Love this branch of Devil's Teeth. They have the most delicious breakfast sandwiches and yummy treats like a donut muffin. And on Sundays they have beignets for $1 each. They also have a variety of lunchtime sandwiches like a tuna melt, and grilled cheese and soup combo. Only one complaint: when there's a long line for food, people should be able to go straight to the cashier to buy books at the adjoining bookstore. I skipped my book purchase because I had already waited in the line once to order my food.

Great breakfast sandwich spot that is hearty and filling. I shared the sandwich with my friend as it is a big sandwich and it's perfect for two people to eat. The sandwich was more on the garlic side but I really liked the sauce they put in the sandwich itself. It's nice they use a biscuit as the bread because I like a good biscuit it for breakfast. The avocado gives it a nice touch to mellow out the sauce and eggs.

Massive and delicious breakfast sandwich. Super filling and satisfying we ended up splitting it and using their house salsa. The salsa itself was not spicy to us but added good flavor. It's counter service and they have a cute small bookstore inside to peruse while you wait for your food. The line to order gets long here so come prepared. We took our sando around the corner to enjoy at the Embarcadero plaza in the sun overlooking the ferry building while people watching.

The pictures I took just don't do it justice. This was a hearty, massive breakfast sandwich and super filling and super tasty! I've been wanting to check this spot out for quite a while now and so glad that I did. I love that the inside of the building is connected to a tiny bookstore. It makes the ambience that much better.

Small location right in One Embarcadero. I stopped by on my way back to work after an appointment to get some sweets. I opted for a chocolate chip cookie and a strawberry banana muffin. Hubby enjoyed the chocolate chip cookie but said not the best he's had. I ate my muffin the next day for breakfast and it was pretty good. It was still moist with just the right amount of denseness. Minus one star due to gnats flying around the baked goods which normally would result in me walking right back out without buying anything, but I wanted to give this place a try.

I've had the breakfast sandwich here and the beignets. The Richmond location is always packed but has a nice outdoor patio and this location is cute and clean with a bookstore while you wait. The staff are friendly and helpful. Everyone says this is the best breakfast sandwich in SF and it was good, but it's not my favorite. It's quite large and messy, making it hard to eat and when I had it the biscuits were a little dry. I tried the normal beignets and special strawberry ones for Valentine's Day. They're hot and fresh and well priced, I'm not an expert in beignets but I know people say they're light and pillowy. These are more dense but the flavor is good! Overall a big fan of this business, I just gravitate to the less famous menu items.

The infamous breakfast sandwich spot. This location is a little trickier to find parking since it's in a more central location of SF. I think I prefer the other location more. I placed an order online along with my 2 other friends. I drove us there and they went to pick up our order while I wait in the car. Luckily, it was super fast. The special breakfast is $14 and packed with flavor. The fluffy egg, crispy bacon, avocado, and sauce inside a warm fluffy and light biscuit. Appreciate the consistency to their other location.

Devil's Teeth, named for the Farallon Islands and the book that charts their raw mythos, lives up to its name... sharp, elemental, and unforgettable. I walked in at 9:30 on a Saturday. No line. Fifteen minutes later, the place had a full-blown following behind me. Timing is a kind of knowing. I asked for sourdough instead of biscuit. A quiet recalibration. The sandwich was everything. My partner's three eggs with add-ons disappeared like a decision already made. The books on the shelf were serious. No fluff. Cookbooks with backbone. Essays with heat. A place that understands hunger on multiple levels. And the hot sauce? It preached.

Wednesday, May 14, 2025 11am: After wandering the Embarcadero Center mall of doom I came upon Devil's Teeth. Wow, $6 Avocado Toast! Threw in some bacon for $2. Such a deal. 4 stars for the friendly, fast service. No seating here, but an awesome bookstore inside. My favorite book was Serial Killer Guide to San Francisco. Anyway, the avocado chunks were generous. I liked the crispy bacon. Minus 1 star because the 'toast' was actually a sandwich. For the uninitiated, avocado toast is an open face item. And the bread is Toasted, hence the name. Sigh. As Devils Teeth is strictly take-out, I recommend climbing 1 flight of stairs to the elevated walkway which had lots of tables & chairs. Great start to the day.

