I've tried a few drinks here, and they've definitely been hit or miss for me. Black Sesame Frappe: 5/10 As someone who loves anything black sesame, I was really excited for this one, but it ended up being a disappointment. The whole drink tasted more artificial than I expected. The mochi on top was extremely sweet and had an odd plastic-like aftertaste, and even the black sesame sauce lining the cup tasted overly sweet and artificial. It kind of made me second-guess some of the other specialty drinks because I wasn't sure if they'd have the same issue. Mango Pomelo Frappe: 8.5/10 Now this one was a winner. Super flavorful, refreshing, and perfectly blended. I got it at 0% sweetness and it was still plenty sweet from the fruit itself. The crystal boba paired really well with it too. Strawberry Yogurt: 10/10 Probably my favorite drink I've had here. It's creamy, refreshing, and just really satisfying on a warm day. I find myself craving this one. They are known for their brown sugar boba. They have a roasted 'A' series that has cheese foam and brown sugar brûlée. I'm not a fan of cheese foam so we got the 'B' series which is the same thing but without cheese foam and brown sugar brûlée. Within the series, they have four options. Fresh whole milk or milk tea or matcha or chocolate. We got the milk tea. It already comes with boba. Their boba is soft and chewy. I did not change my sugar or ice level and the drink came out perfect. Not too sweet with a balance of tea fragrant. We also got strawberry yogurt and hích was blended and creamy. We prefer if it were strawberry yakult. It's located in the same plaza as Tajima with plenty of free parking. It is such a great study spot, so i'd highly recommend stopping by here during the day or evening to do work! They also have special drinks, so looking at the menu took me a bit because of the unlimited options on the menu! The peach yogurt comes with fresh pieces of peach at the bottom which was a nice add. The amount of time it took to prepare the boba is generally 10-15 mins so order ahead might be best. The people taking the orders are the ones prepping the drinks too so be patient. The ambiance and environment is very nice and good vibes for studying or just chilling with friends. The bathrooms are extremely clean and smell nice which is huge bonus points from me. The parking is always tricky in this lot but especially during peak hours. For this specific instance it was a bad experience. I ordered the chocolate covered pistachio frappe which was decent and very interesting considering it had a chocolate lined cup but while squeezing the cup I did notice the lip pop off a couple times which I thought nothing of. I studied for about 1.5 hours and they were playing some good music. I decided to order a drink to go and got a seasons tea with no ice and boba but upon receiving it, I noticed it had cheese foam on top which I didn't ask for. But since the drink took some time to make, I didn't bother asking for a new one. Things didn't go bad until I got to my car and tried putting the drink in my cup holder and the lid completely popped off and cheese foam spilled all over my hand and car. Cleaned it up and attempted again and it popped AGAIN. I came to realize the cups were too thin and when holding it normally, the sides would cave and pop the very already loose lid off. I dropped by Daboba since I was satisfying my Japanese 7/11-but-more-expensive cravings at Marukai. Daboba has been on my to try list since coming to SD but I've never been in just the right mood for it. The shop is spacious with plenty of seating and cute decor, and would definitely make a good study spot. I heard Daboba is known for their brown sugar brûlée drinks, so I got one with matcha. It was no pricier than other Convoy boba spots I frequent. There was a bit of a wait to get my drink, probably because the brûlée takes a while to assemble. The drink itself was not my favorite. The matcha was completely overpowered by the brown sugar, though the boba was pretty nicely cooked. I was also not the biggest fan of the aftertaste, which was a bit metallic to me. Overall I'm glad I finally got to cross daboba off my To-Eat list though it was just ok for me. However, I can see myself doing a study session in here, perhaps with a different drink, mainly to have an excuse to pop next door to get some onigiri. read more

The milk tea was good, but it does not taste like green tea, but instead it tasted more like a black tea based milk tea.
