Well been awhile. So can't go wrong with breakfast right? New everything breakfast sausage ham scrambled eggs hash browns and hollandaise sauce. Sounds good. Well from the bottom of the pile up i guess. The hash browns had no brown and other than not being raw was all they had going for them. The ham chunks were like the kind toy buy cubed in a package never seen a skillet. Maybe a microwave. The scrambled eggs!! Not sure how you turn warm yellow water in to eggs but they have done it. You know cause the water keeps leaking out of them. No sauce or i just couldn't find it. Over all very tasteless at least the one bite i had before i sent it back. The only complaint this time was that they were understaffed so we had to wait to get a seat for 10 minutes and they didn't have enough people to clean off tables. When there I noticed what I wanted was not on menu. When I ordered I ordered it anyway. (big breakfast) waitress gave me a funny look and I said its just 3 eggs, bacon and hash browns. When we finally got our order she gives me the bill and I noticed she gave me a home stead breakfast @ 10.99 and charged me and extra $1.50 for the third egg and no toast. My coffee was $2.59 ice tea $2.59 my girl friend had bis/grvy and bowl of fruit which the dumb bitch almost forgot. Total bill for that was $30 and some change. WTH. Food was okay. Cheryl Anne hated me though. I didn't want the cinnamon bread bites as my appetizer at 8:30am and she was pissed from then on. I was nothing but polite and while looking through the menu I said "I'm sorry, I'm struggling to decide" and she told me she doesn't care and I need to tell her what I want. Dropped the check with the meals and didn't offer me a refill. Table beside us sat for 24 minutes without being greeted. They were sat down before we got our food. At one point they were greeted and then 10 minutes later the server came back and said "sorry I don't have your waters, I have a 5 top and their joiners won't come. This is crazy" They finally got their drinks when we were done eating. Walking out a server said in front of us, to her manager, "this is ridiculous, these teenagers went from 5 to 7 people, I can't believe this". Okay, I went to this location alone had a very poor experience at this location about a month ago when my bacon was raw and my hash browns that were ordered crispy and cooked on both sides were only cooked on one side and not even done. I told the server and she apologized and said she would get a manager. I watched here tell the manager and he looked over at me then turned back to her and shrugged his shoulders. Never approached me, never apologized. The server apologized several times but no effort was made to correct the problem. I wondered if it was because I had been doing lawn work all morning and looked pretty ratty that day. I contacted the corporate office and complained and received $10 in gift certificates with an apology letter. So yesterday 9-24-16 I went back to this location with my family (against my better judgement) because thats where the wanted to go and it was FABULOUS! The server Jennifer was amazing and the uncaring manager from the previous visit was not there. Everything was hot, cooked properly and the manager even checked on our meal as we were eating. This particular store was outstanding last year but this year it has lost ground. The main reason is our waitress. We always seem to get the same one. We gave her 3 chances. The first time it took her 20 minutes to stop by our table! The usual time for this at any Bob Evans is a couple minutes -- 5 tops. The second time was around 15 minutes. Both of those first times she left our orders sitting in the window... 45 minutes to get our food! And it was cold when it arrived. The LAST time we went there, we got her again (luck of the draw). We waited 20 minutes and then got up and left. I told the hostess/cashier about the incident and she just got a stunned look on her face. I know it might seem unfair to give the whole place a 2-star rating for one waitress, but when you get her 3 times and each ruins your dinner, you tend to get testy. read more

