1st only a few tables were taken and only one reservation on the books. Requested to sit at window table overlooking patio and was told no, window table by bathroom or booth by kitchen. Choose window by bathroom, big mistake, every time someone went in or out of bathroom it stank so bad like sewer mixed with Disinfectant! Very hard to enjoy my glass of Pinot. Ordered red clam chowder, it was good but not spicy as described. We were happy they serve the red, it is healthy. I order crab cakes for lunch, they were tasty but lacked crab, mostly all breading. Husband had Ahi pokey, he said it was good. Talked to manager before we left and he said next time ask for him and he will let me sit where I want. I do not understand why customers get stuck at the worst table when the place is almost empty. I really think the tables by bathroom should not even be there. This is our go-to place for seafood in Temecula. I can't believe we lived here for years and never went, but so glad we found it now. We try to go at least once a month but TBH I would go every week if I could! We love to eat at or near the bar as the bartenders are gracious and sweet. Every single thing on the menu is super fresh, the appetizers are a great start no matter what you choose, and the bread is always hot, fresh and delicious. The salmon plank, misoyaki butterfish and sanddabs are must-trys. A more perfect, healthy meal with protein, vegetables and rice cannot be found in Temecula unless you make it at home! Last time we went we splurged and split the surf and turf steak and lobster and that was awesome too. Great food and good service in the neighborhood in Temecula. We ordered fish and chips, half dozen oysters, miso fish and clam chowder. Everything was great from the fresh sour dough to the last bite of fries and coleslaw. just be a bit careful as they serve the food right out of the frier and can be scorching hot. I took a bite into my fish and chips holding the fish with my hand and the piping hot juice in the fish got all over my hand burning it a little. i quickly called over the server to ask for a bag of ice as it was a bit painful and she acted very fast for this request. I was in pain but l love the fact that the food came fresh off the frier as thats how i like my food. lol. manager came by to make sure i was okay and wanted to see if i wanted to submit a report where i kindly declined. food is good, price is good and the ambient is nice., family friendly and good for all kinds of group with different variety of food. if i'm in the area, i would definitely comeback and recommend it to anyone. read more

I've been coming here for about 5 or 6 years now as it's in the Temecula Auto Park near my work. It's amazing no matter how full or empty the restaurant is, the service is so great and the servers are very attentive to all of your requests and needs. I really wanted to make a point to mention that because that's not always the case in restaurants these days. Sometimes it feels like we're still in covid as a result of being understaffed. The food here is so delicious. My favorites are the Clam Chowder, Shrimp Tacos and FIsh n Chips. My work colleague loves the lobster rolls and even though she's about 5' 5" and just over 120 lbs., she could probably put 6 of these away. LoL. Even if you don't like Manhattan Clam chowder, give the 1/2 and 1/2 bowl a try because it's pretty amazing. I was forced to order it by one of my co-workers and now I order it about every other time. I'm super sad, I've been wanting to try this place and we went tonight, we sat outside for over twenty minutes and didn't even get any water. She brought us bread after maybe about 15 minutes and then after another ten went by we just left. We intended on getting two apps, I was going to have a Cesar salad, plus the two kids meals and mine and my bf's entrees not including the cocktail or two he planned on ordering, it was going to be a large bill, so we just left since we were already feeling neglected we didn't want to spend over 200 dollars when the table who sat down after us, already had water and had a server taking their order. It's disappointing since I didn't want to spend yesterday(Mother's Day) dealing with the crowd so today was the day he was taking me out to celebrate. A very nice seafood restaurant in Temecula. We ordered the walnut crusted halibut, our favorite fish, and it was out of this world, just excellent! We also had the New England clam chowder, also very good, and the shrimp cocktail, a generous serving of large shrimp with a nice, mild cocktail sauce. Some places love to overdo the horseradish in their sauce, but not here, it was a perfect blend. Finished it off with a slice of key lime pie and we were stuffed. Why only one entree, you ask? I came here in a party of 2 without a reservation on a Sunday afternoon and had to wait for only 15 minutes. The restaurant is very spacious