    Eating on napkins!!
    A.J. C.

Waited 5 mins for server to greet us. Asked for kids menu, never got em. 20 mins to get water!! Asked for rolls only got biscuits. Asked for side plates. Never got em. Took 4 mins to get honey while our biscuits all got cold. Food of course was wayyy slow. And it wasn't even busy - surprisingly dead. Only 2 other tables were sat! We unfortunately left the Bagley rd location b/c of a 30 min wait & drove here which had no wait. Can't believe they don't have any new soups. Same 3 old options. The food took an hour to be delivered. We only ordered simple side items too as we had 4 kid's orders. The manager did come over upon request & apologized for the very slow service considering we were the only table left when we finished. She took care of the bill and we left a tip. She was the only bright spot.

I'm watching my niece and nephew and decided to take them out to dinner. The original place we had gone to had the wrong time and was unfortunately closed when we got there. They were looking forward to getting some breakfast and I looked on Yelp to find another place. Thank God Bob Evans was across the street. We walked in and were greeted right away and seated. Our waitress I didn't catch her name was very friendly and very quick with drinks and bringing out our orders. All of us opted to get a breakfast. I got the southwest avocado omelette with home fries and toast, really good. The kids got plenty o pancakes. The pancakes had whipped cream so they were happy. Aside from the toast being a bit dark everything was good. They even had little snacks at the register, the kids were happy they had tic tacs. I also got a huge cookie. The prices are decent and we will definitely be back.

It's supposed to be 2 western omelets and not supposed to have cheese on the potatoes.

This review was going to be much different. We called in to order 2 western omelets, one with cheddar and one with american and home fries and one side of sausage. What a challenging call! The girl totally screwed up the order. I had to explain multiple times I wanted to buy a side of sausage. She kept asking if I wanted cheese on the home fries I explained no; the cheese is for the omelets! Get the food home, one omelet looked good but she put cheese on the damn potatoes anyways. The other omelet had nothing except cheese!? The portion of potatoes was soo small compared to the other one too. $28 later...I called to complain. Mia the manager apologized and personally brought 2 fresh orders to me! That was great customer service. I still feel their food is a bit over priced for what u get, but Mia definitely turned this bad experience to a positive one!

    All drinks are almost finished

The waitress was not coming to the table if we didn't go to get them. Finally we could order the food and then it was a long waiting. Have waited for more than 20 minutes and still waiting...

Extremely disappointing. Sausage and bacon came out completely burned and dry. French toast didn't fare much better. Only saw the server when ordering our food and when she brought us the check.

    Candied bacon! Yum!

I guess it's ok for fast food. Had breakfast, eggs were runny and unappealing.

I dined in with a college friend during a weeknight in early May 2026. It was an impromptu dinner…read morebut I'm glad that I was able to finally visit this Yemen-based restaurant. My friend and I were the only ones in the big restaurant upon arrival. I noticed about 2 different people during the night come in to pick up their to-go order. AMBIANCE -- Cultural music plays in the background. I love all the colourful photos on the wall and the unique light fixtures. FOOD -- I ordered the Mixed Grill ($24.99) - 1 Kafta (beef), 1 Tawook (chicken), and 1 Kabob (lamb) which was served over white rice with 1 tomato, 1 green pepper, and 1 big onion. I don't like onions so I set that aside. The Mixed Grill was a good meal for dinner. It comes in a large plate so it definitely was too much food for me. I gladly took a to-go box home with my leftovers. All the meats were cooked well and tasted good. The lamb was my favourite. The rice served appeared to be a rice pilaf. The complimentary lamb soup was served lukewarm (almost cold) and I didn't like the taste. It's an acquired taste for sure. My friend and I commented that maybe if the lamb soup was warmer that it would have tasted better. I also ordered the Maloog bread as a side dish which is similar to Indian naan bread. The Maloog bread would have tasted better with some butter on it. I asked for butter but the server said she didn't have any. SERVICE -- Complimentary lamb soup was offered and complimentary tea is provided which is nice. The tea is up at the front counter so you serve yourself the tea. The service was good but could be better. The young woman from Afghanistan greeted us at the table with a toothpick in her mouth which was kind of funny but still slightly unprofessional. She laughed and apologized but I said it was fine. I asked for a glass or cup of water and they don't offer that service which was odd. I had to buy a bottled water for $1. Buying the water didn't bother me as it was just $1 but I'm used to most restaurants just offering water on the house. The young hostesses did check on my table a few times which was good. I can see myself ordering food from Dar Alyemen again but I'll get takeout instead of dining in. The neighbourhood where this restaurant is located is a bit secluded. I do love that this is an ethic restaurant that showcases an immigrant business. **** GOAL of 250 reviews in 2026 - 85/250 total reviews in 2026 - 926 total Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 15 May 2026

