Oh my gosh - I love this place! I always get the mango Jasmine iced green tea. It has a wonderfully scrumptious flavor that is so refreshing and satisfying to me. It is a true treat! My wife loves their bubble waffles! Toasty and yummy, pulling off those bubbles one by one and savoring each luscious bite! Unfortunately, they have been out of the waffle batter for some time which I believe they told us was coming from Taiwan. We will keep trying, because they are so good. Always a friendly and helpful crew working behind the counter. Most times it's crowded and you can expect a short line, but it moves along quickly. They also have an order board you can use. I like Happy Lemon. I first tried the Strawberry Black Tea with Lychee Jelly. I requested it with half lychee jelly and half boba, and I enjoyed it. Then, the Freshly Squeezed Lemon Black Tea with boba and less ice became my go to drink. It had a good amount of lemon flavor, and the tea was both sweet and a little tart. I liked the flavor of the boba, but the texture has been inconsistent. Sometimes it's perfect and other times it seems slightly overcooked. That's why I rate the drinks as 4 stars instead of 5 stars. The service has been consistently 4 stars as the drinks were prepared quickly even if there was a line. The space can feel small if there are other customers waiting with limited seating. This my second time visiting Happy Lemon and I have loved it both times! This location is in a really nice area, but doesn't have much room inside to sit-just one table and a small couch. I had to wait a few minutes for my order to be taken, but my drink came out quickly. I ordered my drink 50% sweet but felt like it was still a little too sweet so if you're someone who doesn't want it too sweet I'd definitely go with 30% sweet. I have had a wonderful experience at Happy Lemon before my visit today, but today it was a different story. The last time I was here the line was out the door. Today when my 10 year old son and I came in the door, the workers were all standing around in the back. We were the only customers in the store and there was no greeting just blank stares. One of their registers had an out order sign on it so we stood there thinking they must be closed and at any moment the workers would tell us that was why there was no one else in the store. That wasn't the case. I decided to break the silence and exclaimed "Well hello there and I hope you all are having a wonderful day!" Apparently that broke their trance and after I looked around to see who would greet us and take our order, they seemed to get it and said we would need to use the touchpad to order. After that they made our drinks and called our number once they were ready. The product was as wonderful as I remember, however, the rating is for the service. I'm not sure if they experiences a staff turnover where everyone quits and they have to rehire a new team but I expected the happy smiling, gregarious I am used to. Gluten free/Dairy free: I have walked by and wanted to go in. I am not someone who can do caffeine after 12 and usually when I'm walking by its way after 12. They always have new and interesting flavor options however I stay pretty basic and love their milk tea and also any lemonade no matter the weather outside. Happy Lemon is one of my favorite places to grab boba and bubble waffles so I always stop here before leaving Bridgeport Village. The drinks always taste great and the waffle is such a good snack especially with one of the dipping sauces. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that it seems like about an hour before their closing time they start to clean up for the day and start to limit menu items. It's not overly sweet, just right. I feel like if you want to have more of a bitter taste, change the level of sweetness. The black tea with salted cheese is great with 50% sweet level as well. I've been to many other happy lemons and I have to say this one is a bit disappointing. The drinks were just not that great and the place had very sticky floors which felt very uncomfortable. The strawberry drink didn't have much of a strawberry taste to it and the seeds were very annoying to drink. We first discovered HAPPY LEMON in Seattle, and were blown away by their Ube milk tea with taro pearls and bubble waffles. So we were pleasantly surprised to find a store in the Tualatin area. We ordered Ube milk tea with taro pearls, a dark brown sugar boba milk tea, and two bubble waffles. All tasted really great. We ordered 1/2 sugar and 1/2 ice on our milk teas and they turned out as expected. The bubble waffles were crunchy on the outside and soft in the inside, and were delicious! I have had my fair share of the Happy Lemon menu and this one unfortunately doesn't have as many drinks as other locations. This one has a pretty limited menu, but if you love the classics like Salted Cheese or Mango Matcha, you'll be fine. Since they didn't have my usual Mango Green Tea witth Mango boba... I opted for a Jasmine Green Tea with Salted Cheese Foam. I got it 100% sweet, but it actually wasn't very sweet. It had a great jasmine tea flavor and balanced well with the salted cheese. Happy Lemon is probably my new favorite bubble tea spot now! It was my first time coming in and the cashier was really helpful in answering my questions and giving recommendations. The service was quick and overall 5/5. I ended up getting a Jasmine Green Tea with Salted Cheese and pudding, as well as an original bubble waffle with salted cheese dip. The tea wasn't too strong and not too sweet since I cut down the sugar to 70% so it was perfect. My boss at our Chinese restaurant recommended to drink the tea with cheese foam like this: don't mix the cheese foam in the tea yet. First take a drink of the tea with the straw, then take the small topper off and sip the cheese foam after each sip of tea. This way you can really taste the tea and the cheese foam together, as opposed to mixing everything and mostly tasting cheese foam. As you keep drinking, the cheese foam with gradually mix with the tea so in the end it'll get mixed anyways. The bubble waffle was warm and crispy with some soft dough on the inside. It tasted so good when dipped with the cheese foam. I didn't know we could do that until the cashier asked me if I wanted the salted cheese foam with the waffle. I'll definitely come back to try the other waffle flavors! I'm also curious to know the difference between the salted cheese topping and the puff cream topping. The store was pretty clean and there were two small areas for sitting inside. The store had a very comfortable atmosphere and I'm just excited to come back and try a different drink flavor! read more

This is one of my favorite boba shops! The drinks are perfectly sweet but allow for the true flavors of the tea to come through. The boba is also nice and chewy - you can tell they're made fresh! I've been here several times and tried many different drinks. You can't really go wrong but my favorites are the brown sugar boba milk tea (get less sugar since it's very sweet) and any of the lemon/grapefruit teas with lychee jelly. I've also tried the salted cheese tea and I'd recommend it if you haven't tried it before! I know it seems a little weird but it's more of a salted cream foam and it's a nice balance to the sweetness of the tea. I've also tried the waffle and it's fluffy and fun to eat.
