I have to come here occasionally because of work and every time I come here the service and food is worse. Last time I was here(8/7/17) every table around ours was complaining about something. The kitchen must not care at all about what they are sending out. I feel bad for some of the wait staff because I am sure that they are impacted by this. read more

I just had the worst bob evans experience of my life. First my mother and I waited 15 minutes for our order to be taken. Then we waiting 25 minutes for our food to come. When it came it was all cold, my eggs weren't even cooked through, and my sausage was burnt to a crisp. We asked to speak to a manager and she was very rude. They remade our food. My eggs were still nasty but at least they were warm and nothing was taken off the bill. The manager never apologized. The waitress was very nice and apologetic but the manager (a shorter young lady with I believe blondish hair) was horrible! read more

Wait 15 minutes to get your order taken, food brought out was called then overcharged on the bill. Why should I come back?

My wife and I came here for a mid-morning breakfast and had Jake as our server. He made the experience as friendly and enjoyable as the breakfast and coffee! The dude was hilarious and if you get the chance to sit in his section, I would highly recommend it. We have had another server that was great as well...I can't remember his name but he looks like Anderson Cooper's cousin, but cooler. The breakfast is always spot on. Biscuits and gravy here are southern legit! Eggs over-medium are always done juuuussst right. Requests for well-done hash browns are greeted with niiiice crispy hash browns. Just come in and have breakfast. Stop trying to look for the cute hole-in-the-wall, Ma & Pa joint. This is it. They just have more of them...$25 for a few laughs, cups of coffee, and belly full of southern comfort deliciousness. C'mon now... read more

Food was okay. Waitress was iffy from the start and seemed to be bothered she had tables to wait on. Management was awful. My husband ordered fried chicken, and asked to have a leg and a breast (not on the menu that way). The waitress stated no and "I don't make the rules." My husband accepted this and ordered the "dark" and moved on. Two minutes later, the waitress came back and said that yes, the manager would do that. Great! Food arrived... There was an unknown item in my cobb salad...the waitress stated it looked like cooked red cabbage, then the manager agreed. It looked more like rotten lettuce. Cooked red cabbage isn't one of the components - do they even have a meal that has cooked red cabbage? This was taken off my bill, but I was only able to eat half of it. My 6 year old ordered a kid's meal and his home fries were burnt, to which he told the waitress all on his own. She offered a replacement but he declined. My daughter's cheeseburger and fries were without incident. Then the check came. I reviewed it, just like i always do. And my husband was billed for each item he ate - the breast ($3.49), the leg $2.99), mashed potatoes ($2.49) and broccoli (2.49) - totaling $11.46. The original meal was listed in the menu for $8.99. When we asked the waitress why it was listed out separately, she stated it was because he ordered it that way because it wasn't on the menu. (It really would have been fine if she would have stated that it would be a $2.50 upcharge for the breast, but she didn't. Nothing was every shared.) My husband complied and grabbed the bill. (here is where it gets interesting...) The waitress also grabbed the bill. My husband said it was fine and to please let go. The waitress would not let go. This went on for like 10 seconds...and the waitress then got very nasty. She stormed off; we went to the register to pay. Over walks another manager; as my husband begins to explain what just happened at the table, the manager interrupts him and abruptly states, "Well, it isn't on the menu that way." I commend my husband, because at this point, he was pretty furious and the manager was not backing down. Not one apology, thus far. The manager ended up taking $2 off the bill; we paid it. It was then we received an apology. Too little, too late. Corporate has been contacted. We will not be back to this location for a while; perhaps they can better train for customer service. read more

This place can best be described in three (3) words: Pot Roast Hash. As for this location, well it was on right off my route home to Va from Pa, so I stopped by whenever I had the chance and enjoyed the delectable-ness of said Pot Roast Hash. Nothing remarkable about the place - just your standard Denny's or IHOP-type place, but I don't if they stay open 24/7. They should though...God knows if I lived near one I'd be there at 1 in the morning chowin' down on some tasty Pot Roast Hash goodness. read more

The food is good and the staff is always courteous, but the wait times are ridiculous. We have currently been waiting over 20 minutes for some salad, grilled cheese, and Mac and cheese. There were ants on the first table they tried to seat us at. Disappointing me for a Bob Evan's restaurant. read more

I think breakfast anytime you want it is my favorite thing...the new blueberry pancakes are wonderful.

