn't in original condition. The thing was is it was in original condition there was lint inside of the bag which they claim was from me I have no idea that was from me or not, but I did state that I had stuck stuff in there to try it out. Not sure why that is a crime to put your stuff in it to determine whether it's gonna work for you or not. It's not like shoes and I didn't walk around in them and then decide to return them. It is a $2000 fanny pack and she treated me like a Criminal and said no I cannot return this in the state that it's in. There was no State it wasn't ripped. It wasn't worn nothing. It had lint inside the bag and they claimed that they couldn't resell it that way. She told me that they could return it to the online version of the store, but they would never have sold a bag like that. I told her that the sales person had opened it looked at it, and I looked at it, but I never would've noticed Lindt in a bag cause that wouldn't have been abnormal to me. Especially when the bag that it goes into is an off-white color with lint on it. I decided to just keep the bag because I don't like this kind of confrontation and don't wanna deal with it, but I will never buy a Louis Vuitton bag ever again thanks too. I was here the day before Thanksgiving and loved the store! I do about 80% of my shopping online so I have to say it was nice going into the store. The store was very clean, the girl hosting the check ins at the front door was super nice. I bought 2 keychain wallets and one card holder. I was assisted my Cisco and he is super awesome! Down to earth, not overly uppety like some high end support I've had before. He rocks! I also was walking around when Cisco went to the back to package my items; no one bothered me which was nice. I sometimes find stores like Gucci or Prada watching everyone like a hawk to the point it's just awkward to see what else the store has to offer. read more

Well.... not sure why I'm even going to bother writing this as it is pretty evident from several of the previous reviews that the staff at this location will definitely judge you by appearance, but I'm bored right now so here goes. My cousin gave me a Louis Vuitton wallet as a gift while we were all vacationing together.... those of you who know me are probably laughing already, considering I really can not stand this brand at all. My choices were to park it in the closet with the mounds of other gifts that I will never use, or exchange it for something that I might break out on a rare occasion. So, brand new wallet in the original box with a gift receipt from the Louis Vuitton store.... what could go wrong? Walked in and got a very reluctant offer for help from a younger white guy (maybe he had reddish hair and a beard, I was still so jet lagged that everything was kind of a blur). So this guy looks at the wallet and tells me to go ahead and shop around. I find a little pocket organizer that wasn't obnoxiously littered with LV and figured I'd maybe use it every once in a while. Then the associate comes back and says that the wallet looks used and they won't exchange it for me. What??? Literally a brand new wallet that came out of the box once when I received it to look at it, purchased two days before it was gifted to me from an LV store. It's still all sinking in. I always try to avoid thinking the worst (that maybe being a big brown guy had something to do with it), but it was pretty sketch. Next day my wife (who is NOT brown) took the wallet to the San Jose store and exchanged it without any problems. Hmm..... I wonder? Anyways, it really isn't a big deal as I never would have, nor ever will go to this store again. For the majority of people in this area, shopping here is probably a great experience..... finding that perfect bag to go with those lululemon yoga pants. Excellent customer service! The only reason why I docked down a star is because they don't really have everything in stock. The selection here is quite small, but you can't really blame them because this isn't a flagship store. However, they can try their best to order it for you! I ordered a Neverfull MM bag yesterday, and the client advisor, Claudia was really kind. The estimate for my bag ready for pick up was at least 4 days. But this morning, I woke up with an email to see that my bag was already ready for pick up within less than 24 hours!! Today I came in and the client advisor, Marlene, was so awesome--I absolutely loved her personality and how down-to-earth she was. She let me take my time and showed me all the cool features about my bag. Super patient, no rush at all. She even threw in a few free perfume samples for me! My experience at this Louis Vuitton could not have been any better. Thank you so much for the excellent service! Tip: make sure you come in at a good time because there can be a line out the door. She gets 5 stars from me for making sure I'm happy with my purchases and always offering her assistance in placing orders for items that are not available in store. She is also quick to recommend different products to me, though her style is more classic whereas I prefer more of the limited edition seasonal pieces. (Btw it's easier to find the more classic items in store vs. the ones from the special collections.) A little more of a sales push, but she never gives attitude if you decide not to purchase her suggested items. Still not quite 5 stars for this store though. I wanted to exchange my sneakers for another size but the manager would not accept my shoes because according to him they had been worn. I had only worn them though on the rug in their store to try them on for size. Maybe they should clean their rug more regularly lol. However, I understand store policy; I just wish he could have shown more sympathy to my situation instead of making me feel like I had done something wrong when I hadn't. I will always come to this location over Valley Fair. The sales associates here are so attentive. There's always someone to greet me when I walk in, and I never have to wait to be helped. I came in a while ago to buy a gift for my bf and the SA helping me was very patient and quick to give recommendations as he pulled out various wallets and cardholders for me to look at. Cisco is such a pleasure to talk with and he was determined to help me find a bag to my liking. The only thing, which isn't the store's fault, is the frustration of the bag shortage and how difficult it's been for me lately to find the styles that I want. They are sold out everywhere in the Bay! Almost every time I come here, I leave empty-handed and also feeling bad for my SA because they always take good care of me when I'm here. read more

