The Good: The staff was very accommodating when I called to board my two dogs. They gave detailed instructions on how to prepare. They have a nice little yard play area and they leave the dogs for less than 10 hours, which was a huge relief for me. I liked they kept of a report of who feed the pets and who walked them. The Bad: I took bedding, it was completely saturated in pee and water, which made me wonder how much they went out or if they were scared. The rooms were super tiny, pretty much just like a kennel. (only enough room for sleep) They fed the dogs the wrong amount of food. Overall, cheap, but not the best fit for indoor, taken care of pets. read more

This is, by far, the best kennel I've ever used for my dog. Because it's small, the Boarding Bungalow really gives personal attention to your pet, and it's one of the only boarding places that walks dogs as late as 10 p.m. (just like home!). I also like the fact that they play with the dogs many times throughout the day in the outdoor area (so they aren't stuck inside the whole time their owners are gone). We used to take our dog to a very nice, all-indoor boarding place with a lot more animals, but when we watched him on the webcam, all he did was follow the staff around. If your dog is like mine and likes playing with other dogs but is really more of a "people puppy," this is the place for your pet! read more

I recently went out on a limb and boarded my cat at this location. When I called to make the reservation, the receptionist was very accommodating and helpful. She warned me that they typically do not keep cats at this location because there is not as much space for them as at their other locations. Regardless, she was willing to let my cat stay there and made sure to warn me that he would be in his own separate area away from the dogs. I was a bit concerned after hearing this, but chose to go with this location because the lady assured me they would make sure he was taken care of. However, my concerns were quickly dissipated when I came to pick up my cat 5 days later and he was happy, healthy, and not as restless as when I board him at the vet! They took great care of him and I am very happy that I chose the Boarding Bungalow. Not only was it excellent service, but they are very reasonably priced and willing to accommodate their patrons. Will definitely be boarding my cat here in the future! read more

Boarding is generally expensive and this is one of the cheaper price options but overall we are usually very satisfied. We've only ever used the boarding service, never a bath, groom or trim. Our dog is a Shih-Tzu and is very timid and anxious but seems to do as best as she could here. Between my wife and I, we have used this location for boarding for at least five years; averaging 2-5 times a year. As with any pet service you get lucky with the employees. Some genuinely love what they do and are friendly and others not so much. We find that more times than not, the employees are so enthusiastic and kind towards our dog. The interactions and comments when picking up our dog with these good employees can't be faked, which is reassuring. However, full disclosure, there have been a few disgruntled employees from time to time, but that's to be expected anywhere, unfortunately. Lastly, the longest spread of time we've left her there is three nights and she was fine. She free-feeds and no issues afterwards in regards to that either. Overall, for boarding that's affordable, I would definitely recommend to try and see how it works for you and your dog. read more

My 2 greyhounds stayed at the bungalow while we traveled for Christmas. Loved the Facebook pictures and looked forward to them every day. It's easy to see the staff loves animals. And, when we picked them up, they were much less stresses than at other boarding places. Will definitely use them again! read more

I have taken my dog Ruby to the Boarding Bungalow in Frisco now for almost a year. She looks forward to going for doggie daycare two days a week and is so happy when I pick her up. I have also boarded her for short periods of time, and those times were wonderful for her and me, as I never had to worry about her care. The staff at the Frisco location are so friendly and helpful with any special needs she has. I couldn't have found a better place to bring her! read more

I'm sure this place is great for dogs. However, I would not recommend it for cats. I had to get my place treated for pests and needed to take my two cats someplace for a few hours. I chose boarding bungalow because it was so close to my apartment. I was a little surprised at how small it was but I was hoping for the best. One cat is aggressive with new people so I helped the worker carry them to the back area. I was very shocked when I saw where the cats would be staying. He took me to a cramped supply room/bathroom with one large wire kennel in it. I thought, there was no way I could leave them there. The receptionist was very nice. I told her I was sorry, that I would be going someplace else. Like I said, I'm sure dogs have a great time there but I knew that my cats would not. If you need to board yours I would not suggest taking them to boarding bungalow. read more

We have had Ranger there for Day Care while we are having a little remodeling done on the house. He LOVES it and comes home happy and tired. The staff is amazing!!! He's not great with other dogs, so they work with him to be better. Now he plays with a couple dogs for a little bit! Great improvement! They love him and he really loves going to the Bungalow! read more

