The staff is great the manager on duty that night was great and took care of us I have no complaints the way they treated us. 3 stars is only because of the food. Food- I ordered the surf and turf $95 ordered the steak medium rare got it medium well steak looked grey had no seasoning except the blue cheese butter they put on it. The lobster was rubber and way over cooked. (Manager took my meal off the check) Wife got king crab legs listed as market price (pretty normal) cost was $152 for 2 1/2 legs and I say 1/2 cause the third leg looked almost like a snow crab leg. The crab was over cooked it was dry and flaky did not pull nicely and have that buttery flavor. her potatoes were warm verging on cold Severely disappointed for that kind of money. Clam chowder was delicious, bread was hot and delicious, got a creme Brûlée it was delicious. Our drinks were made perfect I got an old fashioned and wife got a dirty martini. I Just think for $95 and $152 the chefs need to be more focused on the qualify they're sending out of the kitchen. Finally got to take my son, who loves seafood here for a special meal. The restaurant itself is very nice. It's spacious, and even though they were fairly busy the service was good. They promptly brought bread and butter to the table, and we ordered the crab cakes for an appetizer, as well as clam chowder (which is a contender for best clam chowder we have ever had, maybe not #1 but for sure a close 2nd). My son ordered the lobster roll (hot with butter) which he said was the best one he has ever had, and I ordered the shrimp and scallop pasta, which was very good as well. Overall the food was beautiful, tasty, and the atmosphere and service were great. Can't wait to take my son back and for us to try something else. Such a great spot in Temecula. This was a decent dining experience in Temecula. It was recommended by our friends who are regulars, so we decided to try it and join them. Reservations can be made online and are highly recommended as it was quite busy on a Friday night. The interior has a definite nautical theme. It reminded me of the seafood restaurant from the Simpson's. I had a delicious Mai tai cocktail to start. Tasty and strong. There is a Yelp checkin offer, but our server said it only worked during certain hours and only at the bar. None of those restrictions were noted on the offer, though. Oh well. Our server was quite friendly and attentive overall. We had the calamari starter which was fair. It actually did not taste terribly fresh, and some of the pieces were quite rubbery. I had the salmon entree. This was better than the starter and was fairly tasty. For dessert we had the key lime pain. It had a pleasant taste and texture with a good crust, but it was a bit light on the lime flavor. Overall this was a fair to good dining experience. We might consider returning and giving it another try on our next trip to Temecula. read more

I have a few fish favorites but wanted to try something different for this visit. So why not try chicken at a seafood place? I ordered the Chicken Under a Brick. It was a bit too salty and not as flavorful as I would like, but the scalloped potatoes were creamy delicious. Our server was friendly and accommodating for our large party. It was an extremely warm day to sit outside but there was enough and shaded areas. Unfortunately the misters for the outdoor patio were not turned off due to the live music playing. The singer for the live music had a very beautiful voice and provided a nice noise background. Overall, I'm left satisfied with my meal during the times I've visited. read more

Love this place! I come for their clam chowder on a regular basis. It's the perfect mix of clams, potato's, and a thick broth. They obviously have great seafood as well. Oysters are always so fresh and delicious. Today I had the rainbow trout amandine and it was so balanced. A big portion of fish with green beans and delicious potatoes. Hope really took care of us tonight and made sure we had everything we need in a timely manner. She had recommendations for us when we weren't sure what to get. If you love seafood - this place makes it right. If you love Swordfish...OMG! Get it Bronzed with asparagus and another side of your choice! We love Bluewater Grill. The food is wonderful. Our favs are the Smoked Albacore & Salmon or Oyster Rockefeller for an appetizer and Cedar Plank Salmon for a main. We split everything and they don't judge like other places do. Their drinks are awesome (mai tai) and we have also been known to pay a corking fee and bring in a local wine. The atmosphere is friendly and comfy. Our only complaint is that it's a hop and a skip from where we live so we don't go as often as we'd like. read more

To celebrate my birthday I decided on lunch at the Bluewater Grill in Temecula, having passed the restaurant on several occasions and seeing several vehicles in their parking lot each time I drove by. I had a serious desire for seafood, and I didn't want to drive or ride to San Diego to fulfill my desire. Having done my research I had my meal narrowed down to either the Lobster Roll or the Fish N Chips, which I would pair with a glass of wine or a craft beer. Upon arrival I was surprised at the size of the parking lot and how well maintained, with shrubs, trees, and smooth pavement. As we walked to the entrance from the car, I could help but notice that the establishment was much larger than I remembered during a brief visit many years ago, and I would guess the additional alfresco dining area with gas heaters and torches was the result of the COVID-19 era. Once inside we were greeted by the receptionist and could immediately smell the fresh seafood displayed at the onsite seafood market. To the right was the Bar Counter dining area, and to the left is the huge dining area with a nautical theme. Choosing one of the large booths, we were immediately greeted by Gwen, a charming, kind, professional lady with excellent customer service skills, and a warm disposition. She welcomed us, presented menus, and in a brief moment we had a carafe of water, glasses and some warm sourdough bread with butter. To begin our experience, we selected cocktails (50% off complements of Yelp "check-in"); a Mai Tai and a Moscow Mule as we perused the menu. The dining area consist of tables along the windows, booths in the center, and larger tables in the corners for groups. The atmosphere is nautical, tropical, calm, yet upbeat, and the amount of patrons that entered during our stay confirmed their popularity and approval. Their lobster roll is offered New England style (chilled) and hot butter, which I happily chose, with crispy fries as the side; the mrs selected the Pan Seared Scallops, and the crisp Sautéed Green Beans. When the food arrived everything was visually appealing, and perfectly prepared. The Scallops were seared to perfection and melted in your mouth. The Lobster Roll was nicely toasted, packed with warm buttery lobster flesh and with fresh lemon applied, I was extremely pleased. The meals paired with a glass of Central Coast Chardonnay, which further enhanced the experience. Blue Water Grill is an ideal place for a special or casual date; business lunch; romantic evening; small or large gathering; and even receptions, having a secluded party area outside. Everyone we talk to either says this places is dope or they want to go. We sat outside around 7:30pm it was a beautiful night and made the ambiance that much better. Our server, Yari... she is one of the best servers I have ever had. When I asked about certain items she was very descriptive and honest about preferences. Just her working there will make me go again. Customer service is huge. She was present when needed. How the main event. The calamari was fire. The grits were too much. Meaning, that asparagus and chive oil on it was what did it. Personal preference, I would have used about half that sauce and it would have been solid. I'm a grits purist. lol The blackened Mahi Mahi was also good. The cedar plank salon was quote "a typical salmon." For what we paid, it was priced very well for what we received. Been wanting to go here for quite sometime and i finally made my way last Saturday. And, sadly to say i was disappointed. When we got there, there was a 30-45min wait time which we didn't mind so we decided to go to the bar. And that was a long wait. We saw 3 bartenders but they weren't pushing the order quite fast enough. By the time we got our drink, we only sip it for 10mins and the our table is ready.