and has cool decor. The staff were very friendly. They immediately gave us bread and menus. We ordered crab and artichoke dip and calamari for our appetizers. I had a blackened swordfish for my entree and key lime pie for dessert. The portions for the calamari and crab dip were very big. The calamari has both rings and tentacles. It came with a sweet chili sauce and a remoulade (tastes like cocktail sauce with aioli). The calamari was very tender. The crab dip came with chips. The dip was warm, creamy, and cheesy. Both of these appetizers were delicious and could've honestly been entrees based on their size. The swordfish came in a massive portion on a huge plate. The rice has some heat and is pretty soft, almost like a risotto. This was the perfect fish dish. The fish was cooked perfectly and the spice was comforting. The key lime pie was good too. The whipped cream was not overly sweet and tasted like actual cream. Late Post - 11/16/24 Friends and I came here and it was my first time. Parking lot has a lot of spaces and it is easy to find off the main road. We came here at around 3pm, so it wasn't busy but it started getting busy around 5pm. When we left, the place was packed. We ordered the following: Baked Crab and Artichoke Dip - was yummy, cheesy and very flavorful and came with tortilla chips. Clam Chowder - Was perfectly cooked and had a good amount of clams in it. I could've had three bowls of this. San Francisco Cioppino - Very savory soup and the seafood that came with was perfectly cooked, I liked that the shrimps and mussels that came with it were bigger in size than other places I've tried. This came with grilled bread. Prawn Linguini - My friend ordered this but I tried some of it and it was yummy. The sauce was so good but also had a tiny kick to it. The prawns were also pretty good size. Panko Fried Jumbo Prawns - I didn't get to try this but my friend liked it. This dish came with fries. Service was pretty good. Our server checked on us often and even when we asked someone else for assistance, they helped us. I highly recommend this restaurant. The staff is very friendly. The restaurant is clean. The service was great. But, the prices are a bit much. You can find more affordable menu items, in other restaurants with the same quality. For example, $25 for fish and chips? We had just had fish and chips (same portion) in San Diego at Seaport Village for $15.95 the day prior. They also offer (which we didn't get) surf and turf for $95. Way overpriced. The food was good, but not necessarily worth the price. Not pictured but we also got the crab and artichoke dip, which was good. As well as the calamari appetizer, which was just okay. The red sweet sauce (like a sweet and sour) they serve with the calamari is a weird choice. My mom had the NY strip which she enjoyed. We did have to ask for more bread, they initially gave us 3 slices of bread for a table of 6. Overall a good experience, but for me not worth the price. I may have to check out their lunch menu next time and see if prices are better. read more

Apparently, this is the place to be when you're in Temecula! I made reservations on OpenTable about 1 week prior, there so many openings and I thought this place wouldn't be crowded. Wrong! I think it's a local favorite so many people come as walk-in. Thankful for the reservation though because it secured a table, although after checking-in, my party & I did have to wait an additional 20-25 minutes, which was pushing it for me because we weren't late or anything. It was freezing cold outside, so at least we got to sit inside. I thought it was off to a bad start, but the service and food turned it around quickly! Once you place your order, they serve sour dough bread. When you're hungry, the bread taste like a thousand bucks. Fresh off the oven and soft butter was uhhhmazing. For appetizers, the order was clam chowder, half-dozen raw oysters, half-dozen scallops and fried calamari. The clam chowder was very good on a cold night. Warmed my soul. The sauce for the raw seafood was ponzu based rather than the typical lime and hot sauce, which complimented very well with the scallops. I enjoyed the scallops more than the oysters but both were great! The fried calamari is always a family favorite. Comes with two dipping sauces and they mixed some fried sweet potato fries with it too. I felt they could've offered more fried calamari on the plate, but not complaining - certainly must-order! For entrees: I ordered the Rainbow Trout and I had no regrets! It was the bang for the buck, as it was a long fish, served over a bed of scalloped potatoes and greens on the side. I love that they crisped the skin and seasoned/flavored with garlic, butter and all the goodness. I would certainly order again! My next favorite was the cioppino. It's one of my favorite items to order at a seafood restaurant, and my fave one remains the Water Grill in Costa