    Strawberry Milk Tea

Great shop to swing by! Excellent customer service and drinks. Highly recommend to anyone in the area.

This is a kiosk on a random corner next to a barber shop just west of I-15 in the Normal Heights neighborhood. I believe a previous bubble tea vendor operated out of this shack before Boba Monkey did. The menu offered iced coffee, matcha, milk tea, slushes, and specialty drinks in regular and large sizes. For a place with minimal overhead costs, the prices were high with a range from $6.50 to $8.50. Toppings were $1 or $2 apiece. From the list of five Milk Teas, I picked a large size of the first one which was the namesake Boba Monkey Milk Tea. I requested less ice, normal sugar, and the addition of boba pearls. The cup was a 20 oz serving, and the total was over $10 after tax and gratuity. I didn't find this milk tea to be anything more than ordinary. There wasn't a strong tea flavor, and the boba pearls were average for chewiness. You may also have to drive around the side streets before locating a curbside spot if the ones directly in front were occupied. For the quality and cost of the product I tried, I gave a generous three star rating for Boba Monkey.

My cousin and I walked here from his house He saw it on the way home and wanted to go. There was a line when we arrived. So many other locals in the neighborhood walked here, excited about having our own boba place. It opened a week ago on 8/8 The owner Le, was so excited about all the locals coming to her Boba Monkey stand Le is so personable and resourceful. She recommended some restaurants to try. It's right on the corner, easy to notice driving by on Adams, with easy side street parking The ambiance was brimming with excitement. There's a little outdoor seating on Adams. Milk alternatives include Soy, Almond and Oatmilk. The Strawberry Matcha Boba is made with fresh strawberries Come on over and join the excitement!

    Flavorless Taro Milk Tea

The most flavorless drink I've had since discovering water. The Taro Milk Tea with Boba was beyond flavorless, felt like I was drinking air. Incredibly disappointed.

Parking - no designated parking. May the odds not be in your favor to find a place to park within reasonable distance Menu - good size menu - Lots of options. On the pricier side for matcha/coffee/add ons ($2+) Service - friendly, but nothing special - drinks did take a long time tho Drinks - strawberry matcha latte (0/5) boba disintegrated. Could not taste matcha. - ube matcha latte (0/5) i felt like i just went up to someone's yard and took a bite of their grass. This was gross for a lack of better words. - ube cremé coffee (0/5) as a fan of sweet coffee and a sucker for ube cremé/foam... NO. The ube was bland and tasted grainy. Which is odd because usually Iueb creme/foam is made with ube extract. There was also a sprinkle of some kind of powder on top of the cremé. It did nothing for it. The coffee was not it. - see my pictures for color of my NOT mixed drinks. Matcha was the color of dirt. Overall - 1/5 for a cute storefront - I would not recommend - Not worth the mission to find a parking space.

Ube Crème Coffee & SaiGon Sunrise Ca Phe

Finally, a real boba restaurant on Adams! We were excited to see how quickly this place opened up. We ordered the SaiGon Sunrise Ca Phe and the Ube Crème Coffee, and both lived up to their names. The Saigon is their spin on a classic Vietnamese iced coffee sweet and milky with a hint of caramel. The standout for us was definitely the Ube Crème Coffee, with its sweet coconut notes and purple foam on top! If sweet coffee is your thing then this place is perfect for you! Thanks for the great customer service - looking forward to coming here again :) P.S - Yes, parking in the area can be sparse but that's the case for most restaurants along Adams, so it's hardly fair to hold it against a great new business like this.

Super cute and a great new addition to Adams Ave. The girls loved the rainbow drink with crystal boba. Saigon coffee was strong like Vietnamese coffee should be! I found easy parking right around the corner at the park. If you already found yourself on Adams Ave by one of the many bars or restaurants take its just a few blocks down.

