First and foremost, Vandergriff could truly benefit from taking a page out of Classic Chevrolet's book when it comes to customer service. I want to share the email that I sent to Classic Chevrolet. Even though they were not involved in the issue, I received an immediate response that genuinely moved me. Shane Keeling personally called me and his sincere apology for the way we were treated at Vandergriff almost brought me to tears. He emphasized that what we experienced is not how Chevrolet treats anyone especially not its customers. And what can I say about Shane and that smile when he said "Hey, I got you," he truly meant it. He honored everything he said he would, all the way down to even beating the interest rate. My husband walked away with the same truck, with fewer miles, and exactly what Vandergriff had turned him away for. True to his word, Shane also assigned one of his very best sales representatives to assist us -- and from the moment Rajan "Raj" Murali greeted us with his warm welcome and genuine smile, we felt valued and respected. Ready for a long story? Please read to the end for some insightful words. We went to purchase a Chevy Equinox for my daughter at their Grapevine Preowned center. It was the first time for her to purchase a car from a dealership. We met with a sales person we had previously done business with. My daughter test drove two vehicles and made a decision on which one she preferred. There was no haggling or pressure from the sales person. Paperwork was signed ( that took some time)and the draft letter from the bank was given to the finance person. He was going to contact the bank the following Monday when they opened to receive payment. On Monday afternoon we received a text informing us they had sold the car to someone else. We went to the dealership Tuesday and spoke to the manager,Zsolt Corom who informed us that signing paperwork didn't secure the sale, and added he was tired of customers backing out of sales. His solution was to offer a more expensive vehicle" for dealer cost", but still thousand of dollars more than the vehicle original vehicle. Um.....Bait and Switch tactic. I lost all trust with Classic Chevrolet and went directly to Ewing Buick Plano and purchased a car from them. Thank you Ewing Buick for making a deal and following through. My daughter joyfully drove the car home that afternoon. I found Classic management to be untrustworthy and mistrusting of customers. They put a GPS Tracker in my car! I bought a brand new corvette in cash in March. No financing and no dealer add ons. My leg brushed against the OBD2 port the other day and a gps tracker fell off. I called them and they admitted it was theirs. There's no excuse to put tracking devices in peoples' cars. I would never recommend anyone use them again. read more

It was time for an oil change, check if there were any recalls, plus I wanted to get a keyfob rekeyed (one I received from the original dealer...not Classic). Just so you know, if you have a scheduled maintenance/service, it's not where you think it is. It's now located on the opposite side of their site from where the signs lead you. I ended up having to ask 3 different Chevy employees where it was, then the 3rd one told me to follow him in his truck. Their new location is on the same site, but turn in just after the Nissan dealership...it's under the blue awnings. I was expecting to be there about an hour, but ended up there for 2-1/2 hours (appointment was at 08:00 and I left at 10:30). The keyfob I'd received from the dealer (where I purchased the vehicle) didn't even belong to my vehicle...so they couldn't rekey it. It turns out that a new keyfob would cost me close to $600. The oil change and tire rotation was a total of $88, and they drove through the carwash. There were no recalls. While waiting they have a lobby area with a tv, and they have keurig pod coffee for free. This was not offered to me...I found it by accident while looking for the restroom. They are good, but didn't ask me about my filters or anything else. I figure I'd go back to Classic for larger maintenance, but might find a place a bit quicker for oil and filter changes. They sold me a very expensive lemon. One month in it blew its head. It's a 2023 Suburban and now two years old. I've made several other repairs and have spent a couple thousand more on it. When I complained they made an offer on the lemon as a trade in but it wasn't an offer that made my situation whole nor was it good enough that I couldn't get a nearly identical offer for the lemon from a totally different car maker, which is what I'm going to do. Hector got on it right away, as always, and I needed to replace my exhaust pipe and oil pan. I rented from Smart Auto Rental in case this would take a couple of days to fix. I told him I might come back tomorrow and let the wife take a look at the car herself. The car buying experience at Classic Pre-Owned is, in my experience, positive and on par with other dealerships, however, woe to the luckless customer who later needs service/repair on the vehicle they have purchased from Classic. The company's service department is the most blatantly dishonest and predatory entity I've dealt with in my half-century of buying vehicles. In addition to charging exponentially higher repair fees than other shops, they will fabricate problems with your vehicle that aren't (and I have irrefutable physical evidence of this). And even when you catch them in multiple lies and present irrefutable evidence, they dance around the issue and continue to defend the lie. Please do not take your cars for any kind of repairs Classic Chevrolet In Grapevine. I took my Camaro to the one in Grapevine. I got sick and have been in and out of the hospital. I kept in contact with my service advisor the whole entire time. I owed them 200.00 for the diagnostic that they did on my car. They never sent me any information about selling my car . When you go to a dealership they get your phone address and everything before you leave your vehicle. They never called nor sent me anything concerning my car. So I contacted them in December and said to Steve as soon as I get better with my cancer treatments. I will come get my car. They sent letters to addresses that I haven't stayed at in over 15 years. The kicker is they had my current address and they never sent nothing and they never called me other than to tell me what I needed to get my car. So these sneaky people have been giving me the run around. Don't trust this dealership with your car. Right now I still haven't gotten answers on where my car is. They sold my car . Basically they stole it from up under me. But I am not letting this go . They are some lying thieves. Please don't believe anything they say to you. I have been calling asking about my car. Not me but a friend of mine who was TOTALLY taken advantage of there when he was buying his dream car he was getting a nightmare. First the car was 159,000.00 for a 2025 Z06/Z07 where Reliable is taking $7,000 off on the same car my neighbor bought just the colors were different and my neighbors was exposed carbon. Then not even passed the brake in period the transmission lights on the dashboard come on light a Christmas show. He takes the car in only to be asked if he has an appointment because they are months backed up in that department. !$&@!? This is not the only problem with the car. For $159,000 you don't want your car going straight to the paint and body shop for what looks like the paint job slipped through quality control on a Friday at 3:30pm, because that's exactly what happened. To make matters worse and again a new car, the car done with black and habanero interior, an actual red dip piece of leather was sewn into the interior to pass it off as the orange habanero color. Needless to say my friend got a car that's nothing short of an abortion project gone wrong and all Classic can do and say is "We're sorry (that fixes nothing) and would you like to make an appointment for your car while you can't drive it but make payments on it, basically". I will never shop there again as I have in the past. Thank gosh my C8 ZR1 is coming from the place just east of Classic cause that's a bunch more money than a ZR1 and I'm sure I would be poorly treated there on anything I bought there. read more

