I purchased my X3 here and unfortunately they have the worse customer service and service parts for the customers. I was expecting more from a BMW dealership but they are very unorganized and unprofessional with the their handle pick up and dropping off customers for a service routine. It was just a normal oil change for me and the lady who was helping offer me Uber but she said that they only cover 5 mile radius... how convenient for them and not for us!! So I said well you should mentioned that during the purchasing process because that's a breaking point for me!! She was trying to help me so her manager approved to reimburse me my Uber home and back whenever my car was ready that was a year ago!! Fast forward until today I had sent multiple emails and call them back they never had the decency to even bother to answer! So if you are considering buying a car go someplace else!! I just purchased my second vehicle with Long Beach BMW and I cannot recommend them enough. I spent a few weeks shopping around at various BMW dealerships in SoCal before we ended up back in LB. When we walked on the lot, we were immediately greeted by Rob. Buying a car can be such a miserable and exhausting experience, but our interactions with Rob were so pleasant. We never felt pressured or uncomfortable and felt as though Rob was really on our side through the negotiation process. So I test drove a car and really liked it. Based on past experience I will not purchase a used car without having it inspected, no matter what the seller tells me, even if it is a BMW dealership, as I have learned that some are not as honest or working also in their customers interest, as one would hope. Aaaaaaaaaaanyway, I was there a few hours trying to figure out how to get the car inspected since I don't live close by and was slammed with work, so needed the help of the dealership to make it happen. They definitely pressured me to sign first then get the car inspected, which I of course refused. After much back and forth I found mechanics I trusted to do a PPI, but the dealership futzed around and would not bring or release the car for PPI. I told them if the car checked out I am willing to purchase it and I have financing lined up. Wanted to pick it up on Wednesday this week. Today I called the sales rep, the sales manager, and the GM, none of whom would take my call nor did anyone call me back. I finally texted the sales rep to contact my mechanic again, since I've been trying to get this done since Oct. 4th. It took some time for him to respond and then he basically refused because today he is showing the car to other people. It is so funny, because they tried to make me feel guilty about using their time, told me I didn't really want to purchase a car, because I would not sign without a PPI. Seems like they just don't want to sell a car to me because I insist on the PPI. What a bummer and what a bummer of a dealership. Turns out they are a sister company of the very terrible one I wrote about before so that probably explains their poor customer orientation. Sad. Sad. Sad. Needed an oil change for an older BMW I own so I saw a special online for $199 (3 oil changes). Called and spoke with Bryan one of the service advisor and he looked up my vin and said my vehicle qualified for this special. I took the next day off and took my car in. Once there, I was eventually told that my car is "flagged" because years ago I did not take it in to BMW for service. I didn't know that when you purchase a BMW you are required (according to them) to ONLY take your car to them for service otherwise you get "flagged". There's some sarcasm there on my part but basically that's how it makes you feel. It was something that the service advisor Manny and James the service Mgr have never seen before according to them. I found out that Century BMW in San Fernando Valley was the dealership that flagged my car. I originally purchased it from them in 2014. Anyhow, the whole point of my review is because I felt that the customer service at this Long Beach location was awful! Mind you, I called, made appt, since I was told my car qualified for the special, took day off, to be then told, "sorry, can't give you this special after all". I asked them if they could do my oil change for $99 like I have done in the past and both said no. They can do whatever they want! I don't believe that it's not up to them. Lies! They change prices all the time and give you deals (when they want and if it benefits them). But this particular dealership did not want to work with me. I ended up getting my oil change here anyways because my car was already pulled in and they've wasted my time. I was there for almost 45 minutes arguing with them. Paid $130 for my oil change and then just called it a day. I did leave the store manager Robert Lee a message in which he never returned my call. I feel that if this dealership really cared about their customer, regardless of how big or small a service was to them, they would have tried their best to accommodate me and make me a happy customer so when I'm ready to lease my next car (which I was supposed to speak with Matt the salesperson), I would know I'm in caring hands. But after I left that day, I decided to not ever come back to this dealership again for any reason and will will continue to deter friends and family to not ever come to this dealership. We are all mostly a BMW family and will gladly do business elsewhere. Well, I ended up getting my beautiful car from a different dealer. It got delivered to me and I'm a happy girl! In the future, remember, the smallest thing can make a customer happy. Remember that! Unfortunately my service for my front breaks was not replaced because the wear was not up to the wear standard your dealership provides service. This is unfortunate that a high end dealership would not make an accommodation for a service that clearly inconveniences the customer. Overlooking the annoying sound, it was expressed I have a newborn child (24 days) and because my breaks was not worn to the standard at which they deem unfit it was not honored. This act forces me to believe that your customers do not come first. This is unfair to customers who commit to a warranty service at purchasing and hope that you take strong consideration with honoring complaints from customers that has been loyal. read more

Anytime I needed anything, she would text me or call me back within 1 minute. I saw her hustle from the get-go. She set up the entire experience with expert precision. Beware of fraud. I had a very small accident with my 5 series that caused mechanical problems only. No body work was needed. When that work was completed, they said I needed another $10,000 worth of new front suspension because the car would not align. My insurance company did not believe them so they sent the car to an independent shop. They aligned the car with no problem for $119.00. I now question if the work they did for $5,400 was even justified. read more