I've been wanting to try Devils Teeth for a while, ordered the regular breakfast sandwich with no cheese. It was so tasty! The biscuit was light and fluffy, generous with the egg portion, and bacon wasn't super salty. Their house made hot sauce also added a nice touch

My friend and I decided to check out Devil's Teeth for lunch during the week. They don't have seating inside but it is pretty spacious with a section where they have a collab with Green Apple Books. We ordered with the cashier and it came out pretty quickly around 10 minutes for our sandwiches. Regular Breakfast Sandwich - The biscuit was the star of the sandwich, homemade, fluffy, buttery and had a little bit of sweetness. The bacon and cheese came through a bit with the saltiness but the majority was the egg which had a nice texture but needed a bit more seasoning. The salsa on the side was not too spicy, a more mild flavor that added more depth to it. It does become very filling and heavy. It was a signature breakfast sandwich in San Francisco that is worth checking out.

I came on a Saturday afternoon. It happened to be bay to breakers weekend so it wasn't super busy. It was a short line to order and after ordering, they have a little section where they sell books cards, etc. for you to wait. I think it took about 15 minutes for our food to come out. I got the special breakfast sandwich ($13) but they had run out of bacon that day. You can opt to change to sausage for an extra $3 dollars. I also got a lemon bar and an iced tea. I didn't know what to expect, was pleasantly surprised! I'm not usually a breakfast person or a breakfast sandwich person let alone sausage. However, the ingredients tasted super fresh and the lemon-garlic aioli was very flavorful. But my favorite thing was a lemon bar, I even took it home and my boyfriend finished it immediately (when I was saving it for myself as a snack for later). It was the perfect balance of tart and sweet as well as consistency where some lemon bars can be too runny. I really wanted to try their beignets, but they had just run out for the day so I will definitely be back for that!

Yes, there's almost always a line, but don't let that discourage you--the staff keeps it moving quickly, making the wait fast and efficient. The pastries are incredibly delicious. Their giant croissants are buttery, with soft, airy layers on the inside and a perfectly crispy, flaky exterior. Every bite is heavenly! My personal favorite is the cranberry scone. It's tender, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. For the best experience, enjoy your pastries while they're still warm--they taste even better fresh out of the oven. Payment is easy since they accept both credit cards and cash. If you're a pastry lover, Arsicault Bakery is definitely a must-visit in San Francisco. We highly recommend it!

I came by on a Friday around 11 am and it was so hard to find parking. There's street parking available but it was all filled up and I ended up getting dropped off since I saw the line forming outside the bakery. The line was only formed because the bakery is relatively small and doesn't have a lot of wiggle room so they only let in one party at a time. There aren't any sit-down tables or chairs so this is a grab and enjoy somewhere else. Pastry: Kouign-amann (8.4/10): Oh this was yummy. I love a good kouign amann and Arsicault satisfied my sweet tooth. It was a little too sweet but had a good outer layer crunch and fluffy interior. Chocolate Almond Croissant (7.8/10): This one was amazing! I will say that this one is definitely on the sweeter side but it was still delicious. It's a pretty big croissant with a good crunch but not a lot of flaking :( I did really enjoy the almond paste that was smothered on the inside. My boyfriend really enjoyed this croissant and wouldn't stop talking about it for a few hours.

We waited about an hour on a Friday morning. On to the baked goods, it was some of the best bakery goods I've tried ever. Everything was delicious in every way. The Peach Corn Cruffin was even more disappointing, it was more like apple than peach, the fruit was still crisp and undercooked. Crisp peach? And the cream had a sour note that threw the whole pastry off. The Bruschetta Danish was the standout of the box. The Plum Vanilla Almond Twice-Baked Croissant oddly reminded me more of a PB&J than an almond-plum pastry. The pastries definitely photograph better than they eat. I really wanted to love this place, but I don't think the hype matches the experience. Are there good pastries here? Probably... um, sure. (?) But are those worth the wait and the reputation? Not in my opinion. Sometimes the emperor really has no clothes.

I've always wanted to try this place since I see a line every time I walked by. There's a lot of foot and car traffic. It's definitely a busy area so expect to park in one of the nearby residential areas or be extremely and walk/bike/bus here! Upon stepping into the tiny shop, I was enveloped in the sweet smell of chocolate chip cookies. It was tempting to put that in my bag, but I stuck with my game plan. They do self serve for all the baked goods and drinks except the pizza and focaccia. You tell the cashier what you grabbed. There's self serve complimentary water on the side too. Got a pecan swirl, one of each square focaccia flavors, and a half pizza (hot). The pizza flavor of the day was triple mushroom with sesame ginger garlic vinaigrette and mozzarella. It was 10/10 delicious!! Do note that they don't heat up the focaccia. Personally, after tasting everything, I'd say the pizza is more worth it than the focaccia "pizzas". The pecan roll was quite addicting too. You can also skip the line if you want to order online on their website and schedule a pick up time, but my gift card didn't work so I just waited in line.
