DO NOT BOARD YOUR DOG HERE. This is a hard review to write, as we have been loyal customers to this business (and have loved their boarding services) for many years and many stays. HOWEVER, after I picked up my dog from her last boarding stay from 12/27/2021-12/31/2021, she came back with bruising to her neck and a large hematoma (as diagnosed by her veterinarian). When I called the business to let them know, the owner offered a refund, which I did not take because I wanted to know exactly what happened rather than him giving me a refund and sweeping it under the rug. He said he would review the video footage of the 4 days she was there and get back to me...he called back within a few hours to let me know the footage didn't show anything....which lets me know he didn't actually review it, because how does one watch 4 days of video that quickly? I called again and again, and none of the staff have said they saw anything happen or know anything about an incident (either from another staff member or dog). Either my dog was injured by a staff member themselves or by another dog during the daycare playtime and a staff member didn't see it OR didn't report it, all of which are unacceptable. The owner did not seem to care about the well being of my dog which was a slap in the face as a loyal customer. We will not be using their services again, and I would encourage others not to use them either as the quality of their care has gone downhill. read more

To begin with, the building and surrounding grounds are not well kept and the building has bars on the windows. That should have been my first clue to run but they charge $50 per pet if you don't give 24 hour notice to cancel. The facility smelled horrible and my dogs looked terrible after being groomed. They smelled terrible and the groomer paid no attention to my requests. The prices are ridiculously expensive and the service is terrible. If I could give a 0 star review, I would. Do NOT board your dog here. I was fooled by the reviews but now I see they're more so related to grooming not boarding. I dropped my Yorkiepoo off on 08/02 and picked him up on 08/10. I reached out several times and asked how he was doing and was told " oh he's doing great ". When I picked him up he was throwing up in the Uber on the way home. Since last Sunday he has continued to throw up black stuff. He is not been himself and hasn't pooped or eaten. The smell on his breath is horrendous! I figured it out he was eating poop. In the over 8yrs I've had my baby he has never done such. When they gave me his bag of food it looked like they hadn't been feeding him so maybe that's why. I called and was told "oh he had diarrhea for a few days" which wasn't told to me when I was checking in. The owner still hasn't reached out supposedly because he's on vacation but do not patronize this place. We have been getting our baby groomed at PM for the past 3+ years. They always do a great job. Otherwise I wouldn't be returning ;) It's a quick 5 mins from my place so very convenient. During teh Covid years, this was one of the few groomers who were operating and had appointments. And I like that the groomer Miranda has been there for years and is familiar with our baby. The absolute best experience I have ever had with my dog. Pearl is a black lab and the sweetest little girl I have ever had. Miranda did an amazing job with her. I am not coming back to petzmania and does not recommend. I came here pretty often to get my cat's nails trimmed. I called today to verify if the trimmer was in today and they said yes. I went up there to get it done, and the guy at the front desk asked me if I can come back another day and that it's not a good time. Extremely disappointed. When I took my dog for her first groom at PetzMania at 10:30 a.m., the groomer came out to discuss which grooming services I wanted for my dog. The groomer said they were not busy, so my dog would be ready in 1 - 1.5 hours. (i.e. by 12:00) I returned at 12:00 p.m. As soon as I walked in the door, I heard my dog barking incessantly. She had been kept in a kennel for 1.5 hours waiting to be groomed. The groomer told me it would be another HOUR until she could get to my dog!!! They said she could have been put in the small dog area, apparently it never crossed their mind do so. I took my dog home and WILL NEVER EVER take her to PetzMania again! read more

So I have been living in Dallas for about 4 years and I had yet to find a groomer that I like. I have a very sassy Schnauzer, and I admit, he isn't the easiest to work with. In my desperation to find a groomer that didn't give my dog yet another Boosie fade, I searched the #dallasgroomer hashtag on Instagram and ran into Miranda's page. Her work was amazing! I immediately messaged her inquiring about her availability and she responded within minutes and was very kind and accommodating. I got on schedule a few days later and BOOM, my fiancée picked up my baby (who has moderately matted in the chest area due to wearing jackets in the winter) and he came home with the CUTEST Schnauzer cut! Fluffy legs, skirt and his beard was intact; exactly what a schnauzer cut should look like. A true master of her craft as she didn't shave him completely despite the mats. This has been my experience at every groomer I've been to (well over 10 of them) in Dallas: I take him in to get a schnauzer cut and my dog comes back BALD and having way less mats than what he had today. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I am happy to announce that I no longer have to look for a groomer in Dallas. I have found her! Ben (the owner) has a great team here: David: the manager LOVES dogs & it really shows. He's passionate about his work & really goes above + beyond for every customer + dog. From memorizing their names to giving them extra lovins, he's always hands on + making sure your pupper is being well taken care of. Dustin is also super friendly & is super attentive to each dog. They make sure to give your puppers some 1:1 time each day, which I think is AMAZING- this kind of dedication to their job is STELLAR. Love, love, love the staff here. Other great things: - Onsite grooming services & self serve dog bath center - makes bath time a breeze. I was trying to find a doggie daycare last minute and called about four different companies before I got a hold of Arthur at Petz Mania. He was extremely helpful and set me up in the system right away even though I had never been there before, and was able to take my pup same day. I didn't realize how difficult that was in Dallas. My pup had a great time at the daycare and I was able to give him a bath myself on site for like $16. They have little tubs setup where you can wash and dry your dog without the hassle of doing it at home. All in all a great experience! read more

We've used Petz mania for both grooming and boarding and have always had a good experience. They have cameras on 24/7 so you can check on your dogs, and watch them play. The groomers do a great job and are very patient with our two little dogs that get mats very easily. The pricing is very reasonable. read more