Mesa, but this one beats it! I love that you can add pasta on the side for a more fulfilling meal. The abundance of seafood was great and I love that it had a good amount of soup base that wasn't salted heavily. Next was dessert! They offered complimentary ice cream for the birthday celebrant and I got to try some. They served on a stainless steel cup, so the coldness retains longer and wow, it just amplified the ice cream. It was a perfect creamy-cold texture! It was honestly the seal to the whole meal. I very much enjoyed my first dining experience at Bluewater Grill and I will certainly come back. Food: Calamari 4/5 - it was good. I didn't like the sauce that was paired with it, but it was lightly breaded. Grilled octopus 1/5 - chewy and lacked flavor. We each took a bite and that was it. New York Strip 4/5 - hubby enjoyed his steak, wiped the plate clean. He opted for scalloped potatoes as his side. Chimichurri Mahi 2/5 - fish was dry and lacked flavor. I assumed the veggie meadly was going to be a little more creamy (my mistake), it was an underwhelming dish. Drinks were good. And we bought the souvenir cup that came with the Mai tai. Overall: We came in for our wedding anniversary (as was listed on the reservation) - they initially had us sat at a table right next to the door that led to the patio, and it was a chilly night (and who really wants to sit when someone is opening and closing a door), so we asked for a booth and waited an additional 10 minutes. Not too big of a deal and not that we needed the recognition, but it's always nice when a restaurant/server goes a little above for a special occasion- otherwise, why bother asking when we make the reservation? There was no mention of happy anniversary or a celebratory dessert. We just moved to the area that weekend before, and it was our first time out at a "well rated" restaurant. Visiting Temecula for my anniversary with my husband, and newborn, and we were recommended this restaurant. We got there and entrance looked beautiful at night, even thought wait for our table was 45min long we decided to wait and the manager (Bri) actually did her best to make sure we were sat faster than that. We loved our servers service (Scottie) who made sure we knew everything on the menu and gave us recommendations. Bri had already said to try the Swordfish WE DID AND LOVED IT! Hubby got the Lobster LOVED IT! And the sourdough bread they give as a started LOVED IT! Overall great experience we appreciated the accommodations since I had a stroller had to breastfeed omg first time mommy, going out for dinner has been a bit difficult but I felt very comfortable here. Really enjoyed my visit here. The bartender was very attentive and made sure things were well cared for from the food to the drinks. The crab legs were perfectly cooked and the scalloped potatoes were full of flavor. The chowder was thick and not too runny; plus they didn't hold back on loading it up with clams. The spinach could have used a little more seasoning, but nothing bad enough to lose stars. When you enter you see the fresh fish in the fridge and a clean well kept atmosphere. I stayed until close and was impressed how they cleaned behind the bar, even removing and mopping underneath the rubber non-slip padding/rug they had on the floor. Started off on an early Friday evening, just starting to get busy, with a cup of hald Mahattan Clam Chowder and half New England Clam Chowder, under the direction of our waitress. The New England Clam Chowder gives a nice softness to the spicy Manhattan. Hot, and warming to the soul! Sourdough bread was served as an appetizer, warm and with butter. MMMM MMMM! Walked in for lunch w my husband. We spotted an open table at the bar, but it needed to be bussed. Usually bar service is fast. We stood there for 5 min with no acknowledgement from the male bartender. My husband asked him if he could call someone. His response was "I asked for a busser. After another five minutes, the table was cleaned by someone else, He then returned to our table and took our order. His customer service skills were lacking. There were 2 people at the bar that had their drinks and food, and a table of 2 next to us. I realize he is fulfilling other customer drink orders, but he could have been nicer. My husband ordered the fish and chips, which was delicious! I ordered the ahi poke and was disappointed. It came in a bowl topped with small slivers of avocado puree drenched with sauce along with three wonton chip strips. "Ahi soup?" It had a strong smoky soy flavor with a hint of citrus. I drained the sauce into another dish. It was disappointing for $20. The bartender that took over the dinner service was much more friendly and provided faster service. My friends seemed to like their food. One got linguine and the other got the trout. The service was great! I enjoyed the ambiance. The bathrooms were immaculate and smelled good.