Zero stars, they love to waste your time at the cashier when you say something about it to the service manager he just lies and makes up some stuff so he doesn't have to talk to you. To top it off, I paid $1600 to have my brakes fixed. It's been back four times since then because the brakes keep grinding and squeaking and they claim that that's normal. Since then, we've easily spent about 6 weeks getting the run around about the repair. I wouldn't recommend this dealership. This is my second review. My first review was removed for some odd reason. Here is our experience with Classic Chevrolet. We saw a used truck on the website. It had a good price on it and we were interested in it. We had a trade in also. We brought the trade and test drove the truck. We wanted to buy it. We came to an agreement on the trade in value. We shook hands and went to the finance portion. The price of the truck had been switched to about $4,000 more than it was on the ad. Not cool. I asked about it. Our salesman said there was a mistake on the website and it wasn't actually the advertised price. He gave us some BS about a new advertising company etc. We went back and forth about them honoring their advertised price. After getting up to walk out, our salesman said they'd honor the price. Overall, it was a decent place. The shady practice of switching the price was not cool. At all. Then to haggle back and forth about THEIR advertised price was also not cool. If you're not paying attention, they will absolutely rip you off. Good selection, friendly salespeople and pretty easy financing. That shady bait and switch makes me uncomfortable to recommend them to a friend. read more

Classic Chevrolet, Grapevine, TX In December 2024, I purchased a used 2024 Tahoe from your dealership with the help of Chris Onorato. Chris did a fine job. I have worked in major consumer packaged goods businesses for 50 years (e.g., Procter & Gamble). I have never worked with another businessman who returned calls as quickly as he did. I have never worked with another businessman who was more proud of his company, or more intent upon representing his company well such that the company's already fine reputation would be maintained or enhanced. The vehicle was as advertised, including without scratches or dents or chipped windows. I give Chris a 5 rating. I give Classic a 4 rating. This was a more complex purchase for a variety of reasons, and some aspects not directly handled by Chris were good (3) but not a 5. I shopped around to find this vehicle (I am in Memphis), and it was a good value. I would highly recommend Classic to others, including buying a vehicle from out of state which was never seen by me in person until it arrived in Memphis. read more

Bought several fleet vehicles from them (9 total) and their service department has been the worst. All of these vehicles have had transmission failures and all of them have had power steering pump failures. Service department tries to charge for things that's covered by warranty and also tries to do the minimum repair work to get vehicles back on the road. I'm sure once the vehicles are out of warranty then and only then will they attempt to repair them properly but at my expense. I am done with GM and Chevy. read more

