First of all the staff here is extremely friendly. Felt very welcome here. Gold stars to the staff. I ordered an omelette with cheese and chopped tomatoes. I was a little disappointed that the cheese was not melted and the hash browns seemed to be a patty thrown on a grill. The tomato's in the omelette, however, were fabulous and plentiful! My significant other had a BLT his only complaint was the bacon and butter on the toast was very salty! Won't stop me from coming back and trying something different! Curbside pickup can be hit or miss at most places. This was no exception. We called and on the seventh ring I checked into Yelp. The call was instantly answered and the food was at our car within a minute. The Carmel Mocha was unusually smooth the tamper resistant label over the spout caused an odd texture to the lid. Ended up removing the lid entirely. The pot roast hash was thrown together. The turkey entries and banana bread were amazing. The rolls were fresh. An enjoyable lunch out. read more

I wish I could give them zero stars because they don't deserve even 1/2 a star. This review does not include anything about the quality of the food because on this day, apparently, they weren't serving any. We arrived at 10:30 ish for breakfast and were waiting behind another couple to be seated. As usual there were several employees running around behind the counter and in and out of the dining room but no one seemed to be charged with acting as hostess. After about 5 minutes a young woman came over and proceeded to take names and told us it would be about 10 minutes. Another man came in behind us and she told him 10-15 wait. He incredulously responded "MINUTES?!" when the hostess answered in the affirmative he nearly tripped over himself stomping out and we raised our eyebrows and smirked at the couple seated across from us and shared a laugh. That jovial moment was quickly extinguished when another female employee rushed over to the hostess stand, grabbed two menus and looked at us and asked if there were just two. We quickly pointed out the other couple who had been ahead of us but were out of her line of vision and the woman seemed to get further rattled. She nodded toward them and said "I can seat you now but it's going to be at least 45 minutes before you get any food!" The other couple hesitated and my husband and I looked at each other over raised eyebrows and shook our heads. My husband asked in disbelief if it would really take 45 minutes to get breakfast as the woman said "yes." My husband responded, as we were headed toward the door, that they really needed to do better and the woman ratcheted up another notch and replied "that's what happens when people don't show up for work!" In short, don't bother stopping here, head North to Troy and go to Lincoln Square where they know how to run a restaurant. read more

Yesterday 28 May 2022 my husband and I visited Bob Evan's Restaurant 22 N Weller Dr., Tipp City, Ohio 45371 around 12:30 pm. After we entered the door we stood with another couple at the podium waiting to be seated. We stood there for probably 4-5 minutes with absolutely no one even acknowledging that we were waiting. One elderly waitress walked forward and backwards behind the counter like she didn't even know what she was doing completely ignoring us. Another couple of other waitresses proceeded to walk behind the counter and never even glanced in our direction. Even the manager came out of the kitchen and cashed out a couple of customers and never even raised his eyes to look in our direction or acknowledge us! Stood at the hostess desk for over 20min without so much as a "we will be right with you". They were not busy. Maybe 10 cars in the lot at 1:15 on a Monday afternoon. The hostess took a personal phone call while we stood waiting for someone to acknowledge us then proceeded to discuss her personal call with a coworker....looking at us but not offering to seat us or let us know she would be right with us. Hostess was a little delayed in searing us @ 1110 am and it wasn't because there weren't any seats. Usually searing and hostess greet is immediate. Table felt a little sticky but I couldn't see anything - might have been the surface. Food was typically good - no parsley on the omelet. Terrible experience with food from Bob Evans. Ordered online and live 5 minutes from location. Ordered 8 piece fried chicken meal for $29.99. Rolls were hard and fell apart, french fries were hard, 4 breasts and 4 wings and green beans were fine. Half the meal was terrible. I have ordered from this restaurant before and rolls and fries have been fine. Someone needs to check on how food is being prepared here. read more

My wife and I ate a late lunch here today. We've been eating at Bob's for years. It's never been exactly top shelf but when you need a reliable, predictable and reasonably priced sit down meal you can do much worse (Denny's, I'm looking at you!). After running around all day we were starved. She had a meatloaf Knife & Fork sandwich and added a salad and dessert. I ordered a meatloaf dinner. We both noticed the meatloaf or maybe the gravy was quite salty. Neither of us are shy about salt so if we notice, it's pretty darned salty. The iced tea we both had was weak - weak to the point I was pretty sure they nearly ran out and had to add water to stretch it a bit. It looked and tasted like water that had heard about a tea bag but had never personally met one. Anyway, the true topper was my wife's dessert. We're not big dessert eaters so she asked for cookies to go, thinking the kids might enjoy them later. The waitress brought out a small Styrofoam container and walked away without leaving the check (a pet peeve of mine). After flagging her down and finally getting the check, I opened the container of cookie(s). Inside was ONE HALF of one chocolate chip cookie - maybe some other "lucky" diner got the other half for dessert. I don't mean it was a oddly shaped cookie, it was literally a cookie that had been cleanly cut in half. We left it on the table, paid the check and left. Too bad, I used to like Bob Evans. This particular location has never been very impressive but seriously, a 1/2 of a cookie AND you can't make even vaguely proper iced tea? I've noticed the quality and portion sizes are both declining over the past 2-3 years at BE's everywhere. I'll maybe still go for breakfast now and again. The coffee is good, the B&G is good and like another reviewer said, the Rise and Shine breakfast is a good go-to item, but I'm done with them for any other meal. Looking like a chain in decline. I enjoy their breakfasts and appreciate this Ohio franchise. The inexpensive 3 course meal and senior reduced portions are highlights of the dinner menu, but I wouldn't rave about their lunch and dinner items. Usually I get breakfast for dinner. I even have trouble ordering anything besides the rise and shine breakfast. This particular location hasn't impressed my last few visits, but the food and coffee/sweet tea are good. read more

