Our server was extremely knowledgeable about the entire menu, was super laid back, and always there when we needed something. Recommend the Bloody Mary, which comes with a small Miller Lite and all the fixings. I opted for the bowl of rejuvenation for breakfast. The bowl was dialed up on the healthiness and down on the flavor - could've used more than a tiny cube of feta and a bit more sauce to tie it all together. My family got big chunky servings of various hash browns that were a bit plain as well. Don't worry, they've got bottles of Cholula hot sauce on hand to solve any problem. We went on New Years Eve for breakfast, there was a 15 min wait which was fine so we decided to sit at the bar. The service was exceptional!!! The bartender/waitress was very nice and informative. I've been to this spot a few times now. Each time has been very good. I've had various items, French toast is solid. I really like this item that is called "brown" which is basically a hash brown stuffed with various fillings. I get the mushroom and leak brown, which is outstanding. I will start that I have been here before. It was not my favorite at the time (about 6 years ago). I met a friend here for breakfast. The atmosphere is Good, kind of like a diner setting, but the food is more elevated. Abby waited on us, very nice. I had some sort of hashbrown wrap. I can't remember the name, but it is a popular item. My friend had a "giant" egg omelet (he took 1/2 home). The food was much better than I remember. Everything about Blue's Egg is what I love about this uniquely wonderful establishment that serves an unbelievably large and varied breakfast/brunch/lunch menu from 7am-3pm daily. The menu features several daily specials and every day one of those specials is chosen to donate the proceeds that came from that item ordered to a community charitable entity. Next, you would assume that this is the largest home in the neighborhood and all the Moms and Dads and Grandparents are making all the food and the teenage kids are serving the entire neighborhood. It's like Cheers for breakfast and brunch. It (I believe) is family- owned and I know there are at least 2 generations working there and they treat you like family on your first visit and forever more. I haven't experienced this level of warmth, excellent service even at 5-diamond restaurants. The menu is vast and changes daily with various specials. I am working through the breakfast items, starting ordering a few lunch items and those that are a combo (brunch items). I have been there 1-2 days a week for the past 4 months and have yet to have anything that hasn't been superior. It is a diner ambiance with a Grandma's kitchen feel to it - I would give them 10 out of 5 stars if I could - there is not a thing you can find less then optimal at Blue's Egg - and don't get me started on the bakery items and scratch made pies and chantilly cream pies!!!! We were very excited to try Blue's Egg during our extended weekend in Milwaukee, and breakfast did not disappoint. The service was excellent from start to finish, and the number of worthwhile menu options made for a difficult decision. I ordered a house coffee, Chicken Chorizo Omelette, Goat Cheese Browns and sourdough toast. The Valentine house coffee was a delicious, almost sweet roast and a nice precursor to the main meal, along with the fresh grapes provided as an appetizer. The omelette had a great texture, and I really enjoyed the flavor combination of spicy chicken chorizo and pickled chilies alongside creamy goat cheese. The house-made South and North hot sauce was also a nice compliment to the omelette and crispy hash browns. I'm happy to say Blue's Egg lived up to my expectations (and the generous portion made for a nice second meal of leftovers). I would definitely visit again on a future trip to Milwaukee. read more

We have been countless times to Blues Egg, and it's one of our family's favorites! The service is good and friendly, and the restaurant has a cute, diner feel. We have lots of favorites off the menu. I always go back to the browns, any variety. All the food is good, though! The grain bowl is a great option if you want veggies, and all the breakfast items and sandwiches are delicious. It was colorful (with beets and carrots and potatoes), but the spicy sauce that came with it just sort of sat on top of the vegetables' flavor without really affecting it at all. I had heard a lot about Blue's egg and have had a good experience dining at its sister restaurant- Maxies. So we decided to try it for Brunch today and definitely highly recommend it. We got their Barbacoa bowl and the Rejuvenation bowl. The Rejuvenation bowl was so healthy with farro, arugula, roasted broccoli, mushrooms, and wild wonder tomatoes, sliced avocado, feta cheese, cucumber, radish,tofu scramble, sofrito sauce. The sofrito sauce was yummy and was great to dip the veggies in. They also have killer bloody marys with infused vodka. My friend and I went to this location on Sunday, May 15 at 1 PM because we wanted to try something new. We were theater right away because we had a reservation which was nice the hostess was very nice and friendly our waitress was okay. My first time stopping by Blue's. As someone who travels for work I get to usually stop by the highest rated breakfast spot in each city I move through, and Blue's did not disappoint. The food was immaculate, the service was kind and 100% on point. Every time I thought of something I might want, my server Abbey already had it in her hands as she anticipated my every move (butter and jam for my toast? Real cream for my coffee? Homemade hot sauce??) I ordered the steak and eggs - the steak was cooked a perfect medium rare, which for breakfast places is usually a struggle. The real star of the breakfast was the browns - I had mine stuffed with mushroom and leeks with a creamy garlic sauce on top. The hash browns were crispy on the outside, and soft and flavorful on the inside. The leeks and mushrooms were cooked to perfection. Everybody was very friendly and helpful my entire time here, and even though I was stuffed, I had to grab a couple of linzer cookies on the way out. This might have been the best breakfast I have ever had on a trip. 10/10 would definitely recommend. read more

Came here again for brunch today right after Christmas Day, the place was packed! Glad we made the reservation online beforehand and was able to be seated right away. We had coffees with the famous monkey bread (as always so good). The food we ordered were pulled ham omelette and rasher Benny. They were quite good, not salty at all (which we preferred), but we could taste the meat and veggies init pretty well. The hash was always huge lol. Considering it was such a busy day, the serving was understandably a bit slow and it was quite noisy around. But we did enjoy our meal.
