Surprisingly​ Good!! During a business trip to the Hermitage PA area last year, I was looking for a place to have lunch. The front desk at the Hampton Inn and Suites recommended Bob Evans in Hermitage. I've driven by Bob Evans a million times and never had the opportunity to try one. This was the day as I set out for lunch. Bob Evans is a chain of restaurants in America. the cuisine centers around classic American Home cooked style. I was greeted pleasantly upon my arrival and seated very quickly. My server came over and walked me through the menu after letting her know it was my first time at a Bob Evans, Luckily, it was the last day that they were serving their summer chicken special, so I ordered it. I have to say the meal really tasted like a home-cooked comfort food meal. The chicken was awesome, it was roasted and came with a house made BBQ sauce and spices. It was juicy and tender throughout with no overpowering flavours form the sauce or spices. My meal came with creamy mashed potatoes with gravy, Bob Evans Coleslaw and a fresh hot roll. The lunch was very good, so I would eat at Bob Evans again. The service was great and I got value for my buck. read more

Bob Evans - The Summer 2018 Chicken Special - American Near Me - Hermitage, Pennsylvania

Was excited to eat breakfast with friends who came into town and haven't see in a couple years. Our waitress was really good, cordial and attentive and always filled our coffee cups. Unfortunately my food was not good. I ordered over medium eggs and they were hard. My hash browns were over cooked and greasy. Wore was I felt sick the rest of the day now. I don't know what oil they use to cook in but my stomach does not like it. read more

We did an order for take out. I had the Turkey dinner. Food was cold and awful. The turkey was like cold cuts. Mashed potatoes were gummy. Barely any gravy on the whole mess. Not only did it taste really bad, but it was ice cold. Even the noodle soup was bad. read more

Most disappointing meal I have ever had at a Bob Evans. Home fries and bacon seemed more like boiled than grilled. Absolutely no brown in the hash browns that I ordered well done. I hate to leave reviews like this. Certainly not what I experiment a Bob Evans. read more

This was the first time going to a Bob Evan's and I came here with my teammate for dinner. There were quite a few people here around 7pm. Our waitress was nice and friendly and I think the manager came up to check on us as well as other tables. The menu had a lot of choices but I chose the 3-Course Steak Dinner ($9.99) because it looked good not to mention I was hungry. I ordered the Cheddar Baked Potato soup, the Sirloin Steak with Roasted Portabella Mushrooms, and the Chocolate Fudge Sundae. I even received two dinner rolls with everything. The dinner rolls were delicious but too bad it was only two. Our food came within a few minutes. The Cheddar Baked Potato soup was good and just the right amount in my opinion. The Sirloin Steak was good and the roasted portabella mushrooms complemented the steak so I naturally finished it pretty quick. The Chocolate Fudge Sundae was smaller than I thought it would be but it was okay. I felt that the $9.99 price was good considering I got all of the food I mentioned. What is going on in this place? Past couple of times going it was 45 minutes till we got our food and it's not that great anymore

First off, my vegetarian dish came back full of sausage. Great ending to my lunch break. Took about ten minutes to get a water. 40 minutes to get my food, that was again, full of meat on a vegetarian meal. Won't be eating lunch today, much appreciated, back to work I went. read more

I typically like this restaurant but they were just not hitting the mark this visit. Waitress was extremely inattentive. To get a refill had to go to counter and ask. Only checked on us to order, give us our food, and the bill. When giving us our order she had asked if she could get us anything. We had asked for hot sauce but it never arrived. This particular waitress also didn't bring the included bread and biscuits for two of the three meals. My meal as well as my mother's were prepared well. My stepdad's, however was an atrocity. Whomever was in charge of cooking could use some time management skills. I had a chicken dinner which assumably took longer than some sausage, eggs, and hash browns. The hash browns were tissue paper thin and the sausage had the consistency of charcoal briquettes. Eggs were also overcooked. The greeter slowed another group of 7 to cut us while waiting for them to prepare our table for us. She apologized and said we would have to wait another 15-20. We left. They should recognize and consider who is stepping in. This is a first impression and they failed miserably. read more

The food here is great. The reason i'm forced to give it a lower rating is not all of the staff wear their masks or wear them properly. Also for to go orders they are really stingy on ketchup packets and I have to bring my own ketchup from home when I get a to go order. Other than that though, the food is really cheap even cheaper than McDonalds and it tastes good. So it is worth it, the mask issue though is why I had to give a lower rating. If the employees all wore masks properly this would be 5 stars. read more

Waited for a server for about 15 minutes and they never came. We ended up leaving and no workers said anything when walked out the door.

