The place is quiet for early dinner. I'm here with two other people. My order came out good, but the food for the other two had problems with them. The server, Lisa, couldn't even remember who had what drink. She keyed in the wrong order for one of the two messed up orders (put in combo instead), and had cheese one the other order when asked for no cheese. Order onion rings, get 4 small ones the size of a silver dollar despite a menu that shows larger ones and twice as many. Get chicken breast and get the 4 inch across piece of rubbery chewy meat that is 6 bites to eat. Change the loaded mashed to include gravy and they leave off everything else. My neighbor & I stopped in here for breakfast/lunch. We were seated immediately & our friendly server brought us coffee & water right away. My neighbor ordered the Homestead Farmer breakfast (2eggs, 2 sausage patties, hash browns, 2 biscuits w/gravy) while I had the Pick 2 combo - 1/2 sandwich (double cheese pot roast dip) & 1/2 grilled chicken Cobb salad. This is close to the highway and close to home. Over all i like their breakfasts and the morning staff. Come here alone and with family. Its been renovated recently so everything looks nice and new. This was a good meeting place for a Sunday breakfast with the family. It is located near a highway and felt very clean inside. Our wait wasn't long (~20 minutes). Due to COVID restrictions, out table was completely cleared off upon arrive. We were informed that we needed to ask the server for any items we may need (cream, sugar, butter, jelly, salt, pepper,etc) which was no problem to us! We were given "Bob's Table" (large wooden picnic table that seats up to 8) which was perfect & gave extra elbow room for our group with taller men! We came into the restaurant and it wasn't very busy. Lots of tables were open and it seemed like a relatively light night. We sat down and ordered with relative ease within 10 minutes or so. It then took over 40 minutes for us to get our meals at some point they told us they no longer had certain drinks but didn't come back to check in for 15 minutes. We said something to the assistant manager but he told us he only had one cook and they had a lot of orders from DoorDash. The assistant manager said this has been an issue for six years but the company will not take care of it. Hopefully they will take care of it soon as they have lost my business and I'm sure others in the past 6 years. I rarely ever say anything if we have bad service but I had to speak up at some point. When we go to check out they also didn't take anything off our bill as apparently that's the service they have. read more

Every time we've gone to this location it is not a good experience. My most recent experience was no exception. We waited for about 5 minutes to be greeted and seated. We sat and waited roughly 10 minutes for our drink order to be taken and waited at least another 5 minutes for the drinks to arrive. Our server was trying to clean tables and take orders. She was friendly and helpful as we ordered.The food took over 30 mins to arrive. I ordered the shaved ham and swiss with coleslaw and fries. The sandwich was hot and tasty. The coleslaw arrived only after I reminded them but I never received the crackers I requested to go with it. The fries were lukewarm at best and overdone. The portion of fries for the cost was very skimpy. My niece got the kids grilled cheese and fruit. The kids fruit cup had strawberries that were not fresh at all (slimy, brown and gross) and the pineapple looked as if it were dehydrated- with no juice in it at all. There were several younger employees gathered near the front of the restaurant at the check out who were busy talking and messing around the whole time we were there. There were several small parties and one large party in the restaurant but I would not classify it as busy and certainly would not have expected the service to be so slow given the amount of customers in the restaurant. We have decided that was our last visit to Bob Evans. There is simply nothing there worth going back for! read more

