As an out of towner this has been a better experience at a Bob Evans ... the place was pretty clean and the staff was attentative. The server was always coming by checking in. The food was delicious and hot and my chicken had the perfect amount of sauce on it which I didn't have to ask for. Everyone else at my table also mentioned how good the food was. I highly recommend this location based off my experience during a busy lunch rush on a Saturday. read more

My wife isn't feeling well and asked me to pick her up some chicken noodle soup and a couple biscuits. I called in for pickup 3 times and each time was left on hold. Grandparents (now long gone) used to take us here many years ago, so we made a point to visit while in Toledo to visit with family. We've been to BE's in Florida so we thought we knew what to expect. We got a wonderful surprise... the waitress (Shelby) was charming and very friendly. The food came and OMG. While everything was good, the sausage and bacon were absolutely amazing. I don't know if the Ohio BE's have a different supplier than the ones in FL but everyone in my party agreed this was something special. We even went to a local grocery store and got some sausage chubs that we will freeze to take home to San Diego (I hope they make it!) My peach tea almost got empty and I was going to waive down Shelby for some more and she appeared out of nowhere with a full one without asking. Due to the fact that Michigan restaurants are still closed for indoor dining, we needed to get out and because we were missing going out for Sunday brunch. The drive was only a forty minute drive from our house and it was well worth it. The restaurant is practicing social distancing, the floors are marked and each booth is covered with protective screen for social distancing. All staff and customers have to wear a mask up until you eat. The food and the service was great. It was a sight to see that the parking lot was full of Michigan cars. I just wish that they would open the restaurants in Michigan. Michigan indoor dining doesn't open until February 1st, I pray for all those who are affected by this. We may have to drive another day for our date night! It's so worth it! Something different to do! read more

Everything was good! The fried shrimp was really crispy, the potatoes were nice and creamy, and the gravy was flavorful. The sole was nicely seasoned and the veggies were good as well. The steak was cooked properly and nicely seasoned so no complaints there either. The pies were all good especially the pecan. Our waitress was great. I come in once or twice a month to get my banana pancakes and the staff is always amazing no matter who it is. My order is a bit picky so i make sure to tip well and I never have any problems with my order! It's a nice quiet space and very clean inside. read more

Ordered on line at 10:10 AM 2 cups of soup and banana bread for curbside pick up. They sent me a message stating it would be ready at 10:48. When I arrived at the restaurant I dialed their number but just kept getting a message that someone would be with me shortly. After being on hold for 8 minutes I went inside to get my order. Waited another 5 minutes before a server got my order. When I got home I was disappointed to see they gave me pumpkin bread. I know most restaurants are short on help but REALLY 51 minutes for my simple order and couldn't even get it right! They need to remove the curbside pickup option. read more

Meal was lukewarm. waitress said my meal came with banana bread did I want biscuits instead, I sad yes. meal came with toast that had so much butter on it, it was soggy. my husband asked for biscuit's. I don't know what's happened to Bob Evans as a whole in the last several years, but they have really gone down hill. My experience at most locations recently has been 3-star at best. While we were seated quickly, that's about where any trace of speed ended. We eventually had our order taken by someone, who as it turns out, wasn't even our waitress. That would've been fine, except that our waitress took over 10 minutes to slink her way over to take our order. 2 adults, 2 kids. Food came out for three of us, with my daughter left waiting on hers. My Wildfire Chicken Salad barely had a sprinkling of any toppings (including chicken) and was more a big bowl of lettuce than anything else. The "Wildfire" was practically non-existent, and when I questioned it, "well, that's just how it's served. Okay, so clearly the previous 100 times I've had this salad have all been someone taking creative liberties. My son ordered a side of honey mustard. I watched the waitress stand in the open kitchen area for over 5 minutes, chatting and laughing with her co-workers, before she ever bothered to get his honey mustard (I was about 30 seconds from getting up and walking up there). After that, we didn't see her again until well after we'd finished eating. I'd promised the kids desserts, so they ordered those and we waited some more (pie and a sundae). The manager eventually strolled over to see how everything was. Slow. Slow is how it was. He ended up going to the kitchen and making the sundae himself. We ended up getting a 10% discount on our meal (didn't ask for it) and while that was nice, it didn't make up for the time and beyond mediocre service. The service was very nice but overall the food was gross. I ordered a pot roast sandwich and when I picked it up it fell apart, my home fry potatoes tasted like plastic and my French fries were mushy and not tasteful what so ever. If I could give them 0 stars I would. I placed an order for lunch online and was told by their system my order would be ready at 1pm. I got there right on time with the expectation that my food would be ready and I would just pay for my food and go. As soon as I paid, the shift manager (Brian) gave instruction to make my order. I honestly had great service here at Bob Evans. Our waitress was very nice and she came to our table plenty of times. Both the exterior and interior were both neat and clean. I tried their "Carmel Mocha" drink and it tasted amazing. If you like coffee with whipped cream and chocolate on top then you would like this. I always like Bob Evans breakfast options, there is a lot to choose from and it always tastes good. They also have plenty of lunch and dinner options to choose from. Our family likely utilized Bob Evans 2 - 3 times a week for carry out meals for ourselves, and my elderly mother. It was always delicious and reliable. This has not had the case for past year. Many favorites taken off the menu, orders wrong almost every time, and many times served food that tased old and cold. Last time we ordered the new crispy chicken - it was cold wet, and burned. Repeatedly I have given them a pass with all the changes with Covid 19, but this is just ridiculous. If this restaurant thinks business is down because of Covid, they are just fooling themselves. People still want good food. If the quality had not declined, we would be going there 3 times a week - not once a month - maybe. Please fix things while you still can. We go here pretty regularly. Have never had any issues that couldn't be resolved. Sure, during the church rush on Sundays it can be a little slow, but it gives us time to visit and relax. Love the different seasonal breads! They have a great kids menu which makes this mama and her babies happy. Love going here for breakfast! Everyone is always very friendly. The food and service were ok. Better than the free breakfast at the hotel, not quite as good as Cracker Barrel. Quantities were ample. Our experience was sadly ruined by a group of men a couple tables over who couldn't seem to complete a sentence without using profanity. I'm no prude when it comes to that. As a veteran and a guy who once owned a car repair shop, I can cuss with the best of 'em. Upon walking in, 5 staff members including the manager stared at me while I waited a good 30 seconds for them to finish their personal conversation before seating me. Waitresses were screaming at each other across the restaurant and being extremely loud. While I was there, two different tables complained that they needed their checks and couldn't find their servers. My waitress, Mia, was polite, friendly and did a nice job. The food was mediocre as it usually is at Bob Evans. Given the choice I would have gone elsewhere but this is the only breakfast restaurant in the area. Placed carry out order, was told 20 minutes. Arrived 20 minutes later to be told printers were down & would be ready in 5 minutes. Half hour later finally received take out. 2 weeks later placed another carry out order for breakfast. Arrived at restaurant and food was ready. When we got home our country biscuit breakfast had no meat which is suppose to come with sausage. After 2 bad experiences decided to call the manager. Manager apologized after talking with carry out cashier & said will send out coupons for your incorrect order & inconvenience. It is now 3 weeks since talking to manager & nothing in the mail. You shouldn't commit to making bad experience into a better experience & not follow through. My opinion of all bob evans has now changed for the worst. I have never been so disappointed with this restaurant than tonight. Extremely slow service. Was given wrong orders twice and also forgot 3 different items we asked for even after being told about it. Still didn't receive part of our order at all. Manager didn't seem to care that there was no toliet paper in woman's restroom, the register wasn't working and people were complaining and customers not being helped.
