    OMOMO matcha & Avocado smash
    Allison L.

There's always a line but the drinks are so worth it and it moves quickly! My new favorite is the OMOMO matcha, kinda more of a dessert than matcha, but so creamy and satisfying and the matcha flavor is there. 100% sugar is a bit sweet for me so I would get less sugar. Their boba is always perfectly chewy too!

    Long line on Christmas Eve

This has always been our favorite boba shop ever since they opened a few years ago. My daughter's favorite is the Omomo Matcha. On this particular visit, she ordered this and added Oreo cookies that were blended into the drink. You have to try this combination if you haven't already! The Oreo topping was extra, but it's worth it! The Omomo Matcha is my usual drink as well, but another favorite is the Taro Fresh Milk. It's basically a taro paste with fresh milk added. I like to convince myself that I'm just getting my daily intake of calcium. The sweetness comes from the taro paste. If you're a fan of taro, then you may like this drink. The line here is usually long, so to save yourself some time, online ordering is available. Note this boba shop is for take out only, there is no seating indoor or outdoor. The decor is simple and tasteful. When you walk in (after you make it through the long line), there is a glass mirror with the menu options. Place your order at the counter and step aside. You'll get a ticket with a number and they call out that number at the pick up counter. The wait time after you place your order is about 10-15 minutes, depending on how crowded it is. It's worth the wait!

You know the feeling when a shop is really busy and the line is out the door and yet you still stand in line for a hot minute and still order? Omomo's one of those places. It lives up to its reputation and there's a line for a reason. I haven't been here in almost a year now and yet my drink was still consistently good as it had always been. The shop is small, cute, clean, and the service is fast despite the insane crowds. I highly recommend this place. Overall rating: Drink: 10/10 Service: 10/10 Menu: 10/10 Shop Vibes: 10/10 Price to Overall Dining (POD): 10/10

The BEST matcha lattes in San Diego!!! I am obsessed bc of the high quality of ingredients you can taste! They use ceremonial grade matcha and strong flavorful teas. My go to is the Magnolia matcha which is matcha powder mixed in with their magnolia tea and milk (oat, regular, almond mixed together for a creamy texture) and I always add the tiramisu cream cheese topping / all for $7.25 and the cup is huge! which blows Starbucks always and other coffee shops. They also sell coffee drinks here that I have not tried but I bet the quality is supreme to other places. Will never go anywhere else! I am a loyal die hard customer for life!

Love this quaint boba shop that's exploded in popularity. I saw reviews warning of long lines, so I came right after work on a weekday and the wait wasn't too bad. I got the Black Jade Milk Tea with pudding, 80% sweet with less ice, and it was delicious! I loved the flavor with the pudding texture (sweet but not too sweet), and the price was about as much as a fancier latte at a coffee shop. There's no sitting room, which makes service go a little faster in my opinion. Definitely worth visiting again.

    Mango tornado with boba
    Corinna W.

I loved the drink I ordered. It's the mango tornado with boba. Loved the fresh mango bits in the drink. I ordered it with 80% sweetness which was perfect. Only thing iI wish was if they added more boba. They're not as generous as other places. Nonetheless the boba was fresh, soft and chewy. This drink was $8. I will definitely return for more!

A must when in SD! Decided to try this place due to its popularity, and I totally understand the love for it! I got the Mango Tornado with boba. I wish there was less cream and more mango but still delicious. The store itself is modern and nice. Considering the amount of drinks we ordered, it came out in a timely manner.

