I saw I had Sesame Donuts in my bookmarks and it didn't take too much arm twisting to convince Steve to come here. We got two donuts a piece and of course I had to get a Sesame Donut to live up to the brand name. This was a wonderful donut! It was a cake type and had a glaze with sesame seeds on it as the "frosting ". This created a sweet a just a little savory donut that was just marvelous. So amazingly good! My other donut was a Cinnamon Donut which also was great! Steve got an apple filled donut I believe as well as a Coconut Donut that I knew for certain as I had a bite of it the next morning. And without any hesitation that donut was amazing too! I highly recommend Sesame Donut and it appears they have multiple locations in the Tigard area. If you are wanting a unique kind of donut definitely pick up a Sesame Donut!

I stopped by Sesame Donuts in Tigard and left really disappointed. I purchased 48 donuts but was…read morecharged for 49. On top of that, the last 13 donuts were charged individually instead of being included in the dozen pricing. When I arrived, I specifically asked what the price was per dozen. The employee listed three different pricing tiers, but while she was helping me load the boxes -- each with 12 donuts that we counted together -- she never mentioned that certain "premium" donuts wouldn't be included in the dozen price. What doesn't make sense is why she would fill boxes of 12, count them toward a dozen, and mix in those premium donuts among the regular ones if they weren't actually going to be charged as part of the dozen. It was misleading and confusing -- especially since the donuts were spread throughout four boxes of 12, not separated or labeled differently. If certain donuts don't qualify for the dozen discount, that should be stated clearly before loading them in as part of a dozen. Handling it this way feels unethical and shady. The donuts themselves are fine, but the experience left a bad taste. I won't be returning.

You don't get that with the bigger shops that are open longer hours. I expect in a couple of years this place will be like Annie's-sold out at 5:30 AM! I am partial to Bavarian creams - and their pastry cream is the best I've had in the Portland area. What amazed me even more were the Apple fritters. They are usually gross concoctions of sugar and grease but these are lighter and full of flavor. I feel like anyone that can make an apple fritter craveable is winning what they do. Even though it impacts me negatively, it would be great to have people stop by for office runs and buy them up. I would've been so happy to see those donuts in the break room.

I ordered a maple bar(1.75) which had minimal frost and was kind of small. The old fashioned I ordered was again very tasty but VERY VERY small. Like the size of two little Debbie Doughnut holes. Overall a good doughnut, but I can do better value wise at other shops. I would return but not my first choice. *adding: Was there near closing so maybe I was getting the last of the day's supply, but the last doughnut should be as well prepared as the first.

There is a great exterior patio area and the service is delightful. I honestly had never heard of a kolache before I visited this facility. I can honestly say that it's a unique but delicious pastry that comes with your choice of filling at this shop. I went with the OG and was definitely not disappointed. I was able to chat with the owner while I waited for my food and had a very lovely interaction. In general, the atmosphere is very friendly and seemed like a very family friendly environment. Definitely check it out if you want to have some quality service while trying a pastry you've probably never heard of... all at an affordable price and in a vintage style restaurant.

I think 2-3 per person is more than enough. I myself am good with two to myself, but we always get a few more so we can try more flavors. We got a few to go and my favorite was definitely the spicy sausage. The cream cheese danish was also phenomenal. The eggs inside were also super soft and not over cooked. I do wish they had a slightly bigger menu, while there were a number of kolaches, it really seemed to just be different combinations of egg, cheese, and some breakfast protien (sausage, bacon, etc.). So one is just egg, then another is egg and cheese, another is sausage, egg, and cheese, then just sausage and egg, etc. All the different combos make it seem like there's a lot, but the real flavor options didn't vary a ton. But I will 100% be back, as it's a great grab and go breakfast options that's super delicious.
