Today, I needed a break. A boba break. Enter Boba Break Tea House! I found this place through Yelp and decided to give it a try. It's a cute little place with some nice décor and a simple design. Their menu is simple and straightforward. When I arrived, there was one person in front of me, who told me to go ahead, so I ordered pretty quickly and my drink was ready within minutes. I decided to go with the regular Heartbreaker which is strawberry, lychee green tea with lychee jelly. It was delicious and hit the spot. I did notice the ice cubes were kind of small and melted quickly, making it difficult to get to the lychee jelly without chewing a bunch of ice as well. Overall, a pleasant experience! read more

Boba Break Tea House is my go-to spot for boba in Rancho Cucamonga. I have been here more times than I can count, and it never disappoints. The fruit flavors are my favorite, always fresh tasting and perfectly sweet without being too much. The inside of the shop is pretty small, so it is definitely more of a grab-and-go kind of place, but that works just fine for me. The staff is always friendly, and they get the drinks out quickly. So I got this party started with one of their weekly wows which was the mango matcha magic that came with of course mango bits swirled with matcha and milk tea topped with sea salt cream. This was definitely refreshing on a warm summers day along with a little natural pick me up. I also got the suit and Thai which of course you can guess it came with Thai tea and milk tea with one of my favorite toppings egg pudding. Both drinks were on hit and there's more to explore on the menu. The was good and the shop is cute for what little space it's working with. I only found out that they were out of boba until the other employee who prepared my drink told me they were all out. I didn't get light ice. Instead I got like 90% ice. Very disappointed. I came in yesterday 30 min before closing on 7/14 and the girl working in the back gave me such a whatever look. You can tell she hates her job. The other lady helping me wasn't much better. For the first time, my drink came out mediocre. Such a turn off, the drink was bad and I got bad service. Makes me not want to return ever again. With so many options now in RC, the owners or managers need to train their employees and find out what's making them so unhappy to give customers who are perfectly civil, such unkind looks and below average customer service. The place wasn't teaming with anyone where I could chalk it up to stress. The other times I've been here, the girls working were nice. ETA - I guess this place has gone downhill cuz I see a bunch of bad reviews related to the taste of the drinks and the customer service. I am usually a pretty big fan of Boba Break! I always get the Heartbreaker or the milk icees and I have no complaints. Great portions, flavor, and toppings. Easy pick up when you order online! This visit I decided to adventure out a bit and try their Daydream Lemonade. I ordered a large, 50% sweet, and added lychee bits. The drink tasted like they liquified a bag of sour Skittles dust and added a hint of green tea & dragonfruit flavoring in there. This drink was EXTREMELY SOUR. I was expecting more of a sweet and tangy lemonade taste, but this actually made me pucker from how sour it was. It was really difficult to drink and I ended up having to dilute it at home with more green tea. I think I will stick to the Heartbreaker and my milk icee orders... Boba Break is a tea lovers dream! There are so many creative flavors for tea. For the speciality teas they offer a lot of different mixtures of different teas. For me I usually gravitate for milk tea probably 80% of the time I go to a tea shop, but this place has me split because there are just so many good combinations of tea to try. For the flavors I've tried are Heart Breaker, Daydream Lemonade, POG, Seaside, Salted Carmel milk tea, Suit & Thai & Dirty milk tea. For tea I would say the Heart Breakers is a great fruit tea to try, the added additions of lychee and strawberry bits is really gives it that extra touch of perfection. I also liked the Daydream Lemonade , though I would probably add fruit and jelly to it next time. My favorite milk tea is the Salted Carmel, the taste and the salted foam at the top really makes it great. Suit & Thai is good though not too different from a Thai tea aside from the egg pudding. For all speciality tea 25% is more than enough the drinks come with syrups already. Lastly Seaside is good option if you like fresh milk or milk tea. I would almost be curious to see at no added sugar is still has a good level of sweetness. Out of the three locations this is my favorite. I think this is the one you can sit at and enjoy when we can return to dinning inside. The location inside Glendora Public market is great also if your looking to get some good food along with your boba. For many reason at this given time Boba Break is my favorite tea shop. The menu and tea combination are so creative and most importantly great tasting. There are still so many drinks to try and I am up for the challenge. read more

I tried their passion fruit slushee with light boba in a regular sized container and smiled real big. This is a small, cute boba spot with free wifi and great boba. It's a little out of the way for me, but I'd definitely stop in again. The service was a little slow but I didn't mind because the space had a real cozy feel with hygge decor that made waiting enjoyable. The employees are super nice and it's not that they're slow, per se, but I think they were slammed when we got there. Somewhere in the corner there's a bunch of board games for patrons to enjoy. Stopped by Boba Break on a hot afternoon after a shopping trip in the area. The offerings from this shop are fantastic. There were four of us, so we ended up with a variety of different refreshing beverages. The frozen lemonade, with the option of adding different flavors was perfect! Not too sweet or too tart. The one who got that loved it! One of us got a fruit smoothie and enjoyed it too. One other got a milk tea, while the last one a custom fruit tea. The only thing none of us was really excited about was the boba - it didn't have any flavor and was a little