I was quite surprised at how good the iced lattes were. They had a vanilla syrup and a lavender syrup and I asked them to mix the two and the result was delicious! They also offer 3 different sizes which is great if you ever want anything larger than a 16 ounce cup of coffee... because sometimes I do! My bestie and I stopped by here for a coffee date and the place was filled with tables and couches. It was the perfect place to wind down and catch up. Service was quick and friendly. A pragmatic place for a quick bite. A decent menu of bagels, crepes and sandwiches with a friendly service. We had a couple sandwiches with a nice cup of coffee (Mexican Mocha). Coffee was stellar with a nice aroma and a good shot of caffeine. Sandwiches were decent. However, overall ambience and vibe was subpar (eg., lack of music, lack of warmth from decor) and two wide-door entrances leading to a sterile environment. I love trying boutique, non-chain coffee shops - this place had been on my list for a while and was glad to finally try it today, although a tad bit disappointed. The good news is that there is much room for easy improvements - the menu was perfect and service was great too - just a little work to enhance the atmosphere and vibes can go a really long way! Cute little coffee shop in Los Gatos. I would come here for my lunch when I worked in the area and loved in. They have a great coffee selection with their unique twists every season which is enjoyable to try and their sandwiches are simple, can be healthy, and delicious - all that i can appreciate. The service is always delightful. The kids behind the counter are friendly and have a good personality. Another plus is their table in the back for the kids, coloring books and crayons for them to stay busy while we wait or for me to work on my laptop. :) read more

I've refrained myself from writing a review a few times since it's a local spot and I've had a few normal experiences here but I think it's time to share my thoughts. I came this morning to grab a few items to go. There was a second cashier in line staring off into the distance - I wasn't sure if she was planning on opening up so I just waited. I eventually made eye contact and with a blank stare gave a forced wave of the hand - no greeting. I ordered my bagel and coffee and as expected, interaction was not friendly at all. After I ordered I waited for my food and coffee. I've had experiences in the past where the person in charge was calling orders was inconsistent and almost picking and choosing what names to call out. I thought this time would be different. I waited in a spot where I did not have direct vision but since she was loudly calling orders out, I would be fine. Five minutes go by, I don't hear my name but I go and check. My coffee is there, okay here we go again. Wondering how my name conveniently does not get called out when I'm literally hearing all prior orders. Okay, let's try again with the bagel.. wait another 5 minutes, I look over and I see all the personell standing around.. probably a sign that my bagel is complete.. yep, order is sitting right there on the counter (no name called). Atleast it's been consistent of my experiences here, sucks because I do enjoy the product but I have to make sure there's accountability. The ultimately grand finale is when I open my order at home and there was an open lemon juice container upside down with lemon juice all on the bottom. This caused my bagel to get wet and soggy. Weird how it was conveniently placed upside down and open.. If you value service and being treated well - I don't recommend coming here. I will say their cinnamon coffee is some of the best I've had. But this staff has high turnover and I've mostly had bad experiences with only a few friendly ones. read more

I've been to Blvd Coffee many times, and their wide selection of specialty drinks is very impressive. Some are a bit on the sweet side for me, but they also make just a really solid latte if that's what you're in the mood for. The interior is always clean and very comfortable. They have some couches inside that are soft and cozy, and unless the weather is bad (which in San Jose is nearly never) there's abundant outside seating. You'll almost always see people hanging out there. Since this place is in a fairly large shopping center with an Albertsons and many other stores, parking is abundant. I've never had an issue. The only issue I have had is with the construction of some of their food, specifically the bagels. I am not much of a bagel fan, at least on the West Coast. NYC bagels are better and less doughy, I spent a week there once and it really opened my eyes. Why are theirs so much better? Some say the water, I say more likely people here just don't care. And I'm sure we have better tacos so maybe it evens out. Anyway, Blvd Coffee's bagels - they are just poorly constructed. The paper wrapping seems to stick to the bagels, the fillings always shoot out the opposite side when you take a bite, and they are too wet. Specifically the bagel with jalapeños, it was so soggy. I don't know, the coffee is writing checks the food cant' cash. Hence the 4 stars. Speaking of cash, they take credit cards. The pricing here is also good, I mean obviously drinking coffee at home is cheaper, but that's also kind of sad and lame. Plus there's usually dogs hanging around outside, so you'd definitely be better off getting coffee and petting a dog then drinking coffee at home wishing you were petting a dog. Overall, great place for coffee, and I've heard positive reviews for the crepes. But please work on your bagels. read more

I've been coming here a lot lately and have been on a very consistent streak of great food and delicious coffee! The staff is all super friendly and my order is always correct. The space is quite large, so I never have to worry about finding a spot to chill and work on my laptop. But I wish they would do a light remodel to the space, it can use some touching up with the paint and furniture. It's kind of a wonky layout, maybe from covid but there's so much unused space. Almost seems like they started a remodel or expansion and never finished. Either way, I'll keep coming back for the yummy goodies! Glad to have a great coffee joint in the neighborhood. read more

The vibe and atmosphere is pretty nice in here and there is a lot of seating but their coffee is subpar. I come here every once in awhile since I live close but every time I get my iced vanilla latte it just tastes like milk and the expresso just doesn't come through. I also just hate torani syrup, it's cheap and low quality and personally ruins the drink. read more