I should've known when we walked in and there was a mob of angry customers wielding pitchforks and yelling at the employees in the front that dinner was doomed. But no, being the bright and sunny optimist that I am, I forged right in with my family for dinner thinking that all would be well. Even after waiting a substantial amount of time to be greeted and seated, but with the angry mob, I rationalized that they were in fear of their safety and not worried about my level of hangry. Our waitress was also bright and sunny which is the ONLY reason this is getting the two stars that it is. She was friendly and through the whole terrible experience. We first ordered our beverages, nothing to complain about yet. They arrived in a timely manner to everyone's satisfaction. We were then able to order the food. So far so good. When the food was delivered a fortnight later (kids eyes had glazed over with hunger at this point and they had already gone through two hot chocolates, who needs food?) the waitress chose THAT time to inform us that the meal my BF has ordered was sold out (pot pie) and told him to pick something the kitchen could make quickly! Seriously?!?! So everyone else at the table had their food and his wasn't even ordered yet. That's not ok. So he ordered a freaking deli turkey sandwich for dinner while the rest of us had hot food. (Not great quality, but hot at least) No manager stopped by, no apologies from waitress, no attempt to make it right whatsoever. A $70 terrible meal, terrible experience and that didn't even include adult beverages! When I was checking out the cashier asked how everything was and as I started to tell her she glazed right over me with the "sign here" on the receipt. My family and I ordered take out from this location. The lady who took the order over the phone got the whole order completely wrong, had to wait an hour for them to get it correct. Once we got home to seat down to eat our meal, majority of it was cold, the biscuits were hard as a rock. Just terrible. I don't think I will be back. We love Bob Evans and hadn't been to this location in awhile. After a long day at work, we decided to do carry-out with three meals. The waitress was very nice but I got home to see that my boyfriend was missing bacon bits & chives with his soup, I had MAYBE four small mushrooms on my mushroom burger and I was mostly shocked at the very VERY small amount of fries that I chose for my side. Also, all of the food that should have been hot (and I even showed up early) was barely warm and my fries were soggy. Because I didn't feel like driving back so we sucked it up and ate it, but I was extremely disappointed with this trip. Third bad experience at this location over the last year. Was seated, sat and watched another table be seated and served before us. Waited 15 minutes and then gave up, went to front desk to try to get anyone who could take our orders. Gave our full order to someone who wasn't the waitress for our table, was told ten minutes then food would be out, waited 40 minutes before food finally was brought to the table with missing side items. Never was given an apology and no manager in sight. Won't be back to this location which is a shame. Stopped to ask questions about Thanksgiving dinners. We stood there at the check in area. We said we were not eating today that we had a few questions. I saw literally 6 workers standing behind counter. A man spoke up and said he would be with us. We waited and waited...then one of the girls said he went to interview a guy that was standing there. Time for some bad publicity. I ordered Bob Evans last Sunday October 25th, we had no food in the house after we got home from vacation. I ordered it from their website and had it delivered. When the door dash driver got here with my food, only half of my order was there (not her fault due to covid and they are not allowed to double check) . They didn't even give me butter or syrup for my pancakes, nor were there any utensils. I called the store (after being hung up on twice) and told them the situation and they asked me if I would like to come pick up the rest of my order. I told them I ordered it to be delivered, so therefore I could not come pick it up. I was then asked if I would like to have a credit for my next purchase. I replied with I do not frequent this Bob Evans for sit down dining and that I go to the one in Miamisburg. I was told that my order would be refunded. I called back on Monday to make sure the refund was in the works and was told it would in my account in 3days. It is now 7 days later and I still have not received my refund. I suggest nobody give their money to this Bob Evans. read more

I hope the experience today, 6-12-2018, is not the new norm for this resturant. The wait after ordering was - exceptionally - long. The OVER MEDIUM eggs that I ordered had very runny whites. The grits were WAY too dry, and there was an extra wait for the toast. We had waited SOooo l o n g for our order, if we had complained, an additional long wait would have ensued. This local Bob Evans Resturant is visited frequently by us and I hope this experience is a one time mishap. I will wait sometime before returning and hope this is rectified soon. read more

I always get the ham and cheese omelet with home fries. I really enjoy this place. I have nothing too bad to say just your usual complaints. The service can sometimes be a little bad. The usual slow server or the food is taking longer than usual. The food is always really well done. They are pretty quick on getting you in and out in a reasonable time. I've never tried the dinner items, but I would assume they are just as good as the breakfast items. I would recommend this place for anyone that's craving some breakfast food. read more