The greeter was kind and did everything as expected. We waited for a little bit for a waitress... As we waited, I noticed a waitress waiting on the family that came in behind us. At first I thought we probably had a different waitress and they just hadn't got to us yet but then that same waitress came to our table. She asked for our drink order which I gave her and then I told her we were ready to order if she was ready to take it... (I completely understand if she needed to do the drink first) she proceeded to tell me that she couldn't take our order until she got the order tables order because they were here first I said "they weren't but ok" she stopped and looked at me with such an attitude and said "they were here before you, trust me!" I said "I watch them come in" and again she said they were here first First of all this was not that big of deal I had already excepted that there had been a misunderstanding She may have been misinformed or maybe she just assumed but she wouldn't of had know way of knowing she right because she did not seat either of us nor did she check. And truly it would've have mattered either way we walked in a minute apart but what did matter is that she wanted to argue and be rude to her customer. Being a business manager myself I have zero tolerance for this behavior. I would do it myself and work short staffed before I'd hire and continue to employee people that treat my customers this way. Food was great! Only issue was if you are required to wear masks due to COVID, please wear them CORRECTLY. Covering your mouth but not your nose does not make any sense. For both customers and employees. I personally didn't mind, as the staff were friendly, but a health inspector would NOT tolerate this. 10/10 food, 1/10 common sense. read more

We were concerned with how packed the parking lot was and almost didn't stop, but I sure am glad we did! Despite being busy, we were greeted, seated, and given drinks within minutes. Our server, Nicky, was excellent! A true master of her trade! And the cooks actually cooked our hash browns well done! We ask everywhere for well done hash browns and never get it. But Bob Evan's did! Thank you for an amazing breakfast! I'd give it 10 stars if I could! If you haven't been in a while, definitely give them a try again! Omg! Our first time ever to a Bob Evans and wow! The aroma from the parking lot was intoxicating. Let's start off with a friendly hostess to a super clean lobby and dining room was a good sign for a great restaurant. Everything on the menu looked amazing as well as what everyone around us was eating. I ordered the breakfast pot roast skillet thing and they easily accommodated a hash browns substitution. The dinner rolls, lemonade aid "cake", and the biscuits were super delicious. On a side note, I could take or leave biscuits as they are usually dry...well not here! So yummy! We were so impressed that we will be eating here often, Denny's can kick rocks thank you to our waitress and the kitchen staff you guys nailed it!! read more

The manager came up to our table the other morning and asked if everything tasted good. My lady friend said she couldn't eat the breakfast sausage because it didn't taste right. The manager suggested she take it home and give it to her dog. She said she wouldn't even give it to her dog. The manager should have fixed the problem by giving us a refund or another side for our breakfast. We probably won't go back. read more

Dont bother going here unless you have alot of extra time....Its like watching a bunch of turtles in action....from the cooks to the servers... food is poor too...its last on my list of places to go in this area....I have been to Bob Evans in other areas and not had this type of issue...im sure its a result of the people who work at this place. read more

Don't waste your time here. The cooks have poor attitudes and you can feel all the way out to the dining room. I feel sorry for wait staff who have walk on egg shells for these second rate line cooks. read more

I know it is Bob Evan's but she is better than most professional food servers at high end restaurants like the Springfield Group. If you are in the area stop in and ask for Jerilyn. Bob Evans is the place to go if you want a good breakfast in the Shenango Valley. The eggs were cooked correctly and the meats were good quality. I always get the farmers choice breakfast, you get your choice of hash browns or home fries and your choice of meats, you also get your choice if pancakes, French toast and crepes! I always get the crepes they are great!!!! I would have rated it a 5 bit the price is a little high! But it's better then Denny's , eat n park or Perkins read more

I was recently in the Hermitage store, twice. I overheard the manager berating the kitchen staff. Calling them names. It's no wonder the staff doesn't perform as good as they should. I wouldn't want to work under those conditions. I asked, and the manager on duty was Eric the second night. He really needs to go if this is how he handles people. I won't go back just for this reason. I only gave this place 1 star because I couldn't give it a minus 1. read more