Hello Hidden Gem in the neighborhood! Searched for a local neighborhood coffee shop for a change in scenery for remote work and Blvd popped up. Can't believe I haven't been here. Staff is friendly and they make some great lattes. Food option has a range from light snack/ pastry to sandwiches- which makes for a wonderful half day work of breakfast then lunch to go. There is plenty of roomy seating. A great place for a catch up meeting, mom group meet up after school drop off, or post long walk at Almaden Lake. It's worth checking it out! Enjoy! read more

While not one of my top coffee shops, I feel this place has a lot of potential. It is spacious, has a good amount of seating, with a great selection of food - including pastries, breakfast sandwiches and a great place to go for crepes. They make a very good coffee, my favorite being the cinnamon twist latte - in fact sometimes I come here just because I crave that . I feel it could be a much more exciting place than it is with a little bit of work -. The furniture seems a little worn and I feel that more effort could be put into how furniture is laid out, it feels a little jumbled. However with a little effort this place could be made very welcoming and comfortable - it certainly has the potential! But don't let this keep you away, the coffee is very enjoyable and the crepes are excellent and the service is always very good. read more

My experience is that most coffee shops have bitter coffee, but Boulevard's is smooth with a great flavor. Hmmm BLVD Coffee is a pretty amazing little classic drip shop in the Crossgate Village. I found myself wanting to check out their pastries and they do have a variety which is nice for a change! Got a double chocolate muffin and a double shot almond milk, latte. The roast had a nice auburn flavor that is difficult to pin point. Hotdog! A new flavor and roast definitely different from the norm organic Tony's via Wellingham Washington , all and all a great brew! The double chocolate muffin was really fresh and not overly sweet for my taste. To each their own and I absolutely love unwrapping that beauty and pressing it into my mouth. This place is fantastic - slowly weaning me off Starbucks who I still occassionlly must cave to since it's fast, there are 4 on my way to work and I'm always running late sadly. But as someone said to me, "Somehow Starbucks has convinced us that their food is how breakfast tastes and we've forgotten what good tasting food is." Just can't bring myself to order that old egg on the rubber bun there now. Blvd. has some damn good food, I typically get some breakfast sandwich, always excellent, but the pastries! Wow - special cheers for the mornings they dcide to do Mexican (conchas, pan dulce, etc). Employees are all super nice, including the friendly owner - and the manager, Monty, who manages to recognize me no matter how hard I try to hide my bedhead, last night's makeup desperation for coffee.' 2.5 Stars The good: The coffee and it's a great spot to meet with friends. It's your neighborhood hangout. The not soo good: Quality of food is at a decline. I would order usually order Avo Toast with Egg and it use to be delicious. Now the they barely put any avocado in it even if you request for extra. They try to spread it out like butter. The egg is overcooked. Unfortunately, this was not a one time occurrence. I'll still come for the coffee as it is easy spot to meet with friends. I really like BLVD coffee. Been going to them for years, and I order the same exact drink. I have noticed, though, that the past few times I have gone, I have gotten ill from my lactose intolerance. How do I know? Because almost 4 hours after I have a coffee, I am ill. It is super important that the barista treat every non-milk order as people having some generalized issue with milk (be it intolerance or allergy). I have noticed that the steamer is not cleared and wiped between usage. Please keep this in mind. While I will be telling them in the future to be sure to clear all equipment of milk laden products, I shouldn't have too, given a stricter adherence to quality control. I can't keep going to BLVD if I keep getting sick. Ugh! read more

Blvd Coffee was a trek for me, but I've been wanting to try out their food and coffee. Since it would be my first time there, I was hoping that the quality of my food and drink made the trip worth while. Blvd Coffee did not disappoint, and I would be totally down to swing by when I'm in the Almaden Valley area in the future. I ordered iced cinnamon twists, an egg and cheese croissant, and a plain croissant for me and my sister. Regarding the croissants, I believe I heard that they were made in-house. The croissants were definitely buttery and flaky, so even if I misheard the employee at least the croissants weren't old or stale. The egg and cheese sandwich was very filling. Granted, it looked like it was made with 4 eggs because the egg was super thick. I did notice that texturally the egg had air pockets like it was steamed or microwaved. Not a make-or-break by the way, just an observation. Although the sandwich was fine, it could've used a bit of salt or a type of sauce (e.g. salsa, hot sauce, pesto, etc.) to attribute some flavor. The cinnamon twist was an excellent drink. It wasn't too sweet and was heavy on the cinnamon, which I liked. I appreciated that I could taste the flavor of the espresso. Service was great. The employees were all very friendly. The drinks I ordered came out quickly, but my sandwich took a little bit of time since it was made-to-order. Nonetheless, I felt that the overall wait time was no longer than 7 minutes. read more

The atmosphere is really nice, and I wish we had more of them scattered around San Jose. A little hot spot here! Dog friendly as well! (Who doesn't enjoy breakfast with a little fuzzy companion!) There was something magical about the bagel here. We got a jalapeño and cheese bagel and it was just so perfectly gooey and filled with delicious cream cheese - The whole thing warmed to perfection. The drinks were not bad but also nothing spectacular either. if you were going to get the drink with the Mexican chocolate, it's definitely not that great as an iced beverage. I'd recommend getting it hot so that the chocolate can melt better instead of just sinking to the bottom like it did for the iced version of that drink. Unfortunately, docked a star because of the service. Just trying to pay was chaotic. It took 15 minutes to pay for a bagel and two drinks. read more