Over The Rainbow w/ rainbow poppers

We tried Boba Monkey for the first time and it did not disappoint. We ordered the Taro Milk Tea w/ boba, Over The Rainbow w/ rainbow poppers, and The Nitro Crack Coffee. All three drinks were on point, the taro had the perfect taste & sweetness and the boba was cooked perfectly. The Over The Rainbow was hit, it was refreshing drink. My daughter was a big fan of it too. Let's talk about the Nitro Crack Coffee, my husband finished that drink within minutes, I couldn't even take a photo of it. :) It was literally that good, it's his to go coffee! We are now regulars now. If you're ever in the area, stop by this cute boba stand and give them a try.

Just tried the new Boba spot in our neighborhood and I'm OBSESSED! The Taro milk tea is creamy, the right amount of sweetness, and utterly delicious. A great edition to our neighborhood.

Expired boba, booth empty for 10 min, and the service was very unenthusiastic and almost felt like a bother ordering our drinks.

There was plenty of parking on the main street as well as the side streets. It is tucked away behind an automotive shop, but you can easily find it by the sign/banner that says "Coffee!" I was greeted right away, and perused the menu. I decided to get the old fashioned cold brew, with a breakfast burrito, all totaling $11. The space is comfortably decorated, with oldies playing in the background, artwork on the wall, healthy, happy plants, a bookshelf for bookworms like me, and even a vending machine with healthy snacks! My first time trying a cold brew with citrus - it pleasantly surprised me. Very refreshing. The border style breakfast burrito hit the spot with eggs, potato, and two kinds of flavorful salsa. I asked the gentleman behind the counter how long they had been there. He said it will be almost 2 years there. I liked everything about this space. I hope they stay for another 2 years and beyond. Consider giving De Corazon some love, too!

I paid about $10 for a cold brew old fashioned (orange is nicely present, bitter in the right way with a touch of sweetness) and a pork tamale (seasoned the whole way through, a touch of spice that's really pleasant. The salsa is more like a thick hot sauce, spicy and tomato-y). Would order both again! There are a few small tables, and they were setting up a back courtyard space for an art exhibition.

I'm talking about that 'scream it from the mountaintops' level of adulation and praise. Like a book that stunned you to your core and the only way to relive that feeling is to get others to read it as well. University Coffee is that book. Proudly on display right around the corner. I was recommended this coffee spot by a fellow gym goer after a heated game of pick-up basketball. She told me she basically lives there (turns out she owns it) and through some strange magic I felt a need to find out more. Heck, I'm hopelessly addicted to caffeine - like any good working-class stiff. Let's give it a go. From the moment I walked in, I was enthralled. As if someone had carved a section of nirvana and placed it on a cozy street corner. Entering, calming music set the tone as the art and ambience emanated warmth. Being indecisive, I slowly trundled up to the register where a sharp and welcoming gentleman greeted me like I had been a regular frequenting for years. His name was Allen and this man made me feel like the long journey I was on could wait and I might find respite in this place. This is where I became hooked. Seeing my indecision the woman behind him (Angela, who I recognized from her unfortunate loss at the basketball courts) stepped towards me smiling to say hello and ask what I was in the mood for. I attempted to sound sure and asked for the special that day which was a delicious sounding matcha latte that I requested iced. Deep regret filled my heart as I focused long enough to observe the menu, seeing a pantheon of unique drinks that all would likely make my head spin. Almost clairvoyantly detecting my fear of missing out; she recommended some of the food options, making me an insanely delicious, filled croissant. She gave me an extra because she could somehow tell that I'm perpetually hungry. Not leaving anything to chance I opted for the fresh baked cookie sitting on the counter shelf as well. As I briefly waited and enjoyed my order, people came and left all seemingly captured by that same feeling washing over me. Bliss. I've been back to Uni Coffee multiple times now and each time I get to enjoy another handcrafted drink recommended almost specifically for me. I sit and enjoy the regulars sharing their stories with Angela as she listens intently and shares her thoughts. I curse myself for spending years making instant coffee at home or picking up some formulaic drink after waiting in a queue while the people around me stare at their phones. They say the best time to plant a tree is 20 years ago, but second best is today. With that, I thank the girl on the basketball court for teaching me it's not too late to appreciate the good things in life. P.S A customers dog came up to me and let me pet it for a really long time while I was there on that first visit. This may or may not have affected my review of this establishment.
