We got our food delivered-everything was fabulous The rib tips are to die for-pulled pork with the extra sauce was tender and yum!! I have been staying in the Courtyard for a few weeks now and being in Portland I try to adventure out and try as many restaurants as I can but some nights I lack the energy for going to get the full experience. Luckily I have BLVD right downstairs making it convenient to grab food, a drink and usually plug in and finish whatever work I need to. The food is all good, I in particular love their roasted beet salad which is my usual go-to. The service is always friendly and very attentive. The only current downfall is the atmosphere, however they are going through renovations so I think we will be seeing an improvement in the near future! I look forward to staying and eating in the new, renovated space! read more

The menu selection was great - you could order ala-carte or opt for the buffet option. Our experience here is deserving of a 2 or 3-star rating. So why did I give 4-stars? Our dining experience wasn't all bad. We got seated right away, was offered water right away and placed our order not long after. Our server was nice and polite. Then there were events that followed that made it a very unpleasant experience, which I'm not going to list because the situation was made right. After filling out the survey that the hotel emailed me, I received a call from the food/beverage director (Marsha) not long after and just sort of explained to her what happened. She resolved the issue and it was a good note to leave off on. To be fair, I'd like to say the Truffle Fries and Tomato Basil soup I ordered was amazing which makes me believe that they do serve good food and I would consider trying this restaurant out again someday. read more

Stayed here and tried the breakfast buffet. It was nice. Little kitchen with pastries, fruits & yogurt, oatmeal, omelette bar, and hot breakfast of scrambled eggs, sausage links & bacon, and home potatoes. Almost every kind!!! The reason for one star off is the wait time to be seated. I got the classic burger with truffles chips while my boyfriend got the buffalo chicken sandwich with regular fries. The classic burger was good but the truffle chips didn't have much taste, although I did have one chip that tasted really good with the truffle. So, if the rest of the chips tasted like that one chip, I would've said it was delicious and worth it. The buffalo burger was ok, my boyfriend said it was too acidic, but the fries were delicious. A decent hotel bar tucked away in the Courtyard Marriott. Semi-friendly staff and a food menu makes this spot an acceptable alternative to Altabira whenever that bar gets full. Typical hotel-bar prices of $5+ drinks with four beer options on tap. Surprisingly snazzy atmosphere (indoor waterfall design, high ceilings) with an outoor area to enjoy the weather. Unfortunately, the outdoor patio is walled off so there's not much of a view - and even without the wall, it would have only provided a parking lot view, anyway. On the plus, there's a view straight into the hotel gym from the patio. I could enjoy a refreshing beverage while watching guests swing their kettlebells and awkwardly attempt to avoid eye contact with me. read more

Well what a nice little restaurant inside of the Courtyard Marriott Downtown Convention Center Hotel. We had breakfast only. Looks like they have a decent dinner menu but breakfast fit our schedule. The food was well prepared and fresh. Very good breakfast. Eggs cooked to perfection, hash browns, bacon....all very good. It is so nice to stay in a hotel that has such a good breakfast waiting for you. Next time we will have to try a dinner there. read more

We found this place for a business dinner after reading some really positive reviews. Well let's just say this was not our experience. Reservations were made in advance so they knew what to expect. The waiter was very nice but his leaders need to be fired. Food took 1.5 hours to come out. Drinks took at least 30 minutes. Orders were lukewarm or not right. The poor waiter kept trying and his manager continued to hide and made NO attempt to apologize. If I could provide a negative review I would. Horribly disappointing! read more

Very disappointed in the wait staff. On arrival 7:00pm we were greeted and told there is a banquet ongoing and they were being served 7:05 and they would not be able to put our order in for another 15/ 20 minutes. We accepted that, 30 minutes later no staff member had come to ask our 12 top if we wanted drinks or any customer service at all. I had to go track down a staff member and ask for someone to come take our order That's staff member again explained the the banquet situation and said we couldn't be severed until 7:30 (btw it was already 7:32 when she told us that) a second staff member came by 5 minutes later and proceeded to tell us it would be another 20 to 30 minute wait just to put our order in. I stated this was unacceptable as this was not what we were told when we set down, after telling me this was out of his control I asked for a manager which was met with the response of "he is not here and it's out of his control too. I then asked again for who was in charge and was met with the question "what do you think they can do for you?" This witty banter went on for another few minutes. To top it off as our party of twelve was leaving 6 kids under 13 and 6 adults the staff proceeded to laugh at us. In my 40 years on this planet I have never been treated so poorly!! We are part of thousand of cheer family's that stay in this area every year and I will ensure the 4 teams we bring every year wont give this place any business. Just rebranded from Charley's Restaurant & Bar in the Courtyard Marriott Hotel! I ordered the blackened salmon salad ($15) which was a large portion and pretty tasty. Service was really great, quick and friendly. I'll need to come back but my impressions are: - Business-style lunch setting. The kind of place where you order an iced tea, you know? - Many menu options from salads and sandwiches to entrees and flatbreads. Kind of TOO MANY menu options if you ask me. Could simplify. The waitress also said they have a $9 salad and soup special all you can eat. I DID find two small black hairs in my salad, so that was kind of....well, eesh.