I ordered Grilled chicken tenders my sister pointed to something on the menu and my mom ordered breakfast and our server couldn't get our order right, and it took him almost an hour from the time we arrived for him to attempt to get our order right, we got fed up and left. We are staying in Tipp City for a week. Have been to this restaurant three times. First time we thought we'd never go back. Service was very slow, waitress did not give my son drink and a salad with his kids meal ( we found out on our second visit that we supposed to get that too) my steak was undercooked, so they took it and brought me the way I was asking for it the first time. But we already were finished with our meals. Second time service was better. Waitress was quick. They apologized for our previous bad experience there. And gave us free slice of apple pie. Visited this location with my boyfriend once for dinner. We got seated fairly quickly. The waiter we had however was very nice and helpful but got busy and the manager had to help him out with delivering our food. He got sat repeatedly in his section and I felt bad for him but his hard work was appreciated. The restrooms were clean and our food was pretty good. Quite disappointed. We were waiting before the doors opened. When I walked through the doors, the floor was all dirty. My French toast was cold. The hashbrowns tasted like they were fried in old oil. I see some bad reviews but, honestly, after 50 check-ins to this location, I've generally had very good experiences and find it to be one of the better Bob Evans in the area. I'm a stickler for service but the majority of my visits have been good. One reviewer thought Troy was better but I lived close to it and hated it. Really good food and friendly servers. I like their Farm Steak and Eggs. If you're staying in Holiday Inn Tipp City, it's just a walking distance. I stayed in Holiday Inn for several weeks, so I've eaten there several times and during lunch I ordered a side of corn and I was given a side of corn. I came back for dinner and apparently I was told that they don't serve corn. I came back the next day for breakfast and they don't really serve corn. Had a dinner/breakfast at this location Friday, November 22, 2019. My Wife and I have been to this location many times, and while convenient, the food and service has been inconsistent over 10-12 visits. I fully understand this isn't fine dining, but you can generally expect full portions of decent tasting comfort food and good breakfast items. Well, last nights meal was more or less off the rails. Started off with a cup of coffee for my wife and I that was true room temperature. Even a mediocre waitress should have been able to tell it wasn't warm at all. OK, new, hot coffee was served. Then we ordered: Wife had crepes with blueberry topping and I ordered the country biscuit breakfast I have had hundreds of times at Bob Evans across the country. After a fairly long wait in a 25% full restaurant, the food comes out. Wife's plate is skimpy with only a dozen or so blueberry's in little topping and it is also room temperature. My country biscuit breakfast is just plain weird. I was really hungry so I just ate it. When we got home, my wife researched it and figured out what I had actually been served. My country biscuit breakfast was actually a weird combination of two other entrees. It began life as ham Benedict on a biscuit covered with sausage gravy with very little sausage. No cheese on top. I mentioned to the waitress that this didn't look right and she kind of giggled and mumbled something but didn't offer to do anything. Also, the home fries included were nine little potato squares. That's all. So it basically tasted OK, but was very weird, mine was also served pretty cold with very few potato's. In general, since being bought out, the entire Bob Evans chain isn't nearly as good as it was prior, that's a definite trend. This particular location, is several steps below the new average. After being a regular customer for 30+ years of the chain, I think my time is over. Cracker Barrel and IHOP are now better alternatives. Too bad, new chain ownership has ruined an Ohio Institution. read more

Wouldn't recommend. The wait to be seated is long. The wait for server is long. The wait for for is.... Seeing a pattern here. The locations nearby in Troy and Vandalia run pretty smooth. This can not be said of the location in Tipp City. Just left there with only 6 cars in parking lot and seven employees serving as severs. 15 min to be sat and finally be asked for drink order. read more

My wife and I were at the Tipp City, Ohio restaurant tonight. After waiting 1/2 hour and still not received our dinner we left. This is the 2nd time that restaurant has taken in excess of 1/2 hour to deliver. Better change the management there. Maybe I will try a third time next week?!?! read more