We have enjoyed dining at this Bob Evens restaurant throughout the years. We have eaten breakfast, lunch and dinner many times. The tables are clean and the waitresses and waiters are efficient and friendly. Sometimes we do have to wait, but what good restaurant doesn't experience this? I like the variety of food that they offer on their menu and they do change their menu, so we don't get bored eating the same things. For breakfast, their hotcakes are large and tasty and I like to add a blueberry topping to that. Recently they added the Apple Cinnamon french toast, which is out of this world. Also, their new glasses that look like canning jars are a blast. I would like to see more vegetarian options for dinner, though. read more

Oh yuck. Crowded, dirty, sticky tables with a wait staff lacking even minimal skills. Had to get the table wiped down a second time. Had to beg for silverware and napkins. Food is greasy and uninspired. I want to call it a diner...but most diners have character. Bob Evans is just a place to shovel calories. After pleading for the check, couldn't wait to get out. We will not stop at this location again. We stop in Hagerstown overnight when vacationing. This was the worst service we ever had at a Bob Evans. First it took them over 5 minutes to seat us. They couldn't figure out how to seat a table of 10 ahead of us. Finally took our name because there was a wait. Mind you, restaurant wasn't even half full. We asked to sit at counter and they said ok. What an earful we got there. You could just feel the tension amongst everyone. Two locals came and sat next to us at the counter about ten minutes after we got there. Guess who got their food first? The locals. In the end, took us 25 minutes to get our food. Rye toast was barely toasted, hash browns were terribly greasy and bacon was half cooked. Good place to start a Bob Evans. Best of luck if you visit here. read more

So i've been coming here for the past 2 Sunday mornings for breakfast. I was really hesitant number 1, because it's a Sunday morning and everybody and their mother and their brother always seem to go out for breakfast after church lets out. Well, not here! It was not a ghost town but we didnt have to wait at all when we walked in the door. It was moderately busy. The food is decent enough, it's not good enough to where I would rate it 5 stars because it's typical diner food. Both times me and my guy went we both got the same thing. He got some bacon sriracha avocado hash skillet and I got the country fried steak and we split a cup of sausage gravy and biscuits. The first time, I got hash browns instead of homefries. Big mistake because the hash browns taste like crap. But i got full enough from the steak & eggs & biscuits so it wasn't like i left hungry. But i tried homefries the second time and YUUUUUM! They are so good! We got our bills fast both times and drinks were always refilled quickly. Have yet to try their lunch/dinner food but I haven't been thrilled with it at other locations so I'm not sure how much i'll like this one read more

Service is good. The food is another thing. Chicken noodle soup bland and tasting of chicken fat. Another ordered an omelet. oh plenty big with maybe a teaspoon of cheese. Worst thing which will keep me out of this BE was the fruit flies and ants crawling all over the desert display. An indication of not so clean. read more

I LOVE breakfast places. However this one was very dissapointing. The first time I went an item that should have been included was left out. The second time was only okay. The third and final time I will ever go here the wait was very long, the waitress was terrible. We had to ask her 3x a question she didnt understand so we asked her to please find out and she came back with a wrong answer anyways. And again an item was left off from a meal. We decided to ask a different server and it was then delivered. Finally...we got charged double for tax. Next time I will go anywhere else or make it myself. read more

I warn you against placing a to-go order from the Dual Highway location. They consider their dining in customers more important than customers that are taking out. I ordered dinner for my family on a Thursday evening. I showed up ahead of my pick-up time, so I knew I would have to wait. I didn't mind. I sat down in view of the staff responsible for putting together my order and then I waited for 30 minutes. I had to walk back to the counter to see if they were actually getting my order ready. I learned that everything was ready except for one item, but all of the other items had already been boxed up and left to get cold on the counter behind the cash register. I live only 2 minutes away from this location and by the time I got home, there wasn't one bite of warm food left. Everything was cold. We called the manager, who asked that we give them another chance, so two nights ago we went back. We ordered the exact same thing that we had ordered the week before. I specifically requested that all of my items be left under heat lamps until all of the order was ready. Then they had a rush of people to be seated, and the cashier walked away. I sat down in the restaurant and waited for 45 minutes, walked up to the counter to find that my entire order was ready, and had been ready for some time. It was once again boxed up and placed on the counter behind the cash register. Once again, everything was cold. I do not have a microwave in my home. Strange, I know, but true. I asked the cashier to reheat my food and ask the manager to come out front. I waited another 10 minutes for the food to be reheated. She then asked me if I still wanted to speak with the manager. I told her yes, I would, but after seeing the manager working in the kitchen, I changed my mind. I didn't want anyone else to have to wait for their food because the manager was talking to me. I contacted their corporate office, and will never eat there again. I hope that this review gives you pause before you consider ordering or dining in at this restaurant. read more

Often when driving south we stay at one of the hotels on the Dual Hwy here. Have a sentimental attachment to this Bob Evans as a result. Never had a bad experience here, friendly and quick service, relaxing atmosphere, home comfort food. read more
