    honey Jasmine milk tea
    Lam B.

Decent poke spot with surprisingly strong teas. The employee preparing my bowl was new, so the process was a little slow, but I appreciated how carefully he handled my food. My milk tea, strangely enough, took the longest to make. The proteins included several types of tuna, salmon, octopus, crab, and shrimp. I chose the Hawaiian tuna, which was fresh and tender, though I wished the marinade had a more pronounced flavor. The fresh toppings were not as plentiful as those at other spots, but they did offer some interesting crunchy additions. I wished the pineapple had not been chopped so finely, since most of the juice had been lost, but I appreciated the inclusion of crushed chips. The sauces leaned toward a spicier profile, so proceed with caution. My honey jasmine milk tea had a surprisingly strong, fragrant taste. The honey was straightforward and settled at the bottom. The drink had the perfect balance of creaminess and milkiness. Overall, the fish was of decent quality, though I hope the selection of toppings expands. I actually found the tea to be the highlight, and I would recommend grabbing a paired beverage.

Always affordable or cheaper than other places and you get a lot! This was only two scoops of protein & it filled me up. The tuna & salmon were really fresh. One thing I would say is I do not like how they use guacamole instead of avocado slices & big cucumber slices.

I'm so sad--shrinkflation seems to have hit my favorite poke bowl place. Ever since the renovation, both the bowls and drinks appear to have shrunk in size. The two ladies who helped me with my order were lovely, but I found it a bit confusing when the one making my bowl asked if the portions looked good. I didn't have the heart to tell her it looked like half of what I used to get. My large bowl now holds the same amount as a medium, with the filling not even reaching the lid. The sauce is no longer mixed in unless requested, which I didn't realize until it was too late. I didn't want to be a hassle and ask for a remake. The wintermelon tea was missing about an inch of liquid and was so sweet that I could see the syrup floating around. It's disappointing to see my favorite poke spot looking nicer after renovations but falling short when it comes to the food.

    Lots of Hawaiian style options

Split parking lot with parking on both sides. Overall fairly easy access. Limited outside seating, this is basically a take out affair. That being said this is probably the best poke in the area. The fish is always fresh. They have classic Hawaiian options that many places lack. They don't over charge for toppings and you pretty much can get anything you want toppingwise without an uncharge. Overall if you are into poke it is a can't miss.

Line was nearly out the door upon arrival! 2 employees working quickly with a busy lunch rush. While waiting for my turn, I browsed the menu and was especially interested by the fish and sauce options they had. Different from other places I'd been to before. Once they got to me, service was fast and friendly. Prices are very fair for poke and among one of the cheaper compared to other options in the area. They had a great tea bar selection as well! Definitely will return to try other flavor combinations for both food and drink!

First time at this poke spot. The portions were amazing and the girl working even got me a fresh batch of rice. I got 3 proteins and basically all the toppings. Sauces tasted delicious. I will definitely be coming back! The shop was also small and cute with a good vibe.

Overall it's not a bad place to grab a quick poke bowl. I have had better quality bowls for less at other locations. Also, there is not a whole lot of protein options compared to almost every other place I've been. Other places offer a lot more options, but if you like the basics of tuna & salmon, this place will do. The service was nice, the two who helped me out were nice. The ambiance is clean, but you definitely don't want to sit around there. There is no outside or inside tables & even if it was the door is on a very busy street with nothing special... the highlight of your possible view will be seeing a police chase that started at the Walmart across the street haha. Overall though like I said it's not great, but it's a good place to stop for a quick bowl.

Large bowl with half rice and half salad. Salmon, ahi tuna, and shrimp as protein. Ademame, cucumbers thinly sliced, crab salad... House sauce, eel, spicy mayo, a bit of sesame oil.. arekake, crunchy onion and garlic and sesame seeds. You're welcome. You'll thank me later lol Service is always up to part and staff are very professional. The place is always clean and there's plenty of parking. They also make fire mango smoothies with no sugar additives. Instead of reading my review head over and check them out. They also do boba I think. Sorry I didn't post menu but it's totally work visiting.

