A mix between fast food and sit-down restaurant. Sadly, not being able to find people to work is the newest pandemic here in the USA. This establishment was clean, we liked the eclectic decor, and the food wasn't bad. It's a bit pricey for the portion sizes, in my opinion, but that is commonplace in most food establishments at this point in time. We had the burnt ends appetizer, rib tips meal, and the combo of 2 meats - brisket and chopped pork. We both chose the burnt ends as our hands-down favorite of the meats. The cornbread muffins were also a highlight. I was recently gifted a smoker, and I will soon be smoking various meats, fish, seafood, etc. to save some $$$ by making our own at home. I've had BBQ in various places in the USA and am still searching for the one go-to for BBQ in the Toledo area.

Usually when brisket is smoked properly and you pick up a slice, it will bend with the juices dripping. This was not the case at Smokehouse 734. The brisket portion was 2 slices that barely covered a slice of bread. My serving of ribs still had the silver skin attached and had to work to get the meat off the bone - not able to pull the bone out of the meat. Ribs were a tad bit warmer than the brisket, but definitely not fresh off the smoker by any means. Cornbread was a bit dry (crumbly) but had a decent flavor. With all this said, probably the best part of my meal was the baked sweet potato at the ala carte price of $4.99. My search for a legit BBQ restaurant in NW Ohio / SE Michigan continues...

The omelette was huge and filled with lots of tasty tomatoes, onions and green peppers, all finely chopped and perfectly seasoned. Hash browns were also tucked inside the omelette. Although the cheese had been forgotten, I didn't miss it too much because the omelette itself was so delicious. The toast was served with delicious homemade strawberry jam. I could only eat half of the omelette and was given a box to take it home. My server was a very sweet young girl who kept checking to see if I needed anymore coffee and if everything tasted good. At a nearby table, a woman spilled her glass of water and people from the kitchen immediately came out to clean it up. They were extremely good spirited and reassured the embarrassed woman that it happened all the time and was no problem. The atmosphere felt very warm and welcoming. I would absolutely recommend Grace's Kitchen in Point Place as a charming spot for breakfast or lunch. It's on Summit Street across from Aunt Linda's Pet Grooming and H&R Block. While other reviews note that this is a cash-only establishment, I used a credit card both times I was there, though I left a cash tip on the table this time.

During a work trip to the Toledo area, I stopped by this place for a meal. The parking was convenient, and the ambiance gave off that classic diner vibe with plenty of seating. The staff was attentive and friendly, which made for a pleasant experience. I decided to try their hot apple cider caramel drink and the 2-piece lemon garlic chicken. For just an extra $5, I upgraded to a 3-course meal, which turned out to be a good value. The lemon chicken was tasty, though the house fries were a bit bland. The biscuits were solid, and the cheddar baked potato soup was satisfying. For dessert, I had the "Holy Cow" chocolate cake, which was delicious. It didn't occur to me that the Secor Rd Scrambler's franchise would be any different. I ordered my usual omelette with spinach, tomatoes and portobello mushrooms. When asked for my side, I selected the fresh fruit. I was asked for another side and ordered pancakes that I knew my mom would enjoy taking home. My mom ordered three eggs over easy with two sausage patties, pancakes and a fruit salad. While waiting for our orders to be prepared, it occurred to me that I wasn't asked about which potatoes I wanted. When our orders were served, I mentioned to our server that there weren't any potatoes. She said she would put in an order of potatoes and bring them out. There was no discussion about price. My mom enjoyed her meal and I enjoyed mine as well, except that I noticed there was far less spinach than usual. I didn't mention it to our server. The omelette was tasty; the fruit salad was fresh; and the potatoes that came later were plentiful and not greasy. For drinks, my mom ordered coffee and I ordered an Arnold Palmer (iced tea and lemonade). I finished my drink and wasn't offered a refill but also didn't ask. Since drinks these days run $3.99, usually the server would pretty promptly bring a refill without the need to ask. Since I realize our server was new, it wasn't a big deal. When the bill came, I was surprised to see the charge of approximately $43 before tip. In reviewing the bill, there was a charge of $4.99 for the potatoes that normally came as a side with an omelette. There was also an upcharge for the pancakes side. When I inquired about these unexpected charges, our server said she would discuss it with her manager. Upon returning, our server informed me that the manager agreed to take $1 off. To me, the $4.99 potatoes should have been comp'd as the usual omelette side. My mom didn't want me to make a fuss, so I just paid the bill but left feeling that it wasn't fair. Given that our server was new, I didn't blame her at all but did feel that the manager missed an opportunity to come out to speak with us and take more than $1 off the bill. While I might return to this Scrambler's due to its convenient location, I would be cognizant of the new charges for sides which would have otherwise been included in the brunch entree price. I also want other customers to be aware to ask the price of sides even if they are presented as part of the order. Food was overall good but the bill seemed overpriced and irked me.

While I understand that restaurants may have policies regarding large parties, the way the situation was handled felt dismissive and lacking in accommodation or effort to offer alternatives. There was no attempt to seat us other than they told us we could sit in separate sections. Good customer service includes making reasonable efforts to accommodate guests or, at the very least, communicating policies clearly and courteously. Unfortunately, this experience did not meet those expectations. I hope you will take this feedback into consideration to improve how similar situations are handled in the future.

The nicest people work there and are very welcoming and although they are always busy I never feel rushed out. They do not accept reservations or calling ahead, but do a great job managing the wait times and letting you know about how long you have until you need to wait. Definitely worth the wait time and time again! Pancakes are fluffy, coffee is hot, the people are nice, and there is so many options to choose from! The place is cozy, warm and I love going there. A true Toledo staple in my opinion! I love the scrambles!

The service was excellent. We honestly thought this was some of the best pancakes we've had in recent memory. You could say it's a little on the pricey side, before the portions, it's totally fine.
