After many morning coffee rushes here, I experienced my first time dining in at the Lane Avery location. I always adored the indoor dining here, but never got a chance. I managed to slide in about 30 minutes prior to closing and order a drink to dine in. FYI if you are using their app this location doesn't have table numbers or QR codes, but let your server know your name so they can be on the lookout. I do this especially if I have a reward I want to use since sometimes, it doesn't apply with the in-person transactions. Through the app, you can also see that one can request chocolate, cinnamon, Milo powder, etc free of charge. Neat! read more

Came here to get a Bondi Blue smoothie and catch up with friends. After ordering our smoothies, we waited for 20 minutes and still had not received anything, despite the cafe not being that busy. A staff member finally came up to us and unappologetically told us they accidentally left their ticket machine unplugged so the smoothies would still take a bit of time to come out. It took an additional 10 minutes to receive our smoothie, and not once did the staff apologize for the delay. The Bondi Blue smoothie is quite mediocre, tasting mostly like a regular banana smoothie and in quite a small cup. The base cost of the smoothie was $12.50. In addition, this cafe has the highest "mandate fee" that I have ever seen at almost 9% and an additional 18% default tip. For such a steep price, I expect the service to at least be good, but it was borderline unprofessional and the food itself is not worth it. The only reason this isn't a 1 star is that the ambiance was nice, so it was a decent place to talk even without any food. read more

I hadn't been to a bluestone lane before, I went here for brunch with someone who goes here frequently. Interesting, they're Aussie, so I wanted to order one of the "Aussie best" dishes. The soft chili scramble with avocado seemed to be one of the most popular dishes from the reviews and I can see why. It had a lot going for it, the combination of the wheat bread with egg, avocado and "spicy" grilled chicken worked well, it has a nice kick of spice with the chili oil/flakes/sauce that went around the plate. I'd definitely get this dish again. I also ordered a matcha latte and that was standard, quite big in terms of portion though. Nice cafe located on the corner with a nice setup and ambiance. So glad I stumbled upon Bluestone Lane! I was visiting SF and in my office looking for some lunch close by and I found Bluestone on Yelp. I placed an order online and made my quick walk over to pick up the meal. My main reason for docking a star would be price. I love the coffee shop here. I was looking for a place to do some work and I found Bluestone Lane. I arrived on a Sunday morning and was a little crowded, but it was easy to find the seats here. The space is decorated in this lighter navy blue tone with a nice window that views the streets of San Francisco. We were lucky to find a corner seating to sit by, eat, and do work for a couple of hours. There are limited spots in finding outlets, though. It would have been nice if there were outlets all around the area so I can charge my laptop for work. This is not your typical cafe. It is a full on restaurant with plenty of sandwiches and breakfast choices. They have a wide variety of smoothies, juices, and coffee you can choose from. The quality is definitely there. I had ordered a matcha latte and a chicken & avocado sandwich that filled me up. The sandwich was super generous - I can only eat half of my meal. The matcha latte definitely gave me the energy I need to start my day and write. There are a couple of locations for this cafe. I really like it here and the staff here are so nice. The portions have shrunk to the point of borderline shrinkflation. They never include napkins or utensils, which is basic stuff any café should get right. We decided to give them another chance, and what shows up? "Crispy Brussels" that were literally half full... and missing the main ingredient: not one single piece of bacon. MOLD! Let me give you the run down. Went around 12 on a Sunday and it was quite busy. The inside is sort of small but very cute. Only had to wait 8ish minutes to be seated. We ordered through a QR code which had the full menu with photos. My friend's hot latte came and it was in a glass (not a mug) so it was hard for her to even hold it to drink due to the heat. Our food finally came and the presentation was nice. It tasted good until my friend got the rice bowl and she found mold in the rice :( it was weird looking to begin with because it was clumpy and fuzzy compared to the rest. (See circled photo) We immediately got our servers attention who took it back to the kitchen. He came back and informed us it was mold and my friend would get a full refund and they can remake the meal with quinoa. Service was nice but the mold ruined our experience. Hands Down one of my favorite brunch spots in SF! Their menu offers a larger selection of food and drinks than all the other Bluestone locations, their service is efficient and staff are very friendly. On a sunny day you can enjoy their outdoor seating with a view of the fiDi neighborhood. My personal fave is the BL Big Brekkie a perfect combo of flavors that pair very well with each other. Smoothies are amazing and everything is reasonably priced. The three times I've been there I have been immediately seated at a table without a reservation. One of my favorite neighborhood spots for brunch or lunch! Located on a busy corner in a very residential neighborhood, Bluestone Lane is the cutest cafe, with gorgeous decor and ample seating. I love coming here for their green goddess bowl, it's a delicious salad with fresh vegetables, avocado, and a dressing with a kick. Been a few years since coming back for dine in, usually get coffees to go. Service is amazing, even gave our baby some milk since we left ours at home! The place was fairly busy. We ordered from our phones by using the QR code placed in the middle of the table. Tried Bluestone while I was in the area and it was a GREAT experience! Popped in on a Saturday morning around 9:30am ish and it wasn't too busy. My friend and I got a table and ordered through the QR code. Food came out pretty quickly and we shared the Lemon Ricotta pancakes. It was quiet when we were there and customer service was quick! The star of the meal was 100% the lemon ricotta pancakes. I've never had any like these at other restaurants. Perfect combination of sweet and freshness. Absolutely perfect and recommend you coming to try Bluestone for these alone! I got the BL burrito and it was also great! I used to love coming here, but the quality of service has varied so much that I don't always have a positive experience here anymore, so I don't come here as often now or I just do takeout. Food: The food and drink offerings here are generally consistent and good - some of my go-to items are flat white, brekkie board, and athletes burrito. Both the dine-in and takeout (including ordering in -app) experiences are usually pretty seamless, though as expected there may be a longer wait time if they're busy. Service: As mentioned the service here hasn't been consistent. In a recent visit, I was excited to bring me mom here for brunch since she was visiting SF for the first time in years and has never tried Bluestone. We asked for a hardcopy menu for her because she was having a lot of difficulty reading the digital one via the QR code and the server kept saying no and that we had to order online. I understand that we have to order online (I was going to order for her on my phone), but that's not what the issue was and even after several tries he was not listening to what we were asking for and why. Finallyy another staff member listened to us and brought us a paper menu for her to read more easily. In another visit, I came with a friend for a drink deal which was not applied when we ordered on the QR code as she said it would, and so the deal wasn't honoured and we had to pay full price. What's the point of having the deals if they don't work? This is such an easy place to go to and everyone is so nice. I enjoy the outside seating in the warmer months, and their inside dining is also very comfortable and clean. I come here for their breakfasts and have tried many of the items on their menu. They offer a slight twist on some of their menu items and it is a nice touch, ie lemon curd in their granola. Their smashed avocado toast with an egg on top is a perfect meal. I will definitely return and try more on their menu. read more