tough. Employees were patient with our questions, polite and professional. I have been a long time customer and believe in supporting local businesses especially during "Covid" but perhaps this is one establishment that needs to close. Had 4-5 employees working the counter in small establishment when trying to place my order. I simply asked to combine my 5 stamps cards but due to "Covid" the young gentlemen told me he couldn't pass the cards back and forth. I am so happy to have a boba place near me! They have varieties of tea and add-ons. I no longer need to drive all the way to Rowland for good milk tea boba. I absolutely love how you can choose the sweetness for the drinks. You can choose 0%, 25% I think, 75% or 100% sweetness. This helps because it doesn't have to taste all sugary. I love the almond tea with boba. The boba has a perfect texture. You have two options to order; one is to order inside (limit of 2 people inside) or you can order it online and they will leave it outside on the table with the receipt attached with your name. Won an instagram contest and came to try this place out :D! Their drink sizes are similar to Half and Half's cups, so their regular goes a long way. I'd personally never get large because it would be way too much, but the option is there if you want it. The menu is a little tricky to see from where the line forms, but they have little foldout menus that you can look at while you're waiting in line. You can't place phone orders or go inside so just go on their Instagram and click on the website in their bio to order or scan on the bar code on the door and it will take you to the ordering site. Such a cute little boba place and the cashier chick was uber friendly. We came here because of the positive yelp reviews and gorgeous instagram worthy photos of their famed butterfly tea. I ordered a glass bottle, which includes a drink for free. It has a condensation free feature because of the double layers, and bamboo top lid. You can bring it back and get 25% off drinks. Second time here! I ordered a winter melon milk tea with boba. It wasn't the best. Couldn't taste the winter melon at all. I asked them to fix it and they did without hesitation but the flavor just wasn't there. The drinks in general are lightly sweetened and kinda bland in my opinion. Cute intimate boba shop. Come during off peak hours for a nice quiet hang out. There are tables that is perfect for two people. After school is a bit more crowded and hectic with the local high schoolers dropping by for their afternoon refresher and pick me upper. This place is one of the very first boba shops that started to offer alternative nondairy substitutes years ago before it became "trendy." That alone deserves 5 stars! Their drink size are pretty big, unlike the large chain boba shops. Size is comparable to what you would get at a Half n Half boba shop. It will not fit in your typical car cup holder! Staff are friendly and service is quick. I've done both in store order and app orders with no issues. Some of my family favorites are the specialty teas, our go to orders generally consist of Heartbreaker, Fuzzy, Thug Passion, POG, traditional Thai Tea, Matcha milk tea. Boba Break Tea House just had its soft opening on Thursday 4/5/2018. They took over the spot where Crepe n' Berry used to be on the same side as Bad Ass Coffee (between Mathnasium and the nail salon). Since their opening day, I've been here 4 times already. LOL 4/5: Ordered Sunset Ave + Flower Bomb 4/7: Ordered Suit and Thai + Original Lime Moteato 4/13: Ordered POG + Flower Bomb (again) 4/22: Ordered Thug Passion + Butterfly Lemonade Their regular size drinks are $3.95 (prices vary by drink). With tax, I spend about $8.53 for 2 drinks. Ask for a Customer Loyalty Card! If you buy 9 drinks, you get the 10th for free! I'm almost there! The location itself is not very big. There are tables and stools inside and a couple tables outside (dog friendly!). Parking is never an issue. Since this location is close to schools, busy times are afternoon and especially Fridays (I experienced this first hand when I was here Friday 4/13 around 4:15PM LOL). Note they do offer student discounts! I wanted to try more drinks before writing this review so now that I have, I can say that I love this place. My husband DOES NOT LIKE boba, but he really likes the Flower Bomb with strawberry popping boba and the butterfly lemonade. Their boba is soft and chewy and their tea taste like tea. To me their drinks are not too sweet, but you can always ask them to adjust your drink. Their menu is pretty creative and modern and not so traditional. Their kitchen is not set up for food, but they do have crepes on their menu. What's cool is the Butterfly Pea Tea! The bright blue petals from the flowers are used to make tea. The tea is a very deep blue and will turn purple when the pH balance changes. So when they put it in the lemonade it changes colors. So cool! With other boba tea places in the city, I still found myself driving all the way to Upland to go to Tpumps, but now that Boba Break opened, I found my new local tea place, especially since I can walk here from my house! This is one of the better boba places in the Rancho Cucamonga area with ample parking spots in the plaza. I was originally in the area getting coffee two doors down and saw this place and came back the next day to try it out. 5 stars goes to the way they're making ordering/pickup completely contactless during this pandemic. Order online where you can adjust sweetness levels, ice, toppings, etc. You can schedule your pickup time for ASAP or later on. Then it tells you how many people are in line ahead of you which was really cool. I had 3 people ahead of me and my order was ready in 10 min on a Sunday afternoon. You get a text when your order is ready and which table it is placed on outside (1 or 2) 4 stars goes to the overall drinks. We ordered 3 of the "Heartbreaker" 2 of which we did 50% sweetness and 1 we did 25% sweetness. All were extremely sweet that we had to dilute by adding ice when we got home. I usually order my drinks at 25% sweet but this felt like it was at 75%. The drink flavor itself was really good tho! I'd be back but probably order my drink with 0% sweetness read more
