The service was excellent from start to finish, and the atmosphere is cozy and low-key, perfect for a relaxed meal. We started with the garlic knots, which were delicious, soft, warm, and perfectly seasoned. For the pizza, we tried two slices. I didn't love the sausage topping (I'll stick to plain cheese next time), the crust and sauce were still on point as always. Another great visit to boardwalk pizza. Every time I come here I am blown away by how awesome this place is, the severice was really good and the pizza was great. I started my meal with there garlic knots as an appetizer. They come with this red sauce which tastes delicious this was almost enough to make a whole meal. Lol but I came here for the pizza. We have been customers since '05. Boardwalk has always been our favorite since we came from upstate New York, as did the owner. Last night's order to go was a large Stromboli and large meat and mushroom ,pizza. Sitting down to eat with our company last night, we realized something was definitely wrong. The crust was thin and dry, with very little cheese and sparse mushrooms. ( Yes, My husband picked it up on time) The Deluxe Stromboli was lackluster and not as full of meats as usual. I hope this was a 'one off' rather than , I fear, a new owner. The lady who answered the phone today when I called to ask what happened , said, they were training someone new. I would be greatly surprised if it was a new trainee without proper supervision! This will not work if it is the new normal for Boardwalk. I surely hope not! read more

I visit this location a couple of times a month. The pizza, pasta, salads, Stromboli, wings..... all of it has been consistently good. They have indoor and outdoor seating and the staff is always amazing. If you are looking to order to go on a weekend, I would definitely call your order in because the line gets hectic. The crust is perfect - not too salty, with great flavor and outstanding crunch. The calzones and baked ziti are excellent - they put fresh herbs in the ricotta, which nobody else does, but everybody should! The Boardwalk is good, but not great. We showed up a little over an hour before closing and were the only ones dining in. The garlic knots that came with our meal were old. They were cold, tasteless and hard. It wasn't as if we arrived right before they closed, so fresh knots would've been appreciated. We came here specifically for chicken parmesan, which we were told they were out of upon ordering. We ended up getting chicken alfredo and baked ziti with added sausage for an up charge. Our salads came out first and both were pretty good. Our two pasta entrees were good as well, but not something I'd come here specifically for. Hygiene and Cleanliness Issues! * Server was friendly and pleasant but definitely needs some training in the hygiene/cleanliness department. * Food was hot and tasted good as usual, but the cleanliness issues we witnessed has made us decide not to come back. * Server grabbed our cups (with our straws) and took them away to refill them, without asking first. Let me at least remove the straw for safe keeping. * Server overfilled my glass and brought it back to the table with the liquid spilling all over and onto the table. Server said nothing, didn't seem to care, server clearly saw it spilling over at the table. I had to ask for paper napkins to clean up the mess they made. * Server touched my wife's straw when filling her beverage. Again, server didn't seem to notice or care. My wife used a new straw after that. * Server proceeded to use the dirty broom handle and dust pan, then touched plates and cups without washing their hands. * Server brought out "clean" plates that were greasy and clearly not cleaned properly. Had to ask for new plates. Dishes not being cleaned properly, this speaks volumes to me. * Server took our pizza away to put it into a box. A nice gesture, but I'd like to do that myself to ensure hygienic practices. Reference the next two points below. * Server put wax paper x 2 into our to-go box with their bare hands... again, server didn't wash their hands. * Server just dumped our pizza on top of each other. A local favorite. The food is simply great and the service is always fast and prompt. Parking is plentiful. Friday and Saturday nights are the more busier nights. You might wait for a few minutes but the wait staff usually will turn over tables quick and efficient. My go to items are your standard pepperoni and cheese pizza, mozzarella sticks, tuna or Greek salad, chicken or eggplant parmesan, calazones or lasagna. There are plenty of items to choose from.