I had to run an errand up north and I decided to check out this place. I did hear good reviews. This boba place was in the Del Mar Highlands Town center. I'm never in this area and I was happy to see it was surrounded by other stores and goodies. (Sidecar Doughnut and Coffee is a few doors down) The decor was very minimal, screams zen, similar muted palette of tan, light green, black colors. I sat outside in my car for a few minutes while the line went down. The place was very busy but the staff seemed to get the orders out pretty quickly. I liked that their menu was on a glass mirror, it was neat but a bit hard to read. I got 3 drinks: 1. Grapefruit Smash-A refreshing and tart grapefruit slushy blended with fresh grapefruit juice. (added lychee jellies and cheese foam) My sister loved this drink, she said it was delicious. 5/5 2. MATCHA CORTADO CREAMOMO- A layered matcha milk tea mixed with our gyokuro green tea, premium matcha powder, and sweetened house milk, topped with Tiramisu or Cheese Foam. (added coffee jellies, not the best mix) My niece is a fan of matcha, so I got this one for them. They did like it, but probably would have liked the Omono Matcha instead but that one was frozen and I did not want their drink to melt. (they were going to drink it much later) 4/5 3. Thai Ice Milk tea-(added boba and cheese foam) A strongly brewed and spiced black tea mixed with our sweetened house milk. I got this drink, I was a little bit weary since I normally can't have milk, but the staff noted it wasn't tons of milk. Plus they use their 'sweetened' milk. I drank it over time and thankfully it did not upset my tummy. The boba was insanely soft and chewy, just the way boba should be. I'm a super fan of cheese foam and this didn't disappoint. That salty foam goodness on top is so tasty. 5/5 I will definitely come back again if I'm in the area. Ambiance 5/5 Food: 4.6.5 Service: 5/5

Worth the hype! I dropped by on a Wednesday evening, and surprise surprise - no line! I ordered the matcha cortado creamomo with tiramisu cream, and it was SO GOOD. 50% sweet, but 100% delicious. Service is courteous, ambiance is hip, drinks are made fresh and worth the price. I'll be back for sure.

A fair representation of the Omomo franchise but without the crazy lines found elsewhere. There have been times that they've run out of certain ingredients but overall decent tasting drinks.

Very clean and modern Tea/boba shop. Innovative drinks, multiple flavor combinations, variety of boba pearls. They do blended drinks with fresh fruits. Lots of seasonal drinks and specials. I don't love their long lines and also the menu is very hard to read (white print on glass). Other then that, the drinks are excellent, prices fair, cup sizes are generous.

    Marilyn N.

Great customer service. My first time here and the cashier was very helpful and knowledgeable with the menu. The order was completed faster than expected. All the drinks were delicious.

Oreo creme brulee matcha green tea with boba
    Jane R.

Not much of a line as of this day. First time trying them, got the oreo creme brulee green tea with boba. It is yummy as expected, but I wish I tried just the base first. The oreo taste was so overpowering that it was basically just drinking oreo, which I love, but I wasn't able to taste the quality of the tea as is. Everything was quick, barely any line. Overall yummy drink. I'll come back again and try other ones next time.

We both opted for the breakfast sandwich which is only under $12 (after tax). It comes with fruit or a side salad. And may I just say ... it was a DELICIOUS breakfast sandwich. The multi grain bread had some sort of grilled cheese on top. The medium eggs were perfectly done. The bacon was crispy and the avocado was creamy. The side salad with caesar dressing was generous and fresh. Friend had same sandwich but in wrap form. She also enjoyed it quite a bit. There's self serve water and ice. The sandwich at around $15 is pricey but feels more appropriate for what you're getting. A $12 smoothie isn't unusual in San Diego, but when the taste doesn't back it up, the price becomes a lot harder to justify. Food/Drinks: [3.5/5] Chicken Salad Sandwich -- A 3.8/5 for me. I'm from the South, so I have a pretty solid benchmark for what good chicken salad tastes like. For a healthier take on it, this one actually holds up--the dill was a nice touch and the soft whole wheat bread worked well. That said, I'm judging it on taste alone, not its nutritional value, and it's decent but not exceptional. It also came with vegan bacon bits, which I didn't mind. A solid sandwich, just nothing that wows you. Strawberry Delight Smoothie -- A 3/5. It's clearly a nod to Hailey Bieber's Erewhon smoothie and it looked the part, but the taste was just okay. I swapped the almond milk for 2% due to my nut allergy, which the staff accommodated easily, but even still it didn't wow me. At $12 I was hoping for more. Ambience: [4/5] The interior is on the smaller side but I came on a beautiful day and sat outside, which made for a lovely lunch break. One Paseo is a nice area to be in, so the outdoor experience saves it. Overall Experience: [3.7/5] Jan's is a cute concept and I get the appeal, especially in that setting. But the prices are genuinely hard to justify when you're right next door to Cava, where your money goes a lot further. I'd probably come back for the vibes on a nice day, but I'd be much more selective about what I ordered.