Customers beware! -Long beach BMW Motorcycle service is unprofessional to its customers. Don't let a friendly smile at the front desk fool you. I took my BMW Motorcycle in for service around October 17th for replacement of fuel pump that was under a warranty. After completion of the service I was called to pick up my bike, and that's when the headache started. First my motorcycle came out of the repair shop with a new scratch on it that was not there before, when asked what happened the service tech denied the scratch, but proceeded to offer me touch up paint to fix it.. geez just take some ownership. The bike had been inspected by three separate individuals before the bike even went into service to confirm no scratches. Once the scratch was found by me the customer, the service advisor came out with pics that he had taken before the bike had service, but still refused to take responsibility, and his excuse was... well the before pics he took were too blurry so he could not confirm if a scratch was there or not. Service adviser was very unprofessional, and rude, and had poor communication with his staff. I proceeded to ask for the GM Charles who I thought would take ownership over his staff to make things right, but was still left disappointed, and with a scratched bike, and I was also short changed on the warranty ticket, even though I was told that the fuel pump was under warranty, and would be covered and taken care of. read more

I didn't mind the wait time. I mind at the fact that this woman shows up 30 minutes later while I'm waiting for him to finish with his first client, and then he starts assisting the other woman and start flirting with her . My husband and I drove 3 hours with plans to trade in our 4 series and purchase a larger BMW. I was very disappointed with their customer service and lack of enthusiasm to sell a car. Trade in value was much lower than expected. We were basically told to take it to car max for a second opinion because they were confident the trade in value would be within the 500 dollar range. They never bothered to run my credit or go further in the process. On a positive note they did have their used cars priced very well. The trick seemed to be to give you a good price on a car but give you a lower trade in value. If you have no car to trade in then this would be a good place to visit. I highly recommend South Bay BMW located in Torrance just a few miles away. They have a personal touch and gave us a 2500 more trade in value then Long Beach BMW. Smooth process and we came home with a a car we absolutely love. read more

I went for my 30000 mileage oil service and my advisor recommended a few other service items typically done at that mile mark and I asked him to go ahead with everything he recommended. All went well but a few days later I had a little incident with my car and I broke my passenger mirror. Headed back to Scott at the BMW dealership in Long beach and fortunately it was only the casing and the led light so a total of 3 items. I went ahead and purchased them in the parts department in the dealership. The gentleman there said just take them to Scott and they will replace them quick for you. The total for the parts was 184 dollars. I went back to scott and to my surprise, he said this is going to require 3 hours of labor and the cost for that is 600 dollars. Yes, 600 dollars for labor and 184 dollars for parts. I said that's impossible I am not going to do it. I went to another shop a few miles away and they did it for 80 dollars in less than an hour. I can't begin to express how disappointed I am with this dealership over and over again. 6 months ago I had a broken windshield because of a rock on the freeway that hit it and I went to replace it at that same dealership and they did twice because the first time they did it, it wasn't sealed properly and we could hear an extensive amount of wind and noise every time we were on the freeway. I went back and they said sorry it wasn't sealed properly. I left it there for a few days to reseal it all over again and I can tell you it's still not perfect. I hope you can do something about all these matters with the poor workmanship, the highly inflated prices and dishonest diagnosis. Thank you read more

Ok first day I purchased my card at BMW of Long Beach I was very satisfied with the great service and left a nice review. Well here I'am 3 months later to tell you it's been a nightmare. I purchased a certified car and a few things need it to be change. I had to visit the shop twice always an excused why they couldn't replaced certain parts. In addition to that I been waiting for my license plante, here I'am driving with expired license because dealership did not submitted the payment to DMV and the rest of the paperwork. Called the dealership again, and seems like no one knows what's going on like their lost. No one knows what's to do. Worst service ever. If I could give a zero star I would have. my car was delivered there after it was vandalized. after a long time, I got my car back worse than it was before. They claimed one of the issues were preexisting. Never had a problem before unit it got there. Anyways, when i got the car back I was barely drivable and sounded terrible. When I got home, I realized the driver's door does not lock, while the passenger's door is permanently locked! changed the battery on my switch to no avail. i called them and left a message. I always take great care of that car. I have all the records. they never called back. I left the message on Friday, he same day I got the car. I finally had to call and call. Finally, I talked to someone on Wednesday. They were expecting me or my insurance to tow it back in so they can finish the job. My insurance finally agreed to pay for the tow, but they would raise my rate every time they pay for something. They charge me 1200.00 for a diagnostic that did not show all the issues. Afte many phone calls and emails, the general manager of the whole place called and promised to look into it and call me back. Never did. I had been calling and emailing the headquarters/ owners Sonic BMW for weeks. Finally, I got an email back the customer service saying the general manage Mr. Lee tried working with me but to no avail. He Never called me again. Not sure how he was trying to help me!!!!!! And they suggested to take my car to another dealer. Other dealers do not accept their diagnostic. And of course, Long Beach BMW refused to refund or pay the other dealers for the same diagnostic. Meanwhile, I am not supposed to drive the car. I have been dismissed, hung up on and then promised to have my issue resolved. Only to be ignored and made to wait for days. This whole process has taken more than 2 months now. Honestly, the worse performance and service ever. they also delivered the car full of trash. I laterally had to clean the trash in front of the service people. The service Manager apologized and had the car hosed down. the whole system was messed up. The entire experience has been a nightmare. I honestly have not had this bad of an experience from any dealership ever. Such a shame. read more

Worst dealership I have ever dealt with. Period. The sales people are fine, don't get me wrong. But when it comes to customer satisfaction and experience, they leave you hanging. Not only have I had extreme issues on warranty coverage, my BT didn't work correctly, I didn't have up to date traffic on my navigation without complaining to BMW USA, I had to fight with them to get a defect on my paint done. PS: don't expect them to return your emails unless you contact the owners of sonic automotive (which I had to do to get their attention). Almost two years later, after THREE paint jobs, they still can't fix it. I've contacted BMW USA and I was told I would get a call from them, it has been a little over a month, nothing. Now I'm having more and more issues, plus now my doors won't unlock? I've had cars for years and they've never had problems like this before, guess that's BMW for you.