It's literally my favorite so I know that you can walk in at any point on any day & get all the things. Like today, the one guy who works here is here on Super Bowl Sunday just being great. Of course he's got the game on his phone (let's be human people) but he's still doing everything he's suppose to with a pleasant tone asking everyone if they want to try the new Matcha;) I credit the owner for finding this guy...speaking of the owner, she is in the back hustling everything. (I don't really know what to say when Every. Single. Time. I see this lady, she's working harder than 3 Californians on a might-as-well-be-summer day.) I can't forget to shout-out all the beautiful girlies who made the consistency actual happen--like the owner's daughter, I think her cousin (only because I think I heard someone else reference them being cousins maybe), the petite cutie with all the gold & the most amazing nailsssssss! Prices are higher than other places. Thinly sliced cucumbers seemed to have been defrosted. I get it. Better to save them than go to waste but then they don't taste the same. I like the variety in toppings. Sauces were good over poke bowl. I regretted only mostly the cucumbers and radish. Way too cold (frozen cold) The spam musubi was also a bummer. Needed more seaweed wrap and the sauce could have been packed separately and optional. It was too sweet and strong while also super messy. My sensory couldn't hang. I also would have preferred eel sauce on the side to dip my musubi in. Between the price, poke bowl portion, and drowned spam musubi I wouldn't make the drive to this location again. I will say, the toppings for the poke bowl like carrots and shredded seaweed and crisp onion and crisp garlic were great to top off bowl with.

The quality of the proteins weren't bad either, but I just feel that again, Yucaipa's quality is better and smells "fresher" when you can smell and taste fish in sushi, odds are it isn't fresh. The ambiance/decor was beautiful, but most people just grab bowls to go these days. The service was nice, but we did feel rushed. She kept saying, anything else and is that it over and over again. Plus I got excited because it's my birthday in a few days and I wanted the red velvet cake they were advertising but they didn't have it. They also don't have fountain drinks, if you want soda you need to pay for the bottle, might as well walk next door to staters and get it cheaper then. Overall it's not bad, we just didn't want to drive to Yucaipa so we figured we'd try this location.

