This is a huge cafe with lots of seating, very open and clean. Great place to chat. The desserts in the cabinet look amazing. We had the honey pull apart and it's pretty good! They have an amazing pistachio latte, probably my favorite pistachio latte in San Diego. My husband loved the Turkish coffee and it had a great presentation. The pistachio latte is really good....one of my favorites, actually. The problem with Delah is that it is VERY overpriced. Sometimes they charge $7.95 for the latte and other times there is an unknown surcharge for it and it's suddenly $8.36. They have also changed out their cups so now you get a smaller cup for the same price that I've been paying since this place opened. I could also go without the attempt to upsell me each time on some pastries. If I wanted the pastries, I would ask for the pastries. Sadly, I have limited my visits here as of recently due to the reasons stated above. read more

For the drinks, food, & decor, I would have given 4/5, but our experience was left to be desired. I tried it for the first time this week and liked it so much I went a second time with my wife a couple days after. Almost all the tables were filled when we came in on a Friday afternoon. We saw who we assume is the owner go up and talk to every table and appeared to actively avoided our's. It's hard to not take it personal since we were the only openly queer family at the cafe. Hot pistachio latte: 4/5. I appreciated that the pistachio did not taste burnt. It tasted well roasted, but wish it was a smidge sweeter. Iced pistachio latte: 5/5. Once mixed, this latte was delicious. The pistachio flavor was so strong and was very tasty. Double pistachio baklava: 5/5. Delicious and liked the pistachios being so finely chopped. Strawberry honey cake: 3/5. The sweetness level and texture was perfect, but it tasted like artificial strawberry. It's a solid place, but the management really turned us off. read more

This place was soooo good! I absolutely loved it. The reason we came here was because a wonderful lady at the House of Palestine recommended it because the owners are either Palestinian or support Palestine. The workers were amazing, super helpful and nice, and made the experience wonderful. It was actually pretty big inside as well with a separate room as well it looked like for meetings or such. I wasn't sure what to get so we got a lot of stuff to try. We're from LA so we wanted to splurge. The rose and oreo milk cakes were yummy and moist, my bf loved the oreo one. The rose latte was so yummy, not too sweet with a nice rose flavor, but the star of the show was the pistachio latte. It was so perfectly sweet. I'm genuinely glad I gave this place a second chance because the difference from my last visit was night and day--in the best way. The Turkish coffee alone is worth coming back for: beautifully presented, perfectly brewed, and rounded out with that warm cardamom finish that actually lingers in a good way. The baklava was the ideal pairing--sweet, flaky, not overly heavy. We also tried the cinnamon date latte and the cheese + honey pastry (made by the owner's mother!!), and both were standouts. The latte is cozy without being cloying, and the pastry tastes homemade in the way you hope it will--simple, rich, and clearly made with care. You can absolutely tell there's intention behind everything here. Might be best for coffee but I don't drink coffee so I wouldn't know! I got their iced banan pudding matcha which was ok. $7.45 and it looked sooo pretty but taste wise the matcha flavor is not fully there and it was just ok. I wouldn't order again. Got the Turkish baklava chocolate one and it was delicious! So glad there's one in this area. But it was a bit pricey $5.75 for two pieces but I know I work that goes into it. I'd get it again! Lastly for the biscoff milk cake which is similar to tres leches. It just looked so cute! But honestly I wouldn't get it again. 2.5/5 to me. If you're ever in North Park, Delah is an Authentic Arabic Coffee Shop with a great selection of good teas, coffee, and/or any of their delicious sweets and treats they have. I ordered the Pistachio Latte half sweet just in case and it is delicious. Some friends of mine have already gone back multiple times! PLUS! Delah has been all over social media lately. I had several friends from outside San Diego send me reels of this place and tell me I had to check it out, so I finally did. I was a little hesitant because parking in North Park can be such a pain, but I was pleasantly surprised to find out they offer up to four hours of free validated parking. That's a huge plus, and honestly not something many cafés in North Park offer. The pastries all looked amazing, but I wasn't really in the mood for food, so I ordered the pistachio latte instead. WOW it was so good! Definitely one of the better pistachio lattes I've had. The staff was incredibly friendly, and I really liked the atmosphere inside. There are plenty of tables, and it seems like a popular spot for people to study, work, or just hang out. This was my first time trying this place and the baristas were very welcoming when I first walked in. I had asked if they were able to make a spanish latte x pistachio latte and even though they had never heard of it before, they were open to give it a