We are honored to have Chef Benny in our neighboring town! The only reason to eat sushi in Cedar Hill. Remarkably Fresh and incredibly addictive. Any chance we get eat sushi, we are here to order takeout or dine in. The tuna and salmon sushi are some of the finest around. The incredible roll (minus cream cheese) is fantastic. A runner up is always the emperor roll. Kiddos enjoy the spicy tuna roll, spicy california, and regular smoked eel with teriyaki sauce. Trust, only hubby eats this eel thingy. LOL! Service is always great. However Friday nights are always busy. Service can be slightly slower than usual on Fridays but so worth the wait in my opinion. I have never made reservations nor have we attempted to do so. We love coming here; never disappointed. But here is rated close to the infamous Wycliff location; wonderful sushi spot too. Some of the best sushi that I've had in the Cedar Hill area. I normally have to venture to Mansfield or somewhere in North Dallas to get good sushi. The service was good and the dining room was not loud or had a bunch of kids lacking noise. Will definitely be back. read more

Uhhhh...... why is there glass in my sushi is a sentence I never thought I'd have to say. This coulda been serious, but literally the first bite I took into my salmon roll I felt a crunch and stopped... I was like... wait is there a bone in here? Nope.. it's not plastic either, it's glass. Maybe glass got into the rice cause that's what the glass was covered in... all in all, if you don't want cuts in your mouth or down your throat and intestines/stomach, maybe find another place. The sushi was great here. The service kinda lacking but it may be them trying to recover from Covid and not having enough staff. They are "checking temperatures" but the guy with the thermometer wasn't even looking at the temps most of the time. I don't know, the guy greeting people upon entry was rather lacking in personality or manners. They had a busy dinner crowd so it took a little bit for our waitress to catch up and get our order, and then it looked like an owner or someone came in to help get food to tables. Overall great place to get some great sushi. Ample parking. Clean bathrooms. They were spacing tables so we were social distancing. Check it out! read more

Everyone is so pleasant! I really enjoy the modern Asian decor and lighting inside. Every time I come I'm greeted right away and served. They offer both booths and tables for dining in as well as the take out option. There's a nice sushi menu with a plethora of options to choose from. Everything is freshly made and served in a enticingly delicious visual manner. They have a small bar (seats 4-6) and offer a nice selection of liquor and beer. I recommend trying the chicken roll for those that aren't really "in to sushi " and the shrimp tempura roll for the shrimp lovers. read more

We ordered a variety of sushi rolls and had some of the miso soup, along with edamame and tempura shrimp/veggies as our appetizer. So good! Very displeased with the food on this visit. Have been ordering here for a couple of years now and this is the first time I've had a bad experience with my food and service. Stopped in for lunch and ordered a spicy tuna roll, spicy salmon roll along with a few others and nothing tasted fresh. The salmon and tuna was not tasteful at all. When we sent it back we were then told that because of the added sesame seeds that we would be charged for the full meal (mind you, we did not eat any of it). When asked if this was listed anywhere, I was told that this expectation was not listed on the menu and the current menu is being updated as we were told that prices were also increasing. Just a heads up to whom ever reads this, if you place an order and add any "customization" to your meal and it's not to your liking, you will still be charged for the full meal, regardless if you want to return it on not. read more

If I could do zero star I would. I ask the person to who took my order was was in the house soup. I get home and it's nothing but broth. No green onions. When I picked up my order I asked the lady is my wasabi and soy sauce in the bag. I get home and nothing! I called after getting back home and explained the issues, they did put someone else on the phone I explained again. Finally I explained for the 3rd time and he tells me he is not giving me a refund because they are condiments and they are free! Then told me I could drive back up there and bring the food back even though I live in another city... don't recommend at all and I will be sharing this on all my social media platforms and to my family and friends .... It's strange when one of your favorite places closes and reopens with virtually everyone still there except the original owners. The restaurant is BN Sushi and Grill, now, but the menu is pretty much the same, although revised and improved and so is the food. We don't make too many menu departures off the beaten path of our favorites. I nearly always order the Lunch Special Sashimi Bento Box. (Tuna, Salmon and White tuna with 4 piece California roll, salad, 2 Crab Rangoon, plain white rice, miso soup and an orange). My husband loves the giant bowl of Tom Kha Gai or the Thai Green Curry. We usually share a well stuffed spicy tuna roll. Occasionally we'll spring for Tempura. It all makes us happy. The service is fine. The sushi chef is doing a beautiful job. They still have moderate pricing and are always friendly. We still love this place. read more

We have been here many times in the past. Today was a real disappointment. Food was mediocre at best. Before it was always fresh and delicious. Not sure what happened but was a truly disappointing experience today. Salmon was cold and old in my Salmon Teriyaki. I had to remind the waitress twice about it. Should have just forgot about it like she did. Our sushi rolls were not uniform. They came out lumpy and like the filling was squeezed out when they were cut. Not prepared and presented with flair like in the past. Maybe they were having an off night. I'm not sure if we will try again after today. read more

You guys I was absolutely repulsed and I couldn't eat anymore..my server informed the manager that I only wanted to pay for my soup and soda and the manager yelled at me and said "you know what your banned from here Get Out" and told me that I keep making excuses not to pay ...I said umm EXCUSE ME you have a bug problem here how is that ME making excuses! We got pork dumplings to start, they were very good. We got Mansfield rolls, spider rolls and California rolls. That's usually what I get at any sushi place. The rolls came pretty fast, I thought the spider roll was best, it's a soft shell crab roll basically. The Mansfield roll was just okay and I liked the California roll. The waitress told me they are related to Suzushi in Mansfield, that's one of my favorites sushi places, this place isn't as good as that place but it's pretty good. This was my first time here BN Sushi & Grill and was very disappointed with the service and food. First of all I ordered a steak teriyaki bento box and sushi roll. To be transparent I had half of the sushi roll and had like 2 pieces of steak and few spoon of rice before I notice that my shrimp tempura had like a bug stuck on it! Yea that definitely ruin my appetite to continue. Next thing the waiter came over and told me he think it's a parcel that is stuck on it. Then he picked the tempura up and picked it apart. To say the least they offered me $10 off the bento box and at during this whole time not one of them had apologize for the issue! This be my first and last time coming here. As he was walking, he was carrying a big spoon and used it to spank a baby that was sitting in the corner. He then walked back to the kitchen and on his way back, he looked at me and the other diners with a disgusted look as in that he didn't care. The last 5 times I've ordered to go they've left out parts of my $100 order. We get to go orders like almost every weekend and have for years, it's typically on point but lately they keep having new employees who don't know the menu and leave stuff out when packing orders. I always leave a $15 tip on to go stuff for them but at this point I'm beyond frustrated with the constant struggles with new staff and missing items from my orders.
