Probably just bad timing but my milk cha lavender boba came out very hot, and for milk cha the lavender flavor was not dairy based? I just found out that there is a new boba place opened up in Old Town Pasadena area couple days ago and decided to try it out. I have to say there are tons of boba places in Pasadena, but BoBa ChaCha definitely made it to my favorite boba places in Pasadena! I tried the Mocha Latte with boba and it's definitely hit the spot. I personally love coffee and boba and apparently they have a perfect one for me on their menu. The coffee was strong and the mix with boba is just perfect. I'm excited to come back and try their macha and taro, which I heard is pretty good. They also have variety of desserts. My favorite is the s'mores with chocolate chip brownies. They have a beautiful space and many chairs where you can hangout with your friends, do your homework or just sipping some boba. Let me start first by saying the girl at the cashier can sell! She's super friendly with just enough suggestive power to not offend me. Teas were flavorful but a little weak on the tea strength but the boba was cooked well and had a great chew. They have all alternative dairy substitutes (soy, almond and oat milk). So far the place is super clean and they pick up pretty quick once you're done. There's a private building w/ parking in the building next to it for $4 for 20 mins. I got the camellia green tea as a back up and it was better than the matcha, but nothing I would come back for. The fruit jelly topping was good. We booked BoBa ChaCha for my Sunday 10/30/22 wedding with 240 guests in Pasadena. It's common knowledge that I'm a boba aficionado, so all the guests were expecting something amazing. BobaChacha definitely delivered! From the tasting and choosing of our drink menu, to the insightful suggestions for both caffeinated and non-caffeinated drinks (that strawberry milk!!) and their topping pairings (I.e this boba or this fruit would go well with a certain tea), we were all impressed with the quality and personal touch that Preeya, the shop owner, gave! We printed our own stickers for our wedding and she was even willing to stick all the stickers onto each cup, and deliver all the drinks to our venue. Our menu was: - Mango green tea with rainbow jelly - Signature boba milk - less sweet - Strawberry milk - Thai milk tea with boba - Black milk tea with boba - less sweet - Mixed berries with crystal boba - Peach oolong with popping boba The only comment was that we weren't able to get a picture of the boba table setup because the delivery was a bit later than expected. So I ordered the Army Cha Cha to start off with because it came with espresso and matcha mixed together. After my first sip I was like, Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! The coffee hit me first but then the matcha softly toned it down a little bit and that made it a perfect blend. So next I had their recommended Boba Cha Cha that had a blend of black tea with vanilla seeds. This was very interesting for a milk tea and it was very soft with its flavor and aftertaste. Both drink were true winners and on point with taste and flavor. Moving onto the aesthetics and if you know me I'm all about those super cute shops that pair well with the drink. Most delicious boba spot! I drive to Pasadena just for it. They make all of their bobas in house and only use purées instead of syrups. They brew their teas fresh and you can definitely taste the difference. The staff is helpful in helping you create the perfect drink for you. It's such a cute place.
