I was very upset with my experience at Bob Evans. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich which was good, but the macaroni I ordered instead of the fries came out cold. It tasted very plain so I put a lot of salt on it. My water tasted like dirty dish water. My friend's soup tasted very bad. My boyfriend's chicken strips were decent. Our waitress though was the sweetest thing ever. I would try it again, but maybe in a different life. read more

If your visiting town I highly recommend coming here their was great food, great service and very clean. I am visiting saint Luis and me and my family came to eat, when I ordered I had accidentally ordered the wrong kind of eggs I would've preferred and didn't realize until I got my food knowing it was not their fault I simply don't eat that part and set it aside a few minutes later the manager was walking around and quickly noticed my eggs and asked if was not enjoying them and I had explained it was not anyone's fault I had just simply ordered the wrong thing. She then asked if what kind I would've liked and grabbed our plates, a few minutes later she game out with a new egg just like that! Amazing costumer service and highly recommended!! I have had breakfast at this Bob Evans several times, but today the food was subpar. I asked for crispy bacon and received bacon that was undercooked. The hashbrowns were also undercooked. Add to that, the toast was dry--absolutely no butter. If this had been the first time that I went to this Bob Evans, I would not go back. read more

This Bob Evans was like all the other one's; nice waitress and fast service. My only complaint would be that a third of my pancakes were still raw inside. I assume this was the result of an exceedingly busy morning. If you are there on a busy morning, remind waitress to have your pancakes cooked enough to eat. read more

Very unhappy with my breakfast. I ordered the Western Omelet. It was supposed a two egg omelet with ham, green pepper, grilled onion and cheese. What I got was more like a one egg omelet, a generous filling of green pepper and onion, six small pieces of ham and a sprinkling of cheese. I am on a low carb diet, so I substituted fruit, for hash browns. The fruit was grapes, pineapple and a couple of melon. Non of which I wanted to eat. So for $10.00 I had a one egg veggie omelet. Not acceptable. My suggestion is try O'Charley's for brunch some Sunday to see how a real omelet is made, for the same price. I had no issue with the restaurant itself, just Bob Evans skimping on the servings. Shame on them. read more

Let me start this review with a little saying. When you go someplace new order chicken fingers and fries. That is exactly what I did. First for 10.99 I expected more than 4tiny pieces of chicken. The chicken was very dry & had a funny flavor. The slaw had a weird after taste & I only took 3 bites. The banana bread was very good. I had the loaded fries that was very good as well. My friend ordered the apple cinnamon Belgian waffle with eggs, hash browns and bacon. He loved the waffle & bacon. Hated the hash browns & said the eggs tasted like they were cooked in the microwave. My wife and I have never cared much for Bob Evans, but thought they should be OK for breakfast food even if it was1:30 PM. I ordered a Western omelet with grits. Grits were supposed to be available until 2 o'clock, but the kitchen said they already stopped serving them. A Western omelet has ham, peppers, and onions. Theirs comes with sautéed onions. Now to me that is not a proper Western omelet, so I asked for raw onions. Well what I got was pretty much an onion omelet with a some tiny cubes of salad ham here and there. The peppers were fine, but sparse. My bread choice was blueberry, which turned how to be heavy soggy bread that broke under its own weight when I attempted to pick it up. I then asked for whole wheat toast. When it finally came at the end of my meal it was two slices of scrawny thin bread, smaller than standard sandwich bread and was over toasted and cold. My wife ordered an omelet that came with sausage, bacon, and ham plus some vegatables. It turned out to be basically a spinach and tomato omelet with a smattering of the little cubes of ham and some indistinguishable little cumbles of meat. Oh yeah, both omelets had a slight sprinkling of cheese on top. The home fries were fine, but not what I wanted. I don't know, maybe if you order eggs and sausage with biscuits you might be OK. Bob Evans sausage from the grocery is OK, but for a restaurant that specializes in breakfast food ours was very disappointing. read more

We, for the second time, ordered a pick up order from Grub Hub from this location and for the second time it was incorrect which isn't Grub Hubs fault but Bob Evans. Again our order was missing food and not correct. Apparently they only care about dine in customers. I'm high risk for COVID and try to not go out. Our plain pancake order had blueberries in it and bananas on top. I know that's an odd complaint but our son has a allergy to most fruits. When my husband called Bob Evans and spoke with a manager to let her know all she said was "ok" and waited for him to speak. She couldn't have cared less that her and her staff can't read an order ticket (which was correct when we looked). She just wanted to be off the phone. My husband wasn't yelling or being disrespectful in any way he just wanted what he paid for to be correct. Don't order from this location. It won't be right and they don't care. read more

I have not been here in forever until recently and it was very good. Had chicken fried steak with breakfast potatoes and it was very good. They offered their specialty bread (almond toffee) and that was amazing. Nice waitress and clean. This was a Monday morning so not much of a crowd. read more