Classic Chevrolet gave me a purchase estimate online based on the information that I provided. A few hours later, I contacted the dealership to schedule a time to have my car inspected for purchase. When I arrived, they took my keys to inspect my vehicle and returned about 30 minutes or less later to confirm the written estimate for purchase. After I accepted the offer, we started the paperwork to sell my vehicle. The process is very easy and their staff is very professional. I can't remember the names of the individuals that helped me but I am satisfied with the process and the sell price. If you are in the market to sell your vehicle, do your research and compare more than one dealership to get the best price. Classic Chevrolet could be the highest bidder. I purchased a used truck and the dealership's finance dept. promoted and sold an extended warranty contract by Smart Auto Care. My trust was in the dealership's recommendation, so I bought the contract assuming this Smart Auto Care company was already vetted. If the dealership is still pushing this extended warranty product - by Smart Auto Care, it needs to stop. Stay away from Smart Auto Care - in my opinion. The contract is not a good deal. It's money down the drain. There is nothing smart about it - just read the reviews on this company. Not good. It appears as if the dealership was only concerned about the money made on selling these contracts on the front end - while the actual contract and track record with this company is all questionable. Look it up. Buyer beware! In my opinion. If a company or product is labeled smart, it's probably not. Be smart and stay away from Smart Auto Care products. I fell for it and I learned the hard way. Money down the drain. Even though the Air Compressor went out, a covered event, I got $0 reimbursement under the contract - on a technicality. Don't be fooled. This company is in the business of selling packages - collecting money. Period. - while not paying out on legitimate claims - or paying out just enough to look legit. Bought a used car yesterday at the used cars at Classic. To our surprise they did not print us a temporary registration receipt to go along with the car tags. Found out they haven't been doing it for any new purchases since Monday this week as they told us their ability to register all car sales with the DMV is down. So if you purchased a car from Classic this week, hope you do t get pulled over as your car tags aren't listed with the DMV. They let us leave with the car and didn't tell us until we asked for it today and found out they knew but hid it from us so must have hid it from everyone who bought this week. Called other car dealers and were told they won't let you leave the lot with the new or used car without that paper in your glove compartment until your permanent registration comes by mail in about 30 days. Biggest Chevy dealer in the US. What a bunch of fucking liars. Now we can't drive the car. read more

We test drove this car listed online for "$25K" after driving halfway across Texas to come see it. We saw cars exactly like our trade in same year make model trim 4x4 number of accidents and previous owners for sale by other dealerships for $16k+ ...We got offered $9k for our trade. We still owed $24k and Ended up financing $43k even after a $6k down payment...then they got us with a warranty with Ally Financial (thank god) because the moment we were done signing the paperwork and before I even drove off the lot the check engine light magically came on. VERY SHADY! We worried the entire way home about if It would even make it home...highly disappointed I have to wait for my new car to get out of the shop to be able to enjoy it. Walked away with $3k More in Negative Equity and a vehicle that needs to go to the shop worse than our trade in did. Thanks For Nothing! Put a deposit down on a car on July 5th. One became available Monday. Responded immediately that we were interested and would be there at 5:30pm the next day (less than 24 hours after being contacted). We were told this was too late and this vehicle was first come, first serve, even though we have a deposit down and have been waiting over a month. Now, Classic has gone back on their word about refunding the deposit too! Instead of an easy chargeback, we have to wait for them to mail us a refund, all because they chose to offer a car that wasn't actually available. This would have been our 5th purchase from Classic and we were cash buyers - they don't respect customer loyalty at all and are constantly playing games and trying to trick their customers. I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the service that my wife and I received at this dealership. We had made an appointment with the service department on Wednesday, Feb 22nd. My husband took the morning off so he could drive me home. We asked the technician when the car would be ready and they said they had no availability and that it would need to be kept until the following Tuesday before a tech could look at it. Why the hell did they schedule an appointment with us the week prior to have the car serviced on that Wednesday if they had no availability for two weeks? Why did we take our morning off to drive from Frisco to the dealership if they couldn't service the car for another week? The technician then said we could take the car home with us and they would have someone call us when there was room for the service to be done. We scheduled a service call for Tuesday and, unfortunately, we have yet to receive any communication from the dealership regarding our appointment. We've called and have had no response. This lack of communication is unacceptable, and is extremely disrespectful. We will never do business with Classic Chevrolet and highly suggest others to take caution too. read more
