After reading the reviews of this location, I was really nervous to meet up with a friend here over Christmas break. However, we had a great time! We met up at 10 o'clock on a Saturday morning and got a table immediately. The restaurant was clean and our food was great. Our server even went the extra mile to bring my kiddos a cup of water when she noticed that their milk was empty, I thought that was excellent service! Ordered curbside. Although the staff was nice I felt like the food was not up to the usual par. It wasn't packed as nicely and there were no butters or the usual extras. They even forgot the cranberry sauce even though it specifically said I ordered it on the receipt. The store is a half hour from where I live or I would have driven back for it. 2 couples had dinner here on Thanksgiving Day. Yuk. There was a 30 minute wait even though the cars were few and 2/3 of the tables were empty. The menu was limited to 2 turkey dinners $17 and $13, which no one ordered, and a few breakfasts. All of us ordered the country fried steak and eggs. All of our food was COLD and seemed to have been cooked prior to us leaving home. The hash browns had rancid oil. We are locals and used to eat here at least twice a month. Never been disappointed before. My opinion is that they would have been much better off closing the doors with a sign, "are short staffed" rather than disappointing 4 regular customers that won't come back. We are traveling cross country, happily stopped off to see a "farm to table" restaurant. Awful. My broccoli had slugs and it seemed to be an inconvenience for the manager to take it off the bill. First time to this location was never greeted by the staff had to wait for 30 minutes or so just for a table no customers it was quiet from the looks of everything this facility was under staffed. Are host/ greeter never introduce her self in a friendly matter, her first line was what do you want, I had to get up and ask are waiter/ Host for a to go box. One thing I noticed was the dinning room was dirty and not clean food and crumbs under the table, bathrooms needed to be checked. What drawing people away from this location. I would not trying this location again if I'm ever back in the area if these improvements are made. In a small town right off of interstate 71, we found this Bob Evans. My husband and I both like the chain, though one I reviewed was substandard. Not the case here! Our waitress Jessica was attentive, cheerful and responsive to our need for drinks and busing dishes as we finished. The restaurant was clean, no complaints there. Our food was prepared as ordered, and promptly delivered. All in all we had a great Bob Evans experience. May visit this restaurant again if the need strikes while traveling through. read more

Don't cast stones, you've been to a chain restaurant too!! Limited choice in this neck of the woods today for lunch, best option was here. The hostess station was unattended for a few moments, as was the cash register, but shortly a lady arrived and sat us. After inquiring as to whether or not it was real, the lady got their $9.99 turkey dinner special that came with soup or salad, entree with dressing and mashed, and one of a few very limited deserts. She got the salad as did I. It's relatively nice with tomato, onion, croutons, cukes and iceburg, oddly enough they don't have a light or fat free option for dressing!!! WTF? Wasn't that option popularized and made widely available in like 1980? Some people that order salads are actually trying to eat somewhat more healthfully. I guess Mr. Evans does not care! Based on nhis pic plastered on the wall it's understandable. They were out of their heavily featured whitefish entree, which was my preference as it wasn't breaded, so I opted for the flounder, The flounder had a potato breading and the filet was sufficiently thin that it was about equal parts breading and fish. Not my ideal entree, but reasonably tasty. The lady was a huge fan of her turkey dinner, (breast slices cut from the bone.) They did seem eager to please in terms of substitutions etc, I was able to swap the starch that normally accompanied my starchy entree for cole slaw. Another party seated close to us had a complaint of some kind about their meal, and the waitress quickly offered to secure the help of a manager, and while the offer was declined, she made it a point to have him visit the table and smooth out any ruffled feathers. It was obvious that this was not a move of defense, but rather just pro-active waitressing, That was nice to see. The manager did his best to hand -hold the patrons and all seemed well. We both got the fresh fruit option for our included dessert. Grapes, cantaloupe and pineapple. I hope some day before death to consume cantaloupe in a restaurant that is actually ripe and flavorful. It would seem the odds are agin' me! This serving was actually crunchy through and through and at least two weeks of additional ripening shy of having any flavor! This Bob Evans falls extremely short of my expectations. Usually all I'm looking for at Bob Evans is consistency; I know I'm not going to have the best meal I've ever eaten. Our waitress was horribly inattentive. She didn't listen to what we asked for. My husband ordered scrambled eggs with American cheese, they came out with cheddar. She claims she did it correctly, but if she had checked our food against the ticket before she brought it, she would have seen the error. We asked for water that never came. This Bobs has gone threw a few remodels over the years but, stays consistent. There must be a lot of turnover, I rarely see the same face twice. I'm someone who opts in for the new dinner feature. This week it was the two lemon-pepper sole filets and two sides for $11.00 - a hearty dinner. Entree banana bread was delicious. Husband's Wildfire salad is his favorite (extra dressing is a must) and it was fresh and did not disappoint. My only complaint was the iced tea which tasted like dirty water. Service here is ALWAYS extremely slow. The wait time to get food is at least 20-25 minutes, and the one day a line cook quit we were in there 90 minutes. The servers are always friendly but the problem is somewhere in the kitchen with ticket times. BUT this shouldn't mean the manager or the servers cannot be overly attentive with coffee and drink refills or come to the table and explain that wait times may be higher than normal. This place is so poorly run that we no longer using it as a meeting spot. We took our business elsewhere. Completely headache every time. read more

After being on the road all day, my husband and I decided to stop at this Bob Evans. We were very disappointed. We had three different waitresses, the butter for the rolls was hard as a rock, my husband had to ask for iced tea twice, the fish I ordered was overcooked and the fries were over cooked also. The slaw was good. We NEVER had a waitress come to the table to ask if things were ok. Half of my meal went back because I couldn't eat it. This is the first Bob Evans we've had an issue with. I know it's a chain and I'm trying to consider that when writing this review. I almost never eat at chain restaurants but there were limited options in this area. The "chicken" in my salad was big chunks of white ?meat?, tasteless and spongy. The other people in my party also had the lowest quality beef in their meals. I'm not sure if the food is even cooked at the restaurant itself or simply reheated. Again, it's a chain & people usually expect the lowest quality but the prices are rather expensive for the offerings. Further, B.E. advertises its "farm fresh" meals...Well, if this really is "farm fresh," then this is the infamous corporate farm. I wasn't even going to give this review one star but the service was fine. I'm from Massachusetts but I remember Bob Evans from growing up in northeastern Ohio. Ordered take out tonight. I was told it was going to be ready at 7:20pm. I arrived at 7:25pm, and I was told that it would be a few minutes. I finally paid for and received my order at 8:00pm. This should be a zero star rating. By far the worst Bob Evans I have been to, party of five with five meals messed up. Poor management, we dealt with Gary K. instead of just completely removing the uneaten meal from the check took 45% of the meal off and then tried to offer free dessert. Food is always over priced and poor condition. Always get sick after eating there. Have gone about 3 times and gotten sock everytime. Not a coincidence if it's 3 times and I felt fine going in. Waiter wasn't friendly and didn't say much. Food was half cold. Refills take so long to get to the table you could have your next birthday before it got to you.
