My friends and I grabbed lox bagels, turkey avocado bagel, plain cream cheese, egg bacon sausage, and an egg and cheese bagel. The lox bagel had a good amount of cream cheese and everything was really well proportioned. For only $10.95 it was sooo worth it! The turkey avocado bagel was the only other one I got to try and that was also very yummy. Stacked with ingredients and a ripe creamy avocado. Basket Bagel is a mom and pop ran store that serves a bevy of bagels, croissants, and beverages. My boyfriend got the chicken provolone on a jack bagel, and I got the salmon lox on a sesame bagel. These bagels have an excellent texture when toasted, the tough crunchy exterior paired with the chewy soft interior is perfect. I liked the salmon lox a lot, they did not skimp on the onion, tomato, or salmon for mine! My boyfriend liked the chicken provolone a lot, this scratched the bagel itch that the both of us had. This new bagel shop opened in one of those "cursed" spots in this complex that has been a bunch of different places. We are hoping that Basket Bagel sticks around! This location is relatively easy to park at since there is a huge lot, though there are a lot of businesses in the area. When you walk in, you can see the huge variety of different sandwiches and a case full of fresh bagels. There are plenty of places to sit. I got the lox sandwich on a poppy seed bagel. All the bagels looked really fresh. The bagel was nicely toasted, and the sandwich came with onions, tomato, and capers. I also tried one of the sandwiches on a croissant last month that someone brought me, and it was really good I definitely want to go back and try one of the coffees since it looked like a good selection. Very cute new bagel shop in the center at the corner of Meridian and Hillsdale. Had no idea this place had opened so decided to give it a try. I am a bagelholic and am always on the hunt for the perfect bagel. And this one is in my neighborhood so that's a huge bonus. The shop is open, spacious, and clean. I was greeted immediately. Service with a smile. The place felt welcoming and comfortable. A nice spot to relax with friends or to get some work done (they have free WiFi). We need more "third spaces" and this one is perfect for that. There's even a little outdoor patio with plenty of tables and chairs. Was craving something with a little spice so opted for a jalapeño and cheddar bagel toasted with cream cheese. The bagel was toasted well and had just the right amount of cream cheese. Quick prep time without a lot of waiting around. The bagel texture was on the softer side, probably optimal for their bagel sandwiches, versus the more dense kind you'll find at a place like Boichik. The jalapeño was abundant but not spicy. It wasn't the perfect jalapeño and cheese bagel I'm on the hunt for, but it was good. I give the bagel a 4/5. Overall I'd give them a 4.5/5 but the service and ambiance really push it up to a 5. I plan to come back to try a different bagel and a boba tea. Delicious! The owners own the Donut Basket on Ross and Branham ave so you'll get the same delicious bagels and coffee at their new location. This new location offers their delicious bagels and pastries but keep in mind this new location does not offer donuts. There is plenty of parking and ample seating inside. It's a nice, clean place and still looks pretty new. That spot has had a few restaurants come and go, so I'm hoping this one sticks around. My son got a breakfast bagel sandwich and really liked it. After my hair appointment, I got SUUUPER hungry since I was running off overnight oats and a beef stick. There were sandwich options, regular bagel options, etc. They also had pastries available by the window that I was unable to try out. They also had drinks available! I ended up getting the following: -chicken pesto bagel on a pesto bagel -strawberry matcha latte I don't remember what my total was, but it had to have been under $20, which is pretty fair for a bagel shop. Since I was the only person inside, my order didn't take too long to get (but also I think because they were about to close as well). REVIEW OF EACH ITEM: -Strawberry Matcha Latte - this one was ok to say the least! It's not like your vibrant green, umami matcha but it is pretty refreshing. The matcha flavor is pretty light and you can definitely taste the strawberry more. 3/5 -Chicken Pesto Bagel: THIS WAS SUPER GOOD! However it is pretty messy, but it is also a very juicy/wet bagel sandwich. It was packed with so much flavor - from the bagel, to the chicken, pesto, and extras inside. I really loved this and I'd definitely get this again. It was very filling and I couldn't finish it all. I ended up taking the other half with me home. They do two things, and that's their focus - and they're fantastic at it. My outright favorite is their veggie sandwich on croissant. The vegetables are very fresh, the croissant soft, and they do a bit of spices and cream cheese to bring it all home. An absolute delight - it's so good even people not up for a veggie sandwich would probably enjoy it. My wife has also tried a number of sandwiches and been pleased each time. You can eat inside which is nice and clean, outside where there's some tables, or take it home. Service is fast and friendly. A strong recommend. I just happened to passed by when I noticed their banner out front upon entry I was greeted by two staff employees and the place is clean, spacious so inviting that I chose to dine-in since there were no other customer. By the way they do have a large outdoor seating which is real nice on a day like this. Browsing through the menu I chose #22 chicken provolone and a large cup size Vietnamese iced coffee. I must admit the asiago bagels were a good solid healthy meal generous portion fresh veggies tender juicy chicken crispy simply delicious would definitely have that again. Judging by the reviews I can see why Basket Bagel is rated very highly giving the competitors run for their money.
