This is for the SERVICE DEPARTMENT. My 2018 BMW 750Ix (43k miles) was on limp-home mode, I took to the service department without digging into the codes myself. They diagnosed the following needed replacement: injectors #1 and #5 (quoted $3402), wastegate actuator #2 ($2055) and all spark plugs ($707). They bid all three jobs separately (which includes removing all covers, gaining access) when all three jobs were in the same region, for a cumulative MINIMUM price of $6164 plus taxes. Injector #5 was fine, didn't need replacement, only #1 did (obvious, as only plug #1 was fouled, all others were fine). Tech misdiagnosed #5 due to misfires, that were caused by the original coil packs needing replacement. I bought $1200 worth of parts, worked on car 12 hours, and it's now PERFECT. One of their techs could have done the job done in less than 8 hours, even taking their time and a long lunch break ($1200 labor). If they charged DOUBLE the price on parts from what I got, $2400, you'd STILL get a total bill of LESS than $4k. I can't address their sales team, but I can say with absolute certainty that their service department will happily rip your face off, without compunction. Better to use Dubbles or somebody else. This review is regarding the SERVICE department. If you don"t read any further all you need to know is avoid them AT ALL COSTS!!!! We have been taking our BMW to them since we purchased in 2018. Our experiences were never great but because of warranties on the car we were committed to taking it to them. However this last time took the cake. From beginning to end it was a complete nightmare. Kerrie at the front end has never been friendly, acts as though my questions, concerns and needs are unimportant and quite frankly beneath her and her communication is subpar at best. The service techs will find issue with anything and everything and the overall management is practically nonexistent. We should never have to remind them that we have a warranty on parts nor should we EVER have to fight to have that warranty upheld. Charging for gloves, oil mats and washer fluid that I never asked for is in poor taste for any establishment yet alone a BMW dealership!!! Oh and the cherry on top??? The 3% service charge to use my credit card with no warning!!!!! Completely classless. They might hold the BMW name and status but behind it they are managed like an unethical used car dealership. Angie was SUPER easy to work with and very organized. She told me exactly what she needed from me, set expectations and met the expectations. Did not try any sleezy Stealership-type tactics (i.e. fear mongering), no upselling me, just gave it to me straight and provided info so that I could make an informed decision as opposed to trying to make the decision for me. However, perhaps the best part was when I had to use my rim and tire insurance 7 months later and couldn't find my contract. I called, left a voicemail and moments later received an email with the contract and an apology that she was on a Zoom call but heard my voicemail and wanted to get my contract out to me ASAP. WOW! Walked in and no greeting from the 2 sales men. Chipper receptionist looked up from phone to do a mild greeting. She indicated to the sales man sitting literally a fingernail away and he looked up and gave a mild greeting ( mild greetings must be the company policy) Showed him the cars on my phone that I liked and he said one was sold and the other available. He pulled it around for a test drive and we went out. We chatted but he really did not use the opportunity to sell me on the features of the car or the benefit of their services. "You won't be able to take possession of the car for about 3 weeks due to a recall" are u saying that u work at a BMW dealership and don't know about a recall from Nov 2017??? I have another vehicle so I said no problem and left a deposit check. Today I called around 3pm for an update as I still have to do more paperwork and he gave me the " I was just gonna call u" sure yeah right!!! He proceeded to tell me that he has a great Acura with even more bells and whistles than the BMW and that it would only be a mere $20 extra a month with a longer term. What??? I looked up the car and It's $4,500 more than the BMW. So I decided to read some reviews and check the BBB ratings. NOPE! Not doing it! I called and cancelled. Purchased used car from dealer 2011 pathfinder with a warranty from Jay Simon. Had a rattle sound and took it to Nissian for repair after 3 months of owning car. The dealer informed me that the drive train , suspention , exhaust and engine compartment was completely rusted out and the warranty would not cover abything. The suggested i get ride of car they would not work on it. After contacting dealer and Jay the suggested I see what legal recourse I have. I basically have a rust bucket that is potentially dangerous to drive. Would not purchase anything from them they trick and deceave consumers Here is an update: 10/13/2017 I have contact dealer multiple times. I was looking at purchasing a used BMW and contacted BMW Of Reading via phone and email, as I live out of state. I had questions about the cars service history, it's condition, etc and requested pics and other pertinent info. I never received the promised info so I contacted Kevin Pitts, the GM. I must say, at this point Kevin was straightforward and made sure I received the necessary info, along with his "best sales price" After reviewing the info and multiple emails back and forth I decided to drive the 75+ minutes to view the car. Upon arriving at the dealer