The sandals were quite a bit too big for her so we looked at stores to see which ones had her size and this location had them. We drove to the location, the greeter in the front assisted us and we informed him that we wanted to exchange the item for a smaller size. We waited a few minutes until a client advisor came to help us. We were looking around the store, then Evelyn came to assist us, for the record, she has GREAT customer service!!! Wow! I came in looking like a straight bum and yet she treated me and my girlfriend with great customer service and was super helpful and respectful! She didn't give us any small talk or treat us differently because of the way we looked, on the contrary she was making sure we were good and asked us a bunch questions to make sure our needs were met. There's been occasions where I'm treated differently because of the way I'm dressed and ethnicity, but here I was surprised because it was the opposite! That's why I'm satisfied with Evelyn's customer service and will definitely return back to this location and make sure I make my future purchases through her. Back to the subject, we told her that my girlfriend didn't fit into the slides and wanted to exchange the item, my girlfriend ended up wanting the LV Sunset Comfort Flat Sandal, so she got us the size needed, tried them, and ended up with the upgrade. I wouldn't recommend this location unless you're desperate for an item that you are unable to find at other locations. 2/2 times that I visited this LV due to convenience, and received no assistance when I walked in. There were client advisors standing around, eyes glued to their phones, avoiding eye contact with the door. Even when I flagged someone down to show me a couple pieces, they seemed disinterested and ready to have me out of the store - no change in attitude either when I made a purchase and both visits were on weekdays when there was barely foot traffic. 2 stars is being generous, but they do have popular pieces in stock here that I usually cannot find at other locations. They probably have more stock due to their lack of customer service, which is a shame as they are in such a prime area! read more

There were at least two sales associates available, both on their phone looking down. I continued to walk around the store looking around, and no one assisted me. I finally approached an associate and asked if any of the bandoulière straps were in stock, and he said they didn't sell shoulder straps in the store. I then began explaining that I called customer service and they said that their store had limited availability. The associate had to ask someone else if they carried shoulder straps, to which she responded yes. The associate did apologize to me by saying that he was "new." I would think that the associates would be more attentive to potential buying customers...I wonder if it's the way I was dressed that made them not approach me (I was wearing leggings, t-shirt, and new balances). I did end up buying the strap to put on my Pochette Métis because I wanted it ASAP. From now on I am only buying my LV items online. read more

Came in on a relatively busy weekend, but wait was not bad at 5 minutes. The greeters we're very welcoming and informative as they noted there might be up to a 10 min wait for an associate. A little under 10 minutes somebody came to us and did "help." I use that term loosely because they did respond to my wife's request for a particular piece but when they didn't have that there was no bother to try and showcase or display other items which may be of interest. While disappointing, In hindsight this makes it quite easy to decide where to and where not to spend money. Wouldn't necessarily blame Louis or this store as others have had good experiences, but shouldnt an associate know to offer the same level of quality service to everyone, especially considering you're selling a luxury good? read more
