Way better than the Middleburg location. Got sat right away & water came within a minute. Server was fast & well trained. The magnificent 7 was fine. We subbed the 2 pork sausages for turkey. The meatloaf dinner was tasty, good portion, I subbed for asparagus and a side salad. The salad was a good portion, but the asparagus was kinda skimpy. All tasted good. Service was super fast. We frequent this location about 2 x per month. Today was not the greatest service. Disapoonted at the service. The food was not as fresh as usual , lettuce was wilted and no condiments were presented when our lunch meals were brought to table. Asked repeatedly for butter & mayo & came late, already done with meal. Coffee was luke warm ,I took wilted lettuce off sandwich & it sat left on the corner of our table with our dirty dishes, was there to look at while we ate our meal. I would have expected our server to clear it away immediately as who wants to look -at dirty items while you eat? Also bathroom needs cleaned and soap dispensers are broken :( not happy for an upscale city . read more

Terrible service. Got there around 11:30 am. waited at hostess station for around 5 minutes before someone came and told us the table needed to be cleaned. Like similar chain restaurants, you know what you're getting when you go to Perkins. It's been almost 15 years since I last darkened the door of a Perkins and - if I remember correctly - that one was in Denver off Colorado Boulevard. After being told at the nearby Walmart Lube Center that I was in for a two hour wait, I decided to have breakfast at Perkins and walked a block or two to get there. At 715 am on a Saturday it was not busy but had a decent amount of groups of older friends and what looked like a dozen-strong book club or prayer group crammed around a large table. The menu is large and I settled on a special Bacon Tater omelette that came with hash browns (Holy potatoes, Batman!). Pancakes were also included and when I asked the server if they had pumpkin pancakes that I could sub in for an upcharge, she looked at me for a long minute (I wasn't sure if she was stroking out?) and then offered a flat "no." Just that one word. Hilarious. Once the food arrived, it was perfectly fine. Acceptable. Tasty. But not outstanding. The server also warmed up a bit and became more pleasant. My only issues were these. The syrup containers were splattered with syrup. Those bad boys should be cleaned before every customer and secondly I was given a nearly empty ketchup bottle. So, overall. Perkins is by far my favorite place for breakfast and lunch. We're a Sunday regular and my favorite Perkins is in Avon Ohio. I love the chicken tortilla soup! And I love they give you your own coffee pot, no one messes up my mixture here! I think the prices and average and the portion sizes above average. Wow. Ate at this Perkins many (30?) years ago when it opened. Swore we would never go back. So sorry we forgot about that. Ate there tonight. My country fried steak was so over cooked it crunched. The hash browns tasted like dish water. More if a smell than a taste but they were also cold and damp. Then the final straw. My wife had pancakes. When she went to add syrup the syrup container was broken and would not open. They brought us another one after a long wait. My wife poured it on her pancake stack and grey water came out. We were shocked. She then poured some in her plate and eventually the color changed to something like syrup but it was still mostly water. After we complained the server said they must have washed the syrup containers again and another couple also complained. Disgusting. They didn't even apologize. I'll give it another 30 years before going back. Or perhaps not. read more

When I was seated, it was at a dirty table which had to be cleaned. Chair I sat in was sticky, eww. The restaurant was busy (100pm on Saturday), but it still was a bit dirtier and more unorganized than most. Waitress was pleasent enough but did not offer or refill my drink until right when I was about to leave. Actually, the best part was the meal itself. I had grilled chicken over rice with asparagus. The grilled chicken was moist and flavorful, while the aspargus was cooked just right and delicious. The price was also ok. Wife had the 55 Plus Buttermilk Pancakes with bacon, said that it was OK. I had the 55 Plus Two-Egg Omelet. Very small (about 2 inches by 5 inches) with the ingredients sprinkled on top. They didn't even say bye or good luck. Very disappointing how rude these people were. My mom went into Perkins to see if her phone was there, & the workers acted very irritable to my mom. My mom just got her phone, & obviously she was already having a bad day. These people did not need to make it worse. I am so absolutely disgusted & infuriated. A Saturday evening in September, our family of four decided to take a drive to Amherst and visit Maria's Field of Hope. As a family we enjoyed ourselves and decided that Perkins would be the place to stop and eat. We arrived just before closing, everyone was friendly. I met my parents here for lunch. We ordered off the breakfast menu because we felt like having breakfast for lunch. They have a lot pf new items worth checking out. Usually this place is a typical old person place since they have a 55 and older menu, but this place is for everybody. The menu for breakfast has a lot of options and even healthy ones. I ordered the egg white skilled (can't remember exact name) but it had mushrooms, potatoes, onions, and tomatoes. I really enjoyed the meal. I added hot sauce (they have Frank's hot sauce here). My dad ordered 3 pancakes with bacon. He ate everything lol. My mom ordered a waffle with whipped cream and a side of bacon. They now have one of those Coca-Cola machines that can make any flavored pop you desire. I ordered a diet ginger ale with cherry flavoring. I love that they have this since it's hard to find a variety of diet drinks other then diet coke. Our waitress was friendly and was busy with numerous tables. I have a Perkins pancake house within walking distance from where I live but I dont eat there. I was out in Avon and decided to try that one. Went at 6 o'clock on a Friday, parking lot was not crowded, all employees were wearing masks and all guidelines put forth about distancing were being followed. the food was served quick, warm and good and the prices were no different than they were before all this started. Again the only problem I found at this restaurant as I found in all the restaurants I've tried so far since the reopening are the patrons. There wasn't one mask on one patron in this entire restaurant. That did not make me happy. I walked in with a mask I did not take it off till I was seated and when I rose to go pay my bill I put the mask back on. That's how it should be done, on my humble opinion. Observed six twosomes and two singles besides me. If restaurants fail during the next six months of re-opening, It will be the fault of the patrons because WE will be less inclined to spend a lot of time at a restaurant when none of the patrons are observing one state of Ohio rule. read more

I haven't been to a Perkins for a long time, but decided to stop in for breakfast. The menu offers a number of items. Service was attentive. I ordered an omelet and unfortunately was disappointed. When I order an omelet, I am used to having ingredients mixed in with the omelet and having it look and taste fresh. What i received looked like an egg patty wrapped around ingredients.