the car was just being finished getting cleaned up, which was expected. The salesperson pulled the car up for a test drive, at which point I noticed her there was no gas and waited 20 more minutes while she got gas (again not a big deal but not convenient either) We took the car for a test drive and upon driving it I realized the car had nearly 6,000 more miles than I was led to believe and was advertised, both online and in the emails I received, which in this case was a big deal given the age and my plans to drive the car minimally, if purchased. When we got back to the dealer I asked what the best price would be and was told I was already quoted it. I asked to speak to the Used Car Manager, Jay Simon. Jay arrived and his demeanor was not very inviting and it was obvious his appreciation of customers was lacking. He said the error in mileage was insignificant and refused to move any more on the car. At this point we were $600 away from a deal, which I pointed out and he still refused to budge (It was also 2 days before months end) To reiterate, I drove 90 minutes to look at this car and expected the mileage to be 63,000 (not 68,500) Jay continued to downplay the mileage saying it wasn't a big deal. I again made it clear I'd but the car for $600 less which was a very fair price for the car. Jay again said no. At this point, I got up and left. I contacted the GM via email, explained the situation and said I'd buy the car If they'd move $600 more, nope. He said Jay, the Used Car Manager, had the authority to "make a deal" I presented a different scenario. I asked if a customer returned a leased car and it had ~6000 more miles that allotted would it be insignificant.... This I was told, would be "different" let's not forget, going over mileage on a lease is at least 0.25/mile which would be $1500.00 My point is simple, if you want to do business with an honest and trustworthy car dealer STAY AWAY.... Kevin was at least professional, Jay on the other hand made it obvious his big head outweighs his sense of business and earning customers isn't his strong suit. I purchased a "certified preowned" car from them at the end of June before my 30 day warranty was up the car started smoking ... check engine light came on plus the oil light. I called BMW of Reading in January after looking at a pre-owned 2017 BMW M2 I found online. I reached Jay Simon, salesperson, and setup a time to look at the car. Upon arrival it had already been cleaned up (in the dead of winter!) and ready for a test drive. I was interested in the car, but made Jay work for my business. After several rounds of discussion, we made a deal and I was handed off to Michelle in finance. Michelle also worked with me to get the best deal on an Ultimate Care warranty and made financing a breeze. I drove away very happy - but my story didn't end there. There were a few items missing from my car including the second key fob remote, and Jay came through on every promise and went to great lengths to insure my happiness. It is to my disappointment, once again that Tom Masano Enterprise (specifically BMW) has let me down. I took my car to get my tires replaced only to find out that my car was ransacked with all my items in my glove box disheveled and many items missing. I kept a second wallet in my car only to find that it was gone with $500 in gift cards, my work badge missing, name brand cologne and sunglasses gone... yes, even my sun glasses. The service manager has repeatedly denied this from happening and has done nothing to rectify or try to come a resolution for this incident that has apparently never happened in the 7 years of employment. There are no cameras outside the building where customer cars' sit over night, leaving them vulnerable to theft/damage. I am still waiting to hear from the GM on this incident, which you would think would be their priority to call a customer once something like this happens to one of his dealerships. There is no set mitigation plan, nor training on how to handle these types of situations, besides awkward silence over the phone line and repeated denial that staff would never do something like this, not saying they did- could be negligence of the car not being locked? Who knows. I was told to file a claim with my insurance company on an incident that happened while my car with in possession of Masano staff. Moral of this story, I was once again let down by Tom Masano Enterprise. Whether it's sloppy work at Mercedes or theft On the premise of BMW. AND the only reason I had to come to BMW oF Reading was because I had flat. Until there is a proper protocol, don't take your business here, or even if your car is warrantied take it to BMW of Lancaster! I have filed a police report for this incident. TBD... read more