I've given them two chances, the first time I went my order was completely wrong. Second time I went my order was completely wrong, not limited to the DIRTY tea cup, and the DIRTY tea pot, when I complained it was unclean (literal food and brown residue) I was asked do you want a to-go cup instead. Sadly, not so good. One of the employees was incredibly rude. I'm not sure if he hates his job or just the customers. I walked up to the counter to ask about one of the muffins inside the glass case. He looked at me in angrily chirped, you order from the table. I said, okay but what is this? He said you order it from the table and pointed toward the tables. An obvious flaw in the table service cafe setup is when they have fresh baked goods that are only named on the menu but visible in a display case. Most competent restauranteurs would understand that seeing the pastry actually helps sell the pastry. In the end of the pastry tasted good, the coffee wasn't so good, one of the staff were nice, but the first person I encountered was the opposite of what you want representing your business. I've been to Bluestone Lane over the years so many times and I can say that they are consistent each time. This time, I am basing it on my turmeric latte. turmeric latte (4/5): I ordered it ice so I don't think it was as good because it's usually a hot drink. I love this place because the drinks are pretty solid and the late had lots of turmeric. I was feeling unwell but I didn't have any sickness symptoms. After drinking this drink, my body was revived and I didn't feel unwell anymore. read more

I love their scrambled eggs. Buttery, soft, never over or underdone. No toast with it which is perfect for me. Ambiance is bright, warm, easy to work or meet in. Staff is inconsistent. I've had a couple sweet hearts who smile and are warm and inviting. I've had Australian managers who seem annoyed that I ask about unsweetened alternative milks (I don't ask w/an attitude) and try to convince me that oat milk is good enough because it's no sugar added. (It's ok, not quite the same though.) Maybe because it's the city and it's early when I'm in. It was enough for me to try other shops to see if I can find similar eggs and atmosphere. FOOD: Food wise, a relatively extensive menu of options and lots of pretty healthy options too, all of which you can further customize easily. You scan a QR code on the table to place your order so if you have a large group, you can all either order on one tab or pay your own tabs from the table. I got the baked eggs this time and added a side of chicken. Overall really tasty and high in protein! The eggs are more thoroughly baked and not as jammy or runny as I thought they would be though.
