We always come to Longhorn every time we come visit my mother in law. We originally wanted Indian food but they were closed on Sunday so we chose our true and good spot. This place never lets us down. It's always great food, great service and never disappoints. There was a small wait at check in being Sunday with the after church crowd. The people waiting were all dressed up in their Sunday's best. Our hostess seated us and we ordered our drinks with our waitress. I decided to try the Spinach dip which was highly recommended by a fellow Yelper. I'm so glad I tried it because it was delicious! It's the best appetizer I had: Ever! It was hot and cheesy with bold delicious flavors and the pita was large and perfectly fried and crispy. I will order this every time we go! I decided on a burger because I was craving one. I opted for the salad instead of fries with their delicious homemade ranch dressing. My burger was so big, I could barely take a bite. I ate half and took the rest home. It was cooked to my liking: medium well and was good, no complaints. My husband's steak was the winner. He gave me a small bite and I started to regret my choices. I think I will get the steak next time. It was to die for. We had another wonderful dinner here. Our waitress was great! Our food was great. The price was great! We will be back next time we are in town. The reason it did not get 5 stars: bathroom needed cleaned and the ribs were not available. I am writing to express my disappointment with the experience my group and I had at your restaurant recently. We arrived with a party of 10 people (6 adults & 4 children), looking forward to dining together to celebrate my sons birthday. However, we were refused service on the basis of our group size. While I understand that restaurants may have policies regarding large parties, the way the situation was handled felt dismissive and lacking in accommodation or effort to offer alternatives. There was no attempt to seat us other than they told us we could sit in separate sections. Good customer service includes making reasonable efforts to accommodate guests or, at the very least, communicating policies clearly and courteously. Unfortunately, this experience did not meet those expectations. I hope you will take this feedback into consideration to improve how similar situations are handled in the future. read more

I had been to this restaurant more than a month ago and thought I had already posted a review... But since I couldn't find a review, here goes based on my memory. My friend had recommended Longhorn because of a very positive experience and so I agreed to give it a try. We normally meet for an early dinner, so I didn't think reservations were necessary (and am not sure if the restaurant takes reservations), but it was very crowded when we arrived. There wasn't too long a wait for a table, but service wasn't fast - which was okay for my friend and me because we were busy catching up with each other. The ambiance is that of a typical low-lit steakhouse. I recall that it was pleasant but nothing over the top memorable. We had a leisurely dinner and both ordered the salmon dinner. Both were pleased with our entrees. In comparison to other local restaurants, the salmon was very slightly below the meal I had at one restaurant but definitely above a salmon meal at another restaurant that would be considered by many to be higher level (and more expensive). We had a very nice experience dining at the Talmadge Road restaurant in Toledo and I would definitely recommend it. Dinner tonight at the Longhorn. We were seated immediately and a moment later our waitress came over and took our drink order. Drinks came so we placed our order for dinner. The Caesar salad was very good, as we finished our entrees came out. My wife enjoy her ribeye as I thoroughly enjoyed the pork chops, they were excellent. Our waitress was top notch and helpful with our choices. They were very busy but what I did see the inside was very clean. An enjoyable evening. read more

Then when we finally got seated, they tried to put us at a dirty table that clearly hadn't even been cleaned yet. We usually love this place but today was the absolute worst experience ever. We got there shortly after they opened for lunch. Right away, our waitress mixed up our drinks. No big deal. We ordered. Our food took 45 minutes to come and there were hardly any people in the restaurant. My soup was cold. My steak salad had bleeding raw steak when I ordered medium. Our waitress never came back to check on us. I sent the steak pieces back with another server to microwave them. Kitchen brought them back very well done. Husband had wings/said they were ok. We were there last night, which was 1 6 2025. I think the meat may have been very good but unfortunately the chef drowned any possible taste of meat with an overbearing, salty, peppery spice rub. It was almost inedible and took 4 drink refills to get through the meal. My wife and I ordered different cuts (she had the filet, I did ribeye) and the results were the same. If I wanted overbearing spices, I could have gone to Outback and saved a few bucks. We have been here 20+ times in the last few years, and this was the one and only time I wished I had picked a different restaurant. The waitress came back to check on us when we were 2/3 through the meal and we told her that it was awful. She said this result is chef-dependent, which I am sure it was true. When we were a few bites from finished, she said they could make us new steaks. We were satiated by then and declined. I should have stopped after a few bites and told them it was awful. Suggest anyone going there, ask for no rub or light rub. read more