We called in a carryout order, make your own omelette, onion, cheese and mushrooms that i paid .50 extra. It had 3 mushrooms on the omelette barely any cheese. At some point we get to the place when we have to say "ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!" Today is that day. Father's day is a special day. I was invited out to breakfast by my two daughters. We decided to go to the Springboro Bob Evans. Planning ahead, we decided to arrive early to beat the crowd. The parking lot was near empty. We parked up front and entered the near empty establishment. It was just after 7:30 a.m. well prior to any crowd. We stood in the front lobby waiting to be seated. There is no hostess so the cashier, who was checking someone out had us wait. No big deal. A couple minutes later, she seated us. There were empty booths all around the table that was chosen for us. It took almost 5 minutes prior to the server to come to our table. She said she was busy with a lot of tables. I guess she was the only server, but there were several people behind the countertop area. She asked us for our drink orders. Pretty simple coffee and water for the 3 of us. My daughter asked for the French Vanilla creamer that was not at the table. She asked us if we were ready to order now. Yes we were. Good thing so we can beat any crowd coming in. After repeating the order to her, she finally had everything written down. Nothing special Farmers choice for 2 and pancakes and hashbrowns for one. Simple enough. The coffee comes out. We sit and chat for a while waiting to be served. We watched as the crowd grew and others being seated. After a long stretch, I noticed others being served their food. These are people who arrived 5-10 minutes after we did. I wondered where our food was at. Not too happy, I went to the manager and said "We have been here for 45 minutes and others are being served and our food has not arrived. My daughters brought me here for Father's Day and we came to enjoy a good breakfast!" She said "Oh, your food is up now, we will bring it out to you." I replied, "This is not a good way to start a Father's Day" and was heading towards the door. I knew I needed to cool down a bit. As I was walking out, the manager said with a bit of an attitude "Well, have a Happy Father's Day!!" The people in the lobby just looked stunned at me and back at her. No, I could not let it go. I turned and said "Really, I do not appreciate the sarcastic tone in your voice!" Yes, a scene was unfolding. Of course then it was... well we will take care of the bill... like that makes things better. I go back to the table and eventually the food comes out. The manager says over and over that the bill is taken care of... again like that matters at this point. Then she said, the order was put in 24 minutes ago. I would guess about 10 minutes after our order went in. I have one daughter who left the table crying and another one explaining how belittling it was to be treated in such a manner. What manner is that? Well, whether it was a factor or not, we did not fit the demographics of the establishment. Yes, we were the only minorities in the place. Attention is now on us and we are defending ourselves because of poor customer service. I know most if not all of you reading this can understand this feeling. I know most will chalk it up to poor service or a plethora of other reasons. But when this happens to you over and over again, it makes one wonder, is there another factor involved. This was not the first time this has happened. This has not always happened because we have supported this business for years. But recently, this is the 3rd time this or a similar situation has happened to me. Poor service, undercooked food, and now, an attitude that was incredulous on a day meant to celebrate Fatherhood with my daughters. Those of you who know me have seen me very supportive of this community that I have been a part of for over 2 decades. I have been involved in the community and even support those businesses that are a part of the community. I have coached your kids, been on several boards and organizations. I have been an active part through scouting, soccer, schools, etc. But today I say "ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!" My goal is to end this type of treatment and will call for the community to either join in doing what is right for all or continue the status quo! Your choice and remember, your example to the future. Stand up or just accept it because it does not affect you. DO NOT SUPPORT BUSINESSES THAT TREAT PEOPLE IN A DEMEANING MANNER! DO NOT ACCCEPT BIAS ACTIONS OR MISTREATMENT OF OTHERS. If you do not do something about it, you implicitly support it. I ask you to join me in boycotting the local Bob Evans. Up to you, but remember your money talks. Remember all those businesses you miss ... this is one I will not miss unless they change their service and their attitudes.
