I had a really nice meal at Sunny Street last weekend! It was my first time visiting and I am so mad at myself for not going sooner. The group I went with called ahead and managed to reserve a few tables for the 15 of us who were dining together. It was a little (or a large) holiday brunch and while we could not all sit together, they still managed to get us a few tables near each other so that we could mingle as needed. Our server was Nikki and she was a delight! She managed our orders and kept up with the food and drinks like a champ! Taking orders for a large group is never easy, especially when people keep moving around and new people join, but Nikki did it with ease. When I arrived, she offered me some coffee and made sure to keep it filled throughout the morning. She provided creamer options and made sure I was good with water since that's all I asked for. When it was time to order, she made her way around the table and made sure to write orders down and she confirmed with each of us before submitting the ticket to the kitchen. When the food came out, everything looked so good and the plates were filled with delicious food. I was so happy for my cheese grits and the traditional buttermilk pancakes. My meal was the one that came with eggs and chicken sausage and then I chose grits as my side and this meal came with pancakes. I didn't realize it would come with so many of them, but I was thrilled to see the stack! The food was really good and the pancakes were fluffy and so tasty. I would def get them again. Nikke was able to separate our checks and again, I applaud her ability to keep things straight since there were lots of us and so many food/drink options to organize, but she did a great job! We all paid our tabs and were on our way after only being in there for an hour and twenty minutes. It was a well serviced brunch and we were all very happy and full when we left. I keep going back, being one of my favorite breakfast spots. Good breakfast, bacon has always been cooked to perfection, coffee is strong and on point, hash browns delicious, biscuits and gravy are better than most others Ive experienced. Went for breakfast on a Monday with my husband, sister and brother in law and the place was busy, that's always a good sign! Our server greeted us promptly and was very cheery We all ordered mimosas, which were offered in a variety of flavors. It was so nice to see they offered a senior menu from which I ordered the 1 egg, 1 pancake, bacon and hash browns. My sister and brother-in-law both ordered the 2 egg, toast, bacon and hash brown option from the senior menu. My husband ordered the egg white omelet from the regular menu. The menu has a great variety of options including waffles. The food came fast and was hot. Our bacon was nice and crispy and meaty. It's a cute restaurant with both booths and tables. We go to breakfast often with our extended family. Sunny Street has always been on our rotation. They used to have big, light, fluffy pancakes. One of the main reasons we liked going there. The last two times we went there the pancakes were small and fat and doughy. Sadly, we will probably remove them from our rotation. The staff there is so nice and upbeat and love the background music as well. But you can't eat the staff or the music. read more

What a delightful breakfast and lunch place!! We did have to wait awhile but considering the crowd... Not too long. I had a turkey bacon salad and it was grand. The pumpkin muffins were a hit. Bright and cheery and delicious food in this shopping strip place. Our group of five all had great food and nice service. The food was great however, getting service was difficult. This is not a complaint against my waitress, she was set up to fail. I asked to sit outside, and I was (there were other patrons already outside). I sat there for 15 minutes without any acknowledgment from the wait staff. I was leaving when they noticed and they made a big (and vocal) deal about it. I stayed only because I was really hungry at this point and didn't want to have to drive elsewhere. I was miffed, but not angry but I did ask to be seated somewhere where I could get service. I ended up seated at the bar area. My waitress took my order quickly and my meal was ready fast. The food was great! Once I received my food, I was not checked on at all (my waitress apparently had too many tables literally all over the place (not in a particular section). It was impossible for her to survey her tables for any needs). I had to flag someone else down to het a coffee refill after sitting with an empty cup for a while. A few minutes after that, my waitress gave me my bill (she did ask me at this time if I needed any, but since I already got my coffee refill and I was near done eating, it seemed moot to ask for anything else (like the extra napkin that would have been nice near the beginning of the meal). Finished eating and made all of the signals (napkin and cutlery on plate, plate moved away, credit card sitting on bill, etc) and my waitress nevertheless came over. So I moved over to the register and stood there for a few minutes. My waitress then told me that I should have paid her at the table. Really? I said that I tried but she never came over. She said "sorry but my hostess keeps triple seating me". That's really not my problem. No manager on site. I'm not sure I'll come back. I don't like having to work so hard to het service. read more