My husband and I visited this location for the second time. It was just as good as our first. Our server was Danielle and she was very friendly and gave excellent service. The food was delivered promptly and tasted great. We were very excited to see that Pot Roast Hash has been added back to the menu. We would definitely visit this location again. read more

We come here every weekend. We've never had a bad meal or a bad experience. By now the servers know us and bring our drinks as soon as we sit down. It's a great place for breakfast. The prices are reasonable. They offer drinks to go when we have finished eating. Those drinks are free. We sometimes take them but not always. Just a fun place with a great staff. read more

My family and I are semi regular at this location. The food has always been hot and fresh with a fairly fast order turn around time. This was NOT the case. Our server could not have cared less. The orders were wrong, the food was cold and had been sitting under the warming light for at least 10 minutes. At the time of our visit it was not at all busy (maybe 7 tables in the place occupied) and we could not get him to fill our drinks more than once. He set a hot coffee pot down directly in front of our toddler and walked off saying he would come back for it later. WTF!! Just all around poor service. Way to ruin a family outing server Matt. Food was OK, but the place was so dirty I was completely uncomfortable and grossed out the whole time. When we first sat down the booth looked promising, but towards the wall there were salt and crumbs everywhere. That's disgusting and it isn't hard to lift up the items on the table to wipe under them. It wasn't just under it though, more like all around. Across from us were two "clean" tables that had crumbs in the middle of them. While I waited for my soup to arrive my family began eating their salads.. So me being polite I unraveled the silverware and low and behold the knife was covered with yellow gunk.. Just nasty so of course I checked the other two items.. The spoon also had crud on it. After that I went as far as inspecting the napkin.. That to had food on it. Just nasty. Makes me think our cups and my family had dirty dishes as well. I just wanted to get out of there. the waitress didn't even come back to check on our food and gave us the wrong check. Didn't want to ruin our lunch so I didn't bring it up with the manager. With that being said I probably won't return to Bob Evans and will never recommend eating here. read more

i used to go here all the time. we had not been in awhile so we decided to go here for breakfast. i wanted to try the red velvet pancakes. i thought they were silver dollar pancakes. i remember the pancakes being huge. i got like maybe 6 pieces of potato for my home fries. it maybe another 3 years before i think about going here again. read more

We like Bob Evans restaurants in general and have good luck with the one at Lake Ozark. However this location is "off" our list now. Were there on a Sunday morning at 8:30 a.m. in August. Took forever for the waitress to come take our order (got one cup of coffee and no refills - so I went and found her and asked for more coffee). Took at least 20 to 30 minutes to get our cold food. Waitress said "someone took your food order out from under the lights and put it on a tray and didn't deliver it". And how is that our problem? Bye Bob. read more

Bad service, very bad service. No silverware, no dressing for salad. Asked for no onions on entree, came with onions anyway. Ordered biscuits with meal, got dried out and nearly burnt dinner rolls. Dirty dishes not cleared away. Server merely shoved them out of the way with the entree plates. Empty beverage glasses stacked up three deep on the table. When asked to clear the table some, the waiter was clearly surprised to be asked to do so. Manager was useless and asked that we not disparage the server when we complained about service. read more

We have been going to this location of Bob Evans for years, and unfortunately it has gone from one of our favorite places to go to one that we will probably avoid in the future. Especially after this last visit. We went on Saturday August 2nd around 1:00 pm. It was not crowded. After being seated we waited quite a while just for a waitress to come to the table to take our drink orders. Be both got iced tea and it was so watered down it had next to no color or flavor. And again, it took for ever for her to come back and take our food order. While waiting for the food we found that most of our silverware was dirty, and the people at the table next to ours complained of the same thing. When we finally got our food it was the worst breakfast we ever had there. The only 2 things they got right is that the home fries were cooked (they are normally next to raw) and the sausage gravy was as good as always. Seeing as probably all the cook has to do is heat it from frozen, you really can't mess that up anyway. The scrambled eggs were burnt and dry, the biscuits were like hockey pucks, the ham had no flavor, the bacon was ok, the chicken fried steak was a frozen patty that was not cooked properly and the white gravy on top was like eating paste. On top of that, and one of my biggest pet peeves is any restaurant, is the bathroom was not clean and the floors were sticky. Gross. I think this may be our last trip to Bob Evans, at least this location anyway. read more

I would love to give this more than one star, because the food actually wasn't half bad. It was the service though... First off, we went in around 10:30 AM and waited behind maybe two other groups for a good 25 mins. After being seated we got to enjoy the "lovely" service from an obviously tenured waitress named Melissa. She meant well, but was an absolute mess. Slamming down plates and glasses, didn't take our order for a good 20 mins., never gave us nor asked for coffee refills, brought us the wrong order when it was finally ready. She was just a complete mess. Another party was seated no more than 5 minutes before us and were leaving the restaurant, done with their meal, before we were even able to place our order! Food was good, service was horrible!! This place was great years ago, but they need to give the boot to a few of their waitresses and hire new polite and courteous staff. read more
