    Turkey avo club

I've come here 2x so far & would likely be a regular if I lived in the area haha. Very clean & welcoming spot - breakfast and lunch bagels have been a hit. I got the turkey avo club as well as the sausage egg cheese & both were very well made. Viet iced coffee and black coffee is strong! Service is quick and they have lots of snacks and drinks as well. They've been open for 5 months - definitely come check this place out!

This new bagel shop opened in one of those "cursed" spots in this complex that has been a bunch of different places. We are hoping that Basket Bagel sticks around! This location is relatively easy to park at since there is a huge lot, though there are a lot of businesses in the area. When you walk in, you can see the huge variety of different sandwiches and a case full of fresh bagels. There are plenty of places to sit. I got the lox sandwich on a poppy seed bagel. All the bagels looked really fresh. The bagel was nicely toasted, and the sandwich came with onions, tomato, and capers. I also tried one of the sandwiches on a croissant last month that someone brought me, and it was really good I definitely want to go back and try one of the coffees since it looked like a good selection. Also desserts looked good as well. I think this is a good place for brunch or lunch!

Very cute new bagel shop in the center at the corner of Meridian and Hillsdale. Had no idea this place had opened so decided to give it a try. I am a bagelholic and am always on the hunt for the perfect bagel. And this one is in my neighborhood so that's a huge bonus. The shop is open, spacious, and clean. I was greeted immediately. Service with a smile. The place felt welcoming and comfortable. A nice spot to relax with friends or to get some work done (they have free WiFi). We need more "third spaces" and this one is perfect for that. There's even a little outdoor patio with plenty of tables and chairs. Was craving something with a little spice so opted for a jalapeño and cheddar bagel toasted with cream cheese. The bagel was toasted well and had just the right amount of cream cheese. Quick prep time without a lot of waiting around. The bagel texture was on the softer side, probably optimal for their bagel sandwiches, versus the more dense kind you'll find at a place like Boichik. The jalapeño was abundant but not spicy. It wasn't the perfect jalapeño and cheese bagel I'm on the hunt for, but it was good. I give the bagel a 4/5. Overall I'd give them a 4.5/5 but the service and ambiance really push it up to a 5. I plan to come back to try a different bagel and a boba tea. Happy to support an independent shop and hope they do well.

Nice variety of bagel sandwiches and cafe drinks. We ordered the pesto chicken and pastrami bagel sandwiches. The fillings were generous and the toasted bagels tasted flavorful and chewy. Service was caring and prompt and the cafe is spacious and neat.

Delicious! The owners own the Donut Basket on Ross and Branham ave so you'll get the same delicious bagels and coffee at their new location. This new location offers their delicious bagels and pastries but keep in mind this new location does not offer donuts. There is plenty of parking and ample seating inside. I ordered a spinach, ham and egg sandwich on a plain bagel and a Vietnamese iced coffee. Both were delicious! The lady who helped me with my order was super nice too, I wish I got her name. Give their new location a try!

Phenomenal bagel sandwiches for great prices. So good. Great place to get some work done or just grab a quick bite with your friends. My go to is the sausage egg and bacon on a jalapeño cheddar bagel. I literally have dreams about this order on some nights.

Their turkey , egg and cheese sandwich is TOO DIE FOR. It is freshly made and tastes so incredibly well. Great service, super clean environment and conveniently located near a few shopping plazas.

Wonderful customer service! I purchased the Roast beef sandwich on a sesame seed bagel for my mom and I had a Turkey Avocado Sandwich on a Sesame seed Bagel. They were Amazing! The bagels were perfectly toasted yet soft. The sandwiches had fresh produce that made them so flavorful and delicious! The cafe was very clean and was set up so nicely.

Basket Bagel Cafe is the latest newcomer located in a busy strip mall along Hillsdale Avenue with ample parking. I just happened to passed by when I noticed their banner out front upon entry I was greeted by two staff employees and the place is clean, spacious so inviting that I chose to dine-in since there were no other customer. By the way they do have a large outdoor seating which is real nice on a day like this. Browsing through the menu I chose #22 chicken provolone and a large cup size Vietnamese iced coffee. I must admit the asiago bagels were a good solid healthy meal generous portion fresh veggies tender juicy chicken crispy simply delicious would definitely have that again. Judging by the reviews I can see why Basket Bagel is rated very highly giving the competitors run for their money. They're opened seven days a week during daylight hours and not in the evenings by the way they do accept cash.

