The owner of My Best Friend is very nice and all the groomers there are so detailed and also nice. My yorkies have gone to heaven but now i have this Maltese-chihuahua that's blind and even though i live in Los Angeles, whenever i travel to chicago to visit family, i bring my little blind dog to get groomed at My Best Friend because i trust them and because they do a very good job and listen to my requests. I always remind them she's blind to prevent any accidents and they are very cautious with her. Yesterday the groomer told me my little Eevee " is an angel, such a good dog." And yes, my dog loves being brushed and groomed because she used to be a homeless street dog before i adopted her and she appreciates the love and care ppl give her. Even though she's blind, she felt comfortable at My Best Friend and allowed them to groom her, which shows that they were gentle and loving towards her. The groomers are also very good at letting me know when she's done because i have to wait for her since i don't live in the area. But driving to Forest Park to get my baby groomed is so worth it. I have been taking my dogs, and my parents' dogs to My Best Friend since 2007 i believe. That's how i know who is the best for my fur-babies. Eevee before and after picture included. We waited weeks for the appointment and we live about 3 towns away, but the experience was worth the wait time and the drive. We dropped him off at 9:30 and he was ready for pick-up before 1 pm. He was not caged for a whole day, like some dog groomers do. We got exactly what we wanted: a bath, a nail trim, a summer cut and a face trim. Reggie is not a "show dog," Nevertheless, the cut is sleek, sporty, cooler for summer. His little face was expertly trimmed. He can see better and we are happy because the "feather" marking at the top of his head was maintained. The staff was kind and professional, according to my son, who picked up Reggie. We will go to Yuppie Puppy again and perhaps do more add-on services (express the gland). Warm thanks to Jill and her team for their kindness and professionalism.

When I took him to the groomer, they kept on insisting over and over that he needed to be shaved and I told them over and over I didn't want him shaved. Finally today he got some matting and the groomer said he would try to get it out. He said it might be a little shorter than I wanted. I said OK. When the dog came out, I did not recognize him. He looks entirely different and very ugly. In my opinion. I barely know him as the same dog. I can hardly relate to him because he looks so different. It's as if I bought another dog. This is not what I wanted. I will never go to this groomer again and I advise that if you don't want a dog shaved down to its skin that you don't either. The dog looks like a stray picked up off the street. Terrible!!!

We tried another groomer a few months back which was very dramatic and upsetting, so I was very nervous for this test drive with Bubbles. However I decided to take a chance with Bubbles & Brushes. I brought my puppy in for full works. He is a 14lb Shichon (it is cross between Bichon Frisé and Shih Tzu). I love how my baby looks. He is nice and fluffy and face is perfect. When you drop off your pets you can see their facility, it's an open floor model, they are not hiding anything. I love that they set a time for you and then you come back as soon as he's done. My pup seemed less stressed after this groom when we got home and was playful right away. They were even able to do a mohawk!!! I am definitely coming back, I believe we have found our new groomer!!! Thank you for being there, Bubbles & Brushes, and doing what you do, we all can tell that you care as well about our fur babies.

I dropped her off and was called 40minutes later stating that they were done but was unable to clip here finger nails because she was frightened. It was understandable. I picked her up and grabbed her in a rush due to me being on break for work. Once I got home, I realised that they actually cut her nails and lied because they hurt her. I noticed there was dried blood on her paws. I will not be returning and would not recommend their services. The workers could of been honest; I understand that mistakes happen but they should of owned up to it.

It would be great if she had more volunteers so Ellen can keep helping & take in more cats and get more adopted. I met Ellen after someone highly recommended Catvando on Facebook for cat trap rental. Ellen gave me a quick training for best practices for catching a cat. Then after I caught my scared and homeless neighborhood cats (4 cuties) she had a very economical spay and neuter w vaccination process that saved me lot of money vs. taking them to our vet. I was able to get couple of these cats adopted by friend's of my friends which was a win win for all!! Anyway, because of Catvando and Ellen I was able to save four cats in two months that are in good homes! Overall, I love to but can't list everything great about Catvando and Ellen or else this posting would be endless! Please join Ellen and be a volunteer, please, to save more cats; I did!
