I have specific safety needs and allergies, and she handled everything with such grace and professionalism. She was clear, direct, and supported me through every action of the process without ever overwhelming me. What I deeply appreciated out most was how naturally she accommodated my needs. There wasn't a moment where I felt like an inconvenience. Instead, I felt genuinely cared for. Le's passion for her craft is unmistakable. She shared how she has studied flavors extensively, traveling to Vietnam and Taiwan to deepen her understanding of traditional techniques and flavor profiles. That dedication shines through in every sip. She explained how she carefully develops her own recipes, blending cultural influences with precision and creativity. Even the boba itself is made fresh every morning, which makes a huge difference. I can taste the quality, texture, and freshness immediately. I started with the taro milk tea (with almond milk due to my allergies), and it was absolutely phenomenal. The drink was luxuriously creamy with a silky, smooth texture that coated the palate in the most satisfying way. The taro flavor was rich and earthy with a subtle nuttiness, balanced by a gentle sweetness that never became overpowering. Just when it seemed like it might lean too sweet, the creaminess would round everything out perfectly, creating a beautifully harmonious flavor profile. Adding the boba elevated the experience even more. The pearls were soft yet chewy, with just the right amount of bounce, and carried a delicate sweetness that complemented the drink rather than competing with it. It was, without question, the best taro milk tea I've ever had. Next, I tried the "Over the Rainbow," and it was just as impressive in a completely different way. This drink was bright, vibrant, and incredibly refreshing. The tartness of the lemonade provided a crisp, zesty backbone, while the popping boba added bursts of sweetness that danced across the tongue. Each sip was layered and dynamic, cool, tangy, sweet, and slightly effervescent in feeling. Both drinks were so good that I drank them down almost immediately! I didn't even think to take a photo! To top it all off, Analise, who helped me at checkout, was equally kind and accommodating. She continued the same level of care and attentiveness, making sure my safety needs were respected and that I felt comfortable throughout the entire experience. I wanted a little milk tea treat and after running some errands I came across Boba Monkey. I decided to place and order for pick up instead to save some time, so I chose the ube matcha with boba. When I got there it was ready for me which was great, but the coloring really threw me off. No vibrant hues of green or purple as you'd expect from an Ube Matcha milk tea and the taste was really off putting, something in it tasted burnt? I really like the little kiosk stand and the barista was really friendly but man was that drink bad, I brought it home and dumped it out. For the cost, I was really disappointed and I don't think I will be making it back. read more

I believe a previous bubble tea vendor operated out of this shack before Boba Monkey did. The menu offered iced coffee, matcha, milk tea, slushes, and specialty drinks in regular and large sizes. For a place with minimal overhead costs, the prices were high with a range from $6.50 to $8.50. Toppings were $1 or $2 apiece. From the list of five Milk Teas, I picked a large size of the first one which was the namesake Boba Monkey Milk Tea. I requested less ice, normal sugar, and the addition of boba pearls. The cup was a 20 oz serving, and the total was over $10 after tax and gratuity. I didn't find this milk tea to be anything more than ordinary. There wasn't a strong tea flavor, and the boba pearls were average for chewiness. You may also have to drive around the side streets before locating a curbside spot if the ones directly in front were occupied. For the quality and cost of the product I tried, I gave a generous three star rating for Boba Monkey. read more

It's right on the corner, easy to notice driving by on Adams, with easy side street parking The ambiance was brimming with excitement. There's a little outdoor seating on Adams. This was gross for a lack of better words. - ube cremé coffee (0/5) as a fan of sweet coffee and a sucker for ube cremé/foam... NO. The ube was bland and tasted grainy. Which is odd because usually Iueb creme/foam is made with ube extract. There was also a sprinkle of some kind of powder on top of the cremé. It did nothing for it. The coffee was not it. - see my pictures for color of my NOT mixed drinks. Matcha was the color of dirt. Finally, a real boba restaurant on Adams! We were excited to see how quickly this place opened up. We ordered the SaiGon Sunrise Ca Phe and the Ube Crème Coffee, and both lived up to their names. The Saigon is their spin on a classic Vietnamese iced coffee sweet and milky with a hint of caramel. The standout for us was definitely the Ube Crème Coffee, with its sweet coconut notes and purple foam on top! If sweet coffee is your thing then this place is perfect for you! All three drinks were on point, the taro had the perfect taste & sweetness and the boba was cooked perfectly. The Over The Rainbow was hit, it was refreshing drink. My daughter was a big fan of it too. Small booth like stand in the corner of a pretty crowded street (no street parking!) got the banana cream matcha and it completely lacked any matcha flavor:( mostly tasted the banana cream and heavy on the milk. What a charming little spot! Love the monkey and the convenient area. My husband and I stopped by after a long soccer tournament and Boba Monkey was able to help with our thirst.