Our dogs come back from boarding wore out and happy. At other places they came home with runny poo and looked scared. Rescued a puppy from Operation Kindness and his paws were not trimmed at all. I had so many scratches. Due to covid no one is really taking walk ins. And my arms could not take the scratching anymore. I called a lot of grooming shops however Petz Mania was the only one that was taking walk ins in my area. All I can say is that ever since my 6lb poodle named Kash has left this place from being groomed, he hasn't been the same. He has multiple cuts and bruises on his body on top of razor burns from being shaved down and just today he had to be sent to the hospital to be examined and treated because he was so traumatized, acting abnormal and still in pain. This was our first time getting groomed here and Kash will NEVER go back. Very disappointed with the response I received from Joshua the groomer and the Owner of Petz Mania. After seeing his cuts and bruising and being informed of his systems they still have not called to check on Kash to see if he has made any progress. All they did was make excuses and pretend they had no idea he was being cut and burned while being groomed. Of course they issued me a refund seeing how angry I was (they had no other choice). But because of their poor behavior, this review had to be written and shared publicly. Kash is a very active and happy pup and the last few days he has been the complete opposite. The groomer is excellent. The management not so much. I called 10 days before when they would reopen to get a grooming appointment. He said they wouldn't be open till May 4th. I asked could I make an appointment in advance he said no. When I called back on May 4th they were already full for the week. And his attitude was oh well. This place is a complete joke. They do not take responsibility for negligence (poor grooming causing blindness). Arguing back like a middle school student on social media, editing comments and flat out lying to try and cover their tracks. If you love your pet, do not send them to this place. It's not worth it and if you have a problem all they will do is list off all of the precautions they take etc, which again is a load of BS just trying to protect themselves after the fact instead of making things right. Your manager Samantha was the one who said a dog named Jax was playing with Maddie when she was injured. No one has addressed me in reagrds to Barley playing rough. Your manager never called me yesterday, I have the phone records to prove it. What number did you contact? My 3 dogs were dropped off for Daycare. We have used this facility several times. Today my dogs played outside for the first half of the day. It started pouring rain and my dogs were left outside for hours in the rain. When I checked the cameras of the indoor playroom there were several dogs inside but only my dogs outside. When I called to ask why my dogs were left in the rain they couldn't give me a legitimate answer. First they said it's not raining "that hard and it's not that cold". (I could see the rain hitting the puddle on top of the overturned doggy pool on the webcam) Then they said it was because the were some dogs with behavior issues inside that they had to separate. When I asked if my dogs were having behavior issues they said NO. When I said my dogs are going to be soaking wet, they said "we have towels". When I asked why my well behaved dogs have to sit in the rain because misbehaving dogs needed to be separated inside, they said because they didn't have enough room. I asked to speak to a manager, they were not in. When I asked the front desk attendant to speak to a dog handler for more clear information, he said they don't speak English. They finally brought my dogs indoors and "moved the misbehaving dogs into kennels". They should have done that in the first place. Still no manager has contacted me. One of my dogs had her ear ripped open a few months back and came home bloody. I was understanding as dogs can play rough, paid to have her ear stitched and was gracious that they gave me some free day care to cover the $250 vet bill. I am a patient person but this was enough. I could leave my dogs in my yard to sit in the rain for FREE not $49 to get soaked in your yard. They have a 16 year old child working the front desk and fielding complaints. A simple explanation and a phone call from a manager would have gone a long way. read more

I started taking my dog here for daycare and grooming a while back. Each time I have been there is a new groomer. They seem to have a problem keeping staff. I have had good haircuts from all 4 of the different groomers they hired but it is off putting to not have consistency. My BIG complaint about this facility is that I bring my dog for DAYCARE and grooming but he has never even seen the outside facilities. A couple of months ago when I took him he was to be in "daycare" until early afternoon and then they would have him groomed and ready to be picked up at the end of the day. I was very busy at work that day but did keep periodically checking the cameras. I never saw my dog. I called several times and got no answer. I finally got an answer and the girl said "ummmm i don't know I just got here. let me check." She came back to the phone and said "oh he has been playing all day and was just taken to grooming." He was not seen on camera ONCE all day! I voiced my complaint on the phone and again when I picked him up. They were apologetic and seemed genuine so I gave them another try today. I received a phone call at noon to tell me Buster was ready to be picked up. I said well, as I explained this morning, he is there for daycare all day then grooming in the afternoon and pick up at 5:30. He said oh ok well I was just letting you know his grooming was complete. I watched cameras over the next 45 minutes. I never saw my dog! I called and a young girl answered and I asked where my dog was and she said "ummmmm I don't know i just got here. let me go look. if he is crated i will put him in the play room." I said NO! Go see where he is and tell me where he is right now. She said "well...ummmm yes he is crated BUT he was just put in there a minute ago as she finished grooming." I said that is a lie. I was called an hour ago to tell me he was finished in grooming. I said this happened to me last time. What is the problem? She said "ummmm I will go get him and put him in the play room. Well she did just that. He was placed inside in the play room. He stood at the entry barking and looking for someone. It wasn't that he didn't want to be in there. HE HAD NOT BEEN LET OUT ALL DAY TO GO TO THE BATHROOM! So I am observing the cameras and it is a nice day and I see all the other dogs outside playing and having a great time which is what was intended for my dog. I was so furious that I left work and went to pick him up. The owner simply said "oh, ya sorry." I said so he never went outside? He said "oh we don't put them back outside after grooming or they will stink and get dirty." I said BACK outside? He never went outside. He was crated from 7:45 am until he was groomed and then back in the crate until 1 pm when I called to complain. He simply told me what my total was and said "oh sorry". That was it! UNBELIEVABLE! So he had to spend the rest of the day at work with me. Thanks for nothing Petz Mania! read more
