We had the half chicken (massive), with flavorful creamed spinach, portobello crisps (incredible), macaroni and cheese with bacon and cheddar (tremendous portion), cole slaw (excellent), corn muffins, and brisket. First of all, what restaurant or take out doesn't take credit cards?? Cash only...super inconvenient...I went in and ordered two orders of brisket. I am on the keto diet so sauce and sides aren't an option ...My bill was 19.00 and when I went to pick up the two orders, there was zero weight to them. When you go to a bbq restaurant you think lots of meat...over stuffed sandwiches etc...When I got home I look at what they gave me....5 thin slices of brisket in each container...Maybe an ounce or 2 max for 19.00!!???? Ordered food for my family and everything was really good. Everything BUT the portobello chips! Stay AWAY!!!! They are fried mushroom bites. Sounds good, and they were! Unfortunately I got massive food poisoning about and hour later. While eating them I felt they were undercooked and was wary and it was my mistake to continue eating them. I'm not sure if that was the cause or if it was that they were not fresh or if I just simply got a bad batch. In any case I Just wanted to put caution into the wind to steer clear of those. Tried their takeout recently. Rib portion was very small and the chicken was only two pieces. The sides were ok and the cornbread very tiny. Their newer menu eliminates the family meals so we had to order everything separately. All in all, the food was tasty, portions were a bit on the small side, and the tab was a bit expensive. With all the available items on the menu, we'll have to give it another try. However, for the money, I think Holy Smoke has larger sized portions. read more

What this place isn't - a BBQ place. Only 3 menu items brisket, st louis ribs (not babybacks) and pulled pork claim to have been smoked. I dont know where the smoker in this joint is but you can't smell it in the store or taste it in the "smoked" meat trifecta. Brisket sandwich was soggy and the wings were overcooked. Love this place but tonight I had a not-so-pleasant experience. Arrived there at around 6 pm , there was one girl working, phones ringing off the hook, etc. my boyfriend and I then begin to place our order. She was a bit short with us but we were understanding, seeing that she clearly had her hands full. After waiting for about 10/-5 minutes we decided to take a seat. We waiting longer watching people come in and walk out with their food before us (mostly call ins) finally after 30-40 minutes later we got our food. Paid for it, left a tip and then remembered to ask for extra blue cheese. The girl working seemed very annoyed and told me it was an extra $.75 which is not a big deal but I felt like it could have been compensated since we waited for a very long time and now our food is cold. What knocked a star off for me was the pulled pork could have used just a bit more sauce - it was good but a bit dry. Also I would recommend you do take out here and not dine in. My favorite items are the Santa Fe wrap, the portobello crisps, the pork bowl and their macaroni and cheese. It's all good.