So, of course, I look on Yelp and came across Nko Niko sushi, which is regarded as one of the best sushi spots in Redlands. I actually went as far as double checking on reddit and the votes were definitely in! This place seemed legit so I had to try it. It's located in a shopping plaza so there is plenty of parking. There are several restaurants in the area, while Niko Niko is tucked away near the water fountains out front. As I arrived, they quickly sat me at the bar area and my typical rainbow roll and I tried their snow cone roll. The rolls were so good and the fish was fresh! I loved the sweet sauce that was added to the snow cone roll. After about 20 mins, the chef, who's name is Yaser, started asking me what my favorite fish is and why I like it. I told him Albacore and he instantly makes me some concoction with ponzu sauce which was fire. He then asked me if I like salmon and I told him yes and he makes me a seared salmon roll with orange sauce and pepper. By this time I'm stuffed but enjoying this experience. He made going to a sushi restaurant interesting again like when I first tried sushi. We start talking about Japan and he ask me if I ever had salmon skin. I tell him absolutely not and that when I bake salmon I usually take the skin off. He then tells me that I HAVE to try a salmon skin handroll so I figured I should just go with it. My mind was blown!! I actually like salmon skin lol. It was so good! Overall, I had an amazing experience at Niko Niko and Chef Yaser. I left him a generous tip for the experience and he changed the way I will forever dine at a sushi bar now. The sear was perfect, and the green onion topping and sauce, along with the small slice portions made this easy and fun to eat. Definitely try this in your first round! 5/5 - Shooting Star (front) - Very savory and delicious! If you like the cajun flavor with the spicy aioli sauce, this won't disappoint. The crunch from the tempura shrimp with the texture profile of the crab and rice makes this a very satisfying roll! 5/5 - Carpaccio - This was actually one of the best carpaccio dishes I had gotten, and I think it is due to the seasoning. You only get one order per person which is typical of other AYCE sushi places, but definitely something to savor! 5/5 - Bluefin Tuna - This is limited to one order per customer, but it was the first time I had eaten a bluefin tuna at an AYCE restaurant that tasted like bluefin tuna from Japan. This is more toro than chutoro/otoro, however it did have that distinct bluefin tuna taste. Impressed! 4/5 - Dynamite - Interesting baked roll dish. Served under a small flame that dies out, it was a very savory, easy-to-eat dish with chopsticks. However, it felt a bit overcooked by the end of the flame, which understandably can be hit-or-miss. Definitely try it out, as this kind of dish is typically rare in AYCE restaurants. 5/5 - Del Rosa and East Highland - These are both the same No Rice Roll just with different wraps. The fish serving was generous and we were impressed! The sauce complemented both perfectly. 4/5 - X-Girlfriend and X-Boyfriend - Pretty much the same No Rice Roll but with different fish. Kind of tastes the same from the other No Rice Rolls so I would just get one order to try it out. 3/5 - O.M.G., Pizza, and SBD Hill - About the same flavor profile with the creamy sauce with the seafood that is placed on top of California rolls. You can probably do with just one of these rolls whichever appeals to you. Of course, it is not exactly the same, but we didn't really care to figure out which was which as we were eating it. 2/5 - Flying Dragon - Was not particularly impressed with this dish. There was a lot of rice served for a thin slice of eel and white fish. The sliced onion was OK, and it did not seem to complement the dish significantly. It seemed more like a separate item placed on top of the roll. 3/5 - Cajun Tuna Nigiri - Decent tuna nigiri. I thought the slices were very thin, so the sear actually went through the whole fish rather than just at the surface which would have made a two-texture profile bite. However, it just seemed dry due to the seared thin slice. 3/5 - Cajun Salmon Nigiri - Same issue with the cajun tuna nigiri. It was seasoned well with the cajun, but the thin slice of the salmon made the sear more of a "cook" rather than a seared surface. 4/5 - Regular Salmon Nigiri - Typical salmon nigiri flavor with regular portion of rice. I think it is beaten out my other AYCE sushi restaurants that are generous with their fish portion and provide minimal rice. 1/5 - Shrimp Boat - This dish was very disappointing. While it is advertised as shrimp with crab meat, our whole group found that it was an overwhelming amount of crab meat and could barely pick out the shrimp. Difficult to finish especially in the 2nd half of our meal. Granted due to being a tempura roll, it was served later. 1/5 - Lobster Ball - This dish was also disappointing. While it is advertised as lobster with crab meat, we barely found a difference between this and the shrimp boat aside from shape. Even with the pictures, the size was larger than we expected. Difficult to finish especially in the 2nd half of our meal. Granted due to being a tempura roll, it was served later. 3/5 - Calamari - Huge portions but could have been salted more. Good crunch but I would hesitate on finishing this portion because you might get full! 3/5 - Shrimp Tempura - We ordered 4 orders of this and only received one order (2 pieces). Decent fry and could also be salted a bit more.

Me, it's a great bargain for Japanese food. One plate of the Japanese items exceeds the price of the lunch. (Being seniors, we take $1 off the $18.99 lunch price). Have a mix of chinese and "American" food, one of those on-demand grills, plenty of choices. Of course unlimited drinks but I only get water since I don't want to fill up on drinks. Plenty of seating, clean, the staff clear out used plates quickly. Keep the dishes re-stocked quickly. See the pics for all the food offered. The sushi and sashimi were decent--no fishy smell, no slimy texture, which is always the bare minimum and thankfully passed. That said, not to be mean, but some Yelp reviews calling this "FRESH SUSHI" and handing out 5 stars clearly have never tried truly fresh, great seafood. One thing to note: weekends get insanely crowded, so be prepared for that. That said, during our visit, the servers were actually attentive. The plates cleared quickly and drinks refilled without having to hunt anyone down. Overall, it was a satisfying experience, I left full, and most importantly... no food poisoning . For a buffet, that's a win. Would I come back? Yeah, probably. Just not on a packed weekend.
