I waited a week before writing this. Making sure I was still as happy as the day I bought my 2014…read moreVolt from Plug Auto. And, I'm happier today than then! I had been searching for a Premium package Volt for some time. Plug Auto had the car I was looking for, And, fair priced to boot! Plug brought the car to my home for inspection and a test drive. All done at my convenience. It couldn't have been easier! The car was better than the ad said! We agreed on a price and a few days later I was in Plugs office doing paper work and signing documents. 30 minutes later I was out the door and on my way! No pressure from a salesman. No sales manager needing to approve anything. No hassle, and, a great experience! If they have a car you want, go see them, now. Or it will probably be sold. I hope they get involved with used Tesla's. I might be there 1st sale!

Overhead: when trying to purchase a quality used car, the norm is: a big lot, several salespeople, a back office and associated marketing and support costs. Plug Auto Group is small, low overhead, well-run company that doesn't have any 'fat'. Expertise: Jason knows the vehicle and finance trades and is able to explain the potential routes to purchase an electric/hybrid. He also owns Volts and knows the features inside out. Professionalism: from assessing my needs, establishing my timeline, informing me of possible vehicles and keeping in contact with me along the process, I felt as though I was working with a peer. At car dealerships, even specialized electric/hybrid lots, I felt like I was either being pandered to or was an unwilling participant in a sales game. Jason provided the same type of documents I found at large dealerships - he uses Simpson Chevrolet to check the vehicle, Carfax, and even provided condition reports from auction houses. And I should mention that when we went to pick up our vehicle, and sign documents, the whole process was prepared and streamlined. It took us 33 minutes to go over the documents and electronically sign. Amazing. Then we spent another 20 minutes going over the vehicle, talking about tips and maintenance. I don't write reviews often because I am not easily impressed. I was impressed by Plug Auto Group and feel I received the vehicle that I was looking for at a price point better than a dealership, with exemplary customer service.

I linked my existing bank account to the new SDCCU account to transfer monies (ACH). I initiated the transfer on the 20th. I did not see the deposit on the SDCCU side and when I inquired with SDCCU they told be it would take three to five days before it is posted. Certainly odd to hear nowadays and my experience with other financial institutions were not that slow. On the 22nd my existing bank informed me that the ACH was returned as SDCCU could not find the account for the deposit. When I linked the accounts there were four micro deposits made to ensure that it was the proper account. Once I affirmed the micro deposits, I sent the ACH. I'm not sure what is going on at SDCCU but this experience leads me to believe their online banking system is either old or broken. There is no help function on their app and you need to call a representative for any assistance on online banking. Frustrating at best. Good news is I have my money back and the next step is to close out the SDCCU account and withdraw the balance I placed there when I opened it. The experience was awful and not what I expected from a financial institution. Their mobile app was clunky and seemed to be based on an archaic platform with limited functionality. If you're looking for reliability and assurance of a secure and safe institution this is not it. On the positive side, the staff at the Mission Viejo office was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Their level of professionalism was satisfying. The only negative aspect was having to go through a credit check to open an account. I've never had that happen opening any other accounts but then I am old. Anyways, your choice on whether you use SDCCU or not. I'm just sharing my experience and dissatisfaction and if you were family I would tell you to try another place.

Mike was very knowledgeable about bank procedures and quickly opened an account and answered all my questions as well as addressed my concerns. I have been back a couple of times with questions (and my own predicaments), and Mike has always helped to the Nth degree. Thank you Mike and SDCCU for helping me and being there every time.