shot. They were overall very nice even when one of the baristas handed me my drink she said I hope it's amazing! You could tell whoever made it, made an effort to make sure it was good! My first thought when entering was that this place had a nice vibe and the decor was cute. I had time to notice this because I had to wait in a line of 2 people in front of me which took quite a bit. When I made it to the front I placed my order, the girl was kind. I ordered a banana foam matcha and I was somewhat disappointed because they only offer one size for that specific drink I chose. When I received my drink I noticed that there was another matcha drink in a bigger sized cup and I asked the barista about the sizing and she said that's the matcha latte. She then kind of brushed me off leaving me no room to ask questions. She wasn't entertaining my discontentment..I took it as rude, but she may not work well under pressure and she was irritated. They give you a buzzer so you know exactly when your order is ready for pickup. They have a huge selection of sweet and savory pastries and specialty drinks. I asked the barista for recommendations that weren't too sweet and for a savory pastry. I went with her picks: an iced Yemen latte with less sweetener and the beef‑and‑cheese pastry warmed up. Both were excellent and had a distinct Arabic flavor profile -- new for me, and I loved it. They also offer validated parking, which is rare and such a plus. This is one of the newer cafes in the north park area and we LOVE IT. Decor is cute and lots of space to either work or connect. Definitely see a lot of folks meeting and hanging, which is nice to see. Selection of beverages and bites are unique and tasty. My husband and I like their hot chocolate. It's probably one of the best I've had and we go atleast once a week to treat ourselves. It's not too sweet and have a nice nutty flavor, though I do order it with almond milk and honestly, it's the way to go if you're not allergic. I came here twice and it's a great spot to study or hang out. The space is comfortable, spacious, and has a relaxed vibe. Since I started summer school online I will definitely come more often to study here. The staff were friendly, and they even had the World Cup game on, which made the experience even better. The coffee was excellent. It may be a bit pricey for some, but compared to others this coffee shop is one that I wouldn't mind paying. Plenty of drink and pastry options. I decided for the yemeni latte as well as the date latte. I couldn't really drink the date latte bc of the dairy (lactose intolerant here), but did take a sip to try. Loved the date latte. This is definitely a coffee shop with a different vibe than anything else in town. I love that they have traditional Turkish pour over coffee as well as a lot of different types of uniquely flavored lattes. I went kind of basic with just a pistachio latte, but it was a delicious drink. My man got a drip coffee with a little cream... He said it was just okay. Nothing special about the roast. We ordered two little desserts. Tried the lemon and coconut Turkish delight at the recommendation of the girl working behind the counter and also tried a Jordanian pistachio phyllo roll situation. OK, so to be honest, the Turkish delights are just not my thing. I traveled to Austria this past year and they had a huge market with a large section specializing in these Turkish pastries and I tried a bunch of them and I just can't get on board. They are weirdly chewy and not in an enjoyable way. Not to say there's anything wrong with it, it's just not my taste. The Jordanian pistachio roll was outstanding. I thought the service was good and the place is really nicely appointed and very clean. They served our desserts on very pretty gold plates that were much too large for the items we ordered lol, it looked nice, but was kind of a pain in the ass trying to carry it with our coffee drinks too. We started out sitting outside, but moved inside when a table became available because it was pretty hot in the late afternoon sun. I've tried several of their bites, but my favorites are the Rose Milk Cake, the Turkish Delights, and the Pistachio Baklava. Giving this place a four because of the atmosphere. The coffee pot I got was for two but could easily be shared with 3-4 people. The coffee itself had a lovely rich infusion of chai spices. I did think it was much lighter on the coffee side and heavier on the other spicws. The strawberry coconut drink I ordered for my daughter was really good! I would recommend this drink! This is definitely a sit down coffee shop not really a grab and go. The decor was very nice and inviting. There are lots of different seating areas for you to grab and even a private meeting room you can sit in. I'm not sure if it's reservation or first come basis. The more formal seating areas inside the cafe such as the sofas are for parties of 6 or more. My only suggestion with this place is redirecting the line.. so you can look at the food display first before ordering. The reason being is that the sweets and line are at opposite sides so by the time you get to the cashier you're taking additional time to look at the large selection of pastries and desserts but then feel extra rushed because looking and asking takes up more time. If you're one who is mindful of others and do not want to hold up the line it can be very anxious experience. I liked though that by the time I got to the cashier to take my order the staff was very kind helpful and did their best at explaining certain items and providing recommendations but with that being said it's not very efficient and can be time consuming therefore building up wait time for the line. read more