I have not been to Sunny Street for several months, but had never had a negative experience here before. Today we waited a long time to be served, when finally served, the order was not correct. Cheese was offered, refused, and found on the eggs anyway, the lightly scrambled eggs were fully cooked... And finally there was a hair in the food (noticed on the way out there was a cook with longer hair and no one was wearing hair nets in the kitchen). Some of the homemade chips were crisp and crunchy, others were undercooked and chewy. The place was busy as always, the server was very friendly, the eggs were replaced, but we had to ask for the cheese up charge to be removed at the cash register. This is the worst BLT I have ever had! One piece of bacon on the entire sandwich! And it was overcooked and disintegrated bc it was so crunchy. So much avocado it squeezed out of the sandwich in globs and had no flavor. I expect such a simple sandwich to be good and cold barely eat it. Late breakfast for two. We were seated immediately. My husband ordered the loaded hash browns, which included eggs and rye toast. I ordered the French toast combo with bacon. Tasty. Two coffees. I don't know why the coffee disappointed me today - it was as if it wasn't as strong as in the past - more like blah but I think it was just me. Abby V was "on it." I don't know how she managed all of her tables as well as other duties, but she was great! She returned multiple times to check on us and always had a smile on her face - very mature for a teenager and has a lot of hustle. I'll definitely ask for her when we revisit. First thing to note is how amazing the manager is here. Constantly checking up on all the tables and cleaning them if need be, as well as taking out most if not all of the orders. I've never seen a restaurant managed so greatly! Food is always amazing here:) I totally would recommend stopping and eating brunch here. read more

I was in the area to go to the dentist and stopped in for a quick breakfast. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich and my wife ordered the avocado toast. 1. I would suggest skipping the chicken salad. We decided to try a new spot for breakfast and settled on Sunny Street Cafe. We were seated quickly and our waitress was very attentive to drinks and to the pacing of our meal. The interior is bright and cheerful and perfect surroundings for a little breakfast. My husband enjoyed the King CFS combo (chicken fried steak). The gravy was clearly homemade with fresh herbs and the steak was perfectly fried. I had the corned beef hash, after being assured it was all house made and not from a can. It did not disappoint! The seasoning was bold but not overbearing g and the corned beef was obviously made in house. We will gladly return to try other breakfast items, or to try their lunch offerings. read more

We had a group of 5 people. We waited 45 minutes and finally checked to see what was going on. Our party had been scratched off. My personal service was terrible. I asked for lemon with my tea. Got no lemon. The server/waitress finally brought lemons out on a napkin. No biggie. However, I asked specifically for NO BUTTER on my French toast. It was covered in butter. The server, "Heather" apologized and said that she was the one who put the butter on it! After waiting 45 minutes, I just wiped it off with a napkin. I also ordered sausage. No sausage! Well we went next door to the Joint and saw this for breakfast. So we r first timers. It's a thurs 10:30 and the last of the breakfast crowd in here. Looks like lots of training in the kitchen too. Manager in there for all three stores giving them tips. Looking at the menu and they have some specialties. Then another special small menu. I ordered from that! I had the Carnitas Benedict with fruit. Hey I gotta cut down somewhere...! Haha. And I wanted to try the Blueberry Chia Smoothie too. It's nice and purple. Wow my first bite was mmm there is a lot of green peppers in Here. But then as I was continuing my feeding da mouth my tongue was verrrry happy. And so was my belly. I loved the smashed avo on the muffin too!! Woweee! Look at my pix below. U will want some. My smoothie was awesome and of course the Bf said after he tried it "will I poop out a chia pet"?? First time here and will not be back. Both food and service were terrible. Hash browns and pancakes were burnt (blacked on bottom) and bacon was so overdone that it just turned to powder in your mouth. Service was terrible and they were not super busy. About 75% of tables were full and there was no wait. They actually seemed over staffed because many employees were standing around talking with each other including our own waitress (Angela?). Our waitress was not at all attentive and we had to flag her down or have someone else go get her several times. This was after sitting for 20 minutes waiting to order while she was talking to other employees, not because she was busy with other tables. She kept "forgetting" to bring coffee, water, creamer, etc. Manager (?) finally got us coffee. Finally, there were several double charges on our bills. When pointed out, we got a "whoops". It was corrected, but it seemed almost intentional like they were hoping people wouldn't notice. There were too many errors for it to have been accidental. There was nothing good about this experience and we will not be back. read more

At the start the place was packed and folks found the place to be worth the wait...as the wait list was long. We, however, sat pretty quickly as we choose to sit at the counter. We had coffee and a menu before we could settle in...Sierra was spot on with the service and as we could tell she knows how to feed her customers!!!! This was our first time here and boy was it a pleasant experience. They offer an assortment of typical breakfast food along with a fresh Mexican breakfast options. The environment is very relaxed and comfortable, bathrooms were well maintained...I use this to gage the cleanness of the kitchen....not always spot on but my thought process!!