Recommended to this place by a friend…read more There was complimentary tea and lamb soup--both quite flavorful. Got the yogurt drink, lamb, side salad, and the malooog bread. The yogurt drink wasn't for me as I'm not used to yogurt that's salty and not sweet at all. I liked everything else. The lamb was so tender and fell off the bone. There was quite a bit of rice that came with it, that we ended up taking it back. A small sized side salad was bigger than I had expected, and it was a crunchy refreshing side to the fatty lamb. Loved how fluffy and big the maloog bread was--definitely worth the price, and perhaps my favorite. Service was decent. Parking available as it has its own parking lot. Overall great food, would consider coming back!

Hatfield's is located in a strip of shops on Lorain Road in Kamm's Corners. The restaurant has a small patio out front, a nice old school bar along one wall, a bunch of tables and an open kitchen in the back. The decor is casual eclectic Americana. Nice and dark with a comfortable feel. The menu is definitely Southern BBQ influenced, one side is breakfast, which has been rated as one of the best in Cleveland. The lunch and dinner menu is straight up comfort food. As a pescetarian the only entree is the Catfish and Grits, so I got an order to eat and one to go for the next day. The Catfish and Grits came out looking and smelling great. The catfish is smaller nuggets heaped on top of a generous portion of creamy grits with a great sauce, cheese and fresh jalapeno slices. The dish was delicious, perfectly spiced with just the right amount of heat. The jalapeno slices provided spiciness and a welcome crunch to the dish. I was so happy that I not only got to try the dish, but even better is having a second helping for the next day. Service was attentive and friendly, the chef/owner came out of the kitchen to check on the few guests in the dining room, always welcome to see a guy who cares about his restaurant and is proud of the food he is putting out. I would suggest giving Hatfield's Goode Grub a try, if the rest of the menu lives up to the Catfish and Grits it is one of the better local casual restaurants. Well worth your time.

So I pulled in here, hoping, hoping, hoping. walked in was greeted - for a change. Was seated right away and server was over in just a minute or two. I got Christina with a K. I asked for sweet tea less than medium ice and she came back with just the right amount of ice. I always get banana bread and it came over Perfectly prepared and the butter wasn't like a rock. The chicken salad fruit platter and the chicken salad sandwich are both back so it was an easy choice today. since there was no cooking involved I figured it would be over in no time, and it was, very nicely showcased--blueberries were huge telling me that they were not going to be sour and bitter The strawberries were. chunk sliced, and there was at least a whole banana sliced off to the side. Chicken salad was well seasoned and had just enough mayo or whatever they use and topping everything off with honey. roasted pecans was a good touch Kristina is obviously a seasoned server and and checked on me often, was very attentive and brought me all the accoutrements for a to go bag including a to go cup/straw for my second sweet tea. I'm very impressed with these changes and I'm hopeful that they can retain my business my reviews and increase the star rating.

My group were supposed to go to Habesha Ethiopian restaurant for dinner and book club but they were closed so we found ourselves at PJ's Irish Pub. AMBIANCE -- Dimmer light but not too dark inside. Typical, traditional bar look and feel. Lots of booth tables plus a center bar area with chairs around it. DRINKS -- I don't drink alcohol so I can't comment on their drink offerings but considering that this is an Irish Pub, they must have lots of options to choose from such as beer. FOOD -- Their menu is large with dishes such as pot pie, tacos, meatloaf, etc. I didn't want to spend a lot of money so I just ordered 2 beef tacos that came with tomatoes but I forgot to ask for it to come without cheese. So, I had to remove the shredded cheese from it. There was a lot of cheese on the tacos too. The tacos were fine - simple enough and the beef tasted just right. This pub is probably more known for their drinks but I may be wrong. Everyone on my table seemed to enjoy their dinner. I noticed someone ordered meatloaf, another for a chicken pot pie, another had a big plate of broccoli with something else (the broccoli looked tasty), and so on. SERVICE (5/5) -- our group was treated well. We were greeted upon walking in plus our server took our orders at a reasonable time. PARKING -- Not the best like most places in the area because it is street parking only but I was very lucky to find a street parking spot right in the front of the pub. You can probably park at the shopping district parking lot across the street where a gas station is located. Overall, although I wasn't expecting to even visit PJ McIntyre's Irish Pub on that cold January evening, it was a nice enough experience (mostly FUN because of the book club group rather than the food). The beef tacos that I ordered were fine and a fair price (around $6.50 total). I most likely won't be back since I don't drink alcohol and I hardly visit pubs or bars for dinner. **** GOAL of 250 reviews in 2026 - 11/250 total reviews in 2026 - 852 total Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 27 February 2026