We were in a party of 6. We were seated and drink orders taken at 6:05PM. Drinks came out spotty and two were forgotten by the server. Another server came by with drinks and check in on us. Our server was clearly struggling and she admitted to have taken some Benadryl earlier. We watched other groups and tables come and go and we still had no food. Our dinner orders finally came at 7:44PM. One of the party guests asked the server if management would consider making our drinks free and she laughed and said, "They can't even afford toilet paper!" My food came out and was just what I wanted and cooked perfectly. Others had items they didn't request and were missing side items. Rather than prolong the wait, we powered through. Lonehorn on Talmadge was horrible. My daughter & I got the chop steak, came out charred over cooked, my other daughter got a sirloin steak (charred too) & we've been sick all night. Check the beef might be spoiled. Did not enjoy my food even the potatoes..nasty. Our server Stephanie was rude & smart mouth. We actually got our table & waited for 10-15 minutes before anybody even acknowledged us. No water No bread, NO NOTHING, just servers walking pass us. I hadn't been to a sit down restaurant for quite some time, so this was a treat. Our waitress was friendly and on point for delivering our drinks, appetizers and drinks. I ordered a ribeye and it smelled delicious. After a few bites it turned out to be heavily salty. My friend's NY strip wasn't at all salty. Whatever marinade that they used for the ribeye helped make it very tender, but overwhelmed me with the taste of salt. Maybe they should find another that doesn't. However, the next morning I found that I had left my debit card at the restaurant. Online and door said the restaurant opened at 11:00 a.m. so I went to the location. I've enjoyed eating at Longhorn for many years but unfortunately , dining experiences with them in the past year have been fair to horrible.I always order their NY Strip or Ribeye medium rare and only had 1 issue with overcooking but recently, they have all been so salty & over seasoned that it's inedible. Even the broccoli tastes like a salt lick. Now , when I order, I have to tell servers that I don't want any salt or seasoning on steak. But even with that, I've still ended up with super salty meat. How they can over season their food to such an extreme degree? Do they not taste what they send out of the kitchen? Used to rave about LongHorn's great tasty steaks to all my family & friends but not anymore- they too had the same over seasoned ridiculously salty experience. Took 12 min to be greeted... ordered water and bread, that took 7 min to get that. and then ordered a lunch size salad with no chicken and a cup of French onion soup that then took 41 minutes came with chicken didn't have time to remake it box of crap up and left if I didn't love their French onion soup I would've never waited. The waitress was prompt and friendly. She also brought us a bread plate with butter as soon as we placed our orders. I ordered the 12oz. ribeye because it was the most flavorful according to the menu. It came with a salad and a side, or two sides. You could also pay an up charge and get different side options. The cut of steak was beautiful. Not too fatty, seasoned evenly. My only complaint was the seasoning was a little heavy, making it spicy. I tasted the mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, French fries, and the salad (with French dressing). The mashed potatoes were divine; creamy, savory with a little sweetness. The macaroni and cheese was flavorful and a good serving size. The mac and cheese does have bacon in it. The French fries were seasoned and nice and crunchy. And the salad was your average house salad with croutons. The dressing was tasty. The waitress was quick to refill our drinks and after we were finished eating, she cleared our table and offered us dessert (which we had no room for). Will definitely be back again. read more

My favorite mid priced chain steakhouse used to be Texas roadhouse. They went to crap. The last four I've tried in a row or completely unacceptable for numerous reasons. Then I latched on to outback which is still a pretty good place but their steaks have gone downhill. It used to be that you could get the same quality steaks no matter which location you were at but that is no longer the case. As a matter fact it's not even the case night tonight at the same location. Enough of that though. Longhorn steakhouse is the bomb when it comes to chain steak houses! All of their food is exceptional especially the wild west shrimp appetizer. But to be real we go there for the steak. Not only has it not suffered one bit but it has actually improved! How they keep the flavor of a New York strip but it's so tender it cuts almost like a fillet is beyond me. Don't get me wrong, it still has enough chew that it is definitely a New York strip in the mouth. Everything else here was spot on also from the attention to detail when it comes to cleanliness to the wonderful service. If you haven't been in a while do yourself a favor and don't take my word for it. You won't be sorry. read more

Visited this location on 06/03/2023. Arrived at 4:30 and was seated in the bar area. It was very warm in there and I was a bit surprised. There seemed to be one waitress handling all those tables. While she was polite the load was too big for her. Our service suffered. I ordered an iced tea and when I drank it, there was a very odd taste. Almost chemical like. The waitress suggested I wasn't used to strong tea. We put in an app and orders. The salads were good. The next thing we know we had our entrees. I inquired about the app and the waitress said someone else must have took it?? They were training new wait staff. I said fine, we don't need it. My steak was fine. The normal fare for a chain steakhouse. My wife's steak had a line of sinew/fat running through it. She really only had a few bites. Lastly she gave us the wrong check and walked away. We got it sorted and left. Luckily my dogs ate the remaining steak because they had the teeth to chew through it. We were still hungry so we split nuggets from Chik-fil-a. Wow. Environment was a hard C+, but food was an A, and service was an absolute A++++++. I cannot begin to stress enough how fantastic of a server Conner, or Connor - or however it's spelled - was. This young bespectacled man went above and completely beyond my girlfriend and I's expectations. We were out for a mellow evening, celebrating our anniversary/birthday/funeral for our recently departed dachshund, and Connor brought our dinner to life. Server finishes conversation with gentlemen, then tells me, " sorry, have r To move you back to 3, there is no server for this zone"!!? The "zone" must be booths 1&2, cause she wants us back in 3. Back with the children, I say. Sorry. Me too! So we relocate so as not to screw up their zone defense. To J. Alexander's! I have hearing aids, and even down low they amplify high pitches and background noise. But I'm dumbfounded that a server could work the table kitty corner to us in 3, but not kitty corner in 1. Lack of service!!! Sat at the table for over 10 minutes without ANYONE coming to our table at all. There appeared to be more employees than customers, so it was getting pretty annoying. My wife went to the hostess stand and asked if anyone was going to help us. Another couple minutes passed without ANYONE coming again. We got up, put our jackets on and went to leave. I noticed a waitress walking towards our table, she stopped halfway there looking lost as to why we were leaving. As we got to the hostess stand, there were FIVE, yes 5 employees standing there talking. I told them to Nevermind about our table as we obviously didn't want to be helped. Not a word out of any of their mouths. I was completely blown away by this lack of service, and lack of caring as we usually dine here, and haven't had issues. This was completely unacceptable, especially this time of year, and the place was next to dead. We went to the dussel drive location. Was seated and helped in less than a minute. And just as I am finishing this review, I already have my chowder. Ridiculous to say the least.