Mediocre food and poor service. We stopped in for lunch today with some friends. We had four adults and five kids. First, they wanted to split us into three tables. How does that work? Second, the kids' food was brought out and they were finished before the adults received their food. Not only was it early, but it was not quite right. The kids didn't get the right sides with their food and their pancakes didn't have the toppings. Apparently the chocolate syrup and bananas shown and described in the menu are optional in the kitchen. No one got them. Third, it took an hour for the adults to get their food. Fourth, out of the four adults, only one got the right food. And that was soup. My burger was something completely different. My buddy's scramble was not what he ordered. My lactose intolerant wife received a scramble covered in cheese even though it was ordered without. Fifth, my buddy never received the right stuff after pointing out the problem to the waitress. Sixth, my wife got a new plate... also with cheese. Out of nine plates, three were right. Walking through the restaurant, we heard another table complaining of similar problems. On the plus side, the manage ended up taking care of the bill. The waitress was very nice and very apologetic. Turkey dinner with all the trimmings to feed about 13 people. We go and pick it up, bring it back all excited. FROZEN!! Everything was FROZEN!! Frozen turkey, frozen desserts, frozen sides. What part of we are going to have a lunch for the sales staff is not understood? Terrible experience. Manager should be ashamed, and embarrassed. They absolutely suck!! Terrible experience Arrived approximately 12:15pm and few other customers waiting to be seated. After 5 or so minutes we were in a booth, but no waitress for 20-25 minutes. One passed by and said she would be with us shortly... our section of the restaurant was nearly empty... now it was approaching 1pm... we finally got to place our order... 45 minutes later it arrived...two breakfast orders and neither was correct. We each had given very specific requests and food was not done even close to correct. Asked for manager. He arrived, we politely told him about food errors and long wait.. he disagreed with the accuracy of the time ... My wife and I went to Bob Evans for lunch. She ordered the 1/2 sandwich and soup combo with no issues at all. I ordered the pot roast hash, with the eggs over medium and nothing but issues. The eggs were way over hard, tons of butter, and potatoes were hard like they weren't cooked. I really wasn't even mad about the terrible food, but I was mad about the fact our server requested her female manager (Ashley) come and talk to me, but that must have been to much to ask. Also the other manager Tyler made no effort to come talk to me and handle the situation. Ashley did take a whole $3 off my bill which apparently is good enough for only eating 1 over hard egg and a biscuit after having surgery and being hungry. Once upon a time I was a manager for Bob Evans back in 2006. And 11 years ago if something wasn't right you did not serve the food. If anyone in corporate care here are the 3 times service fail 1- Cooks made food incorrect 2- Expiditor read ticket, saw mistake, yet still played and sent out 3- The server who took the order could see it was not correct and still handed me the plate. I guess standards just went out the window in the past 11 years. And I don't care about a lousy couple of $5 off tickets. What should be done is a refund of my entire meal. I am going to do a review on several social media sites about all the Bob Evans locations in the Newark and Heath Ohio area. I have had major problems at every location. This includes customer service, paying for food that is not correct, management not doing table touches to find out if guests are happy or not, and lack of caring by staff. If I were the GM (Kim) I would get with the District and Regional Manager, shut down, rehire and retrain the entire staff. See if you can find a way to get your staff from cooks to managers to start giving a damn again. Also when the girl at carryout asked if everything was ok, even my wife said it was terrible while the female manager in a dark red top was standing next to girl who was cashing us out and said nothing just gave us this look and rolled her eyes, also did and said nothing. Way to go Bob Evans, keep up the great work of not giving a damn. Profits must be amazing. Look for my reviews on Google, Facebook, Yelp, and Yahoo for starters. Staff was so amazing! I went with my elderly parents and they are so patient with them. Unfortunately we were sat beside some cranky kids that though on a Saturday morning in the rush of things they would receive fast food service. They were just awful to the staff but one staff member shone through and handled them to perfection. She was training a new hire at the same time. She is a great lead. Over the last year, service from the kitchen is horrible. The waitresses are always apologizing for the kitchen. Last week I called to get a to go order for deep dish chicken and noodles, my wife's favorite and pot roast stroganoff, my favorite. We get this about once a month. The lady on the phone said "pot roast, mashed potatoes and biscuits? No, pot roast stroganoff. Well we have a pot roast sandwich. No POT ROAST STROGONOFF! Sorry we don't have that.