I've had Delah saved on my list for a while and finally stopped by on 1/24- landing right in the middle of their ribbon-cutting celebration. Wrong day to study, right day to vibe. The space is huge with tons of seating, regular tables, comfy lounge chairs, and even a tasting room. Plenty of room to spread out, which I loved. They also had a DJ, small tables set up, and someone doing henna tattoos, which was fun to watch. That said, it was definitely loud, understandably so, given the celebration. Food-wise, we tried the honeycomb bread with cream cheese filling and wow, so good. Soft, sweet, and absolutely worth ordering again. We also tried another cream cheese option that fell a little flat flavor-wise, but the honeycomb more than made up for it. I ordered a pistachio latte, asked for it iced, but it came hot and honestly kind of lukewarm. It might've just been the chaos of a busy event day, so I'm not holding it against them too hard. Upon entry, was cordially greeted by the nice staff, the ambiance of this cafe was extraordinary, as the seating areas all look inviting, soft music played in the background and the tasteful exotic of middle eastern decor is exhibited throughout. The display case of desserts and baked goods was alluring. My devilish self wanted to order everything but my angelic self seems to have more control... :) Looking for something interesting and unique, I ordered the pistachio milk cake. This cake was plated nicely in its bright green pistachio fluffy cake in a pool of creamy milk it tasted devine. To pair my delicious dessert, I ordered a Pistachio Yemeni latte with almond milk, which was also presented nicely but... upon the first sip, second and third sip it was a major disappointment; it lacked caffeine fort, lack taste and it was a waste of my time and $$. Because the staff were so nice, I didn't want to make a scene or complain, but sadly this drink ruined it. So, lots of ther reviews mentioned the same dissatisfaction with their drinks, I gave this place the benefit of the doubt and it's too bad this poorly executed drink rates a 1-2 star :( I'm reluctant to order any drinks here. The horrible Yemeni latte could NOT earn my 5 stars. But for the delicious desserts and the lovely ambiance of this cafe it deserves a visit. read more

Food that I ordered was great -it was still pretty early so I kept it light with some kunafa and pistachio baklava to go with my Yemeni Latte. The latte is fantastic with its cardamom flavor, was exactly what I was looking for. Really loved the pistachio baklava. Service was good, considering how busy it got during my 35 minutes there. The rest of the team showed up and the drinks were coming out in a very timely matter. While walking around North Park on a Sunday afternoon, we decided to stop by for coffee and pastries. We ordered a Lemon and Coconut Turkish Delight and the Jordanian Phyllo pastry. For drinks, I had a drip coffee and my fiancée had the pistachio latte. The drip coffee was just okay--a bit thin on flavor--but the pistachio latte was delicious, with a light roast flavor and perfect level of sweetness. The Lemon and Coconut pastry was well-balanced (not too sweet!), and the phyllo pastry was excellent, featuring whole pistachios and a subtle sweetness. I'm looking forward to returning to try an espresso-based drink and more of their unique pastry selection. The only thing I would not recommend is the mango fruit cake--that was such an unpleasant texture, it was gelatinous and tasted like a creamsicle not a mango. Stick with the milk cake!! Just an fyi, the storefront is along 30th st! I mapped to it using the directions from Yelp and ended up being in the back alley lol. What's good about this is (unbeknownst to me at the time) is that it's their back parking lot area and there's a QR code to validate once you get to the store. With parking being a premium in NP this is a huge plus. I tried their Yemeni coffee (spiced coffee), which reminded me of chicory coffee. And even though it was 730am they had a huge case of desserts that was just beckoning to be tried. I got the kadaifi, something I've never tried before. It's got the texture of frosted mini wheats soaked in honey and topped with pistachios. I love that I got to try something new. This is a newer place that opened in North Park and it's a total gem! The store itself is very spacious with lots of seating options inside and a nice, cozy vibe. I would definitely post up here to do some reading or computer work. The staff were really friendly and our drinks came out in a timely manner. To eat, we got the special baklava -- it's a bit pricey at $15 per slice but it's also extremely flavorful (not too sweet, not too savory). I'd recommend getting this if you go. To drink, we got the pistachio latte and the rose latte. The rose latte wasn't too strong on the flavor, more subtle which I found really enjoyable.
