Loved this place for a long time. Recently, my doctor put me on a strict diet for health reasons. No gluten and no milk. My daughter who is gluten-free gets their gluten free wrap all the time. Unfortunately, for me today my sandwich got mislabeled and I ended up eating gluten and dairy after avoiding those foods for over 3 months. I called the store and requested to speak to the manager to let him know. The person who picked up the phone said he was very busy. Lucas, the manager did answer the phone but really did not know what to say. I was very disappointed how this was handled. Just discovered a new place near my home. It is a bar, restaurant combo with TVs on the walls. Their specialty is good sandwiches and beer. We ordered their turkey and avocado sandwich and an Italian sandwich. Both were huge and full of fresh ingredients. For those who are on a diet, the sandwiches are big enough to share. This place was my go to for sandwiches...their hot beef is usually great and they are pretty accommodating despite the high price. Nevertheless, I could tell the beef they used in my most recent sandwich was subpar. I could taste it, but in my foolishness just kept chewing. Stomach hated me that night, with nonstop diarrhea. My favorite Board & Brew location. You have no order one of their French Dips. Not only is the au jus on point, you have to ask for their horseradish on the side. But make sure it's on the side, as it's crazy over the top hot! It's probably the best horseradish I've ever had. Such a bummer! I don't know if this was a rare occurrence, but the girl handling the food orders at the counter was so rude, ruined my experience. I ordered 5 sandwiches for my friends and I and after the girl called my name, she left the bags on the far side of the counter for me to reach and grab. After, I had to call her over to ask for some sauce and she tosses the little cup of sauce at me. Couldn't just set it down? I thank her regardless because I won't be rude just because she's having a bad day but this was a terrible experience. I clocked out of work at 7:30 and had 30 minutes to make it to this store. I tried placing an order online but I think because it was too late, it was not working. Lucky for me, they take orders over the phone!! Got there 10 minutes before closing and asked the worker if they were going to close the patio and he said probably not because too many people there. I got the Baja wrap with a side of the special sauce, and my mom got a Cobb salad with spicy ranch. My wrap was delicious, and they really loaded up the chicken today. My mom and I both loved that the chicken was well marinated and perfectly cooked with a bit of smokiness from the grill. The Tustin location is in a mall with grocery and other eateries. There are seating both inside and outside in addition to bar tables. You can order at the counter or at the beer bar. I got the turkado ($10.95) with sour ($6) and my Bf got the spicy beef ($11) with stout ($6). The turkado came on sourdough with hefty portion of Turkey and avocado. This was the first Board & Brew I went to when I finally heard of the chain and I honestly never looked at subs the same way again! What's different about this chain than others is that you can actually taste the freshness of ingredients and it doesn't break the bank one bit! From hot subs to cold subs, their quality stays consistent. My only complaint is that when I had the beef sandwiches, there'd be moments where I'd get a fatty/chewy piece of meat that I couldn't chew down. Now I stick to the chicken and turkey which never seem to fail. Every location takes a spin off the local, beach-sub vibe. This one in particular though is probably the spaciest of them all with an outdoor patio. Regardless of if you place the order to dine-in or takeout the food is ready in at most 10 mins from when you place the order. It's hard to find a place that still sells good food, let alone good sandwiches for $15 or less, but this spot is definitely one of them! read more

Run, don't walk if you're feeling their tap list. There's 3 tvs inside for sports viewing. Two at the bar and one in the corner on the opposite side of the bar. Food is good. Sandwiches seem simple but pack a lot of flavor. Service was great. The guys at the register and bar are incredibly friendly. Didn't have the feeling of being ignored at the bar which was nice. I've been wanting to try Board & Brew for a long time especially since I used to drive by the one in La Habra. I noticed this one close to my home so my wife and I decided to check it out last night. Upon arrival, staff was very kind. It was very loud as there were some local customers enjoying their beers inside. My wife ordered the grilled cheese and I order the Turkado sandwich. We then ordered two beers from the bar..i can't remember what it's called but it was a mix of orange and pineapple cider (#13 or #14) and it was absolutely fire. The Tustin CA location is in nice location, looks good and comfortable. But the food and service definitely not up to par compared to other locations. My sandwich was sub par and well overpriced especially when they ask you tip when you place your order, not after get your food. Avoid tipping until see your food and then be generous at the table, otherwise you'll be like me and over-tip and get a sandwich that wasn't worth half the price they charged. read more
