The store itself has a casual atmosphere with several TVs showing whatever game is on that night. FOOD: I ordered the turkey club which came out to around $11. The sandwich was just average, not bad by any means, but nothing memorable about it. Portion was a little small for $11 but not egregious. French baguette was a little hard in my opinion and the turkey was a tad salty. Maybe I'm at fault for ordering a rather basic sandwich but I was expecting it to wow me a bit more. Was excited to eat at this location, since I haven't had in a while. I ordered the California Delight, add banana peppers, and chicken noodle soup. The bread was great, and loved the cream cheese. And it's also one of the most veggie stuffed sandwich, which I love. But did not put the banana peppers on that I paid to add. I am so shocked I haven't tried Board & Brew till now because this place was amazing! My boyfriend decided to get lunch here this past weekend before we went to the movies. We got the Baja Beef and the Turkey Deluxe. Both sandwiches were so yummy!! The flavor from the steak in the Baja Beef was so flavorful and addicting and the sunflower seeds from the Turkey Deluxe was surprisingly good too. You guys also need to dip your sandwiches with their sweet & sour sauce. It's a game changer and in my opinion, the secret to why these sandwiches taste so bomb. We were heading to a movie at the District and complaining about the lack of decent food offerings when we decided to pop into this little shopping complex. We've driven past it several times and thought it looked fun with its pseudo western motif so thought - why not? Let's really see what they have to offer. Driving around a bit, we found this place, which they also have in Anaheim Hills where we live, so we were familiar with them. I'm not sure why though, but we liked this place better. It just seemed better laid out and we liked the larger patio area. The people seemed friendlier? Maybe it's just our perception, but it just "felt" better. We ordered our favorite, 2 beef dips, and 2 drinks. Except to spend just under $15/person unless you get a beer then except a little more. If you want chips, you're easily up to $20/person. It's typical where place your order at a counter, give you cups for soft drinks, and you get buzzed when your food is ready for pick up. We sat outside, waited about 5 minutes, and got buzzed. (Well, electronically, not on beer.) The sandwich was excellent! In fact, we almost could have split one there was so much meat. In fact, it overpowered the cheese I had to look to make sure there was cheese on the sandwich. The meat was a little dry though so some extra dipping was required. The dryness did cause it to fall out from between the bread making it a little messy to eat. If you want to take some food home, they have tin foil and bags near the garbage can. Not exactly where I would have placed something I'm going to put my food in, but whatever. The tin foil to wrap the sandwich was definitely required due to the meat falling out. Overall, we'll be back next time we see a movie in the area. read more

We love Board & Brews! This was our 2nd visit (first time taking a break from a bike ride off the Santa Ana trail) and this time after a day of Farmer's Market shopping in Irvine. What a treat! We like sitting at the bar (not big but have been lucky to get 2 seats) and chatting with the bartender and other patrons. Mario was on it! Greeted us immediately, very knowledgeable about his IPAs. We had 2 different super yummy IPAs and shared a delicious tuna sandwich. Especially love the bread there. Fun atmosphere, clean, great service, nicest patrons. Took advantage of this and ordered the blonde honey and the prankster (both on the lighter side and highly recommended!!) Decided to also grab food here and opted for 1/2 sandwich 1/2 soup combo (Turkado and chicken chili)... Turkado (sliced turkey sandwich with lettuce, onions, tomatoes, and generous portion of avocado was right on the money) and chicken chili has a nice kick to it! Ever since COVID hit, my personal experience with service in the food industry has not been that great. I am a picky eater in the worst way, because a lot of times I don't know exactly what I want or like; however, I know what I don't like. I usually end up with something I don't end up liking because I started to feel stressed and rushed. ENRIQUE at the front provided the BEST service I have had in a long time. He explained how to order and that we can custom order whatever we want. He made an extra effort to make sure he placed our order correctly and with the quickness, but somehow did it without rushing us while having a demeanor that was welcoming and understanding. I was already having a stressful day and tried convincing my husband to NOT go to Board & Brews. I am so glad my husband convinced me to take a chance. I pondered whether to rate Board & Brew four stars or five stars. The tie breaker was the great selection of craft brews on tap. This is what sets it apart from the other sandwich places in Tustin. It's a roomy place with indoor and outdoor seating. It was a nice day, so we chose outdoor seating. Sandwich wise, I think it's on par with Jersey Mikes. I chose the Tom's Choice consisting of Roast Beef, Turkey, Cheddar Cheese, and various toppings. Ask for a little container or two of their special sauce. Adding that sauce elevates the sandwich. Beer wise, I ordered the Board & Brew Honey Blond. It was quite good. The drill is you order at the counter, and they call out your number when the food is ready. However, please note if you want to order a beer or two, you have to go to the bar to do that. In other words, it involves two transactions. It was fine, though, and a minor inconvenience. This is a fast casual, order at the counter type, and you order the beer separately from the food. Service was good. - Baja chicken sandwich (3.5/5): solid sandwich, a little bit dry. Still very flavorful. The red/orange sauce it comes with is tangy and sweet, very powerful flavors. Overall yummy and lots going on. - Beef dip (3/5): pretty good, but not amazing. My family and friends arranged a playdate for our kiddos. We thought afterwards let's go have lunch, so we decided on Board & Brew. My son fell asleep on our way there. We took advantage of ordering our sandwiches through their website. It was so convenient for us since we had a sleeping toddler in the car. I feel it's so common for places to reduce in quality when they expand or over time, but that is not the case here. Must gets: -baja chicken. It's perfect texturally and flavor, especially with lots of sauce. -beef dip. This one was new to me but my spouse said it's perfect, and he is RIGHT. This was soooo good and while a whole sandwich might be a bit much for me since it is a pretty similar texture all the way through, this was a perfect half sandwich. People adore their baja beef and for good reason! I used to be a major turkado stan but have since moved over to hot sandwiches, but if you love a cold sandwich this one is exceptional. Came here for the first time, and Rick was super friendly and helpful explaining the menu. We went with the Turkeycado, and oh my gosh it's the best sandwich I've ever had! Board and brew has hands down the best Chicken Cesar Salad in the Tustin Area. I have yet to find another one that even comes close to how phenomenal this Cesar Salad is. The amount of Chicken you get and ratio of croutons and Parmesan is perfect.