I am a Washington State resident, but Eric, Steve and Angie were willing to work with me through the phone to make the process easy and less stress-free by helping me coordinate the sale as well as the shipping process from PA to WA. I stopped in to BMW of Reading on a Saturday afternoon to inquire about the 230i and M240i...I was half heartedly greeted by a woman at the reception desk who had purple hair and was wearing flannel leisure pants. I asked to speak to a salesman and was then greeted by Jess Kreider. He did not seem very interested or eager to earn my business, I asked about the 230i and M240i...he said they didnt have either one in stock and didnt know when they would be getting any in...The conversation was awkward...with silences....it almost seemed like I had interrupted him. I mentioned I saw some 230i's and M240i's online at other dealers and he sounded surprised to hear that. I was promised a call on the Monday-salesman said he would check on the arrival to see if any were coming in stock. I gave him my cell # and never got a return call. I saw a car that this dealership had and since the car with this exterior/interior color is not that common I decided to make time on my way of a business trip to see this car. I arranged my travel to do the trip a day earlier on memorial day to have enough time to see this car. I talk to the sales person couple of days before and he said the car is available and I asked him to let me know on the morning of memorial day if it is still available. long story short he text me that the car is available and i rent a car and drove 80 mile there. Saw the car and test drive it and like the car. When the sales person went to find out if the car is certified preown or not they found out that the car was sold couple days ago. This is the most ridiculous dealership i've ever seen. Given the fact that they are tiny and they may have less than 100 car on the lot and 4-5 sales person and a tiny repair shop this shows how poorly it is managed that even the sales person doesn't know the car is sold and they have to waste one day of my time and 80 mile drive from philly each way and the cost of gas and rental. I wonder if they can not even manage such a small delaership how people can trust them with what they do on their car. read more

A month ago, I had an oil change from this dealership and I was impressed with the customer service. There was no wait time to get in for service which is unheard of at most BMW dealerships. They did a good job with the oil change but did not perform BMW's signature service that includes vaccuming and a car wash. Corners were cut and I was HIGHLY disappointed about this and also my car was returned to me dirtier than how I gave it to them for service with oil marks on the hood and trunk. 2006 Maserati Spyder - Buyer Beware I wanted to purchase a 2006 Maserati Spyder they had for sale. The salesman portrayed this vehicle as being in great condition which convinced me to obtain a pre purchase inspection from Maserati at a cost of $300. The Maserati inspection revealed that the car was in need of $14,000.00 worth of repairs. Then they has the audacity to want a copy of the pre purchase inspection report for FREE! When I requested they meet me in the middle and pay for half of the cost of the report I never heard back from them! read more

I went there to look at a car recently. When I got there they told me the car was at the body shop for some minor touch ups. I left my number for them and waited for a call so I could go test drive it. I called them a few days after I left my number and they said the car was still at the body shop which would mean their body shop sucks or there was much more wrong with the car than I was led to believe. Having just purchased a used Toyota Rav4 from this dealership last week, I highly recommend that you have your own mechanic review any used vehicle before purchasing. My son bought his first vehicle from this dealership (based on my recommendation to buy from a reputable dealership, rather than a third party), and after just 28 miles (the drive home) we noticed the car smoked significantly when started after sitting in the driveway for 5 days. Immediately upon noticing this, we contacted the dealership and were informed that the vehicle passed their service review / inspection, and although confirming that it smoked on cold starts (we returned the vehicle immediately so they could check it out), they indicated it was a used vehicle and therefore they had no responsibility for any repairs based on their limited warranty. Specifically, they said we should have noticed it when we test drove it. Interesting enough, the vehicle was sitting out front both times we test drove it, so it wasn't a cold start. You can decide if this was by design or not. I have my own opinion. In any case, they told us to bring it in for a diagnostic, and after leaving it for the week, and confirming it was smoking, they wouldn't agree to evaluate the problem further. When asked about their diagnostic, they said they did a "visual inspection". I already knew it was smoking...I have eyes too! Do not go here! I bought an extended warranty for a 4 year old car purchased. Well I had problems with the car, called them 3 times with no response. Basically they took the money and ran, no service after the deal. I decided to sell the car and take a loss. I called the warranty company to see how much I would get back and to my surprise the dealer never sent in my warranty information or a check for payment. So they held over $2k while I paid interest for about 3 months till I cancelled and demanded the check. I have no idea if they ever would have sent it in if I hadn't called and how many others warranty payments could they be holding? High end pricing, low end service. Our car experienced a flat in a run flat tire. This dealership did not have it in stock. They took 5 days to repair it, during which time the battery light somehow was activated. This light has never been activated before in this car. The dealership couldn't explain why this happened. They then needed to keep the car another day to recharge the battery. They could not offer us a loaner car, so we ended up paying for a rental for the 5 days. When I asked Carrie in service about the level of service, she indicated this was what we could expect from this dealership. We will not return. read more