The place is very clean, staff is friendly and bathrooms are clean. Portions are ample. We ordered garden delight. Chicken salad on jalapeno on jalapeno cheddar, egg salad on Asiago and turkey avocado. Flavors on point and my iced latte with oat milk was so good and strong. Sorry Noah's who? This place is top notch

There was a mix of people studying, working, and chatting with friends; it's a very lively community spot. Despite how chaotic it was, the space was generally clean and the service was great. The cashier made sure to get our names and address us by them. The decor is beautiful, feeling intentionally designed. I thought it was really cool that they have a slow coffee bar area specifically for pour overs (I think) where tech isn't allowed, so people are just supposed to sit and enjoy their coffee. I've never seen that before in a coffee shop. The menu is extensive. Since it was later in the day, the baked goods were half off, which was a nice surprise. I got a blueberry latte and an Asian fusion focaccia bread. Blueberry latte - I liked this! The blueberry flavor was subtle and not overly sweet or artificial tasting. It added a light fruity note to the coffee without overpowering it. Fusion focaccia bread - This was tasty, but I felt the original price was steep ($12). My piece was around 6" x 3". The shiitake mushroom flavor was strong and I loved the addition of scallions and Chinese sausage sprinkled throughout the bread. Overall, this is such a cool addition to coffee culture in the South Bay. It feels like shop from a big city like SF, NYC, or Chicago instead of little ol' SJ. The ambiance and options are solid, and it has a vibe that makes you want to stay awhile. You can be a casual coffee drinker or a coffee snob and it will be a satisfying experience.

The bakery offers a place for friends to enjoy each other's company over fresh breads, pastries, coffees, and more. The café was packed with customers sharing pastries, enjoying meals, and catching up with friends. I got the salmon toast, and was the presentation beautiful! Two slices of sourdough bread topped with filets of smoked salmon on an herb aioli spread. All of this was garnished with a generous helping of frisee, a few rings of red onion, a helping of capers, a couple zests of lemon, and a sprinkling of dill. And what a delightful meal! From the first bite, the salmon was smoky with a hint of salt and sweetness, with herbal creaminess and a toasty crunch thanks to the aioli and bread. The frisee was peppery sharp, a highlight and good contrast to the salmon. The mild salty brininess of the capers and the bright tart lemon zest brought notes of sunshine and sea breeze to the dish. The dill was the fresh, light, finishing touch. This was just like a fresh lunch by the seaside, and for a moment it was heaven. Where community comes together for good food, Manresa is there. It's like an unobtainable quest but whenever I have the chance to fill that empty void, I do so by randomly sampling. So what makes a good empanada? To me, I look for a buttery and flaky outer shell. This should not be overly oily or dense. The dough ratio should not overpower the filling and the empanada should be able to hold the stuffed contents well. I personally gravitate towards savory fillings which should be moist but not soggy. Best Artisan Empanadas menu offers a long list of drinks ranging from espresso, teas, lattes, frappes, smoothies, and alcoholic drinks. The empanadas come in savory and sweet options. These can be purchases as is or served with sides, turning the item into a full blown meal. There are 4 different salads available for those who want a healthier alternative. As a quick snack and first attempt of trying out BAE, my sister and I made the purchase of: *Mango Tropical Shaker *Chicken & Mushroom Empanada *Traditional Beef Empanada *Argentinian Chimichurry Sauce The empanadas are amazing when it comes to the dough standpoint. Bae has the recipe down to a T and will make even the toughest eater a fan! The chicken and mushroom empanada was exceptionally delicious- creamy, flavorful, and very tasty. I would have easily grabbed another if we didn't already have plans for our next bite. The traditional beef empanada was good but the raisins totally threw me off. The plump, overly sweet raisins weren't a good combo with the salty olives according to my tastebuds. Again, this was still very doable but I made sure to remove each raisin I came across. The mango tropical shaker was okay, just a little too sweet for me. 5/5 stars for BAE's empanadas. I eagerly look forward to trying the panzerotto [pizza], chorizo, and assorted breakfast empanadas.