This is the BEST place for anyone's "furry babies" to stay at...for a single play date or when you leave for out of town. I've used them for years and have never received anything less than exceptional care for my dogs as well as received superb support from all the employees. The Boarding Bungalow is clean, friendly, and very attentive to your animals. Because it is a smaller boarding location the staff is able to spend much more individual time with your pets and care for all their individual needs. I strongly suggest to pet owners looking for a boarding facility for their animals to look into The Boarding Bungalow. I have never worried, had anxiety, or been upset with our experience with them! I dropped my dogs off for the holiday weekend and paid in full when I dropped the dogs off. When I went to pick them up, I was told I had an extra charge on my account for an extra day since "they weren't told of when I'd be picking the dogs up." I referred back to email confirmations of the price I was told and to my bank statements proving I had already paid the amount in full. They refused to let me have my dogs until I paid this extra, incorrect amount, and when I called management today, they stated that I was charged incorrectly but still have a "no refund" policy and can only give me a credit. This place DOES NOT CARE about customer service and doing right by the customer; they only care about keeping money on their accounts. Beyond unhappy and will never bring my dogs back here again!! read more

Not sure why this place has all these bad reviews. We just moved to Dallas and had to plan a last-minute trip out of town with nowhere we knew of/trusted to leave our dogs. After calling around to different places, I received the most reassuring information from Samantha at the Boarding Bungalow. We informed her of our nervous dog and she took on the challenge with lots of kindness and patience. Our pup was adjusted within the first day! We have never ever had that happen at another boarding facility! Our three dogs were so well taken care of, we were kept up to date with a photoshoot of our dogs twice a day! (how cute is that?!) I called to check in throughout their stay and the staff did not seem bothered by it, they always gave me detailed and thoughtful updates. I think it's safe to say we found an amazing boarding facility that specializes in the comfort and care of pets. I am so grateful to Samantha and everyone else at the Boarding Bungalow! It's not every day that you find people who are just as nice to dogs as they are to their paranoid human owners! 5 STARS!! read more

I boarded my dog there twice, and the last time he came back not quite himself. He was scared to approach his food bowl if anyone was near, he was scared of sudden hand movements, and he was not his normal happy go lucky self. At first I thought maybe he was just tired from all of the playing, but it took 2 to 3 weeks for him to return to normal. I think someone may have been mean to him but I cannot confirm this suspicion. I called to express my concern but I was dealt with rudely and no apology. Dallas Location-I moved and was forced to find a new day camp. This place is pretty disorganized. That was my first red flag. When I called to make an appointment I got the run around from a clueless employee. I asked for a supervisor who told me the opposite of everything the employee said. Still, I wanted my dog to enjoy day camp and this was on my route to work. When I got there, the manager was nice and seemed to like dogs. She showed me the play area and the kennels. I was suspicious when I saw how tiny the play areas were. No way more than 4-5 dogs could be out there at a time. She assured me of the 10 walk policy and said they rotate the dogs. It did make sense so I took her word. After using them several times the bottom line is I don't feel my dog got many "walks". When I went in she was lethargic and always in the kennel. Seems odd that no dogs are on a walk in the play area when I pop in. Also from using day camp as much as I have in the past, I felt she didn't act as if she had played all day. I suspect the pets are stuck in a kennel and maybe get 1 or 2 walks at best. Why waste your money, just crate your dog at home and save $20 +tax! read more

I brought my puppy here for over a month for daycare. He had so much fun, the staff was great and the place was always clean. Courage would come home smelling so nice, I guess cause they have a grooming area. Though I never actually had them give him a bath. He would wake me up early and jump right into the car to go to daycare. They helped me work him through his confident issues and through his first fear period. When I brought my other dog, who is deaf and partially blind and very afraid of strangers. They were gentle and worked with her to feel comfortable. I love that group sizes are always small, always 4-7 dogs. They've gotten better at post videos and pictures on facebook. So you can see your fur babies having a good time. Unfortunately due to budget restriction I don't bring my dogs here currently. Through they aren't expensive by any means. And they did their best to work with me on pricing, my dogs have to kennelled separately my older dog gets annoyed with the puppy. I love this place and will take my dogs again when my budget allows. read more
